I was not going to leave a review, but I feel it is necessary at this point. This is the second visit I've made to this location. The first time I walked in the young lady behind the counter with the colorful hair had a major attitude. Today, I stopped by this location again to give it another college try and when I walk in, I hear arguing between the three employees, the same girl is yelling that she's not leaving until seven and I my specific order that I wanted my sandwich, toasted, with no onions, and no pepper flakes. As they proceeded to go as I'm giving my order and while my order is being made.. shame on me for not thoroughly checking my order before I left the location until I got home to notice that my sandwich is full of everything that I did not ask for and it is not toasted and the meat is cold. Located on the corner of N. Marietta Parkway and Cherokee Streets in a little shopping center sits this location of Firehouse Subs. When I get the craving for a good sandwich, which I do often, Firehouse is usually near the top of the "where to" list! This particular location is like most others I have visited in regards to quality, service time, seating set up, etc...the only difference here was the actual service, which wasn't bad...but kind of non-existent. Ill elaborate more below. Parking - Its in a small shopping center, so parking, even on busy days is always available. Food - My two go-to's at Firehouse are the Steamer and the Turkey Bacon Ranch, which on my last visit I went with the latter and of course had no regrets! Another thing I enjoy about Firehouse is they carry Miss Vickie's chips, which are an absolute fav and perfect side for a good sub! Service - As mentioned above, it wasn't bad...just kind of non-existent. Upon arrival, there was just one other party in the place, already seated and eating, so I was the only one ordering. There were two folks behind the counter, neither acknowledged me when I arrived. Once I walked over to the register to order, one came over and asked what I wanted...and that was the extent of the service received. Normally I get a repeat of my order and a general pleasantry at some point in the transaction or a farewell when leaving, but not on this night. It isn't a big deal, but it was just a different experience than I am used to getting at other Firehouse locations. Overall, this Firehouse is a solid stop in spot at a fairly good location in the heart of Marietta not too far from the square or the hospital. Came in on a Sunday 6/12 at 7:15pm. They had a sign up that says cash only. They apologized but didn't give the option to order online which I insisted on asking because they simply looked as if they didn't want to make the sub in the first place. As I sat there and waited for for 10 minutes as they made the sub I watched 9 customers come in and leave because of their no cash sign. Never did they once offer the alternative to order online. I would feel terrible if I owned this franchise because they are losing so many customers. Someone came in and tried to pay with a 100.00 bill and they told them they don't take 100s.......You should have saw the look on their face. They would be better closing down they smearing their name through the dirt with as many customers as I saw get turned away. read more

Birthday freebie so why not give Firehouse subs a try. If you join their club, you get free medium sub for your birthday. I decided to get the Italian sub with everything listed on the sandwich minus onions. I added chopped dill pickle along with salt and pepper. We got there right before closing. And let me say that the employees were super nice and friendly. The restaurant was clean and smelled good. Did I mention the employees were super nice? Very nice. I would definitely come back to this location. The sub was very good. I think it was the ham that gave it a sweet taste. I loved all the flavors and fresh ingredients. The medium was the perfect size for me. I was full after eating it. No chips required. My only complaint would be that my sandwich was a little soggy on the bottom. Wow. What a great sandwich. So much meat that I could hardly get my mouth around it. I asked if any sandwiches came with sautéed onions, and they said yes, and I could get sautéed onion on ANY sandwich. The medium size sandwich is huge. Small would have been plenty for a normal adult. A small with one side (chili, potato soup, mac&cheese, salad) gets a special price (about $8) They have every soft drink you can think of (photo #3) and gluten free choices (photo #6) Every purchase helps buy equipment for first responders. For the most part , they are plastic-free (paper sandwich box, paper drink cups, paper to-go bags). Since I am trying to lose weight, I will come here only on my "binge" day, but what a wonderful reward for being good all week. read more

