Ok, I HAVE, HAVE, HAVE to update, now that our baby is installed and running! One thing about Ferrari Pools, Patios and Spas - is that Pools and Spas is not their primary "thing" - their "thing" is the patios. But anything that goes into making a patio spectacular becomes their "thing". We weren't in the market for a "patio" - quite yet. What we were in the market for was a plunge pool. Until we visited a home show, and we priced out pools - and just when we were about to "bite the bullet", a well known company in the North Shore, that ONLY does spas and spa pools, gave us a really good breakdown on how a spa pool would fit our needs/lifestyle at a fraction of the cost of a pool. We embarked on doing research. LOTS of research (we currently own a non heated pool, and the maintenance hasn't been a big deal, so we KNEW what we would get ourselves in to... but $150K pricetag?! um, uh...). Wound up at NES (and you've read my review/experience on that, and subsequently the manager boohooing thinking we were "indoctrinated" by them only to ditch them... nope, they were overpriced and only decided to make a deal when they realized they lost the sale... but I digress). SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Off we go to Ferrari, and got a really, really wonderful cost/benefit analysis on pools (did I mention they do pools?!) and our life style. Actually, they sell few spa's, because patios are #1 and pools #2. Mark and the ENTIRE crew are PHENOMENAL. Ordering, pricing, installation, post installation training and service. PHENOMENAL! The installer tea are a hilarious group of hard working and upbeat professionals. Made everything look so easy. Mike Hunter did the follow up and guided us through all the features. A couple of hours later, we were in getting hydrotherapied and celebrating life! We did our homework - extensive. They offer value, a VERY competitive price withouth any hassle and amazing service! Ferrari pools installed our pool and when we noticed some of our tiles on the inside of our pool fell off and needed to be replaced, they never even returned multiple phone calls from us. They do not support their customers. DO NOT USE THEM!!! read more

Not surprisingly this is another negative review about their customer service and their service department. I guess I should've read these reviews prior to using them. But I also had a problem with tile losing the grout a year and a half ago. Although I sent them repeated emails and phone calls to have them come look at it. All I got was lies. This year the tiles fell off and again had been trying to get them to come out here for the last two months. They finally came out and want to charge me $50 a tile to fix it. The problem would never occurred if they came out originally and fix the grout. Now that they have fallen off, I have noticed that there was barely any fence that used to apply them. If you know anything about tiling, you know there should be at least 90% coverage on the back of the tile. There's barely 50% coverage. They now are choosing to ignore my emails. Mark and his crew took EXCEPTIONAL care of us from the moment we walked into the show room through the installation and beyond. Most recently we needed a small piece that goes in the filter lid and stopped in. Of course they hooked us up and a no charge. Just love these guys! Do not consider any other company than Ferrari. Prior to our purchase we shopped them all. Save yourself some time and search no further. read more

We used Ferrari for a pool and spa retile and resurface with Pebbletec. First, if you're trying to get work done right now (Spring 2020) just know they (and apparently every pool place) is VERY busy. It took a little bit to get started but once we did they did a fantastic job. Al and Lackey are both super knowledgeable. Diane was very pleasant and helpful but initially hard to get a hold of. I bought in-pool lounge chairs and a table from them. They sales person stayed after hours for us on the Friday of a holiday weekend. They were at my house the next morning. Unfortunately, the size was too big for my space. He came back and swapped it out that same day so we could use and enjoy them for the holiday weekend. read more

My husband and I recently had our 18+ year old pool and patio renovated. Ferrari Pools did an outstanding job! Al, Lackey, Diane and Keith were a pleasure to work with. Al & Lackey kept the project on schedule and Diane was always responsive to our questions. Lackey was great coordinating with the pebbling, managing the job on-site, communicating with us on what was going to happen next and when as well as coordinating with the company to deliver water when the time came. Al was great with on-site management as well and made certain our pool was up and running. Keith & his team did a beautiful job on our patio! Keith is such an expert when it comes to patio design, we could not be happier! A great team who takes a lot of pride in their work! Our pool/patio look absolutely beautiful! They deserve zero stars. RUN don't walk from Ferrari pools. They built our pool 5 years ago. Issues from construction through to service. They do not honor warranties as our tiles have popped off costing us thousands of dollars. All under warranty but refuse to answer repeated requests. The issues span from construction, service and up through management and the owner Jason. I do not know how this man sleeps at night knowing he continues to rip off his customers. Well i should have listened to the reviews. But i didn't. And choose to give Ferrari Pools, and Spas a Chance. What a horrible experience. Diane was awful her communication with a customer was full of misleading BS. Came in looking to purchase a outdoor spa for my back yard set up a time with Keith to come by and take a look and give me a all in soup to nuts cost. Never heard back. Reached out 1,2,3,4 times spoke with Diane " yeah ill send you pictures of the spa and get that all in cost for you" 3 Months later LOL nothing. Stay away from this place please. GO to NEW ENGLAND SPAS its just down the road. Save yourself the hassle. read more

