I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had at this location. My sub was served with a completely broken top roll that was falling apart before I even touched it (see photo). Instead of asking for a new sandwich, I simply went back to the counter and asked if I could have another piece of bread so I could fix it myself. The employee refused. Her exact explanation was that she "only had 4 more rolls." She would not remake the sandwich, would not replace the bread, and would not even let me PAY for an extra piece of bread. When I showed her the sandwich and asked how I was supposed to eat it, she sarcastically told me to "put the bread back on the sub and eat it." The most unbelievable part was the refund. After refusing to replace a piece of bread or remake a clearly defective sandwich, I was offered a refund. When I went to the register, I was refunded exactly $1.00 on a $36.00 order and handed a receipt showing the refund amount. At that point it felt less like customer service and more like I was being mocked. The issue wasn't the damaged bread. Mistakes happen. The issue was the complete refusal to fix a very obvious problem, the dismissive attitude, the sarcastic response, and then the insulting $1 refund afterward. I've always thought Firehouse Subs was known for good customer service, but this experience was the exact opposite. What has happened there these last few months? We've been going to this location for years and never had problems but in these last 6 months there have been a multitude of issues ranging from meat only placed on half of a large sandwich to no bacon on a club. They would even mess it up again after going back in and asking to fix. And it's literally every time we go now. Went from perfect, to not being able to get what I ordered every single time. Drive through customer service was great! They confirmed our order and we're very pleasant to interact with. The smokehouse brisket meal came as requested. Tasty and fresh. The French Dip & Swiss was disappointing. It almost made you wonder why offer it, if it's made that poorly (see pictures). The HC fruit punch was watered down and the only redeemable item were the seasoned curly fries. The advertised picture wasn't what was received. Once you place an order they do it completely wrong. It isn't the people behind the counter who make the sandwiches wrong it's the person who is at register taking order putting wrong stuff. Employee behind counter make sandwiches off of what the paper print out says. If you're looking for a chain sandwich shop, this one is worth it. Not any better than the others, but I tend to enjoy the food and service any time. That fact that it supports firemen and stuff adds a little to atmosphere. I got the jerk Turkey, which is good, but it's just a jerk sauce on a Turkey sandwich. Not quite Jamaican. Great Go-To for lunch! Always enjoy coming here during lunch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always get it right! The restaurant is well sized but can get busy during lunch times. Best recommendation is to order ahead using their app and sign up for their reward program so that you can score cool deals. Food is always well made and warm when I get it. For sub shops these guys take it up a notch. Service has always been friendly and I gotta say that out of the limited options in Kyle, this is a safe bet for a good sub. I've eaten here many times and am a fan of the hot specialty subs. The first time I went here a co-worker recommended the Hook and Ladder. It was loaded with smoked turkey breast, Virginia Honey Ham, melted Monterrey Jack, and, came "fully involved". Those last two words are "key". What does it mean? Fully involved means it comes with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion and a side pickle spear. Other favorites of mine here are the club (turkey, ham, bacon [cheap shit, but tasty]), Italian (salami, pepperoni, ham, Italian dressing), and, the hero ( roast beef, turkey and ham). I get them all fully involved and they have cheese. These subs are pretty impressive as they actually give you a decent portion of meat and fresh veggies (sometimes a bit heavy on the lettuce), and, at roughly six bucks for a medium size you can't go wrong! I've been satisfied every time and the service is really friendly. Always a warm and pleasant greeting when you walk in. For a chain, yeah, I'm definitely a fan. So glad a co-worker hooked me up! So, I was headed home from work at lunch and called to see if I could pick up lunch for the family. My kids wanted Subway. That worked because I needed to stop by UPS to mail something. I walked into Subway and the line was 19 deep. I waited for about 5 minutes, but when I looked down and saw that a beetle was cutting me off in line.. and then I looked around and saw 5-6 dead bugs on the floor, I decided to try out the Firehouse Subs. I walked into Firehouse and it was incredibly clean... and not busy. I walked right to the counter. I told the lady at the register what happened to me and she said "I know, those are bad. Those beetles are everywhere.. we've had them here but make sure to get them right away." So I asked about lunch specials. They didn't have any, but she directed me to the Facebook page to check and let me know the Money Mailer had coupons as well, but they didn't have any on hand. That was above and beyond the call I thought... and I liked it. So I ordered my kiddos a large Ham sub with specific ingredients on it and they nailed it. For future reference, I could have ordered a medium as they each only at 1/4 of the sandwich... it was A LOT of sandwich... and the honey ham was a hit with the kiddos. I decided to try the Thai Chili on wheat. I ordered a medium and it was delicious. I could have eaten half and been satisfied. Extra bonus for the soda machine being one of those 50,000 combination ones. AND for having those cool plastic fireman's hats for the kiddos. We will definitively be back... and hopefully the kiddos will ask me for Firehouse next time instead of Subway. It cost a little bit more ($8 for a large, $6 for a medium) but the amount and quality of the food along with the cleanliness of the restaurant made it totally worthwhile. read more

I have always enjoyed this chain since I was 10. This is by far the worst one I've ever eaten at by far. They floor always seems dirty, the staff are never in uniform , and they have multiple sandwich's touching during process. I called in ordered and when I got there, they said five minutes I had washed them serve three people in front of me that I asked the same guy and he said oh it's on the other place. My apologies.. they proceeded to make me wait in line even though I told them multiple times that I had already paid online. Honestly I don't think they're bad people. I've never been to Firehouse Subs before, but when in need of a bite and faced with Taco Bell or Carl's Jr. I noticed this place nearby and thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did! The staff was efficient and friendly. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The sub was delicious!!! Bear in mind when reading the 2017 reviews that there's new owners there now, so think about giving them another chance. This is a more pricey sandwich than, say, Subway, but it's also more delicious. The staff there are super nice, my food has always been correct, and I don't have any complaints. I would venture to say it's okay for fast food. Acceptable. What I do have an issue with is that it's not fast food. The orders take a while to come out which is surprising for the assembly line concept. I guess when the guy making the food also runs the food to the table that takes away from the rhythm. Usually order their pastrami on white. The meat is always tender. Sometimes the sandwich is a bit sloppy, but I think that's the sign of a good sandwich :) Oh yeah, and an extra pickle spear. Love those! Having said that..... I did (on the advice of the manager) try the engineer sub once, as he assured me I would like it. I'm a fan of mushrooms, so I paid the extra 50 cents or a dollar (whatever it was), to get extra mushrooms on mine. Since you can't see them make it, you don't know what you have until you get it home, if ordering to go. When I got home, I didn't see any mushrooms sticking out. I opened the sandwich to find 6 mushroom slices on it. Really? That's extra mushrooms? I would expect at least 6 slices would come on it normally!