Management please read! All three of our subs were swimming in mayonnaise. I specifically told cashier I wanted very light Mayo in my tuna salad. There was so much mayonnaise, that the bun was all white and mayonnaise dripping off the sides. It was inedible. Also, no provolone cheese on it when it was supposed to have it. I threw most of it away. The same with the Philly Cheesesteak. Besides way too much mayo, the meat was rubbery. My daughter said the texture was like leather. She threw hers out also. The third sub, Virginia ham was apparently ok. We've visited other Firehouse Subs. The subs were fresh and prepared professionally. There were no other customers in this store, so there isn't any excuse for the way these were put together with no care. It was a waste of $30. There definitely is a quality control issue. This spot was perfect for satisfying our lunchtime craving. My wife ordered the hook and ladder and I went with the club on a sub. They both came out fairly quick and were delicious. You can't go wrong with either one, it just comes down to your preference. This place is so much better than your average sub shop. read more

This is a great Firehouse Subs! I enjoy their Turkey and Provolone sandwiches. The freestyle coke machine is awesome, and they have a wide variety of chips and sides. Our cashier is very friendly. My only complaint is that they need to train the woman who delivers the sandwiches on sauces. I asked for yellow mustard. She brought mayonnaise. I again asked for yellow mustard. She said oops and then brought brown mustard. Then I asked a different employee and they quickly gave my yellow mustard. In my opinion, it's not very hard but that's ok because she is probably new to the job. Other than that, though, this is a great Firehouse Subs and I highly recommend it. read more

Walked in at 8:59pm. One minute until close. Sunday night after a delayed flight from the Caribbean - where the sun wakes you up at 5am regardless of whether you went to sleep at 2am or 8pm (we did not). With a 4 hour drive to Nashville ahead of us and a past-midnight arrival to our hotel, we hungrily veered off I-75, desperately searching for fast food and a bright "open" sign. HELLO FIREHOUSE SUBS!! Evan greeted us when we walked in and immediately let us know the steamer was just turned off but if we were down with cold sandwiches, they could take care of us. So you mean to tell me I can get a sandwich AND wait less time for it? Yes. Give me this sandwich in its natural state all day, baby! Doug took our order. He was as cute as he was kind. Evan made our sandwiches with a pace that implied he could literally see the starvation in our eyes. We were paid and out by 9:05pm. I'm an Uber driver and I deliver food. I entered this Firehouse location because I had a pick up to do for a sandwich. When I walked in, all 3 employees stared at my angrily. They continued staring at me as though they were angry to see me. I had no idea that was going on and I did not want to know, but I told them anyway. I told them I had an Uber Eats delivery to pick up. The man behind the register stared at me so I showed him the delivery and the name of the person I was picking up for. He then turned to the other 2 employees who both shook their heads. I asked what was wrong and one of the employees shouted at me, "You're like the 6th person to come in here for that order and we never received it and we have no record of it!!" I said, "Ok, no problem, that happens sometimes. I'll cancel it. I don't mind." He then responded with, "And make sure no one else comes in here for that order!" I told him that all I could do was cancel it but I had no control over if the app gave it to someone else again. As I read walking out, he shouted, "You tell them to take it out of the system because I'm tired of people coming in here for it!" I didn't respond. I just left quickly, and honestly, as a female, I did not feel safe in there with 3 big guys. All 3 of them were staring at me and very intimidating. Wow the delivery driver was so rude. We are staying at LaQuinta Inn and be left the food at the front desk. He was rude to the person working the desk. I gave that a-hole a 20% prepaid tip and he refused to walk it 10 feet down the hall to our room. Wish I could give -5 rating. read more

