Ok, it's pricey but good. :) This place is a fusion of both Hawaiian food and Filipino food. Was greeted by the cashier. She was friendly. Ordered a loco moco and a breezy special with 3 meats. The choices I have picked out was chicken, longonisa, and Korean short ribs. Waited a good 15 mins to receive our food. We actually had a good view at the cook that was preparing our order. I hardly see my food being prepared, felt weird but intimate. They serve you a good amount. Not to much not too little, just right. The quality of food is superb. Great presentation! The food itself is delicious. I recommend this place to eat filipino food. There are alot of Asian eats in the surrounding food court. This has got to be a choice to try out. Ordered The Breezy duo with Honey Basil Ribeye, Grilled Garlic Lemon Prawns and garlic rice. The rice was heavy on the pepper and a mild taste of garlic. Still really good. Ribeye was dry and a bit rough. It had bits of gristle. Heavy soy sauce taste; it doesn't feel like honey and basil. Bit into a sugar crystal. The prawns are grilled with garlic butter and a lemon on the side. Cooked nicely. Also got the Smash burger. Its good but nothing spectacular. Don't really taste the house sauce. The side of fries are crispy and soft on the inside. Its a good price for burger and fries; $10. Decent experience, however, there's some room for improvement. Staff was super friendly and attentive. This is a new filo-hawaiian spot in Rodeo 39, located in the left corner by the bathroom. They have rice bowls with longanisa, ribeye, and even shrimp. But the one that caught my attention was the loco moco which comes with rice and egg. This was actually surprisingly good, and I highly recommend it for anyone trying this spot for the first time. They also have this ube french toast which I'll have to try next time. Hidden gem alert! I stumbled upon Lil' Breezy after driving by Beach Blvd and spotting Rodeo 39. A quick Yelp search told me it was a public market, so we decided to check it out -- and tucked away in the back corner was Lil' Breezy, a Filipino-Hawaiian fusion spot and it happened to be opening day! I hadn't been to their main restaurant, Breezy, but after this experience, I definitely will. I ordered their Jax Loco Moco, and let me just say -- I've been to Maui and Oahu and have tried many, many, many loco mocos across the islands... and this was hands-down the best I've ever had. The flavors, the texture, the balance of the gravy and the perfectly cooked egg -- everything was spot on. The gravy was definitely the MVP of the dish. So happy to have discovered this place. We went to Lil Brezzy on a Saturday night after we saw a favorable review in the paper. Ordering at the counter was straightforward with paper menus and a menu board. I had the barbeque chicken on banana leaves that came with "vegetables" and rice. I selected tallow fries instead of rice. The vegetables consisted of less than a quarter cup of cabbage and maybe a tablespoon of carrots with mushrooms. The chicken had a slight taste of barbeque and the vegetables had a little added flavor. This entree was disappointing and I wouldn't order it again. My guest had the Adobo Breakfast Burrito which was quite generous and was "very good" and they said they would order it again. No Diet Coke or ice tea or lemonade so I had bottled water and my guest had Dr Pepper. We were lucky to find a parking spot as the lot was very full; we were there early in the evening when it was not too crowded, otherwise it would have meant circaling around and parking farther away as is the usual routine read more

The food was very good. The service was more than amazing and what's not to like about the relaxed casual comfort of Rodeo 39. I had this white garlic wings, which were very good but certainly not in a caliber with the best that I've had, but again they were very well prepared, but they didn't seem to have as much soy or garlic as we normally meet my taste, but maybe that's just me. As far as the beef Hella fries I'm not really sure what the big deal is about the beef tallow fries. They were certainly fine but in my mind nothing super special but certainly fresh and well prepared. All the food was served hot and that was a plus. read more

This is my boyfriend and I's 2nd time coming to rodeo 39 just to eat at Lil Breezy. While we were ordering we were greeted by the owner, who was so welcoming and helpful when we were deciding what to get. We really enjoy their Breezy plates and have tried the Longanisa, Short Ribs, and Pork Adobo, but we always come back for the Longanisa. We also tried their Garlic Soy Wings this time around and really enjoyed their crispiness and flavor as well. I see all these amazing reviews and I wish I had the same experience as them but no such luck. Visited this place for the first time today and was so excited to try it especially since the pictures of the food looks so delicious. I ordered the Breezy Duo with pork adobo, longanisa, potato salad and garlic fried rice and couldn't wait to dig in. The potato salad was TASTELESS. It just tasted cold. No flavor. The adobo was anemic and needed more soy sauce. It was so watery the "soup" of the adobo went through the container and the paper bag. The longaniza was undercooked and the garlic rice just tasted like burnt rice and hardly any garlic flavor. I was so disgustingly disappointed and wanted to return the food but my husband just took me to another place to eat. What a waste of money . Maybe the cook was having a bad day ‍ read more

Came in here on a Sunday, and surprised that a lot of shops at Rodeo 39 have closed down. I got the Kainoa Smash Burger! It was absolutely incredible, it had caramelized onions, pickles, and cheddar. It came with a side of tallow fries, which if you don't know are french fries cooked in beef tallow! It was only $9.99 which is super cheap in this economy. Everything is made fresh to order. The workers put our food away in very nice tupperware and napkins and the appropriate utensils and condiments. My boyfriend got the Island Chicken Bowl and he really enjoyed his food and it came with a side salad that had an orange vinagrette which was incredibly tasty!!! read more

