Good experience with Fire Finesse. Ashley was our salesperson and answered all our questions and worked with us to make sure we got the options we wanted on our gas insert. Installation generally went smoothly - the only issue was the plumber Fire Finesse recommended to run the gas line "forgot" to pull the permit so we had to get another plumber lined up to complete the work. However, Fire Finesse was great about rescheduling until after the gas and electrical work was done. I would go back again. read more

Many years ago I was searching for a fireplace insert for wood. I did a lot of research and stumbled upon Brenda and her shop. Great price and service. I had her crew install and have been very pleased. I have stopped in occasionally for warranty heat tubes and have always been welcomed when I walk thru the door of the shop. Some 20 years later I stopped and and ask Brenda and crew about pellet stoves. They gave me plenty of facts and assisted me in purchasing what I wanted. They even sold me parts for install ( which I performed myself) They could have easily told me to go away but were always willing to answer all my questions no matter how dumb my questions were. My experience with Fire Finesse was less than ideal. We purchased a floor model pellet stove about 8 weeks ago. When we made the purchase we understood that this was a floor model and that the business was most likely swamped due to COVID-19. As a result we understood that the installation would not be immediate (even though the unit was on hand in the showroom). This is where our experience began to deteriorate. The unit was supposed to be installed mid October, but we received a call from the company about 4 weeks ago stating that since it's a floor model they have to check the unit, order parts and tighten few bolts so when installed it will be in good order. As a result, installation would be delayed so that it could be properly inspected and a new date was set to November 20. The day prior to our new install date, we received a call from the owner "warning" us that the unit would be delivered with an issue with the door (it doesn't close properly or fully). This was news to us. Why would we be informed the day before delivery that the door was faulty? Why was this not told to us when we bought the unit, yes it was a floor model, but the information was not given to us about the door? Additionally, as the owner of the store, why would it in any way be acceptable to deliver a unit that was faulty. With this being a unit that is supposed to heat a home, the safety of having that unit is very blatantly wrong. Where the experience deteriorated even more, is when the owner insisted that we knew the door was faulty when we purchased the unit. I can assure you we did not. Three of us saw the unit in the showroom and all three were sure that it functioned properly and no note of this was made when we were showed the unit by staff. Why in the world would we purchase fire burning device that had a faulty door (floor unit or not)?! I understand that COVID has put a strain on local businesses. However this seems like poor customer service all around. We returned the unit and will be looking elsewhere, and recommend you do the same. read more

When I cracked the glass in the door of my wood stove, I was referred to Fire Finesse from a suggestion from someone on FB. Thank goodness others have gone here and sent me here! Jessica took the time to go through all options with me, even called around places to check part numbers and find the glass for me. She is patient, extremely knowledgeable, helpful and continued to assist me even after I forgot to get the glass gasket. I'll certainly be going back there for all my wood stove needs and gaskets. Our experience with Fire Finesse has been great! From the time we entered their showroom, purchased a floor model hot tub, and had it delivered we have only had positive communications with them. They were flexible and patient with us, waiting while we prepped our location. They even provided us with the names of people/companies to help us in the preparation of the pad for the hot tub to be placed on. Delivery was on the date expected and on time. Delivery crew (3 men) were all polite, careful and knowledgeable about how to transport and move the hot tub into place. Due to Covid, we were told right up front that there might be some delays with steps and a cover (up to 14 weeks from date of order). At the time of delivery, our cover had still not come in so we were provided with a used cover to use temporarily until ours comes in. So far, we have not had any issues at all, product is exactly what we expected and customer service has been great. read more

I contacted Fire Finesse in early December for a service call. The thermostat on my fireplace insert stopped working. I was told they were extremely busy with Christmas orders and they would contact me after Christmas. They did and said their tech would be there within a couple of days. Tom came on the state and time promised. He was very knowledgeable about my insert and knew exactly what to do to replace the item. He was very courteous to me and careful with my home furnishing. He took care as not to make a mess and cleaned up promply after putting the unit back together. I can not say enough about how pleased I was with his service call. It was really nice to have someone come into your home and be respectful not only of you but your belongs. Great service, reasonable price. We had a bad experience with another place and they renewed our faith in a small business. I would highly recommend them. This is an addendum to the above. We have had some problems with the fireplace installed. Nothing major, but, needing attention. Fire Finesse has been horrible in responding to our needs. You can't get them on the phone and they don't return your message until days later, if at all. The explanation is that they were busy and didn't pick up the messages(??). Then when you do talk to them, they say they call back in a day or two to set up an appointment and two weeks later haven't heard from them. I would not use them. read more

