Was shopping at a big store in that plaza and needed to have lunch, someone in our group spotted Tacos Mateo across the parking lot and we thought to stop by and give it a try. Our server was excellent, she gave us time to look over the menu and answered questions. Very tasty food, we ordered tacos, burritos, even a bowl of menudo, it was all good. Service staff kept our water refilled, and graciously let us enjoy an extended time at table eating and visiting with each other, with no pushing us to leave. The small spots are often the surprisingly best spots. Next time we are nearby, we'll be back. read more

My friends and I like to come here for Taco Tuesdays and it doesn't disappoint! Tacos are about $2 each and 4-5 are enough to fill you up. I like to get the asada and al pastor tacos, but my friends have gotten other items like the burritos, quesadillas, taquitos, horchata and everything has been good here. We like to get a side of rice and beans too. I also love their topping bar because it's clean and has good options like radish, cucumber, pickled jalapeños, extra onions & cilantro, and multiple different salsas (loveeee the green salsa). The workers are very patient even with big groups coming in on Tuesdays so I appreciate them! Highly recommend :) read more

The order came with plenty of fresh raddish and cucumber and sauces galore. The chips and rice are also worthy and prices are very reasonable. read more

The food is high quality and tastes delicious, would absolutely recommend for anyone to eat here!

A great find from a friend - we love a good Taco Tuesday deal! FOOD The meat quality is great here and tastes flavorful, but the servings seem on the smaller side. I've had their tacos and burritos so far. It's slightly smaller than what I'd expect, but the meat (especially the carne asada) tastes like high quality meat and is cooked perfectly (not burnt, tough, or overcooked!) Taco Tuesday Deal - $1.50 per taco Regular price- $2.59 per taco Meat choices- Asada, Pollo, Pastor, Chorizo, Carnitas, Cabeza SERVICE Great service, friendly staff. It can get busy, so sometimes the salsa bar isn't filled regularly. The restaurant is very clean and well-maintained too. AMBIANCE They just opened so the ambiance can be a little quiet/empty. Parking is spacious/easy, and there's enough dining space for large parties. Located in a not-so-busy strip mall that isn't very well-lit during the night. read more

Awesome surprise! We have found a local spot that we will definitely visit whenever we have a craving for Mexican. We shared a chicken quesadilla and carne asada street tacos. It was a fair size and the salsa bar was fun to make additions of radishes, onions and cilantro, etc. Sofia was our server and she couldn't have been nicer. She was very attentive to the entire place. Also, the restaurant had lots of tables for seating. It was very clean and it had soccer on the 3 large screen TVs read more

I don't like that they charge you a dollar to use your card. The food was just okay . read more

Came for Taco Tuesday - I think we were charged about $1.65 for a taco, and only the street tacos are on the Taco Tuesday deal (which was not advertised and we had to ask about). BUT - the tacos were really fresh and flavorful. They seemed pretty good at first, but somehow got more and more delicious as we ate through our tacos. My fav was the carne asada and carnitas. Guac is also VERY fresh and tastes homemade and natural. There is a lot of seating and everything was very clean when we visited. This is a great local option with a local business. read more

Not sure how it happened? This place was a pizza spot for years. They actually used to work with the school I work for.The owner was so awesome and did so much for the school and I'm so sad they lost the spot. But now let's get to it. Now it's a taco spot with some delicious food and nice staff. Check them out. read more

A bit weird they don't give you your garnish w your tacos and you have to get it at the salsa bar. If they don't tell you and you get your food to go you just get some meat only tacos. I'm not sure if it's the same if you order other stuff like a burrito because I only ordered tacos so be careful. Won't be returning read more

I love Machaca con huevos, so when I saw it as an option for a breakfast burrito I had to order it. And they did not disappoint. The sprinkling of green bell pepper added a nice touch. By the end of the burrito my hands were soaked in all the yumminess of the burrito. I could only eat half cause damn the burrito was large. Which is an added bonus for a second meal. Great value and good food. I'll be back. read more

Tried this place out and I was blown away by the cleanliness and care of the staff. I ordered the Fish Filet Tacos, Al Pastor and Asada Tacos and they were simply delicious. The fish was and meat were all cooked perfectly and I loved the customizable nature of the meat tacos. The experience overall was blissfully pleasant and so clean. One small detail that I would change is the channel that the TVs are on because having three TVs playing different things made things a little more hectic. The highlight of the evening was how nice the staff was and their incredible that goes above and beyond to make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. Definitely will become a regular and highly recommend checking out this place! Taco Tuesday has a great deal worth checking out! read more

Amazing hidden gem! I literally did a happy dance - OoooOh lawwd after my first bite. We got asada and pastor burritos. Got a bean and cheese burrito and it was awful. Almost no beans just unmelted cheese. At least 80% cheese. Never again.

Live across the street. So happy I have a great Mexican food place across the street. Had the chicken quesadilla the meat was very juicy and flavorful. Sophia is a really nice waitress. read more

This is an average taco place. I had the carne asada burrito and my husband had a carne asada quesadilla. The flavor was okay but nothing outstanding. The seating was adequate but not super comfortable for someone with back issues. The meat was very fatty and it made our dining experience less than satisfactory. I really like fountain drinks and all they had were canned or bottled drinks. The server was friendly and nice and I found no problem with her at all. I was just hoping for something better so close to home. I'm looking for that place I want to go to every time I want Mexican food but this just wasn't it. read more

Food is really good, I don't know why there were complaints about the beans, not out of a can, nice and creamy. My husband cannot stop a raving about the green sauce. He had the chiliquiles, asada and eggs. Good service, good portions = solid meal. read more

Nice addition to the neighborhood. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile since I live down the street. Everyone was super nice and the food was great. The only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the beans was a bit undercooked and the carne asada quesadilla had some bits of hard meat. Overall, I'll come back for taco Tuesday. read more

Chilaquiles were horrible. Red sauce was watery. Eggs were overdone. Chips were bland and not home cooked. Carne asada meat was hard.

This place is so delicious! The meat is great quality. The pastor was my favorite! But the asada is very good too! The quesadilla with the hand made tortillas was so bomb! The quesabirria is delicious too. Honestly everything was amazing and the service was incredible. Super sweet staff. Loved that we were able to watch the football game while we ate. Will definitely be back! read more

This spot just opened 3 weeks ago. I was going out of town and needed some burritos for the road. I remembered they opened so why not.. they had a great lunch deal for $8.99 burrito and a drink included. It was so filling and delicious. The lady at the counter was nice too! Oh and the have a small salsa bar too. The inside is hood for a group in case you have a large party. read more

First time coming here. Great customer service. The food was very good. My husband had the fish tacos along with a taco al pastor. They were crispy but not greasy. I had the asada burrito with was tasty. Definitely will be returning. read more

The restaurant is very clean and well maintained. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. I decided to order a breakfast burrito with extra ham and bacon. It was $20.91 as soon as I got home I was impressively disappointed at how little meat there was in the burrito. If that was considered to have "extra meat" then I'd hate to see what a normal serving is? I would've been better off going to Jim's across the street and get two of their breakfast burritos for roughly the same price. Or for that matter Los Alazanes across the street from Jim's? I have no intention of ever going back there or telling any of my friends about it. read more

I ordered a Carne Asada Sope. Price was right, portion was right, flavor was above my expectations. The meat is very tender the masa was fresh not stiff or oily it was great.great salsa bar and quick and friendly service. Definitely coming again. Can be a full service restaurant, but has a vibe like a quick bite restaurant. Menu is also very extensive I dare to say the taste is authentic home like taste. read more