We purchased a home with a pool put in by Ferrari pools. We were warned that these guys are more expensive than other pool maintenance companies, and initially I did use a different company for my bi-weekly maintenance. However, I now just deal with Ferrari pools. They're always there when you need them, have a great deal of expertise and the service is great. They are more expensive but do a great job. We bought house with an in ground pool built by Ferrari. The pool was over 20 years old and many tiles were falling off. We decided to give it a new, more modern look, and hired Ferrari to replace the tiles. The cost was about $5800 plus the cost of refilling the pool with water. The very next spring many of the tiles started falling off. We went in to Ferrari and explained the situation. We were told that someone would come out to see it. No one ever came, so we visited the store again and were told someone would come out to fix the tiles. Again, no one ever came. Many more calls resulted in the same lack of service. The next year, we started the process all over again with the exact same horrible service. This year, we went in to the store and talked to someone who was new. When we explained that we had been trying to get our tiles repaired for over two years, he seemed appalled and promised someone would be out next week to take care of it. Of course, no one came. Two months later, we came home from work and the tiles had been replaced. It wasn't what I'd call a great job - several tiles that were loose were not fixed, two tiles that had fallen off were not replaced, and much of the grout work was uneven compared to the original tiles. No one ever contacted us, they showed up unannounced one day. And of course, a month later the bill for $650 arrives in the mail. I called to inquire about the bill. I didn't get to talk to Diane, who is in charge of construction, but when I asked about warranty work on repairs, she explained that they only guaranteed the replacement work, not the repairs, and only if fixed within two years. I've now called the store 10 times trying to get an answer for the question - why am I being billed for repairs that should've taken place when the work was under warranty? Ten times, and tomorrow will be 11. All that's happened is I've received another bill in the mail stating my account is past due. This place is undeniably the epitome of horrible customer service. I just want them to write the charge off so I can have someone else come fix the tiles properly! Take my advice, find someone else. There are lots of pool companies out there and contractors who fix tiles. Don't use Ferrari! read more

I just got my pool opened today and all was well except how dirty they left it! I'm mean really you go through the whole effort of opening a pool and charge over 500.00 and you don't vacuum and skim the pool!! So I called and they said that that it was not included in the price! I mean really it took them all but 45 min to open the pool plus I took the pool cover off to avoid the 100.00 fee for this as well! I'm sorry but your pool service department is a rip off! Take in mind the boys who did the job where good but the service is just a rip off! I'm sorry but taking advantage of people is bad business practice. We have used Ferrari Pools for a couple years. They are very expensive, but they billed themselves as providing superior service. Ferrari built our pool so we felt inclined to use them for service. Their service was pretty expensive. They would miss days or come late requiring us to call them. We didn't mind as long as the pool was clean. We would call them anytime the pool was not cleaned to come out. Then one year they opened the pool and did the regular maintenance. We spent over 3 weeks with them dumping chemicals into the pool only to have our pool turn into a swamp. They came up with many plans to address the issue (i.e. new pool filter, more chemicals, etc.) at high costs (over $3K dollars) only to fail repeatedly. They would constantly blame the pool not being clean on leaves and dirt getting into the pool which was not true. We finally asked them not to come out and switched to another pool service. We eventually found the problem. It was a faulty timer switch. A $100 pool timer. Roll forward a couple years and our pool has some tile falling off. We have asked Ferrari to come out, give us an estimate, and repair the tile. After all, they built the pool. They have ignored us for 2 years in a row now. I am sure their lack of response is due to us switching to another pool service for our regular maintenance. Second chances to provide quality service don't come along often. Unfortunately Ferrari doesn't want to avail themselves of the opportunity. They don't even have the courtesy of returning our calls or emails. read more

