The sandwiches are great but I had to leave a review for the poor service last night. We waited 45 minutes for TWO sandwiches. If there was a lot of demand, it would have been understandable but there was 1 customer ahead of us and I saw 2 online order pickups. The staff consisted of what appeared to be 6 teens (one new kid getting trained) and one "manager"? There seemed to be zero organization amongst them as they swapped out roles moving bread around, cleaning and (sounded like) a lot of horsing around in the back. This location is horrible. Went to order at the restaurant. There was no one else there. Waited 25 minutes for our 2 sandwiches as we watched them pump out like 10 to go orders completely neglecting to make our food. Finally get the food and they completely made my order wrong. She then remade it in less than 5 minutes. Why would I come to a sandwich shop and spend the amount of time waiting that it normally takes at a sit down restaurant?! Two years and 22+ visits have passed. It is time to update the review for my favorite Jersey Mike's location. The world's greatest sandwichista, Heather, has been gone for a while now. There was a notable decline in service and wait time after she left, but they have since found their groove and I'm happy to report that the Woods Cross location is a well-oiled sandwich machine. Pro tip for all Jersey Mike's visits: Order online or on the app. The wait times (especially around lunch) are always frustrating and order accuracy is decreased during busier times. By ordering online you can avoid the cumbersome assembly line situation and just pick up your sandwich upon arrival. It does take an average of 15 mins for an online order to be completed. However, it is always ready when I arrive and the accuracy of online ordering is about 95% which is a lot higher compared to trying to communicate my order in-person. I personally cannot stand onions on my sandwich and this location gets it right more often than not. Picking up online orders at this location used to be somewhat of a challenge. I found myself standing there trying to get someone to make eye contact or even acknowledge my existence just about every time. I'm excited to report that they have fixed the problem (likely due to the growing trend of food delivery services). Now they acknowledge me almost right away every time when I'm standing in the pick-up station. One thing to be aware of for all Jersey Mike's is to be prepared to pay a little more than other sandwich shops. Jersey Mike's uses the extra money earned to give back to the community which is always a cause I'm willing to get behind especially if it involves a delicious sandwich. You can expect to pay close to $15 for a regular sandwich (I highly recommend the #56 with no onions), chips and a drink after tax and a minimal tip for the hard working assemblers. I did notice during my recent visit that they changed the fountain soda machine. Sadly, the previous machine was one of my favorite parts of Jersey Mike's. They had various Stubborn soda flavors on tap before, but now it seems Pepsi has tightened the vice on flavors aside from the traditional Pepsi offerings. Now they only have a couple of non-Pepsi choices and they have done away with my favorite black cherry with tarragon. I dislike Pepsi more than onions if you can believe it. As a result, I have found myself forgoing the soda option altogether with recent my orders. If I could express my discontent to Jersey Mike's corporate, I would not hesitate to do so. With that said, I don't believe this location is deserving of a star deduction for something that is out of their control. The same could be said for the horrendous parking lot situation. It is deadly to say the least and whomever designed it can feel free to taste the business end of my size 11 loafer. To sum it all up, if you're passing through the Woods Cross area and you're in need of a sandwich, you should stop by Jersey Mike's where you can expect friendly service and a clean restaurant. read more
