The food portions are big so I couldn't finish all my food but if I had space in my stomach I would have licked the plate clean. The staff is friendly. However, the cauliflower itself was not cooked fully so not as soft as I wanted it to be. -SYRACUSE POUTINE: The appearance of the poutine was not the best. However, the gravy it came with was very flavorful and tasty. The potatoes themselves were not fried and were in wedge form but went well with the gravy. The small globs of melted cheese on top were a nice complement. -CAJUN SLIDERS: The slider compliments/sauce went well together but the sliders themselves had grill marks on it which gave a bitter bite to those parts of the slider. Additionally, the fried shrimp inside of the slider still had the tail on and so it was a bit of a surprise to bite into a full tail while eating a slider. All in all, a cute spot to see people but food had some hit or miss components.

Great Service! Their food presentation is absolutely phenomenal and the meals are superb. I love diner cooking, but I would rate them as number one in Central NY. Jenna is my favorite. She makes sure I have my yummy warm bread pudding topped with whipped cream. The Philly cheesesteak is out of this world. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. There is no other place in our area like this one. Great food prepared as you like it and fast efficient service. The owners are on hand, one is the excellent chef and the other serves your food (among other things). We have been there for breakfast, and lunch and have never been disappointed. Last evening we attended a dinner after calling hours for a dear friend. They opened their restaurant to accommodate the family and friends. If that is not old school enough for you, the rye toast was grilled, not toasted. Service was great, and the coffee cup never was empty. The parking lot in back is small, so if you have a large vehicle do yourself a favor and park across the street. We went on a Sunday morning. The place was full, but tables turned over quickly enough that we didn't wait. One nice touch, the bowls for creamers and jam were Syracuse China. You have to love a diner that is home town proud. And the breakfast is so good it is worth the few minutes drive off the highway.

I didn't dock points for the matcha though because a ton of places don't do this drink well. My sandwich was good enough but it overall lacked flavor. The eggs were under seasoned and I wish the waffle was crispy versus soggy. It also didn't have much bacon on it. The home fries were excellent though. Perfect color and seasoning, no notes. Everyone else in my party really enjoyed their meals and I'm sure we will be back. The menu is extensive and I'm sure there are some other things that I would enjoy so I'm looking forward to trying something else next time.
