The Professor
Maisha R.

It's tough not to compare this place to Soda Crazy About Italian Ice, which is just a short drive away. Fiiz has a similar concept - sodas mixed with cream, fruit purees, syrups, and ice cream. The combinations are seemingly endless. The dining room was closed so all of the business was being done through the drive through. You have to know what you want before you arrive as there was no menu visible when the staff took our order before we got to the window, which made things a bit challenging. We both got Dr. Pepper as our soda. "The Professor" had peach purée, mango purée, coconut, and cream. "Pineapple Upside Down Cake" had cherry and pineapple. The cream in The Professor added a little something different but the purée flavors were very subtle. The Pineapple Upside Down Cake tasted like Dr. Pepper with cherry. I think that adding the Italian ice to the drinks in lieu of regular ice at Soda Crazy led to drinks that were much more flavorful and delicious than the ones at Fiiz. At Fiiz, I felt like I could easily make the drinks at home, which made me second guess returning here.

First time here and when I looked at my drink after I drove away I saw something through the lid that looked strange. Lemons with the stickers left on both rinds! Meaning they have not even been washed and they were floating in my drink. Gross. I will be going to Swig.

Chocolate Chip Cookie. Hard as a rock and tasted/looked like saw dust. Ew!

I love drinks from Fiiz but this location has terrible service and is so incredibly slow. Every time I go to the Layton location, I tell myself it's the last but after today's visit, it really is the last! The drive thru is terrible and takes atleast 20+ minutes. I ordered a snickerdoodle cookie today which was discussing. I actually drove back and asked to swap it out with a chocolate chip cookie which was even worse. The cookie had a terrible aftertaste and tasted like day-old saw dust! Stick with Twisted Sugar for your cookies!

Drive through menu.

My wife and I love coming here just for a fun spin on drinks, but I always have trouble figuring out what I want since there's no menu. The drive through menu is on the wall but in an awkward position, so I finally decided to take a picture of it. Anyway, the drinks are always good (can't really mess that up). The teenagers working are in the typical teenager mood, so don't expect excellent service. They also take quite a long time making the drinks. In all, this is a decent spot to get your sugary or soury drink fix.

I Fiiz. Every location is fun to visit. The employees are happy, and they appear to actually like their job! Way to go Fiiz!

I love Fiiz. Every location is so fun to visit. They are all clean, with an awesome retro-feel. The employees are happy, and they appear to actually like their job! Way to go Fiiz! You have made a super successful business, that will have my families business for a long time. Don't forget to ask for a punch card for your drink purchases. Every location will honor them. After 12 punches you earn a FREE cookie and FREE drink of your choice.

our wait time....

This location was absolutely HORRIBLE. The employees were incredibly UNPROFESSIONAL. The wait was over 40 minutes long with only 2 employees. There was 1 employee handling all of the orders while the other sat around and frosted cookies when they could have been helping the other employee with the line.Throughout this 40 minutes there have been over 5 different cars that have left. The wait is absolutely insane and our drinks weren't even made right. when we asked for our drinks to be made correctly they were very short. The fiiz in west kaysville is 100% better. I recommend going to that one...

This wicked-hot day was just made bearable by a stop at FiiZ!

Does this look like a $12 club sandwich to anyone??? Quality is definitely slipping. It's supposed…read moreto at least have meat on it. Last time, I ordered a crack chicken sandwich. Not only wasn't it crack chicken with that wonderful creamy sauce, it was Turkey - with no sauce on it. Not even mayo. And it was on plain bread. I showed it to the girl at the counter, who took it in the back to show someone and came back and said, " Yes, that's crack chicken." When I pointed out it was, in fact, TURKEY, she turned to help another customer and ignored me. So, not only is quality slipping, but so is the service. And apparently, there's a chef who doesn't know his own menu and can't tell chicken from turkey.

Food Quality: 4/5 Service: 5/5…read moreCleanliness: 5/5 Value: 4/5 We stopped in for breakfast at Kneaders. My husband ordered the sausage butter croissant and was surprised it didn't come with egg - just sausage, cheese and the croissant. I even double-checked the menu to be sure and they do have both - an option with egg and one without. He gave it a 3/5 and said it would've been much better with egg. I went with the egg and cheese on a butter croissant. It was definitely on the greasy side but that's to be expected with a croissant. We shared a sweet roll, which was pretty good but the real win for me was the free samples. They were handing out bites of their baked goods - pumpkin chocolate chip, a white chocolate cookie of some sort and a mystery muffin - and I snagged a few for us. Overall, pretty good for a quick breakfast!

On the first day of 2026, my wife and I decided to venture out and try something new…read more A random recommendation from YELP popped up on her phone. Keeping with a couple criteria, an untried venue, check! Food, (most importantly) check! and nearby, check! We decided to throw on some foot covers and head out the door. A quick jaunt and we'd arrived. Super easy to find even though it isn't street facing. Expecting it to be bustling with NYE recovery folks, we were surprised to find a quiet establishment that had two other patrons. Quickly I grabbed up a menu and we were immediately greeted with a friendly "Good Morning" from a very energetic and enjoyable young man. We sat and perused the menu. Talking over what we wanted vs what we should have. It took less time to make our decision for our order than most food stops in our past. I ordered the Mortician with Pepper Jack instead of the American Cheese it was paired with. Our order taker guy, (also the energetic greeter) inquired if I wanted to make it a double. I answered to the affirmative, (with a sheepish smile on my face). My wife conservatively ordered the Thursday Special, consisting of the Morty's Iconic Cheeseburger and fries. After paying and sitting down, our once greeter/order taker now waiter guy appeared with a large bottle of pour-it-yourself Fry Sauce and a handful of napkins. I looked over the sauce and quickly realized I hadn't ordered the Onion Rings that I wanted to try. I quickly mentioned to our greeter/order taker/waiter guy before he disappeared behind the kitchen doors that I needed the onion rings. With a smile and a thumbs up he said, I gotchu. I asked if there was a separate charge and stood up to pay. He quickly interrupted my advancement with an outstretched hand and a more pronounced, I Got You. This, of course was not my intention to get free stuffs but I was pleased just the same. My wife quickly grabbed some loose cash from her purse and added it to their tip jar. Thanks Babe! Once again you show me one of the many reasons for my affection toward you! We sat and did some chit-chat, continuing conversations from earlier that day. Sooner than expected, our food shows up, piled high and filling the plates with our side orders, (see photos). I literally had to take off the onion rings that were part of the sandwich makeup to even consider the possibility of moving the Mortician into my mouth, (TWSS! ...if you know, you know). Im finding this experience difficult to put into words. So, I'll sum it up. Delicious and juicy and fantastic! For once, outside of a homegrown burger, I'm able to enjoy the separate flavorings of Bacon, Beef, (which I think is marinated), the jalapeño and the pastrami as well as the aioli. After a quick drink to cleanse my palette, I grabbed up an Onion Ring. I paused to reflect on my existence and quietly muttered, this is really good! Crispy beyond any previous onion ring order from any of the, what could be hundreds of orders of rings during my 59 years, and delicious. I savored every bite, licked my fingers, and made happy "mmm mmm" sounds as I partook of this fine deliciousness. We finished everything! Talked about how this particular Morty's has now been labeled a family staple. Our experience is not just made up from the delicious food, friendly atmosphere, free onion rings, and did I mention the delicious food?, no. It's all of these as a whole, bigger experience, making it a unique and favorite beginning to a new year. Thanks to you, Morty's and our favorite greeter/order taker/waiter/I gotchu guy, we both are still smiling from our visit. Thank you for the excellent experience. We are looking forward to our next visit!
