Was in town for a surgery and this was by hotel. Great quality and super tasty dishes. App:Lentil soup Meal: Lemon Salmon with spaghetti

Dessert ice cream bombe

Dined here while visiting for a medical visit for our son . The food is nothing like where we live . Homemade gnocchi was worthy of ordering another to take home if I could . Delicious large shrimp ordered as an add on and our son ordered himself a beautiful large personal pepperoni pizza . The service was excellent - we weren't rushed but definitely attended to. Felt a fondness like this was a very comforting place to be . The atmosphere had nice lighting & decor. It was busy with nice background music. Casual . Want to go back so bad for the experience of classic & simple chefs kiss Italian food so indulgent & delicious . Btw the desserts (sundaes and a chocolate bombe) were really gorgeous and delish too!

Classic American Italian restaurant, vintage vibes, and delicious, richly flavored food. Dimly lit and not too full past 8pm. Portions were large and filling. Very standard dishes you'd expect at this kind of restaurant.

It is a nice Italian restaurant on york avenue. Met some friends for dinner and each of us had a dinner entree and dessert. As a hungry vegetarian I had the eggplant parmigiana with vegetables and I was very pleased.

Came here on a Friday evening and it was not packed. really small and cozy place with great service. A guitarist was here playing some beautiful music which really made the ambience. Onto the food, I ordered the pappardelle pasta with a fresh pink meat sauce and it was delicious. The waitress topped it off with some Parmesan cheese and fresh cracked black pepper. The noodles taste so fresh, had a great consistency (not too soggy or too hard to chew), the meat sauce was divine. Not too wet and not too clumpy. Will definitely come back again to try their other dishes.

The ones we had been to in the past usually allows you to also pick different type of cooking style or seasoning but this place only cooks it their way. It's good for people who are indecisive but disappointing for people who want variety of flavor. They usually have a section of appetizers and drinks you can order on a separate menu as well. The staffs were very low energies when we visited on a weekend night. The overall ambiance and interaction made us feel a little uncomfortable. We ordered: - eggplant dip - fries - Greek salad (large) - cooked fish - calamari - octopus Honestly I was so disappointed with the food. It didn't taste as fresh and was overall too salty. The eggplant dip had a weird taste. Friend fries were not as crispy and unevenly distributed portions of salt. The calamari was nothing special. The fish was okay, and the octopus was so salty we actually sent back the dish. It was very difficult to enjoy it. The staff was so accommodating and actually took the dish off our bill. (Thank you!! - great customer service!). My favorite item was probably the Greek salad, but then again it's hard to mess up a salad. I would say this is my least favorite counter order style seafood restaurant in Astoria. My friend said great things about it prior to my visit and I really wish I would have liked it.

I didnt love the seasoning on the fry but after a squeeze of lemon I was much happier. I also noticed they use the same seasoning mix are most of their fish. Thats partially why I says the seafood shines because its all seasoned the same lol. The staff were very friendly. It all just went so smoothly.

The atmosphere is effortlessly comfortable -- the kind of place where you just know everything coming out of the kitchen will be fresh. And it was. We started with an assortment of traditional spreads: taramosalata, tzatziki, tyrokafteri, skordalia, and melitzanosalata, all served with warm, pillowy pita. Each one was vibrant and flavorful -- perfect for sharing (or not). Then came the feast: marinated and grilled squid, swordfish steak, red snapper, lamb chops, crispy potatoes, and more sides than we could reasonably justify ordering... but absolutely did anyway. Our waiter thoughtfully asked if we had any allergies. By the end of the meal -- slightly comatose, blissfully full, and having completely lost track of time -- we realized the only thing we might be allergic to is work. Bahari isn't just lunch -- it's an escape.

The whole vibe felt warm and made it a really nice family dinner. My grandma and mom both seemed happy and enjoyed everything, which honestly mattered most. We ordered two Greek salads (definitely could've gotten away with just one -- they're huge and very shareable). We also had the Mediterranean spreads: tzatziki, eggplant, and a spicy spread. Everything was solid and great for sharing. We also got grilled octopus as an appetizer -- super tender and really well done. For my main, I had the grilled deboned red snapper -- absolutely delicious. It came with a creamy lemon sauce on the side that you can pour over the fish, plus oregano fries and grilled vegetables. The veggies were amazing, especially the grilled onions that just melted in your mouth. We also ordered takeout: kefte kebab with fries, which was maybe smaller portion but it was good flavor. For dessert we had a baklava float (I think that was the name) with coffees to finish. Very happy with the whole meal overall. Drinks at the bar beforehand were also a highlight -- sangria and a gin, lavender, elderflower, cucumber cocktail that my grandma actually loved.

The lamb chops were flavorful. The medium here is on par with medium rare at most other places, and one of our pieces was borderline rare. At the end of the meal we were also offered complementary desert, which was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed our meal overall, but just know that it's a little on the pricey.
