Jonathan and Pat are wonderful. They were kind and patient with us as we changed our minds repeatedly until we finally had our "AHA!" moment. Thier contractor team is outstanding! They were helpful and ready to answer any questions or concerns with out getting annoyed with me. I came out of our Kitchen and Bath remodel feeling like I had made friends with the contractors who worked on my home. Kevin is an excellent project manager and I very much appreciated all of his and his contractors attention to detail and workmanship. Would definitely suggest Schneiders Flooring for any work to be done, they are so much more than "floors". I will definitely be back for the next big project in our home. Thank you all. read more

I had flooring installed in May and have had only challenges and lack of timely communication throughout the entire process. Staff would not return calls or provide estimates as promised, requiring my having to initiate following up with staff on 5-6 occasions when they did not act congruent to their word. My floor was installed and it revealed knots and colors not depicted in the sample; I again had to pursue follow up weeks later to only be told the manufacturer determined that I should somehow have anticipated these knots and colors to exist in spite of the sample not even indicating in writing these potential variations and staff not educating me to this point. The contracted staff who actually installed the flooring itself were professional, thoughtful, considerate, and hardworking. They did a wonderful job on the floor itself. However, the floor is not consistent with my expectations and, even worse, main business staff fails to communicate in a timely way to resolve outstanding issues (such as needing to re-install a small molding piece that has been outstanding for nearly two months now). While I empathize that the business may be experiencing staffing limitations and transitions, the lack of communication and action turned an otherwise joyous renovation into a stressful and disappointing experience. I will not personally use this company for future renovations, which is disappointing. read more

My experience was not good. The sales "consultant", Rich Buttenschon, was deceptive and not at all honest with me during the quoting process. He needs to be watched carefully. read more

This is an old fashioned customer service oriented excellent company that is a rare thing these days! We have done business with Schneider's Flooring America for the last 15 years. Over the years we have had them install tile in kitchen, 2 + bathrooms and our sunroom and carpet in our entire second floor. The latest project that we had their help with was a DYI project to put a tiled backsplash in our kitchen and then a backsplash in our sister-in-law's condo. Our interactions with the Sales and Support folks has always been professional and timely. They offer a great variety of products and their prices are very competitive. We gave them five stars because because they are a pleasure to deal with and even if there is an issue (which is a rarity) they have gone above and beyond to make it right. Jocelyn, thank you very much for your support with the kitchen backsplash project!! read more

Schneider's Flooring America - Kitchen Backsplash project that we installed in September 2020 - Carpeting Near Me - Vernon, Connecticut

Recently we had an excellent experience working with both the sales staff and the carpet installer. Sales staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to take samples home. Installer was prompt, friendly, and had decades of experience installing carpets. This is our third time working with Schneider's (carpet install 15 years ago, bathroom tile purchase 5 years ago). And all three times it was a great experience. Would highly recommend choosing this company. read more

This is absolutely the BEST company I've ever dealt with! They will stop at nothing to make sure their work is done to your satisfaction. We had a minor, MINOR issue with a kitchen cork bulletin board and they came back repeatedly and repeatedly until they got it right. They also installed tile above our new kitchen counter. The design- a design they put an enormous amount of time into- was very creative and the kitchen came out spectacular. read more

My only regret is that I've taken so long to write this review...Schneider ' s Flooring America was amazing to work with, very helpful, professional, and patient, when my husband and I had a difficult time trying to decide which tile we thought would look best for our bathroom floor. When we narrowed the choice down to 3 different tiles, they let us take home large samples, so that we could see how the tile would actually look in our bathroom. They worked within our budget, and worked well with our contractor (we had the bathroom partially remodeled). After the tile arrived, the installer laid it out in a few different patterns and helped us make the decision as to which layout would look best in our bathroom. The installation of the tile was flawless. When we later that day discovered that there was a small hairline crack in the marble threshold piece (that goes in the doorway between the tile and the hallway hardwood floor), Schneiders sent the installers back out (same day) to replace it, and the installer was very apologetic, even though it probably was not his fault. We have a beautiful tile floor, thanks to Schneiders. We will definitely use them again for our next flooring project (and now they do kitchen cabinets and other design projects too). I highly recommend Schneiders! read more

