They were not the lowest cost provider we evaluated, but their clear command of the project specifications/needs and our high quality project expectations made them the right choice. This project is of special significance for us because it is helping a son who recently loss his parents and decided to keep the house he was born and raised in - to start moving forward in his grieving process - making new changes... We hired CORRIGAN to replace a concrete front landing in 2016 that was constructed initially in…read more1953. We paid $3700. By 2022 it was spalling. We called CORRIGAN and he took no responsibility but said he could redo it for $5000. We agreed reluctantly. It now exhibits substantial cracking and breaking pieces. It appears that CORRIGAN does not have any employees. Rather he seems to be a middle man, subcontracting any job he gets, while approximately doubling the subcontracting fee. This has value if he utilizes competent subcontractors. Unfortunately it was not the case in either instance. You can use Google to search for a contractor, close your eyes, point at the screen, and have a better chance of finding a competent contractor than by calling CORRIGAN. Even if you pointed at poor choice, you could repeat the process and find another contractor while likely spending less money than you paid CORRIGAN

Zak performed some small repair work - sealing a sewer pipe, fixing some flashing, and sealing down a shingle - and gave me a complete inspection of the roof. He was honest, kind and more than reasonable! The fact that the owner of the company responded personally and came out to do the work himself speaks volumes about what kind of a small business that Zak runs. Zak was there the day after a hurricane for this minor repair and while his crews were out installing complete roofs. I'm so grateful for him and his business, and won't hesitate to recommend Slavin Home Improvements to everyone I know! While he was at my house, a neighbor wandered over to get a quote on some gutter repairs done and Zak made time then and there. If you want an honest, hardworking professional company, look no further than Slavin Home Improvements!

We had them replace the ripped porch screens, power wash railings, roof, and the entire exterior of the house, as well as clean the gutters. They also replaced our old lousy gutter guards. Rudy did several walk arounds with me during the project to show me the progress and point out areas of concern, such as places where there were gaps in the existing deck trim that had caused water damage under the fascia. They were able to replace all of the rotting boards and added new trim to cover the gaps, which we hadn't planned on, but it made the deck much more sound and looks great, even better than before! He also pointed out that a number of our other old window screens around the house were frayed or torn, and offered to replace them while they were there, at a very fair price. The entire deck/porch looks new again. His team took care to carefully clean up the work site before they left. This is a family business, and they were consistently kind and very responsive. We will definitely use them again for future projects.
