Amazing delicious authentic Greek food! We went for the prix fixe lunch family style and it was so much food, they gave us extra dishes to try too! Everything was great, I really enjoyed the Greek spread - salmon dip , hummus, baked halloumi cheese , octopus, shrimp, mussels , branzino - so fantastic, it was an enjoyable birthday! Staff were very attentive and friendly!
Have been wanting to try this for a while. I would say it's a pretty nice vibe, kinda feels like Greece on a random Astoria street. Service was good, they let us take our time and finish our food. Onto the food, it was pretty good. We got one of the white fishes and it went well with the capers and olive oil. Calamari was pretty good, honestly felt pretty good eating it since it was deep fired in oil. Lamb chops were really good too. Overall, would definitely recommend especially on a nice summer/fall day.
6 of us made a reservation along with a baby, and they were able to provide a high chair. It's relatively small and all the tables were packed even on a Wed night. They started us off with complimentary pita (came hot!) And hummus. - Calamari app was my favorite thing here. We got it fried and it was executed perfectly with the meat still so tender and chewy. - Moussaka was surprisingly good too, the best version I've had so far. A good portion and a nice ratio of all the different ingredients - Lamb chops were good as well but I only had a few pieces (4 pieces in total) so I couldn't eat too much of it. - Grilled octopus was good too. It came presliced and I prefer it whole but it was well cooked and not rubbery - Branzino was standard and fine too. We got the bigger version. - The steamed Mussels and the Zucchini croquettes were not bad but wouldn't get again. Sides: giant beans (love these but I prefer Bahari's version), French fries (shoestring, solid version), and lemon potatoes (standard, might get something else next time)

Also recommend the cocktails - the Le Mon was perfect- a vodka lemonade with just the right amount of alcohol. They sat us outside in their heated area and it was a warm November night. I asked for the heater to be turned off as it was directly above my seat. They were very considerate. There was a loud evangelist man shouting on a microphone on the street and they asked if we wanted to move but we decided to stay since he moved shortly afterwards. The food is pricey but worth it! Super stuffed and each time I always take home food.
Smaller than I expected, but the shieftalia was better than I expected never having it before. Right amount of flavor and taste and easy to cut up. Bread was fine. Fries were fine too-but sharply cut. The tahini sauce was great! Ordered as take-out. Also, I did ask for utensils but none were provided.

Ate here today for lunch and dinner after work as a substitute paraprofessional at P.S. 234 Q. I had brought and ate the chicken souvlaki skewers with fries and baklava that it had tasted really good and delicious. The service there was also attentive, pleasant and friendly. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time.
Headed to Astoria for the afternoon, and of course, one has to get some Greek food while in the area. Booked Aliada after seeing some high reviews and after passing by it. The place is super pretty with a very homey Mediterranean vibe. The indoor seating isn't that big, but they also have a lovely outdoor seating area perfect for a summer day. They immediately served us up some free bread and yellow lentil(?) dip. This was good! Also just gotta love a free bread sitch. 1. Greek salad: I've had many Greek salads, but for some reason this hits different. The dolmas that came on top were outstanding- probably one of the best ones I've had. Exquisite juicy tomatoes. Yum. 2. Grilled octopus: damn. I don't know how they got it this tender. Great char on the outside and so soft on the inside. Not chewy at all. Damn this was good. 3. Chicken kebab: this was probably a bit of a letdown. The chicken was tough and overcooked. Expected much more since one knows how the Greeks can grill their meats well. The tzatziki sauce on the side was good though. 4. Roasted Greek veg: free side with the chicken. This was a generous portion for a side and really good. Chunks of aubergine, potatoes, etc. stewed in a tomato sauce. Overall, food was great (save for the chicken which was overcooked). Would definitely still come back to try their other stuff since they all looked good! Vibe was great. Honestly one of the better Greek restos in NY! And prices were reasonable
stopped by here on a Saturday around 2pm and was quickly able to get seated - they have indoor and some outdoor seating in a heated and covered patio. the service is very quick and the waiters were all nice. the restaurant is small and cute but has a great atmosphere! highly recommend the halloumi fries and the baked feta, they were an absolute hit at our table!
A great find in an area with lots of good Greek options. The ambiance is classy but unpretentious, the service is great without feeling hovered over, and the food was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and well plated. We started off with a Greek (horiatiki) salad and shared a halloumi dish to start (one of our favorite cheeses). Then we split the branzino and mixed grill which included pork and chicken souvlaki, lamb, shieftalia and of course more halloumi cheese. We finished off with baklava, which was also amazing. Highly recommend.