SERVICE: was very professional, friendly, and thorough. I received help selecting the right type of carpet and a pattern that would work with the paint colors in my office. They were very patient and walked me through many different options. They also allow you to check out samples to take with you to your home or office. SELECTION: very good, from low to high range, they have it all. AMBIANCE: nice, clean, and spacious. There is plenty of parking in their lot. VALUE: decent. read more

Great business! The sales reps are very helpful, very knowledgable, very patient, and down-to-earth. Huge selection of high-quality carpet in a wide range of materials, prices, colors and styles. From start to finish our experience with Schneider's Flooring America was wonderful. We had a tile kitchen floor redone, changing from medium square tiles to a much larger tile on a diagonal, and the installer laid it out BEAUTIFULLY. I love walking into this kitchen every day now. Right after this we had a den carpet replaced, and everything went smooth as silk. From sales representatives to installers everyone is professional - on-time, accessible, happy to help and explain, and they do a superlative job prepping and installing. No short cuts. Make things easy on yourself. Go here. read more

I'm writing this update to the product, installation, and the merchant. Once again I have nothing but GOOD to say about our experience with Schneider's Flooring America. The day before I planned to start the installation, I realized that I needed to have a transition molding from a marble saddle to the new LVT floating floor. So a late afternoon call to Schneider's to make sure someone was in the warehouse(preferably Rick) and I was out the door and in my car in minutes flat. Apparently, Rick had stayed past his normal quitting time and once again was very helpful in choosing just the right product and style of transition molding. Image of tile and molding provided above the review. As for the installation and the product, GREAT!! At first I was a little concerned as we started into the first box, there were two or three tile with damaged edges. Put aside we were able use them later in the project where those edges had to be removed. Most cuts were score and snap, with a sharp utility knife. Some ripping and cutouts, on a table saw. That was a little messy, but not as bad as the airborne dust when we cut the wood laminate planks. The tiles Laid down nicely, and the ClickRITE™ seal went together with no gaps. My wife loves the color, and the feel of the tiles. 12" x 24" Tradesman by Downs. Make know mistake, they do not compare to ceramic tile. For that reason, it is feet friendly flooring. It is warm, forgiving, and inviting underfoot. Quality Rating: 5 Star warranty from the manufacture. I am considering Luxury Vinyl Tile instead of wood laminate in replacing some carpet in other rooms. We will definitely go back to Schneider's Flooring America for help with that. read more

I visited several carpet places, talked to lots of salesmen, had several measurements and estimates done...and my decision to do business with Schneider's Flooring America was an easy one! From beginning to end, it was a pleasure. My special thanks to our salesman Pellegrino, whose patience, professionalism and knowledge was invaluable. I had a great experience with Schneider's from sales to installation. Thank you so much. My place looks fantastic!!

Schneider's just installed new carpeting in a relatively large (800 square feet) area of my home. From start to finish, the process went very well indeed. Extremely professional and courteous staff, especially our salesperson Pellegrino, are a big reason to shop at this family-owned business. Also, the value and selection are good, Dave the installer did a fine job, and we love our new, really beautiful carpeting! Would definitely recommend this business! read more

Incredible!!! That's what I must say about my experience with Schneider's!! Starting with Jocelyn, her product knowledge is outstanding!! I described what I wanted and in a matter of minutes we had picked out the carpet for my family room. I am pretty picky with what I purchase and never has it been this simple. Scheduling was a no brainier, they worked with my schedule and installed when I wanted. Hmm ever hear that one before?? Installation at the customers schedule not the stores!! Simply awesome!! Now onto the install, the installer was beyond professional and incredibly thorough. While removing the old carpet He discovered old loose tile underneath called out to me and asked if I wanted that removed. He said we should do this right and I am not sure how happy you will be with old loose tile underneath. He removed the tile and installed the padding then the carpet and the room came out spectacular. If you want a simple stress free experience I highly suggest you give these guys a shot at your next flooring project and I heard they do kitchens and bath design now as well!!! My next project I will be phoning Jocelyn for sure!!! read more

Excellent service. They did exactly what they promised to do on time and at a reasonable price. The installer did an excellent job and cleaned up when he was done. I would go back anytime I had a need for flooring. read more