Saw the commercials for FS, and thought it would be an awesome experience. WRONG! :( Firemen KNOW how to cook AND eat. Especially the ones in the N.Y. Metro area. I could not imagine any fireman from that area putting their seal of approval on these sandwiches. It was very clean, and the service was fast and friendly. Those are the only 2 positive things I can say about FS. Steamers galore. No wonder things get rubbery, and spongy. The sandwiches on the T.V. looked so good, but they just didn't cut the mustard for us. We shared the Corned Beef Brisket sub, and the Turkey Salsa Verde. The "sub" roll reminded me of the stuffing in the arm of a chair. Spongy, and nearly not in the category of "bread." The Salsa Verde sauce was so slimy, and the items inside kept sliding out of the sandwich. The Salsa Verde wasn't very good at all. I've had gr8 salsa verde at Mexican restaurants, so I know :) Corned beef with provolone? BLASPHEMY, I tell you. Corned beef should be on REAL rye bread, with plenty of mustard, oh, and piled high with Swiss cheese, not Provolone. If they put 1,000 Island dressing on it, it still wouldn't have been a true Reuben. We will stick to our all time favorite place for Hero sandwiches. Hoboken Cafe, on Whitlock Ave. about 1/2 west of the Marietta Square. REAL Hero bread. Everything made fresh daily, Boar's Head meats, incredibly good Italian items and prepared with lot's of love! :) They are only open until 4:00 p.m., so we go there on Saturdays. I come to this firehouse pretty frequently and I have never waited so long for a meal I placed online initially. There was only one guy in there who provided nice customer service as the others were either giggling with one another or another customer who was in the building .. if my order was suppose to be ready at 3:15 why did I not get my food until 3:40. But, having been here 4 times in the last 3 months and experiencing consistently good levels of service each time, I feel they've earned a review and a few minutes of my time. This location hasn't been open for very long. It used to be where Smothers was, I believe. My friend and I arrived about 11:30a.m. on a Friday. It was a good thing because it started getting crowded really quick. I ordered (at her suggestion) a steak sub with sauteed onions and cheese. Wow! It was delicious. You order and pay at the counter and then they bring it to you, very hot and fresh. I got the combo which comes with a med. (but huge) drink and chips of your choice (like Subway)...I ordered the regular combo which is plenty large. It's about the size of a footlong at Subway. The large combo is huge...My friend ordered the large combo so she could take half of it home for dinner that night. The prices are a bit more than a Subway but I think you get a lot more cheese and meat. I am definitelly going back. read more

I went here for lunch today and they were slammed. They were quick with taking orders and getting food out, but I feel like the quality suffered somewhat because of this. I usually LOVE these subs, but mine was just ok. I had the hook and ladder but it wasn't quite as warm and the bread wasn't as soft as it usually is compared to other locations I've visited in this chain. I don't think it was warmed long enough since they were in such a hurry to get everyone taken care of. The dining room was also packed and I didn't see anyone wiping down the tables after people got up. I had to wipe my table off with a dry napkin. I'm sure this place is better when they aren't so busy. I don't recommend going close to noon. read more

Very good food, always in the mood for hot subs. I got the New York sub and it was delicious. They have an awesome selection of hot sauces ranging from sweet to hottest of the hot. The sub tastes even better with the Scorpion hot sauce. Drink are the Coke freestyle which has something for everyone. read more

I ordered a Chef salad, paid for it, and then was informed as I was waiting at my table that they were out of Chef salad and to make another selection. No other menu selections were even close to the Chef salad so I ordered a bowl of chili which was not the best chili I have ever had. The chili was watery and lukewarm. I was quite disappointed to not have the salad option available. :-( This location was extremely loud and service was slow as well. Conversations were difficult to hear and the noise level was nerve wracking. Granted it is new to the area so they are garnering a lot of customers which contributes to the noise level, but I'd recommend one of the other sandwich shops in the area/on the Square over this Firehouse location. Firehouse Subs is a nice addition to the Marietta Square area. I recently went in the other day to cure my craving for a hot sandwich and some chips. The workers seemed pleasant, and the cashier who took my order was really nice. I ordered a Firehouse Hero, which is a sub with roast beef, turkey breast, ham, and melted Provolone cheese. All sandwiches are served with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, mustard, and pickle spear. I decided to make my meal a combo, which included a bag of chips and a medium drink. They had a wide variety of chips and the fountain drink machine had more variations of Coke products than I have ever seen in a fast food restaurant. The price point was great-- I spent about seven or eight bucks on the entire meal. My sandwich was delicious and tasted fresh, and I felt completely satisfied when I finished eating. I will definitely make an effort to eat at Firehouse Subs more often. read more
