This review is based solely on takeout that I got my dad. Will update when I try for myself. Stopped by to pick up dinner for my dad. I ordered him the large chicken & beef plate. I placed the order online for pick up and food was ready in a timely matter. Upon entering, the girls working the front were nice and quick to acknowledge us. We were in and out of there fast since it was just a pick up. For the large plate it costed me about $17. The portions were huge! You can easily split into two meals, which was what my dad did. He said the food was good and he would get again. Next time I'll have to try myself and also the yamas fries caught my eye. While I was there, there was a ton of people coming in for take out as well. Worth a try! read more

Saw the raves and Instagram clips, and finally tried it out while in the area visiting the Yakult factory in Fountain Valley. Have to say it was appetizing. The place was packed at 11:30am and still full when we finished and walked out the door. It is a hole in the wall type, not modern and decorative. The dining inside is not spacious, but there is more tables at outside patio on the side. Our table wobbled. The portions are large but mainly due to heaping portion of rice and vegetables on plate but main item seems decently portioned. We had teriyaki chicken and teriyaki beef. Came here after weigh ins for The Fit Expo. I got the Yamas fries and a side of rice. The portion was huge and they give you a very generous amount of meat. The fries stay crispy for awhile and were so delicious. I've had my fair share of loaded fries with soggy fries, but definitely not at Yamas. The service was great too. Unfortunately, we ordered a beef bowl and a chicken plate but we got a spicy pork bowl and a plate with half chicken and half beef! On a positive note, we still enjoyed all the food! I just wish I had veggies for more balance. They're super generous with their portions, so you do feel like you're getting your moneys worth. I love that they give extra containers of teriyaki sauce and hot sauce too! Everything is flavored super well and I love the char on the chicken! It's so good! Service is relatively fast and they're friendly! The parking is very limited but not too bad. We went on a Saturday evening and there were a few tables inside. This place is a solid option if you're craving teriyaki :) I work in Westminster now and this place is being raved by police officers and government personnel so it must be that good. The place is an ordinary teriyaki joint and has a very clean ambiance. I assumed it's a mom and pops store based on the friendliness that they have. I got the large chicken w veggie plate- I loooooove that they give soooo much veggies! Half the plate is veggies. Everything tasted delicious. My little wanted eggrolls- they were decent... perfect for a kid but not for me. Their miso soup was surprisingly flavorful and large! Ended up taking a lot of food home. My only real complaint is the store smells like bathroom cleaner- which I suppose means they clean... but it's so strong I can barely smell my food... it would definitely improve the whole experience.
