    Bacon & Egg Sandwich

I stopped in at Fillmore Coffee whole in the area. I got an Americano and the B&E sandwich. The coffee was great and I really enjoyed the sandwich. It was a very filling breakfast. I went late morning and had no wait. The space was quite and had local art along the walls. I would return if I am ever in the area again.

    Coffee flight and breakfast burrito!

This place was awesome. The staff were super friendly. They have SO many choices for drinks. I'm always on the lookout for fun coffee flights, and they have so many options to build your own. The coffee and food was all delicious. I will definitely be back.

Great prices and great food all made from scratch. It was so good we went back the next day. Next time I'm trying the coffee flight!

I would describe the Fillmore as "fine" - really nothing was bad but nothing to write home about either. The coffee flight allows you to pick any 4 coffees from a pretty extensive list. The chai and the mocha were great. The latte and cap tasted exactly the same, so I wish I chose better there. They are very large (prob 6-8oz), so I would only recommend this if you plan on hanging around for a while. The açaí bowl was pretty basic but good. The fruit was fresh. Granola somewhat stale and not giving the crunch needed for this kind of dish. My husband liked the nitro cold brew. The ambiance was ok. Lots of available tables and a large dining shared table. The back corner where you pick up your food and drinks reeked of urine which was quite off- putting. Really hard to get that smell out of your nose and then want to eat/ drink. The staff was friendly and quick to prepare orders.

    Chicken Panini

The chicken Caesar wrap is the best I've had in my life! The flavors from the chicken and the salad in a perfectly pressed/toasted wrap were so amazing. We ended up going two mornings in a row and of course I ordered the same thing :) all sandwiches came with a side of chips which went well with the wrap. The iced lattes were amazing - the coffee is so fresh! Would definitely come back if I'm back in town!

side seating area and wall art

I visited this coffee shop recently and was pleasantly surprised! I had a really good iced mocha and it was about $6.50 for a 20 oz., which is solid considering how pricey some coffee shops in the area are. The atmosphere is also great. The shop itself is pretty big and the tables are decently spaced out. This was a great spot to get some work done! Also, the walls were decorated with art that I believe was for sale. I went at around 9:00 AM and it didn't get too busy. Looks like most people took their coffee to go. There's metered parking off to the side. It's a bummer that there's a two-hour limit because I definitely could've stayed here for much longer. Super positive experience and would definitely come back in the future!

This is my new favorite coffee shop. The vibes are perfect and a great place to study. My dirty chai was one of the best I have ever had in PHX. They have a private lot with about 10-15 spots. It says one hour parking only. I parked 1 block away free street parking so I didn't have to move the car. 10/10 recommend!

I was impressed by this place! Highly recommend! Came here because it was walking distance from our hotel and wanted to try the coffee and a breakfast item. I was intrigued by the chicken goat cheese and butternut squash burrito. I love that combo and they did it justice!! The chicken was so good and seasoned. Not bland! It took a minute to come out so it wasn't just warmed up, it was fresh. It was a good value too. i was surprised at the cost. You get A LOT of food for like $10. Very filling and tasty! I really wished I could have tried more coffee on their summer menu. They looked so good.

    Outside.

What's your favorite food and drink on the menu?

The breakfast burrito & Ethiopian French press coffee. Their desserts are awesome. It is an awesome place, the owner & staff are wonderful, get a card stamped

Where is there parking for the coffee shop?

There is a small structure next to it. If you do that, when you go in to purchase coffee, you can ask them for a parking tag to keep in your car as long as you're there. Otherwise street parking.

The theme is (as one might suspect) songbirds and the entire Cafe is decorated with small songbird items. As a detail oriented person, I was in heaven noticing all the cute decorations. I ordered the matcha latte and it did not disappoint. My friend ordered an iced americano. Both are classic items and they delivered well. There is plenty of seating inside and outside (weather permitting) and it seems like it would be a peaceful place to study or work. The baristas were sweet and patient and helpful with the menu.

Apparently the shop sources coffees and teas from local businesses. For example, coffees = Infusion Coffee Roasters in Tempe, loose leaf teas and chai = Maya Tea Company in Tucson, kombucha = Milly Moon Kombucha in Phoenix, and breakfast burritos = Lua Lua Catering. [Parking]: Mostly metered parking and I ended up parking few blocks away from the shop (plenty of metered parking spots near the intersection of E McKinley St & N 5th St). [Atmosphere]: Inside of this historic house, the wall features the work of local artists. The shop also has a cute outdoor patio area with tables. [Menu]: Apparently Matcha Latte is one of the more popular drinks here. The shop offers 12 black tea options, 9 green tea options, 8 herbal tea options, 4 white tea options, and 3 oolong tea options. *** Matcha Latte (16 oz, iced - $6.25): I was surprised that my drink was sugar free by default and I probably say yes when the staff had asked about adding sweetener. The drink was not as creamy as I thought and it was honestly a fairly mediocre drink. The drink also came with a paper straw. *** A great spot for a casual 1st date due to great vibe, but matcha latte just didn't hit the spot.

