We paid Cromwell Energy hundreds of dollars to do an annual check/tune-up on our boiler this past fall, as we do every year. They apparently neglected to replace the oil filter and we had to call in an emergency repair service when our boiler stopped working, which also cost hundreds of dollars. The repair person today said they probably didn't replace the filter because it was so clogged it was difficult to remove and they didn't want to bother. Obviously, we'll never be using Cromwell to service our boiler again. read more

This is the second time calling them for AC. First was installation of new AC. Two years later called them for an issue. They were able to come out that day. Eric was the technician, he listened to what I had to say then diagnosed the problem quickly. He explained everything very well. The issue was fixed within the hour. He then checked the air temperature coming from the vents to make sure it was up to standards. Would definitely recommend to others. read more

We had a new furnace and tankless hot water heater installed this year, and are very pleased with the result. They patiently answered all my husbands questions, and completed the job quickly. There was a small leak the next day and they came out in an hour. This summer during the first heat spell, our central air quit. We had an appt with the company that installed it for a routine cleaning this spring, and they cancelled, saying they would call to reschedule. That didn't happen. When it quit this summer, we were told by that original company that it would be up to 3 weeks before they could come out. We called Cromwell Energy, and they were there within 2 hours! The repair (and cleaning) took under an hour and was a fraction of the cost. I'm so pleased with this company! read more

These guys are unbelievable! Remember the service you used to get from local businesses now replaced by big box stores? Now there's Home Depot, CVS, and Aiello Home Services. These larger companies simply have no interest in providing the level of service that Lou and his service consultants offer. These guys are true professionals offering honesty, transparency and that old school level of customer service so hard to find today. I have been using Cromwell Energy for the past 4 years to perform annual preventive maintenance on my two furnaces / AC units, and hot water heater. The techs show up on time, are neat and courteous, and most importantly, very knowledgeable about the mechanical systems they are assessing. Their skills are great to fix anything if needed in advance of a total malfunction. If rarely there is a minor issue, they respond promptly and courteously. I find their charges to be reasonable given the amount of work time and materials used. I will continue to rely on Cromwell Energy to keep my HVAC and hot water heater up and running. They were easy to work with and did an excellent job. We had them do an oil to gas conversion. They removed the old oil tank and patched the hole in the foundation. We also followed up with a furnace and hot water heater cleaning a couple years later. read more

This is my second time using Cromwell Energy Services. They not only arrived on the same day but were professional, honest and fixed the problem I had with my water heater at a reasonable cost. In today's day and age some companies are looking to make a quick buck and leave you high and dry. My sister called Aiello Home services and they tried selling her a new a/c unit when in fact all she needed was a small repair. I mention Aiello because this is not the first time I heard about their non transparent shenanigans..... They don't care about customer convenience, they are argumentative and their products regularly break. Do not do business with these people if you care about your time and investment.