The food is insanely yummy and the service combined makes Lil' Breezy the best spot for brunch. I've been to the San Juan Capistrano Breezy location and was so excited to try out Lil' Breezy. The Jax Loco Moco and Longanisa Bowl are my two faves. My group and I tried the Tallow Fries for the first time today and we were blown away by the crunch and flavor packed in each bite. Ate dinner here again last night. Food was fantastic and has been consistently so each time we've eaten here. I ordered the Island Chicken bowl, but instead of rice, I asked for salad. They were able to accommodate my request. The bowl included pickled onions and a fried egg. My husband loves their Adobo Breakfast Burrito (I definitely need to try that next time). They finally brought it to rodeo 39 this awesome I got the jax loco moco while my wife got the ube French toast. Tastle exactly like the one in San Juan caspistrano. I highly recommend trying it . It's the right blend of saltiness and sourness. The beef also had a good texture. Garlic Rice - I'm glad they didn't mess up one of the cornerstones of Filipino breakfast. It could've been better, but the general quality of the food here was already low enough that it made this one of the better items. Pancit Guisado - Dry, filled with starch filled lobster balls, and could generally use some more stuff in it. I regret getting this and should've eaten more garlic rice Fried Shrimp - I'm glad it's easy to peel, but the shrimp itself is generally flavorless. Egg - I was scared that these mass produced eggs may not have had a runny yolk, but I'm glad to see enough liquid to praise it Tokwa't baboy - The bronze medalist of the meal. The fried tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The pork belly is on the drier end, but it's small enough that it's not hard to eat. Nilaga - Good. Probably my favorite bite. It's seasoned well, the beef is soft, and there's a good amount of vegetables. Champorado - Decent. Shame that I didn't see the milk when I was getting it. Maybe they ran out, maybe they were refilling it as I was getting. Buko Pandan - Very good. Is it store bought? Maybe. It doesn't matter, still good. Service: You pay first before you're assigned a table. There are a lot of staff who are there to keep the tables clean and to mix the food every now and then to prevent the tray from drying out. Ambiance: Bright, spacious, and inviting. A very good place to have Sunday breakfast / brunch.

Crispy Pata - was perfect! The meat and the skin were soft and crispy, and NOT salty. Highly recommended. Lumpiang Shanghai - very good too. There was a member of our party that is not Filipino and doesn't eat shrimp because she hates the fishy taste and was surprised that there is shrimp in the lumpia and love it anyway. It was crispy and was perfect with the sweet and sour sauce. Chop Suey - it's good but has too much sauce that it's soupy. They have decent breakfast and lunch selections. I went with the two item combo but we actually wanted three items, so I got a small size of the sinigang. Other than the combo options, they do not have any posted prices of aka carte items or the prices of the individual small, medium and large containers. I asked how much a small is and the guy said it depends on the item. They should just have a set price on the S,M,L containers. Anyway I got the two item combo with Lechon Kawali and the tofu & Pork ears along with the small sinigang. When I went to pay it was $29.70. I should have questioned it, but instead I asked for a receipt. That didn't do any good because all they gave me was the charge receipt and not itemized. Later when the line dwindled down I asked again how much the small sinigang was and why did my $15.49 combo become almost $30.00? She said the small sinigang was $10.79. If I knew how much they were charging me I could have just ordered two of the two item combos or a single item combo and for about the same price I paid, I would have gotten more. That's Filipino service for you. If they cared about their customers, the lady could have suggested to just order a combo instead of the individual entree and I would get more value for the similar price. If there's a next time, I know what to do. If they aren't going to advice customers of the price because they don't show it posted for us to see, then I'll ask them for the price of each item and see if they get annoyed with me. The other annoying thing that happened is she asked if we were eating it there or to go and I said we would eat it there so she gave us one plastic fork and one spoon. The annoying thing is you have to go back to the counter and the line was so long and the two people there were both serving the customers ordering food, so I hate to be rude but I had to cut them off and say you only gave me one set of silverware, I need another. Also the other reason we don't eat here too often is they are only open six days a week and only from 7:00am to 2:00 pm each day.

Although it was an apparent bait and switch, I still paid because I was craving the dish. The food was mediocre. The longanisa was very fatty with huge fat chunks. The tocino was not so bad if you like lots of gristle on the poor slices of meat. While I was eating my food, I saw the cashier argue with just about every customer when they were checking out about the higher prices not matching the televised menu. I saw the cashier put a customer's food back in the food trays to be served to another customer. Aside from the food being suitable for people who are used to eating poor cuts of meat, terrible customer service, higher prices than posted and disgusting food handling practices, there really is nothing positive about this restaurant. The 4+ stars is very misleading. I'm embarrassed that non Filipinos might think this is what Filipino consider good Filipino food.

Lots of Asian eats and a few varieties of La Street Tacos, Italian and Columbian eats. Very warm location. Family orientated. You can feel it when walking around inside. It was saucy and wasn't dry, the pad thai flavor was definitely on the tangy side, personally preference I prefer my pad thai to be a bit more sweet, but still overall a solid Pad thai 4/5.