I recently replaced my master bathroom countertop. After looking at several places, I settled on Schneider's. The initial recommendation came from my neighbor who used them for her kitchen remodel. She was very pleased and there's nothing like a personal recommendation. After checking various reviews online, I went with Schneider's . Jonathan was a pleasure to work with, explaining the different types of material that one could use. I went with the engineered quartz and it is just beautiful. There was a small glitch where one of the pieces came out backwards, but a week later it was ready and it was installed. Also, there was a matter of smoothing out the walls as the installers had not left them "paint ready". Jonathan handled that so that my painter could just come back and finish painting. Now, my bathroom looks beautiful. I think Jonathan goes above and beyond to make sure his customers are satisfied and to me, that is a hallmark of a great company. I would not hesitate to use Schneider's again for any remodeling or flooring needs. read more

We were very pleased with the service we got from Schneider's. We were looking to replace our carpet in our 600 sq ft finished basement with tile - after a free measurement, Jocelyn was very helpful in getting a range of both porcelain and ceramic tiles that would fit our budget. We ended up getting a really sharp grey porcelain tile that matched our existing color scheme very well. The installation was just finished this week and was done very professionally - we are extremely happy with the result. The installers finished the entire 600 ft installation in a day and grouted the next day in about 3 hours. A general pet peeve of mine is when contractors don't clean up well or take appropriate prep steps. In this case they get extra marks for putting down dropclothes on the stair runners and doing a good job cleaning up. Overall I would absolutely recommend them for flooring and installation and we will be using Schneider's for our next project! read more

We had a pre finished white oak floor installed by Schneider Flooring. They did a fantastic job; we could not be any happier with our purchase. The service was timely; the installers were professional, polite, and left the area clean. The office staff followed up to make certain we were satisfied. My husband and I have bought carpeting for many years at Flooring America starting in 2009. We had living room and den at our Vernon home. My mother in law had carpet put into her home from Flooring America in 2010. IN September of 2013 we had carpeting installed in the hallways, stairs and bedrooms just before we listed our home. Most recently we had This company install carpeting in our Manchester Condo living room, hallway, stairs, and bedroom. Staff has always been courteous, timely in ordering and installing the carpet. The carpet installers worked on the designated days and times that they said they'd be at our place. We've never had any problems and have always been pleased with their service. read more

We recently had a backsplash put in our kitchen. The men who did the work couldn't have been nicer and more efficient. The work was done in less than 1 1/2 hours. It looks great. We had many things to chose from. Jocelyn was a big help. I would recommend Flooring America to anyone considering remodeling their kitchen read more

From the begining to the end of our experience, they were professional, patient and quick. Walked in to their showroom one afternoon and came home with some samples of their recomandations. I have dealt with this company (Schneider's) for years, and have never been disappointed. I have purchased carpeting, floor tile, kitchen backsplash tile, and Nature Cor flooring. I have been extremely pleased with all of heir products. The entire staff is very accommodating, unpressuring, polite, and knowledgeable. The showroom is very spacious and well laid out. They did a fantastic job on our 60x12' barn annex floor. They got me a great deal on a beautiful barn-board print vinyl sheet and were able to install all 600 pounds of the stuff with NO SEAMS!! They used heaters and came to check on the setting process to ensure no bubbles, too. The floor is holding up to 8 cats, a pit bull, teenagers and even the occasional chicken that gets in there. We needed tile and carpet, after looking at different places, we found Schneider's. The were professional, friendly and wanting to help us with choices. We kept looking at other places, but kept coming back to Schneider's. Jocelyn even gave us some tiles as inserts for our floor, saying she had bought them for herself and decided against using them. We had them install the carpet, and that went without a hitch. We installed the tile ourselves, and Jocelyn and her husband gave us some pointers and said they were just a phone call away. We will go back to them when we re-do our bedroom for carpet. read more

My husband wanted to go to Schneider's because of their commercial, "Where friends send friends." We live some distance away and there are many flooring stores near us. My husband said, "humor me". So I did and to my surprise I was very impressed. Started in the stored when picking out our flooring. Most stores made us feel like we were poor and did not spend much time with us. When we were looking at Schneider's flooring, we were offered refreshments, help with colors and indicated there was no pressure at all. We picked out our samples and were told if we decided on one, that the gentleman that measures the room will pick up the floor samples, that we did not have to drive them back. Everyone was very friendly from individuals in the store to Tom measuring the room to Don who put in the flooring. The job was somewhat difficult as we have a number of doorways and a lot of little cuts to make. Don did a fabulous job. We most certainly will tell our friends to go to Schneider's for flooring.
