It's tough not to compare this place to Soda Crazy About Italian Ice, which is just a short drive away. Fiiz has a similar concept - sodas mixed with cream, fruit purees, syrups, and ice cream. The combinations are seemingly endless. The dining room was closed so all of the business was being done through the drive through. You have to know what you want before you arrive as there was no menu visible when the staff took our order before we got to the window, which made things a bit challenging. We both got Dr. Pepper as our soda. "The Professor" had peach purée, mango purée, coconut, and cream. "Pineapple Upside Down Cake" had cherry and pineapple. The cream in The Professor added a little something different but the purée flavors were very subtle. The Pineapple Upside Down Cake tasted like Dr. Pepper with cherry. I think that adding the Italian ice to the drinks in lieu of regular ice at Soda Crazy led to drinks that were much more flavorful and delicious than the ones at Fiiz. At Fiiz, I felt like I could easily make the drinks at home, which made me second guess returning here. read more

I love Fizz, but this location in Layton is terrible. Absolutely terrible. This is my 4th time coming to his location and every time something is wrong or missing. The first 3 times I gave them a break but really? We ordered 2 nachos with extra cheese for both; and 1 with jalapeños; and 2 32oz drinks, the drinks were watered down and gross, when we got home the nachos were half of what we normally get and guess what? No cheese and no jalapeños, lol just chips? Really? the customer service sucked they were so rude you can tell they were overwhelmed and Erin want to be at work. so unsatisfied. Stopped by this evening about at 4:45 PM. Ordered three large drinks got home to give them to my three children and they were loaded with carbonation. One of them was a hot chocolate but it was pretty much 90% water. They were all disgusting we had to throw them away. Waste of my money and then I tried to call them to let them know that their drinks are loaded with carbonation so they can fix the problem but the phone number is disconnected in the email doesn't work. Every time I go to the Layton location, I tell myself it's the last but after today's visit, it really is the last! The drive thru is terrible and takes atleast 20+ minutes. I'm a big fan of Fiiz by default...my wife is a Fiiz addict. What kind of husband would I be if I didn't accompany her on her daily pilgrimage to Fiiz? I love that it's so close to us...only a couple of minutes away, and very easy access at the top of Hill Field Road. Because it's so close to Hill AFB, the inside is decorated with wings and parts of jets. Pretty cool! The drinks are tasty - lots of options, and you can swap out one flavor for another if you want to tweak things a little. They did away with their punch cards, but they have a new program that links your CC with your phone so you can still get credit for your addiction and get rewarded with a free drink when you hit the magic number. The employees are always cheerful and friendly...doesn't hurt that we're on a first name basis due to the aforementioned addiction. The drive thru can be slow sometimes if you get stuck behind a newb who can't decide what to pick, but such is life. We love that new Fiiz locations have popped up all over the place! My wife and I love coming here just for a fun spin on drinks, but I always have trouble figuring out what I want since there's no menu. The drive through menu is on the wall but in an awkward position, so I finally decided to take a picture of it. Anyway, the drinks are always good (can't really mess that up). The teenagers working are in the typical teenager mood, so don't expect excellent service. They also take quite a long time making the drinks. I love Fiiz in Kaysville and go regularly. At this location, I literally waited for 20+ minutes with only two cars ahead of me and couldn't turn around with the way it's set up. You can't see the menu or order until you get to the window. There was no apology or explanation for the ridiculous wait. The staff appeared very untrained. First off they tried to overcharge us by adding an extra item to our order. My son caught and the girl didn't apologize. When we got our order the two cookies my son ordered were thrown into a paper bowl, no sheath or anything. Not even a napkin. I had to ask for a straw for my drink. Terrible service. Very unprofessional. 3 drinks took a long time and the guy that took our order seemed to be unfamiliar with all of the drinks. The iron port was terrible. This location was absolutely HORRIBLE. The employees were incredibly UNPROFESSIONAL. The wait was over 40 minutes long with only 2 employees. There was a 10 minute wait for literally two cars...by no means the longest line I've ever seen there. Fiiz is a little piece of heaven!! I lived in Nevada for 19 years and the soda place we had there was my favorite! When I moved to Utah I was nervous not having my favorite soda place but it was quickly replaced by Fiiz. The prices are so much cheaper here and worth it! The drinks are perfect every time I come. My only complains are the customer service could be a little better and they never ask for my phone number. I had almost 20 stamps one time and had no idea because I didn't know I had a free one. Hill Field Road location in Layton. The worst. WORST. I should have learned my lesson by now. 18 minutes in the drive thru. Once you are in that lane, you are trapped with no way out. Then, my drink is made incorrectly forcing me to pull around and walk in. One very nice girl, (brand new, trying her best) working with a kid who couldn't care less. They always have their headphones in and just look at you like you're making them do five million things when you go inside or though the drive though. My wife an I decided to stop by to get a drink while we were out shopping. Needless to say we were not impressed with the customer service. We walked in and there were 3 people working behind the counter and not a single one of them welcomed us, told us they would they would help us in a few, or even acknowledged that we were there. I guess they were pretty busy with the 2 cars in the drive-thru and the handful of customers inside that already had their drinks. It seriously took both the girls to work the drive-thru while the guy was making drinks...this must be a tough job to take orders and to mix drinks. So after about 10 minutes the same guy mixing drinks came over and finally took our order. Surprisingly it only took him about a minute to make our drinks. The drinks were good but there's no way I'll be stopping at this place again or even recommending it to anyone. I can't even imaging what the service would be like during their busy hours. read more