Exceptional Greek food and service! My girlfriend and I have been here 3 times and it's better and better each time. We love ordering the fish Meze and it's so much food. If you are looking for a spot that has that traditional Greek/Cyprian feel Aliada is your go to place. I really like sitting outside but inside will do just fine. Just make sure you call ahead and make a reservation! Gets packed on the weekend. read more

Delicious! Had reservations for 2 but still had to wait ~15 minutes. But overall the decor is cute, the service was great, (attentive, refilled our waters, replaced our plates), and the food was delicious. Ordered many items and I would probably skip the fried cheese because it was way too salty for our liking. Would recommend the tzatziki and the branzino as those were my faves. Love the complimentary hummus and pita. They also bring diff oils for diff dishes! read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and was not disappointed. It has a nice outdoor seating area and the inside is nice and cozy. The food was amazing, the octopus and grilled calamari were delicious. Lamb chops were cooked perfectly and the pork chop was amazing. George was excellent and gave great recommendations. read more
Rounded up to 5 stars Aliada is a very comfortable neighborhood restaurant. The menu offers a variety of appetizers and entrees. Everything that we ordered was flavorful and delicious. The portion size is generous and the staff is attentive. read more

We schlepped over to here during a snow squall, and while the food wasn't quite good enough to justify doing that again by choice, I'm not totally mad I did. The Shieftalia was succulent and tasty. And the 600g of roasted Branzino will satisfy even the most metrically challenged American in terms of tender fish and lemony flavor. Simple, unpretentious Greek/Cypriot fare without all the pricey bells and whistles one finds in Manhattan--THAT'S the reason to come to Astoria. Also that grilled pita and white bean dip is on point. read more
Went here for an anniversary and had the best time! Everything was amazing! We had the Chef's Mezze Experience and it was definitely worth it because of the great food and variety of Greek dishes! We went for dinner on a warmer night in March and sat in their covered outdoor area. The ambiance made us feel like we were having dinner on a warm greek summer. They had olive trees and white tables which made it feel nice and bright. It requires at least 2 people to participate and it was definitely more than enough food to make the both of us full! We started with a greek salad, 5 spreads and some beets and olives. The pita was soft and warm and our favorite dip was the whipped feta with red peppers, but this experience allowed m to try things like a salted and cured roe dip which I surprisingly enjoyed. We then had multiple dishes consisting of fries, grilled octopus, different sausages, and hen. The grilled octopus and hen was perfectly cooked and our favorites. The drinks are also really good and I appreciate their large variety of greek wines along with multiple organic choices. The service here is also really amazing. They are helpful through the menu if you are not familiar with all of the dishes. They realized we were celebrating something provided us shots of ouzo on the house. A really nice, unexpected surprise. Absolutely coming back to try their brunch on a sunny day! read more

Aliada is an authentic Greek restaurant in Astoria. They have a nice outdoor space. Here is some of the food we had. Grilled Calamari Chicken Kabob with Tzatziki sauce Shrimp Santorini Grilled Zucchini Sautéed Mushrooms They also bring out fresh homemade hummus and pitas and you can taste the chickpeas I usually have Fried Calamari instead of having it Grilled but I liked the flavor of the Calamari grilled a lot. read more

More like a 3.5 but rounding up because service was great! I had reservations for 6:30 but didn't get there till 7 so they had to sit us outdoors. It was so hot and we were getting bit by mosquitoes, but the hostess really did her best to accommodate us. She moved us indoors as soon as she could. Our waiter was also very attentive. The cocktails were delicious, I really enjoyed my strawberry fields! We started off with the watermelon salad which I thought was very interesting as I've never really had cheese on watermelon. It was fresh and I did enjoy it. The fried calamari was okay - I wish we had gotten the grilled as I saw the reviews after. The star of the night was definitely the baked halloumi cheese. Wow - Greek food and hospitality is top notch here! We dined outdoors with our beagle today and from the moment we arrived, we were treated with a smile and great service. The staff gave our dog a bowl of water immediately and asked what type of water we preferred. The server was prompt to stop by our table and the timing of the food (free starter - drinks - appetizer - main course) was perfect! One of the staff members saw we were a bit cramped on one side and moved the planter stand. The food here is incredible and I cannot believe we just found out about them. It really took us back to Greece, most especially the chargrilled octopus! There is not one complaint I have about this place and highly recommend stopping by. The outdoor space is equally beautiful especially on a nice, sunny day! Thank you, Aliada, for existing! My husband and I have a new favorite Greek restaurant and in a very competitive area, that's saying something. They do it RIGHT here. read more
Everything about this place was terrific, except for one thing which wasn't their fault. The wait staff was superb, always checking on us and never rushing us. Very personable also. We all loved our food which was presented well and had decent sized portions. The place itself was small and we sat in the additional, enclosed area, but it wasn't loud and there was more than enough room. The only bad part was the parking. Street parking and it took me fifteen anxiety filled minutes to find a spot. It took my friend twenty five minutes. So, I would suggest mass transit or arriving early to try and find a space. read more

Had the best dining experience here. Vibe was impeccable. Their Greek salad and all grilled seafood were phenomenal! Even baklava, the best taste I ever tried. Absolutely the best place to go for the most excellent Greek food in our neighborhood. Great friendly service and ambiance. You know you've picked the right Greek restaurant when you look around and realize everyone is speaking Greek! Aliada is the perfect spot for great Greek food and really good service. We went on a Sunday evening without reservation and thankfully didn't have to wait long, but given how popular they are a reservation is recommended. I got branzino which was fresh and perfectly cooked without being too oily. And they give you an option to choose between two sizes of fish, and 600g is perfect for one or even for sharing between two. I'm not the biggest fan of "market price" pricing, so it was a plus that Aliada's menu has everything specified. The vibe of the restaurant is lively and fun, great for large family gatherings as well as dates. read more
