This is my first time going , I went with my parents on a Sunday morning. Service was very welcoming we were seated right away. We ordered our food and drinks. After 10 minutes the waiter brought our drinks. Another 10 minutes they brought out two side orders of menudo. After an hour of waiting i can still see they didn't bring our good, I turn to see where my waiter was and she was hugging this guy and was attending them very well. She noticed I was looking at her and came over to check on us. My dad told her we still didn't receive our food and we wanted to cancel the meal. She said " wow "she was going to check on it and when she came back she said the ticket was thrown away . We still paid for what we received. But it was a shame to drive to riverside and not eat breakfast. I was very disappointed because nothing was offered to us as a complimentary gift. I wanted to call the manager but I didn't because that's the first and last time I go there to eat. I felt bad for my parents because they were very excited to support and show love to our community. So heads up if your food hasn't came in 25 minutes, just keep asking when is it coming out. read more

I went back to s/w manager asked for a refund and he told me he didn't have access to that... OMG TOTAL BULLS***!! Every restaurant has access to it they just don't wanna give you the money back cause it looks bad on them. He offered to replace the cold/ missing items and even that was garbage. I drove all the way from Anaheim cause I had heard good & bad things and we wanted to try for ourselves but man do I regret it. Such disappointment...didn't get the food we wanted, didn't eat the food, spent approx. $100 on crappy food and service and put miles on my car, lol. I came here on Sunday night with friends and it's as packed. They had good music playing so we went in. I ordered a michelada and the aguachiles. The Michelada wasn't good the mix was missing something, it tasted plain. The aguachiles had way too much onion there was hardly any shrimp, it was mostly onion. Food is so so, but watch out, they'll tack on 18% tip for a party of 2 without even telling you first. The menu states automatic 18% gratuity for parties of 6 or more, which is pretty standard at most places, but we were just a party of two and the waitress automatically added the 18% gratuity, and it wasn't obvious at all so I still tipped even more on top of that. Unless you know someone who works here or the manager don't expect to get seated right away. Especially on a Saturday. We showed up at 9 was told seating was closed but to come back an hour later to see if seating would open up again so we did and we got our name on the list. Waited another hour and a half. They also have a sign posted with a 90 min dining period and there were people who were there before 9 I'm sure and were still at the table at 11:30. As patient as we were it was frustrating that the homies were a priority then patrons who decided to wait over an hour to enjoy their drinks and food. I called out the manager on what he was doing. Even though he was denying it. He felt that he would grow and pair and refused service, which we probably weren't gonna get anyway. But props to Jesus who was even more courteous and professional than the manager. He was apologetic and tried to help us out. Oh but don't call out the manager cuz he'll do the bitchy thing and "refuse service" which we most likely wasn't going to get in the first place. My friend and I came at 9pm woman at the front told us she couldn't give us an exact wait time due to so many people. We walked around and got a drink somewhere else while we waited for an hour. Then we came back to check on how far we were on the list and they said as soon as we get an open table they will seat us. We saw multiple people that came after us get sat. We wasted our whole night here waiting and checking to see every 10min. After so long we went up to speak to the manager. His name was Jesus, we let him know how long we waited and the situation, all he told us was "I'm going by the list" not even sorry lol. I totally understand the circumstances but it would've been so much easier if they were honest each time we went up to check and told us an hour instead of reassuring us we will get a table. He also told us if we stick around he can seat us. After we waited two hours is was 11:20 already and they close at 12 which is also last call. I don't want to make it a race thing but my friend is black and she was the one going up and asking for the time for the table. Overcharged on drinks post agreement. Looks like theyve dont this before to other customers. I really liked this place before but we were overcharged on shots. I dislike posts like this but want to make sure people are careful. I signed at a certain amount and closed the tab. A few days after I check my bank account and see I was overcharged. I tried to call several times but they would not answer so I messaged them nicely on IG. They did respond but just to ask the waitress name and check number. I had no idea but described her and told them it was a party of 8 and the day/time we were there. I didn't get a single response after. I'm too damn nice but it sucks. I mean from 30 something to 116 may not be a big deal to some but I think it is not cool to do that to patrons. Especially after finding a scrubing sponge piece in my friend's food. Worst! I saw this place while doing my yearly visit to Festival of Lights. We live up the street and are always trying to find good Mexican good. We decided to go on Valentine's Day without the kids to check it out. I was highly impressed with the food and the service! I came here Saturday, October 10th and had the worst experience. I put my name down for 2 at 9:10pm and the host said you have 13 parties ahead of you so you'll have a while. So we leave for 30 minutes to get one drink and come back and the host says multiple times "the next table that opens up, will be yours to be sat because a lot of the people ahead of you aren't here". Then it had been 2 hours now and my friend and I were very fed up ,but still calm & respectful. We went up there together and asked for the manager who had been up there the 4th time l had gone up to check out spots. So we asked for the manager and the man named "Jesus" said "He was the manager". So l explained the situation and that we didn't understand how so many people who came in after us were sat before us . And at this point he didn't seem to care at all and said "well we're just going by the list", which was a complete lie. So at this point l feel 100% l was racially profiled because l am a African American women. The manager didn't sympathize at all & offer anything for the inconvenience so if l could l would give this place a 0!!! Waste of time and terrible management and host. Be advised, they play the music OBNOXIOUSLY loud!!! You HAVE to shout to the person sitting directly next to you or in front of you. For some tables, the speakers are at about two arms length away. Food, drinks, & prices are great! Customer service... can be 4/5 depending on who you get. They're respectful but on two different occasions I noticed the servers don't do well checking on their tables. My party and I usually have to go out of our way to get someone's attention. Also, there's only one bathroom.
