Carne Asada plate
Dane T.

It's too bad what happened to this place. The food is mediocre for an extremely high price. Paid about $20 for a carne asada plate with a conservative portion of meat, dry rice, beans and a mini salad with thousand + tortillas. Nothing really going on inside, removed the chips/salsa bar. Limited amount of drinks with no aguas frescas.

Their business claims "fresh tamales" made everyday. This has to be over 3 days old. Really disgusted I would avoid this place any day.

Their buisness claims "fresh tamales" made every day. This has to be at least 4 days old. Absolutely disgusting I would avoid this place 100%

Rude person. She needs an intense course of costumer service!

This is my first and my last time coming to get masa at this place. This woman here was extremely rude to EVERYONE there not only me. If she didn't want to come to work this morning then why did she even show up?? Stay home honey! Stay and sleep in or find another job.

A piece of the so called cheese tamale. Even the husk is dry.

I would give them a zero if I could. The girl taking orders looked like she was forced to be there, not friendly at all. I ordered tamales, 1 of each - pork, chicken, & cheese. Worst tamales I've had in my life. They're literally like 3" long for over $2.00, absolutely not worth it! I took only one bite of the cheese one and it was so dry I thought I was eating saw dust with a piece of rubber inside. The outside of the tamale looked like it was three days old and the cheese was so over cooked it looked like it was a piece of orange rubber. I tried the chicken thinking how can you go wrong with chicken, I was wrong. The pork had a bit more flavor but the masa was as dry as saw dust. Needless to say, I threw them away, waste of money and time

Pozole
Stacy M.

I had hope for this place. Even after reading the reviews I thought I'd give it antry since they ate so close to my home. I ordered 2 cheese and jalepeno tamales and a small pozole. The tamales, both of them are dusty dry. I may try a damp paper towel and microwave, but I am not hopeful. The pozole is tasteless. I feel robbed of $12...

Machaca egg without the rest of the plate, which includes, beans, rice, and salad.

Alberto's Mexican Food - Cypress, CA February 5, 2026…read more First visit This was my first time at Alberto's Mexican Food in Cypress, and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the beef taco and beef taquitos, and both hit the spot. The beef taco came loaded with lettuce and cheese, and the shell was perfectly cooked--not greasy, not soggy. The beef was nicely seasoned, and the hot sauce served on the side paired with it perfectly, adding just the right amount of kick. The beef taquitos were also very good--crispy, filled generously, topped with plenty of melted cheese, and finished with a guacamole sauce that was especially tasty. The rice and beans were average, nothing bad, just not standout--but everything else more than made up for it. All in all, a very solid experience, especially for a first visit. I'd definitely return and try more items on the menu.

This is our go to fast food Mexican that is reasonable and fast. We were at the Cypress Home Depot…read moreand we were craving breakfast burritos and the little food shack at HD sells their breakfast burritos for $15.99. I've never tried it so I don't know how good it is or if it's even worth it. Anyhow, Albertaco's is right at the corner. Bacon breakfast burritos for under $9.00 is the norm. It filled me up. They use French fries instead of potatoes cooked on the flat top or what we got at least were fries. I don't know if I can specify. It did the job and got my morning breakfast burrito cravings fixed. Usually we come here for late night. Their tacos, nachos and Rolled tacos are fire.

Omg, get the nachos! We came hungry and left satisfied…read more We got the carne asada nachos with guacamole and sour cream on the side. There's just so much food, enough for two. The beans and meat are literally buried under all that cheese. Delicious!

Came here on a whim as the wife has been talking about it. The place is small but mighty. It was…read moreVERY busy for 7:30pm on a Thursday. It's got a lot of seating for how small it is inside and outside. As well as three tv's to watch the sports games they have playing. They offer a decent amount of options, along with a soda fountain, and plenty of bottled beer to choose from. One negative for me is it is a Pepsi establishment. They do offer Coke and Diet Coke though in the beverage cooler. We ordered the asada burrito, along with the enchiladas plate, and a Cajun fish taco. We were so hungry I forgot to take pictures before we started eating. I can tell you this though. I was delicious. The service was very fast and friendly. The food came out quickly and piping hot. My favorite was the Cajun fish taco. Super fresh, and great flavor with a zip. Come here hungry, because the portions are good sizes. The burritos are huge and would probably feed two people no problem depending on how much you eat. The red sauce is way better than the green in my opinion. You can't go wrong with either one though. We are definitely going to go back to try the breakfast options, as well as on the days they have specials. Like the bean and cheese burritos for 5 bucks on Mondays! I definitely recommend this place if you're hungry for delicious food and friendly service.
