Nearly ten months later, the part has not been installed and I have not received a refund. After I paid, an appointment was cancelled the afternoon it was scheduled, and a rescheduled visit was replaced by a text saying the part had arrived cracked and a replacement was coming. The company's last text to me was on April 21, promising an update the next morning. That update never came. I then asked for a refund by text, phone and email and received only an automated out-of-office reply. A written demand in June went unanswered. I have filed complaints with the BBB, the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, the Connecticut Attorney General and the FTC. Public court records also show a January 2, 2026 small claims judgment over an unreturned deposit in a case naming Fireplace Service Pros, LLC at the same address (docket HHB-CV25-5039427-S). If you are considering this company, check those records before you pay a deposit.

Deans was unable to tell the difference between a repair and buildup. I've also contacted Travis Industries the maker of the stove. To let them know about the experience I had with Dean's stove and spa. No customer should have to go through predatory selling tactics that deans uses. People are Travis Industries picked up the phone and at least took the time to listen. They asked for an e-mail and pictures and all of those have been sent off. Time will tell to see if anything happens. Lopi I did get back to me. So that's good. I've been not been waiting for over a week for my refund. I guess it's up to you whether or not you do business with them if you do good luck.
