These gentlemen did an amazing job on our 150-year-old pine floors. I forgot to take a "before"…read morepicture, which is super sad-- there had been carpet down for a long time, so the floor was covered in glue, scuffs, and assorted marks. The Daigle family came out here and worked a miracle. I gasped when I saw them. And I found this company to be super affordable. I also really appreciated how personable and friendly they both were (father and son team). I know some people don't care about whether a contractor is friendly or not-- just as long as they are skilled-- but for me, if I'm going to have someone in my home for hours at a time, I want it to be a pleasant experience. One warning-- they wanted to start work at 6am. Which I permitted, since I get up early, but my husband almost had a fit. I've had many workmen start at 7:00, but 6:00?! Anyway, I'm sure I could have talked them in to starting at a more reasonable hour if I had asked, but be prepared.

Brian came in, assessed the situation, let me know what I needed to do on my end. When I was ready, he came in and got the job done. My floors are beautiful. No need to get carpet or laminate. He was able to piece the flooring. You would never know it wasn't this way always. Gorgeous! They are professional, reliable and trustworthy. Thank you Brian for all you did!

Warren Simpson & Sons Carpet & Home Improvement - Terrible job

We had a written contract to make some cosmetic updates to my home. I gave Warren Simpson a down…read morepayment to start the work and his contractor never showed up. Unknown to me, he subcontracted out the work (except the floors). Because we had a written contract, he found another subcontractor but instead of ensuring that the price remained the same (the new contractor charged more than half of the original amount)...and Warren pocketed the money from the deposit and used the entire amount for the floors. Warren's responsibility was to sand and polyurethane my floors. The results was satisfactory at best. The sanding was not complete nor consistent throughout - many areas looked they had not been touched. The polyurethane was not always spread evenly across the floors - in fact, there were drip marks in some areas and other areas looked like he ran out of polyurethane completely. After expressing my disappointment to Warren, he indicated that he put one coating down and all I needed was a "2nd coating" to improve the overall look of the floors. With a little resistance, he reluctantly agreed to return and re-do the floors after my contractors finished their work. I scheduled the return visit 3 weeks in advance because he indicated that he would be on vacation and then on a job. Despite my persistence, Warren continued to delay my job and ask me to call him back or tell me he would call...and I would never hear from him. I became quite anxious as my move in date drew closer. No Warren. Suddenly out of the blue, he claimed I asked him to start at the last minute when I had been contacting him continuously - feeing like I had to chase him down to do the work. I am the customer! After several heated discussions back and forth, he agreed to meet me - but Warren never showed up!!! That was IT...I had it. Even after that, I gave him a final opportunity to return and did not call or show up. Desperate not to reschedule my move in date again - I seeked out a reputable flooring contractor to completely re-do the job. 5 days later (after NO communication), he tells me that he will show up to finish the job. "Is this a joke"? I ask myself? I decided to keep the current contractor because Warren had been so unreliable. I couldn't trust his word or his work. During this process, I discovered that the average number of coats that should be put on a floor is 3 or 4, not "one" coat! My floors are so sanded, they look like newly installed wood...so very different than what I saw with Warren Simpson & Sons. I could say more - but I think anyone seeking a reputable and professional contractor will get the point. Buyer be ware...

Galaxy - runner cut, seamed and installed

"Gimme three steps, gimme three steps, mister Gimme three…read moresteps towards the door?" (Lynyrd Skynyrd) After we had our hardwood floors and steps sanded and refinished, we decided to pretty up those steps with a carpet runner, which explains why we visited Galaxy Discount Carpet Store today. That decision ended up being a FIVE STAR experience. Their two floor showroom is just incredible! Sample boards, rolls stacked on the floor in rows, area rugs hanging from the ceiling, gorgeous stuff everywhere. We met with Charlie and explained to him what we were looking for. He said that staircase runners can either be pre-manufactured in big rolls, or custom cut from carpeting meant for rooms. We knew we wanted a runner in some shade of gray to complement our wall color, and decided on a carpet runner to be cut from a big grayish roll and then finished with black binding along the edges, to complement the black stair rail and contrast with the white stair risers. It was installed 72 hours later, and that was pretty amazing in it's own right. Communication with Galaxy was great. Charlie was a dream to work with, the installers called us the day before install to confirm the date and time window, and the van with two workers arrived as scheduled mid-afternoon and did a neat professional job on the install. Charlie's price was $140 less than one we had from a flooring company out in our neck of the woods, and the carpet quality was better at Galaxy. Everything went well, and the stairs look great!

We are satisfied customers! They are now starting the process to come to my home for flooring and carpeting in my home. Thank you Pastor Suzanne
