Good food, good service, colorful, nice people, big portions, reasonably priced, family restaurant

My wife and I live out in Marietta, so there's not too much around for food. We'd passed by a couple times when they first opened and decided to wait for the initial open craziness to die down a bit. Today, we wanted diner breakfast food, so we figured we'd drive down and see how it was looking. Still packed. But not out the door anymore, and we were sat immediately. The staff was very friendly and the place looks really nice inside. We were sat at a very small table, without silverware. Chalked that up to new opening growing pains. Not a big deal. We looked through the menu, which is bigger than what is posted online. Nice menu with a lot to choose from, mostly breakfast but a good amount of lunch style options as well. Some really good sounding burgers and sandwiches. While sitting we realized how noisy it is inside, but they have a sign on the door saying they're working on it, so they're obviously aware of the problem. We placed our order and waited. A long time. Probably an hour. My wife and I are realists and expected a long wait, since they are still fairly new. Kitchens get backed up, especially new ones, and we understand that. We were checked on several times while we waited, by our server and other servers just checking if we needed refills or anything of the kind. We were told several times that our food was coming, including by one of the owners. Right before our food came out, after about an hour as I said, the owner, noticing how long we'd been there waiting, came over, apologized and said our food was on them. Classy, unnecessary move. As I said, my wife and I expected a longer wait, weren't complaining, and told her it was unnecessary. She insisted and thanked us for our patience and being polite about the wait. Our food finally came out and everything was delicious. My wife had chocolate chip pancakes, which were huge, and a couple sides. I had a breakfast garbage plate, which had a fried steak, scrambled eggs, hash browns and biscuit covered in homemade sausage gravy. On our way out, the owner apologized again and thanked us for coming in. We told her we'd be back. All in all, food is good, staff is friendly and ownership is classy and considerate. All factors that keep customers like us coming in. read more

This is a top-notch, family-friendly restaurant. Service is adequate even when it's real busy. I like their pancakes, and their Reubens and fries are great, too!! Prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and courteous. I certainly recommend the place!! The best time to go there is before it opens at 6 A.M., and after 2 P.M. if you want to avoid peak hours. Always super service with exceptionally great food. Reliably fast getting the order right and to your table with unbelievable speed. My plus is the full menu anytime they're open. Not being one for any traditional breakfast food, I head for burgers or fish dinners for breakfast. Today was that massive fish dinner, with steak fries at 6:30am. We've driven by this place about 4 times and every time the parking lot is full. So on a Thursday afternoon we decided to stop and see if it's really a restaurant or a used car lot. Glad we stopped! We were seated right away at one of the half dozen unoccupied tables. Service was fast and friendly. I had the Reuben and it was enormous. Hot and flavorful with a side of broccoli - also served hot. The larger half is coming home for dinner. Pat had a big grilled bacon cheeseburger with a side of real potato French fries. The burger was put on thick slices of a grilled cheese sandwich. He enjoyed it and took half home. We watched as some other diners got their orders. The salads were probably big enough to feed 4 with some leftover. They have a nice selection of food, but remember, it is a diner so expect diner food. And a lot of it! read more

So after coming across these guys many times while scavenging Google and yelp for places to make a point to eat at, we finally made it out to their establishment which is about 15-20 mins outside the city. First thing I noticed was the parking lot which appears large enough was bursting with cars, as was the overflow lot across the street. Lucky for us, We had placed a Togo order and when we went in to get it the place was full of life, the hum of conversation and clinking silverware you'd be able to hear from down the road. We were a bit late for out pickup but it turned out to be a good thing because our orde hadn't come up yet,10 mins later and we hadn't even made it out of the parking lot, and we were stuffing our faces while fending off our 3 chihuahuas (along for the ride) our hot fresh breakfast was too good to share with the mini beasts. And the portions were large, full of flavor and we'll worth going off the beaten path. I'm looking forward to trying many of the items on the menu. read more

I'd love to give Finally Ours a one-star review to deter others from coming, but no one would ever believe it. This diner is the culmination of the owners' lifetime of food service and I can't imagine anyone being disappointed by anything other than not being able to get a seat. From the moment we arrived a team of staffers took care of every need. Just look at the pictures of the food. You wouldn't believe me otherwise. If you can stay drunk until 6 a.m., this would be heaven for post-bar dining. Entrees cover the plate and the staff is happy to get you a second one for the overflow. The staff appears to truly enjoy their work and truly care about their customers. A kitchen worker came out to our table, horrified that he may have forgotten to send out a bowl of chili. (He didn't. We got it and it was good.) Check the hours and don't be deterred by the full parking lot. The staff was able to take on all comers during our visit. This is the kind of place that TV shows will visit, so check it out. read more

My husband and I went to Finally Ours for the first time today. We were blown away by the food and service. I got a turkey, mushroom, cheese, pepper & onion omelet with rye bread and hash brown's, and my husband got an omelet too. They were huge and full of flavor. Hash brown's were nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The staff came by every few minutes to refill our coffees and make sure we had everything we needed. The owner came over and said hello too, even though they were fairly busy. Very great vibe inside and we will definitely be returning ! read more

I have been here a couple of times for breakfast and I haven't been disappointed! The quantity of the dishes are huge and the tastes are flavorsome. From pancakes, to eggs Benedict, to a breakfast garbage plate! I had the garbage plate last visit which was an enormous concoction of eggs, hash browns, sausage biscuits gravy, and steak. We fell upon this place looking for breakfast after soccer at the Ultimate Goal in Marcellus. What an amazing experience. Food was incredible--my husband got the frittata and ordered a full because he was hungry and we were amazed at the size of it! So good. My daughter and I both got omelettes. Athens for her and feta mushrooms and spinach for me and they were just as good as leftovers. We shared a side of hash and it was amazing. Staff were attentive and friendly. Menu service are all great! Went today for lunch (we usually go for their awesome breakfast) and had a fantastic Reuben!

Cute little place. Very friendly, clean, and great service. We were seated immediately at the counter. The place was pretty busy as most tables were occupied. Waitress immediately served us and took our order. I got the western omelette with Nan's home fries. My boyfriend got the veggie omelette with a side of bacon and corn beef hash. Portions were great. Food was fresh and delicious. I thought it was a tad bit salty. But atmosphere, cleanliness and service was great. Definitely try the Nan's home fries. I feel bad as I should have posted this review after my first time here. This is an Excellent place that has an awesome waitstaff and the ladies and gentlemen are running around taking care of everyone. This place is busy all the time. We have only been for lunch so far as we don't live right in the area. Every time the food does not disappoint. The staff consists of family members who are sassy but in a good fun way. Family owned restaurant with the family feel. They know my father in law by name and even what days he comes in. This particular time I started with the homemade chicken noodle soup which was really tasty! Then we all had something different for lunch: started with dessert first. Chocolate cream pie and a lemon layer Cake with raspberries which was delicious!!! I had the cheesesteak and as the menu states it is BIG. Son had the breakfast garbage plate which he scarfed down quick even though the plate was heaping. Wife had the Chicken patty deluxe sandwich- it was big and way more than she could finish! Best diner in Greater Syracuse area. Extensive menu and food is phenomenal! Go there are once a month and have never had a bad meal. Totally recommend the breakfast poutine.