I have to say I am completely surprised by the poor reviews. We had an area in our back yard off of our existing patio that was an awkward and somewhat unusable space because of its slope. Jason and Diane came in and designed the space to include a beautiful built in hot tub (surrounded by stone), a fire pit, an additional patio with stairs and lighting and we even had them install an outdoor tv. It was by far better than what we could have imagined and has transformed that space into an incredible entertainment area that flows perfectly from our existing patio. They have continued to be there for us long after the completion of the project 8 months ago and we are extremely confident the same attention to service and detail will continue for years to come. I would recommend them in a heartbeat and I am happy to post before and after photos. read more

Do not use Ferrari for pool service! They overcharge and they are in such a hurry they cut corners. Got charged over $600 for a pool opening- they took off without even noticing the skimmer wasn't pulling in water. I was left with a cesspool of chemicals. Called another company out and found the filter was caked and hadn't been cleaned in several seasons. When Ferrari was here they opened up and looked at the filter when we asked them to check the gaskets and they didn't even notice. Very disappointed! read more

We used Ferrari a few years ago to refresh an in ground pool, new pebble surface and replace old coping, $25,000. They were very responsive pre-sale including site visits from the owner to discuss the project. Installation went well but after one year the coping started to crack with rust showing in the cracks. We have called Diane for someone to come out and look and, as many have responded, no one would come out, despite many promises for "Leonardo" to come and inspect the coping. We have repeatedly called and and find it very difficult to get anyone to return our calls and when they do it is the same empty promises. This has been going on for a few years now and I feel it is important to let potential customers know about our experience. We continue to try to get a response from this company as the coping continues to rust and crumble but find it impossible. Please be aware that once the final check is written you will not likely hear anything back from this company. I will be certain to update this review if and when we get a resolution. read more

I echo every review that is posted about this company , they have to be the worse company that I have ever dealt with . My pool was opened 2 days ago which cost an arm and a leg and the pool is filthy , they say give it a couple of days and it " should be fine " well this is what they said last year and I had to have them come out after a week because we still couldn't swim in the pool and guess what ....,more money !!!! If you pay to have your pool open and ready for the summer then that's what you should get . This year not only do I have a pool that is not clean or ready to use but I have burnt grass from someone dropping chemicals on it . Do not use this company! We had a Ferrari gunite pool installed 30 years ago and it was a wonderful experience. It lasted beautifully. . When the gunite finally needed to be re-done we again called Ferrari Pool. But it must be under different ownership. They resurfaced the pool and installed new tiles in the fall of 2009. WHEN WE OPENED THE POOL THAT NEXT SUMMER, there was a white chalky substance covering many of the tiles. . Ferrari sent down a technician to check it out and he told us it was "natural" and it was "just phosphorous" and we should expect it every year. This explanation seemed odd because we had this pool for 30 years prior to this and never lost a single tile. We asked if a new substance was being used nowadays? No answer. The next summer, when we removed the cover and saw yet more leaching and several tiles fell off. We made numerous phone calls with no success. Becky and Amy in the Service Dept kept making excuses that this was normal. We tried calling the owner but he did not contact us. Last summer, when we lost more tiles, we finally had Jackson Pool Company from Lexington come over and we were told that the white leaching material it is NOT natural and it is NOT phosphorous ; it is the ADHESIVE that is leaching out onto the tiles. We were finally told the truth: the application of the tiles was a poorly -done job to begin with back in 2009. We were hoping that the poorly done job was only a few small sections of the pool and we could re-glue the tiles that were lost. BUT we just now opened our pool and not just a few sections of tiles are filmy white but there is a white film of adhesive that has leached ot over the entire perimeter of the pool. As soon as we attempt to clean them, they are falling off like dominoes. This tile job had cost us $3,000 back in 2009. We just put in yet another phone call and are waiting to see if they stand by their product or will again dismiss us-- putting the blame or responsibility on us or our "water quality." We have no problem when mistakes are made (this was obviously a poorly installed tile job) BUT a company NEEDS TO ADMIT THEIR MISTAKES AND MAKE IT RIGHT.
