My propane fireplace would ignite and then abruptly go out. It was so frustrating! Brett came out and discovered the flame sensor needed to be adjusted so that it was detected by the flame. Well this is disappointing. We purchased a ventless fireplace from them Over the winter. The install seemed fine but we needed to have a damper made. I paid BobBy $300 to have it made and he said he'd come by in about 6 weeks to Install. A few months later he texted to say he might have time Then he cancelled and I haven't heard from him since. I went back to the original Facebook Marketplace conversation and Sarah has deleted her account and her profile. Really not a good sign. If anyone has any luck tracking them down or has any further info please let me know! Now I'm not even sure if my family is safe with what what installed. ‍ read more

Our experience was very similar to the review by Tarana. Company will not return calls or emails. Tried to resolve amicably but they would not respond. Filed complaint with the DCP and they also did not respond to the DCP, they appear to not be licensed, others should file with the DCP as well. Reviews on BBB show similar scamming complaints.They have other small claims against them, and judicial cases, and appear to have not appeared to court in many cases. read more

Even after my last review two weeks ago, Fireplace Pros hasn't contacted me to resolve the situation. At this point, I don't want them to finish the job; I want my money back. They are being sued in small claims court in New Britain for a similar case. I'm currently trying to resolve this amicably, without going to court. Very disappointing. Bobby came out in August to fix our fireplace which stopped working again shortly after he was here. He also was ordering a fan for it which he said would take about 6 weeks to arrive. We paid for the fan and the service. When we called him to tell him it wasn't fixed he became unresponsive. We don't have any information on the fan either which we paid for in advance. read more

In October of 2024 I provided Fireplace Service Pros with a $450.00 deposit for my fireplace repair and was told the parts would be in and the repair made in one to two weeks. After this every phone call and email was ignored by Fireplace Service Pros. In December they finally called and said they would be making the service call on the Saturday before Christmas. I was very pleased as we use the fireplace daily in the winter and it is a center of our family's holiday and we had missed it on Thanksgiving. They never showed up for the appointment. Again, my calls and emails were completely ignored In February of 2025 I finally decided they are not going to show up so I issued a chargeback for my deposit with my credit card company. Well, a couple of days later they called and said they were so sorry and please to stop the chargeback and they will come out and do the repair. A young guy named Bobby showed up in the early evening, I had waited all day, in his personal vehicle, no business professional truck, with a screwdriver and pliers in hand and made the repair. The fireplace did not work right as it took a few seconds to light which it hadn't before, but I just accepted this and was glad to have it done. As the weeks passed the fireplace took longer and longer to light until it stopped working in April. I called Fireplace Service Pros and guess what, they completely ignored my phone calls again. Finally in May of 2025 I called and threatened to issue a chargeback for the poor repair and they, surprise, returned my phone call and said Bobby would be back out on Saturday. I waited all day and he never showed. They got back to me the following Wednesday and Bobby showed up in the evening as we were eating dinner even though I told him it was too late and he just came anyway - can you believe that?!? He spends five minutes trying to light the fireplace and says "yep looks like the gas valve". Well it couldn't be anything else, and I had emailed them about this, because everything else but the gas valve was replaced. I said okay go ahead and replace it and he said "we don't stock parts" so he would have to schedule another service call. This is the real kicker, he then said, "before I go we have to settle up". I said excuse me, and he said "you owe me $175.00 for tonight's service call". I was incredulous and said the fireplace was never working correctly after the first repair and he argued and said it was working fine when he left and this is a new issue, which of course it wasn't. As things started to get a little heated between me and Bobby, my wife stepped in a gave Bobby her credit card to just settle the matter which still infuriates me to this day. This in now EIGHT MONTHS after I first contacted Fireplace Service Pros, they did a poor repair, kept my family from having our fireplace for almost the entire winter season and then after a five minute stop at my home charged me an additional $175.00 service call, which is the highest service call charge I have ever paid to a contractor before, without even an apology for the aggravation they had caused us. I didn't have them back to replace the gas valve as I did the repair myself and this is when I found out one more thing about this awful company. They double the cost of the parts they sell you. My fireplace uses a very common gas valve that you can get anywhere for around $114.00. Fireplace Service Pros cost on the estimate they sent me - $229.00!!! Fireplace Service Pros sent a kid to my home that uses his own personal vehicle yet charges more ($175.00!!!) than any other professional contractor that has real training and a real business truck that stocks parts, and they will charge you double for all parts that you can easily purchase online for one half the cost. And one last note, after I installed the new gas valve, as soon as you hit the switch the fireplace goes 'swoosh' and lights as it should, not after two or three seconds, and this proves that Bobby didn't make the proper repair to our fireplace and I shouldn't have been charged for that service call. read more

My gas fireplace was going out on its own. We would restart it manually and then every once in awhile the pilot light was also going out. We called Fireplace Service Pros and Sarah came out to help. She was at my house for over 2 hours and cleaned all of the logs and the fireplace itself. She replaced embers and cleaned the pilot light. Sarah was meticulous, helpful and honest!! Our fireplace is burning beautifully and it actually throwing off more heat. I would definitely use them again and in the future when the logs need to be replaced, we will definitely call them!! I couldn't get my gas fireplace to light. Sarah spent almost an hour cleaning the pilot and the logs and finally replacing the batteries in the receiver for the remote, though the batteries were recently changed, but they were not all strong. She made sure that the fire would light by repeated activation of the remote, before she left. I was very pleased that she was so thorough. She also showed me how to clean the pilot with a swab if it got clogged, so I might not have to call again if this happens. I felt her charge was reasonable considering the amount of time she needed to spend to clean everything and check it out. read more
