$450 for a pool opening and one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in years…read more The pool was left green, the walls were not cleaned, the water level was so high that the skimmers couldn't function properly, the pump schedule wasn't set, and the grounding wire for the pump wasn't even reconnected. We had severe thunderstorms that very night. That level of carelessness is completely unacceptable from a professional pool company. Before anyone says, "Pools don't clear overnight," I understand that. I've owned a pool for years and have both opened it myself and hired pool companies. A green pool on opening day isn't the issue. The issue is that there was little indication that enough had been done to start the recovery process. There was virtually no chlorine smell, little to no improvement after the opening, and when I questioned it, I was simply told that chemicals had been added. What really turned this into a one-star review was the response from the company. Instead of addressing the concerns, I was met with excuses, dismissive answers, and a rude attitude. The woman I spoke with repeatedly talked over me and raised her voice. There was absolutely no interest in understanding the concerns or making the situation right. I was also told that they "don't clean pools." If that's the case, then what exactly does a $450 pool opening include? Removing the cover, installing the railings, and leaving the customer with a swamp? If the pool was exceptionally green and required additional chemicals beyond what was included in the opening, then tell me. Call me. Explain the situation. Give me the option to approve the additional cost. Don't leave the pool looking terrible and then act like that's just how it is. I genuinely cannot imagine how this company gets repeat business. The condition they left my pool in was unacceptable, and their response afterward was even worse. One final note: they require payment before the work is performed. Looking back, that should have been a red flag. I paid in full before they ever touched the pool, and once the work was done, there seemed to be very little concern about whether I was satisfied with the result. The attached photos were taken approximately 24 hours after Heritage Pools completed the opening service. The pool had been circulating continuously during that time and the photos accurately reflect the condition in which the pool was left. If removing the cover, installing the railings, and leaving your pool looking like a swamp sounds like a $450 pool opening to you, then this is the company for you. If your expectation is that a professional pool company will properly open your pool, communicate with you, and stand behind their work, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Until we visited a home show, and we priced out pools - and just when we were about to "bite the bullet", a well known company in the North Shore, that ONLY does spas and spa pools, gave us a really good breakdown on how a spa pool would fit our needs/lifestyle at a fraction of the cost of a pool. We embarked on doing research. LOTS of research (we currently own a non heated pool, and the maintenance hasn't been a big deal, so we KNEW what we would get ourselves in to... but $150K pricetag?! um, uh...). Wound up at NES (and you've read my review/experience on that, and subsequently the manager boohooing thinking we were "indoctrinated" by them only to ditch them... nope, they were overpriced and only decided to make a deal when they realized they lost the sale... but I digress). SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Off we go to Ferrari, and got a really, really wonderful cost/benefit analysis on pools (did I mention they do pools?!) and our life style. Actually, they sell few spa's, because patios are #1 and pools #2. Mark and the ENTIRE crew are PHENOMENAL. Ordering, pricing, installation, post installation training and service. PHENOMENAL! The installer tea are a hilarious group of hard working and upbeat professionals. Made everything look so easy. Mike Hunter did the follow up and guided us through all the features. A couple of hours later, we were in getting hydrotherapied and celebrating life! We did our homework - extensive. They offer value, a VERY competitive price withouth any hassle and amazing service! This place will give you the same level of service whether you are buying a $20,000 pool, or a $2 part. Because of this, it can get busy at times and you have to wait to be serviced. But your patience is well rewarded, with honest, friendly service that you can count on year after year.

I called Sweetwater late in late March 2023 to arrange for repair and service on my pool. I booked an appointment to have my pool serviced on June 14, 2023. (You have to book early or lose the season! Thats why the way they screwed me was hard. It was too late to get anyone else). On April 4 they sent me the The Confirmation email for my service for June 14. I re-confirmed in May, and again in emails in June. MORE than 3+ confirmations! The day of the appointment I re-arranged work to be home for most of the day, and coverage for an hour I had to be out. Nothing. NO SHOW. NO RESCHEDULE. At 7:30 pm I heard from a SW tech who said he was running very late, it was raining, and he preferred to come back when it was not raining and SW would re schedule my appointment. I NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE AGAIN. When no one re scheduled I emailed the Account Manager Harry Carter that had booked my appointment and spoken to me in March about the work I needed. I emailed 2-3 more times and called AT LEAST 6+ times over the following month. NOT ONE CALL BACK. Then I was really stuck by July and UNABLE to find service for my pool, or make the weekly arrangements because everyone else was booked, which was why I started in March. I guess business must be great for them to treat customers so shabby. Put them on the 'DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME list' because they might not show up for you either and then its too late to get anyone else in.

Their prices are reasonable and are very honest when we need something done or if we can go a bit longer before having a repair done to the pool. We will use them for as long as we live here.

I tried two different pool companies in the recent past. They were great folks but just not…read morereliable. Finally I met Steve when I was pumping gas at Cumberland Farms. He sent out his guys the next days to repair a problem I had with the pool. It turned out I had a more extensive problem. They came back just a few days later, did a pressure test and isolated the leaks. That same day the owner Steve, his brother Gary, and worker Marco cut our concrete patio with a diamond saw, jack hammered the material and fixed the leak in short order. These guys are great! I'm very meticulous and super picky. They not only fixed my problems, but cleaned up and then poured new concrete to repair our decking. This is the only company I will use in the future.
