We've been coming here for years. Seen this place change owners several times. Don't know whos the owner now but they need to get involved with their cooks and the way they prepare the food. this time the service was really bad and the food was horrible. They took forever to serve us and the food was cold. I ordered fish tacos and all I got was a little piece of fish and lots of cabbage. The other tacos were cold and the meat was overcooked, almost like if it was warmed in a microwave. I came last week for the fajitas and they were delicious. I guess this is a hit and missed situation. One thing for sure is that it will el a while for us to come back. I miss the previous owners and their cooks. read more

What can I say but that this place has fallen apart since my last visit. I came in and was surprised with the new menu. They have almost absolutely nothing that used to be there. Are used to enjoy their buffalo wings put then on rafting on the new. And the fact that the food was just bland and unimpressive did not help the fact that the weight service was ridiculously on comprehensive. I asked for a second dish of salsa as I was there with a friend and we each wanted our own bowl of salsa. To the fact that I never received it and I had to go to the salsa bar and use the small plastic containers frustrated. The fact that my friends Coke was refilled several times and my water glass only twice due to the fact that the waiter never asked if I needed and or wanted any more water was upsetting to me. Grabbed to-go dinner from here on the recommendation of a family member. He got the pescado a la plancha (his go-to order), and my spouse and I both got California burritos. The to-go order was packaged with 3 types of salsa, sour cream, limes, and chips. I really liked that those condiments/sides were packed in without us having to ask for them. The burritos are massive! The California burrito was fantastic (I added the green salsa and it was lovely). I will note that the "fries" in the burritos seemed like fairly large chunks of potato rather than skinnier french fries, but I am certainly not complaining. Tasty potatoes are tasty potatoes. Everything was delicious here, and we'll certainly be back. read more

I've been coming here since it opened. I know the staff very well. Recently the main chef is no longer working here (I'm not sure what happened). The quality of the food since then has dropped completely. The flavor is gone (in Mexico we say that anyone who cooks has Sazon which is Thier flavor that is specific to them) well the new chef just doesn't have it . From my last visit the sauces are flavorless & the batch of rice could break a tooth. It wasn't cooked completely. I am beyond sad that I can no longer return. I will not pay for low quality food. This is probably the biggest business mistake this franchise could have done. I hear the owner owns a location in Newport Beach & wonder if the quality is better over there. read more

Happy hour ends at 6 so if this place was in any way decent there would have been more patronage. Forget about the karaoke Fiesta Mex & work on your inventory control and customer service. Oh no... our favorite restaurant got new ownership and management. I can tell because there is an different look (which can be good) and all new staff (which definitely is bad). Everyone is running around like a chicken with the head cut off. No one seems to know what's up and everyone seems harassed and hurried. Hope they'll have whatever new system worked out soon. So this has become my wife and I's spot as of late for several reasons. The huge portions, for a cheap price, the awesome customer service and the cool ambiance. The carnitas are not fatty but rather lean and well cooked. The carne asada isnt dry and rough but rather juicy and tender, the chicken is well seasoned. These are my three big meats that i normally order at mexican spots and they got all three down pat. The ambiance is cool because you can go watch the game, or whatever is playing on tv. They will change the channel for you if no one is watching what they have on. The waiters and waiteres are really good about getting the order down right, and refilling your drinks. **** For all you SPICY FOOD LOVERS*** trust me when i say get the wet burrito and ask them to make it spicy red sauce. You will be thanking me later and will be hating your stomach at the same time. Seriously the best Spicy red sauce ever! It is one of the sauces that is so HOT and DELICIOUS at the same time you want to stop eating it because your mouth is being torched with an open flamed and your taste buds are asking for more more more. They put the burrito in an oven when you ask for it like this which makes the sauce a crispy crust with cheese but it is a MUST for SPICY food lovers. I have ordered tacos, burritos, sopes, tortas, huaraches, tostadas. I have not had a single problem here and don't expect to because every time we go it is the same quality of food, same quality of service regardless of whose there. read more

Been here twice and this is more of a gringo mexican grill IMHO. Good food, good service, good prices. You won't be disappointed, but, you won't be blown away either. Nothing spectacular...nothing sticks out as homemade or exceptional. The best thing I've eaten here so far is their guacamole. Order some chips and guac and you'll thank me. Otherwise fill your belly with some average Mexican food and enjoy. I'm kind of a Mexi food snob so if the food doesn't taste authentic I am quick to criticize. Don't get me wrong... the food is good. A solid 3 stars! Service is 4 or 5 stars and prices are 3 or 4 stars. So, I'm positive you'll like your experience. I didn't leave thinking "man I gotta come back here for XXXX". Anyway, if you're in the area give 'em a try. read more

I never would have found this little gem if Home Depot next door didn't mess up and give the truck I reserved away. So, this ended up being the silver lining. Beer is cheap. Dos Equis and Blue Moon on draft below 4 bucks. The shrimp bowl was delicious and the taco was, too. I especially loved the really crispy shell. I love little mom and pop diners, and this one won me over right away. The staff was super friendly. The interior is really cute with Spanish sayings on the walls, and lots of ads reminding you of their all day happy hour and great deals. Authentic, fresh, tasty and affordable. I was only in Stanton on an errand, gone sour...but truly this ended up being a nice lunch break. I think I will come back for taco Tuesday sometime. read more

Went here for the Friday tacos/beer night with a bunch of my friends. Went in and we were greeted immediately although everyone was busy. The ambiance has a very casual feel to it. Decor is typical of most Mexican restaurant. Everyone was talking and enjoying--definitely a good sign. For the food, we ordered all the tacos on the menu in each type of meats. It was excellent!!!!! About $1.25 for each taco. Cheap and delicious. We also some some other items .i.e. Tostada mixta. We enjoyed them all. Will definitely come back soon. read more

So I went here with the owner of the air bnb I was staying at. She said it was the best taco place she's ever been to. My pro's when we went it was a 1.25 taco deal for taco Tuesday that they don't advertise. But it was good for the price. Pros- quick service for ordering The flavor of the food was right for what I was paying for. They give you info about the food and what specials they had. The topping bar was stocked well with salsa, onion cilantro mix, and plenty of lime. Cons They could advertise the tacos and chips on menu more then asking and up charging read more

So this use to be my favorite Mexican restaurant to eat, not anymore, I'm sure do to the new owner/ managment here. Taco quality has lessened and plus we just ordered carna asda burrito with lettuce added and I get carna asda burrito with bean, rice, cheese and Asda and that's it. The girl who took my order, even repeated my order. So I feel like a little kid who doesnt like onions, cilantro and lettuce, but I do. Came here with my roommate to check it out... the person at the counter was obviously overwhelmed or new. She got our order wrong. First she wrapped it to go when we said we would be eating in. Next she served me fish ceviche instead shrimp and was pretty rude when I asked her to correct my order. Worst part about it.... some of the blandest shrimp ceviche I have ever had... blah.