The first time I ordered it unsweetened was accidental, but trying it without sweetener or flavor was what made me realize that their matcha may be the best I've ever had. I've also had their Mas matcha latte and it is also absolutely delicious and simple and still allows me to taste the matcha through the vanilla and sweetness. I've been to other places that serve Kettl matcha, but none have tasted nearly as rich as Futuro's. The atmosphere itself is true to its name. It is futuristic, simple, and beautiful. It is full of unique art pieces of all types, and they sell their coffees and teas as well. I feel at peace inside and they always have vibey music playing at a perfect volume and incense lit. The service itself is one of a kind and makes me feel like I'm at a 5-star restaurant. They bring your items out on a beautiful tray and will always serve your drink with a cup of water on the side if you order it for here. They will even package your food up for you, which I would never expect from a coffee shop. It can be busy at times with a bit of a wait because the drinks are all made one at a time, but it's always worth the wait. The place isn't very big but has plenty of seating given the space. For working from home, they do have wifi but limited outlets. Their pastries served from a local bakery are also delicious.

I'm currently hooked on the Cafe de Olla, a gorgeous blend of sugar and spice that's topped with a star anise pod that enhances the aroma with every sip. But virtually every menu item -- honorable mention to the Cajeta -- is balanced and well crafted. The baristas are all very knowledgeable about their teas, as well. I've recently been SO hooked by their semi-new weekend pastry artist, Ghita, who crafts such unique desserts. Most recently, I tried their absolutely FIRE black sesame craquelin with a mildly sweet tahini cream. The rhubarb cream pastry was also gorgeous and creative. Futuro as a space is intentionally designed as well, with plenty of seating on both sides, boutique goods for sale, and great reads. It's the perfect place to read a book and chill on weekends. And the staff, even when busy, seem to always perfectly serve each order and efficiently clear out plates. Officially my favorite coffee shop 1000% now.

The ambiance, drinks, and service were all great! There is an entrance to Lola Coffee from Roosevelt and another from the back near parking spaces. There is a restroom near the back entrance, and the start to the line to place an order is right near the front entrance. I saw in one of the comfy chairs while I waited for my former student to arrive. At that point, we moved to a regular table and then went and ordered drinks. She ordered a coffee, and I ordered a lemonade. We both enjoyed our drinks which were ready very quickly. There were smaller and larger tables, and there were also countertops along with business cards and marketing items at the back of the room on a thin table. Lola Coffee began with humble beginnings going back to 1992 with a cart, then Lux Coffee, and eventually Lola Coffee downtown. Now, there is even a second Lola Coffee location in Arcadia near 40th Street and Indian School. Today, they serve coffee, pastries, and breakfast. The Downtown Phoenix location hours are weekdays from 6:30 AM to 7 PM and weekends from 7 AM to 7 PM. You can see their menu, history, photos, and more on their website (https://lolacoffeebarphx.com). While I had trouble choosing between a lemonade for a cold beverage or hot chocolate for a warm beverage, it's great they have so many options. Again, try them for drinks, breakfast, or pastries. Their staff is so helpful and the actual restaurant is quite welcoming to everyone.

From the moment we stepped in, the vibe was welcoming and laid-back, and the aroma alone had us excited before we even ordered. Every single drink we tried was a hit. I went with a vanilla latte that was perfectly balanced--smooth, lightly sweet, and incredibly comforting without being overpowering. My husband ordered a mocha, which had that rich chocolatey depth without tasting too heavy, and our daughter chose an iced vanilla latte that was refreshing, creamy, and just as flavorful as the hot drinks. They also use frozen coffee cubes instead of ice cubes so as they melt the coffee doesn't dilute It's not often that everyone in the group agrees, but we all kept saying this was some of the best coffee we've had in a long time. What really stood out was the quality of the beans--smooth, rich, and full-bodied without any bitterness. You can tell they take their coffee seriously. We enjoyed it so much that we couldn't leave without grabbing a bag of their espresso beans to take home, which says a lot. They also offer a great selection of both ground and whole bean coffees sourced from Kona, Hawaii, which adds a unique touch you don't find everywhere. Overall, this was more than just a quick stop--it ended up being a highlight of our day. Definitely a place we'll be coming back to (and recommending to others).