I had my stove installed in 2010. I regret waiting so long to post a review. But after reading several other reviews with EXACTLY the same problem I had, I feel it's my responsibility. Brenda was very knowledgeable and helpful in picking the right stove for me. The installation was another story. I think my stove was dropped on the driveway. I didn't see it, I only heard it. It Wasn't till much later I saw the dents underneath while removing it to have a chimney sweep cleaning. Also the chimney sweep (a licensed contractor) said my chimney liner clearance to the chimney cap was inadequate. He said this would affect my draft. I had called Brenda weeks after the initial install complaining of a weak draft. When I finally got her on the phone, she said I needed to "get used to the stove". This business's customer service could use some help! read more

We recently moved into a new home in Glastonbury that came with a Hot Tub. Never having used or set up a Hot Tub before we had no idea how to put it together, turn it on, or maintain it. Having driven by Fire Finesse I stopped in and spoke with Brenda regarding some questions that were probably moronically stupid but which she gladly answered. Not only hooked me up with all the chemicals and materials I needed, they patiently explained how to get everything set up. Brenda was able to find the exact model and serial number details to replace a couple damaged parts and even helped me get warranty information on a Grill that her shop didn't even sell. Stove insert is great. The staff that works in the shop, also great! The owner of Fire Finesse however, not so great. Never returned my phone calls or emails after installation with regards to what had happened to my existing fireplace topper and the old gas insert that I'd had. Kevin had specifically told me to keep them both if I decided to move and wanted to take the new unit with me, I'd have the old ones to put back in the fireplace. A simple apology or some explanation of what had happened would have been sufficient. I spent weeks trying to see what had happened to them, zero response. We purchased a very nice soapstone fireplace in December. Brenda was extremely knowledgeable about the products and provided good customer service. However, installation did not go so smoothly. The soapstone on the wood stove was damaged on both sides and the top during installation. The installer took pictures and assured us they would repair it. Several calls later the owner came out to look and again promised it would be repaired. It has been six weeks since the wood stove was installed (and damaged) and we still haven't heard back from anyone. It seems once they have your money the customer service ends there. read more

Delay after delay, no return phone calls and product is not worth the money paid. We found this company on the internet. We went to their place of business and they were wonderful. We were looking for fireplace glass doors and screen for our recently installed gas log. We had to have the doors custom made because we have an arched fireplace. Kevin, the owner of the company, came out to our house, took measurements and made a diagram of our fireplace(because every arch is different) and said we'd have our glass doors in 6 - 8 weeks. Chris came out last week and installed our custom made doors. The fit exactly and look wonderful. I would highly recommend this company. We will be using them for service on our gas log. I have had nothing but great experiences with the folks at Fire Finesse! I purchased gas fireplace from them in 2016 and they were instrumental in helping me find the right fireplace and guided me and my contractor through the install (even though i didn't hire them for the install). The fireplace itself was very reasonably priced compared to several other quotes from different vendors. Several months later when I contacted them with concerns about smoke venting, they responded with a phone call right away, and even came out and provided a cleaning and some diagnostic suggestions for changing the venting that my contractor performed. Recently (almost 3 yrs after purchase) when my remote wasn't working correctly, I called and they emailed me some troubleshooting suggestions right away. The prices are competitive and the customer service at Fire Finesse is EXCELLENT!! I highly recommend them to anyone with gas fireplace needs. read more

Ordered some gaskets for my stove. Two weeks go by, called them and was given a BS answer about the gaskets being repackaged and not being available. So I had them send me the gaskets so my chimney sweep can install them. Got the parts next day and had them installed only to find out that they sent me the wrong size gasket. Broke the torsion spring in the process of trying to get the stove door closed. So I went ahead and ordered the new spring and gasket from another dealer. Received BOTH items in two days. read more
