What a delightful experience!!!! We stopped in on NYE wanting to have dinner and a drink. We were not disappointed. We ordered a starter of Indian Street Corn. Very delicious with a warm mix of spices and some feta. Reasonable beer prices, even without happy hour. I ordered the Tandoori Rack of Lamb -- Excellent. BF ordered Tandoori Chicken Tikka -- tender and flavorful. An order of cheese naan came out with the main course. The mango chutney was delicious. We will be back here soon to check out the excellent happy hour specials and more of the menu. Our waitress was friendly and ready to offer advice and recommendations. Second time eating at Firangi. So far the food has been excellent, layers of flavors with just the right amount of heat. The atmosphere is a little odd, thumping bar music at 1:00 on a lazy Sunday afternoon, but the food makes up for this. The service is fabulous, warm and attentive. This was genuinely the best Indian food I've ever had. The tika masala was sooo good and I cannot understate YOU NEED TO EAT IT. The service was also great! The owner was super sweet guy and made sure we were having a good time the whole time. From the moment we walked in, the warm hospitality and inviting aromas set the tone for a memorable meal. We started with chutney sampler, wheat chips were crispy and thing is that serve all four tangy and sweet chutneys with chips, those chutneys hit all the right notes. The garlic naan was fresh, absolutely soft, and perfect for scooping up every last bit of chicken tikka masala. Servers don't bother you with too much "just checking in" but will also engage in conversation from small talk to substance. It's tv's find the sports game you're looking for. Pool queues are new. Pool Tables and balls are new. Beer list is great. I always have a great time. I haven't seen a person wait over 3 minutes to pick up a take out order. Incredibly great service- they were so kind and accommodating. The ambiance is really fun- it's crazy how large this place is. There's a whole cute area in the back. The food was great! Spicy, flavorful, even our picky toddler loved it. Their drinks are amazing! I would return even just for the cocktails and mocktails, one of which our waitress gave us on the house. The food is amazing. The flavors are so complex and addictive. The staff is so nice and accomodating. Just a personal preference, I would love to see some salads or fruit on the menu. The sauces are so rich that something light and fresh would really be welcome to cut through all the richness of the entrees. Awesome addition to our downtown! This place does not only fill the void of great Indian food in our area, but it does it in such a brilliant way. They have classic dishes like Chicken Tikka but also more interesting ones like Curry fries and Indian Latkes, we've eaten through probably half their menu and everything tastes amazing! Not to mention, their cocktails are incredible and come out in a timely manner. The customer service is very on point even during peak hours. The servers are super nice, take time to explain the menu and even give recommendations; very useful for people who might be new to Indian cuisine! There is a good variety of indoor seating between bar seating, booths, and tables, and also a small outdoor section in the back which is a bit cozy and tucked away if you are looking for a more quiet or intimate vibe. Overall, could not recommend this place enough and if you are looking for some good eats on Grand, come check it out! read more

Went to Firangi for the first time Sunday night with friends. We were all thrilled with the atmosphere, food and service. At first we walked into the noisy bar/restaurant and I thought, uh ohhhh, but they took us back into the full restaurant part that was charming and quiet. The starters were amazing, a curry crab dish was to die, the potato latkes and samosas were delish. We split 3 entrees after, the chicken tika masala, a vegetable korma and a shrimp tandoori. All were good, but the korma was outstanding, the garlic naan was also delicious. We tried the pistachio icecream for dessert, omg, too die!! We will definitely be back, give it a try, worth the drive forcsure! read more
