I enjoyed a beautiful night with my family at the world famous Mission Inn Festival of Lights in Riverside Last night. All the walking made us very hungry. We came across a lively, full of excitement Fire Up Grill. As we walked by searching for a place to eat I heard music pumping, I could not stop dancing. It made Me stop and look. The outdoor dining caught my attention immediately. It was transformed with chic tables and chairs. The outdoor lighting filled the space along with warm pyramid flame heaters. The outdoor dining space created an inviting atmosphere. We had to eat here. Our server Alfredo was so attentive and friendly. The chips and salsa were perfect. Our basket of chip had pieces of yummy Chicaron (fried pig skin). Super tasty and satisfying. Alfredo recommended the Filete Relleno. It was a steamed seafood of goodness wrapped in a foil. Every bite had scallops, shrimp, fish, octopus, Veggies and this killer over the top sauce filled with natural juices released from the steamed seafood. I've never had anything like this before. My dish came with rice, beans, tortillas and I ordered a side of nopales. The presentation was divine. I finished every morsel. Everything was so delicious. Along side this fantastic meal, I had a refreshing cucumber Margarita. On point! My family ordered tacos de Birria, chicken, and burritos. Everyone was happy and satisfied. I enjoyed The vibrant night life of the festival Of Lights, and lively Music playing around me. This atmosphere made this dining experience a 5 star rating. I can't wait to go back. This gem has authentic Mexican recipes that remind me of my mom's homemade cooking. I was not disappointed. Loved it!!!! read more

My bf and I have been coming here since before the pandemic and it was always a good experience but today was the worst. We were told it would be a 45 min wait so we said that's alright. After an hour and 20 mins passed without a text we decided to check on our table and ask the tall black guy standing out front with a tablet. My bf asked him how much longer because it had been over an hour and guy had the nerve to get mad and say you have to have patience!!! Like obviously AH we wouldn't be here still if we didn't have patience. I'm furious that he even had the nerve to say that, we didn't even give attitude or anything just asked How much longer. They need to work on their customer service. Never coming back and I'm telling all my friends to not come either. So rude. read more

Excelente place......I went went on a Saturday about two weeks ago.....The place was clean the food was Delicious, drinks were great! the service was excellent! In addition to that there was a proposal in front of the place and I asked the manager if he would play the couple's favorite romantic song (to make the experience memorable) and he was nice enough to take away the music he was playing in Spanish to play this song that was requested....Not only once but like 5 times until the couple finally showed up lol....it made everyone happy so Thank you for that it was very sweet of him...So overall I had a great time at this place definitely recommended read more

Cuco and Jesús are the best bartenders. They had a great list of signature drinks and also any other drink you'd like. One side of the menu was for food and the other side for drinks. Came here after work, awesome atmosphere, order a Cadillac margarita was pretty good came with free chips, pork rinds, and salsa. Is pretty much the bar inside so outside seating is mostly what's available but during the cold weather they have heaters so it's not bad. I would totally recommend. read more

I was honestly scared to try this place out from reading some of the reviews but we got really amazing service from our server, Refugio on Saturday night Oct. 17. He was on top of things when it came attending to us. He would quickly get our drinks whenever we requested a refill. Overall amazing experience with him. I would of given it 5 stars if it wasn't for that rude girl who was checking people in. For no reason she gave my guy friend attitude. Came here about 3 weeks ago it was pretty busy because of the Festival of Lights and they had a soccer game playing. I ordered the shrimp tacos with cheese they were really good and they come with a side for $10 which I thought was a pretty good deal. I wanted to give our experience the benefit of the doubt in that sometimes people have off days but 2 times we've had the same server and we felt more like a bother to her than anything. I wanted to like this place, but just too many mistakes. We had to wait 35 min twice because the first time they gave our table away, they apologized and asked if we wanted to share a table with two other people. That's weird so we said no it's ok, we will wait for another table, so we waited 35 more minutes to only get my order wrong. My order was simple. I ordered the cheese enchiladas. The first time they came with chicken, I told our waitress and she sent my plate back to get it fixed. 20 min later my second plate came back and it was the same mistake, they added chicken to my enchiladas again!! I again notified our waitress and she again sent my plate back to get it fixed again. I guess third time is a charm because 20 minutes later again they finally got the order correct and I got cheese enchiladas. I waited there 40 minutes and sure they apologized, but they still made me pay for my plate after they got it incorrect twice. I am only giving this place one star because the drinks were good. read more

I visited on 6/22/23 with a group of co workers. (6 people). The food was good, drinks were creative with a kick & the service was horrible. There was only one server- Eric S. But we were patient and understanding. We weren't demanding or in a rush (we were done for the work day). But Eric was so rude. He got our orders wrong ( which was ok, people are humans, just bring me what we ordered, we weren't in a rush) he seemed bother to be corrected even though he acknowledged he was wrong, & he didn't want to divide/split the bill (which I knew you could because they use TOAST). When we asked to pay separately he said it wasn't possible. We asked why he didn't want to split the bill because we knew he can itemize with each card he said "he was the only server and it was going to take time & he didn't want to do it" we were appalled by his response. How much more time could it have taken him when the cards were really? & to top it off he sneakily added a 18% gratuity tip to our bills without saying anything after we brought up the split payment. I've work in the industry before & 18% gratuity was to be added with customer consent. ( I only found out afterwards because I sent the receipt to my phone by text) Now I'm not opposed to paying the tip when the actual service is provided, I even pay more! But for someone to be rude, conniving & feel ENTITLED to a tip is completely absurd. This guy is making Fire Up look like crooks. This is my first and last time coming here. read more
