Chips and Salsa
Megan V.

While walking around Mt. Dora Fiesta Grande had an outside sign that advertised 2 for 1 margaritas, so we decided to stop in. Our group consisted of 4 people and we all sat at the bar and ordered the margaritas. The staff also gave us some a order of chips and salsa, and there were signs at the bar letting you know the first set of chips and salsa are free but if you want more you will be charged. Some of the margaritas were strawberry flavored, mango flavored, and frozen. The margaritas were just ok, they really lacked flavor. When we were getting our bill we noticed that it didn't reflect the 2 for 1 advertising that they had outside. Once we brought this to the bartenders attention he advised us that each drink we ordered was considered a double but no one advised us of that while ordering. We told the bartender that was misleading and he shrugged it off and walked away. Needless to say I will not be returning.

It was my first time visiting this location. And it did not disappoint. I had the chicken flautas and they were cooked perfectly crispy and flavorful. The food is very fresh here and comes out hot. The service is great and quick. We also loved the house Margarita - it is a big drink and you can also take it to go to enjoy while you walk around downtown Mount Dora. My boyfriend enjoyed his burrito! The salsa and chips were great to start while you wait for your food. It was very loud inside because the had a baby shower event going on , so it was difficult to enjoy a conversation at our tab

I wanted to wait until we had a few visits before reviewing. Tonight we came in for our 3rd Taco Tuesday in a row. I guess that is a good sign that we had 2 great visits! Unfortunately, tonight's visit was completely opposite of what we expected. Our first two visits were also on Taco Tuesday so we felt we knew what to expect...Busy, but no wait for seating, prompt service, well-timed food. This is an experienced restaurant and they seemed to have a well-oiled machine until tonight. We arrived shortly before 7pm and were seated outside right away. Our server (who may have been the manager?) came by a few minutes later and got our drink order. Returned with our drinks shortly after and took the order of the table next to us and then ours. We then started to wait....and wait...the table next to us whose order was taken at the same time received their food. We figured ok ours should be out soon after...we waited some more...our server from last Tuesday came by and offered us refills on our drinks...then our server came by and let us know our food would be out soon....after another 10 mins passed and no further sign of our server I went to the hostess to ask to speak to a manager. My partner and I ordered 3 street tacos, 1 crunchy taco and a tamale. Nothing complicated or unexpected on Taco Tuesday. But for some reason everyone on the patio received their food but us. After speaking with the hostess our server arrived back at our table to apologize but still no food. We were offered excuses that the kitchen was very busy (again, the table next to us who ordered at the same time and had made to order entrees {fajitas} as compared to a tamale that I know isn't being prepared as each order comes in...had received and FINISHED their meal as we were given excuses) which I would understand or at least be a bit more understanding if that was communicated to us at any point in our 45 minute wait. But it wasn't. And so we asked to pay for our sodas and leave. Our server/manager offered to get us our food, but at that point our appetite was gone due to the frustration. So that's the bad news. The good news is that based off our first 2 experiences we will at some point come back and give it another try. Everything we've eaten has been tasty and service has* been good too, so I have to believe this was a one off, but it was really a let down tonight. I left my phone at home tonight but there wasn't any food to take photos of...but I will share pics from our last meals.

Lo mejor del mundo! Wow! What a GREAT way to kick off this weekend, with a lunch visit to Fiesta Grande in Mount Dora. This attractive, welcoming, and CLEAN restaurant surely has a well-deserved reputation among the Lake County foodies who can't go a week without chips, salsa, or enchiladas. I was immediately greeted and seated and was quickly munching on delicious chips and maybe the best salsa I've had all year. Love the musica, btw! Definitely okay with how the rhythm was gonna get me (lol)! Maybe the star attraction of my visit was the new Lunch Menu - child, $9.99 and including a soft drink! What?!? We've all seen how prices are only going up when dining out - this is a crazy good deal. Look at the pic and see how much food you get for ten bucks. Even garbage fast food joints are charging more these days. This is quality comida and enough even for leftovers. Muchisimas gracias, Fiesta Grande! See you soon - mucho soon, as a matter of fact.

Came for drinks after the blueberry festival, tried their blueberry marg but added jalapeño. Also tried the house marg. Both amazing! Staff is friendly, they have indoor and outdoor seating. Has a low key vibe and intimate feel.

Always come for the Cancun Shrimp and it never disappoints. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

An OK Mexican restaurant in Mount Dora. The food was good. Service was adequate. In town for a few hours and this was a nice place for lunch.

Service was fast. Sat at the bar and was tended too the entire time. Food was delicious. I ordered the fajitas which were flavorful and a good portion(not to share). Chips and salsa was yummy. Margaritas were 10/10!! They 100% know how to make margs. Get it B1G1 at happy hour and choose from different flavors.

The atmosphere is themed, they have a space for live music, and I love the different seating options (bar, high tops, tables, and booths). As a tradition, we always order a handful of things to try at a new place. For appetizers, we ordered the Bangin' Shrimp and the Pulled Pork Tacos - these were IMMEDIATE 10/10s Genuinely still dreaming of both of these. For the entree, I ordered a Shroom n Swiss - it was cooked so well, but I was surprised that the mushroom was the size of the patty versus smaller ones. However, it is quite fun, when we got there on a Saturday night, they were having a Taylor Swift look alike performance. I absolutely loved it. It turned out it was happening every hour so we were able to watch her perform twice. They also had someone selling jewelry and an artist painting, overall it is such a fun vibe. If you want a standard table, you need to make a reservation, I made a reservation like 15 minutes before and they only had outdoor seating and high tops available. We chose a high top and it was fine. They do have a kids menu so my son was able to order a cheese pizza with a side of fries and the other one ordered a chicken quesadilla with a side of fruit. On the kids menu it says cheese quesadilla but he really wanted chicken, I was surprised the chicken was a bit spicy. He ate a couple bites and then asked for his own cheese pizza after seeing his brothers. All the plates are meant to be shared so they come out whenever they're ready. My older son's cheese pizza came out immediately and then my younger son's chicken quesadilla came out after all our food had been delivered. I think this is what made him want a cheese pizza because he didn't have his own meal for majority of the time we were eating. When we finally ordered his cheese pizza it then took a long time to come out. I'm guessing it's because it's woodfired and his pizza was behind a ton of other pizzas whereas with my older son we must've ordered at a good time. My absolute favorite dish was the marinated cucumbers. It was a light and delicious. It reminds me of what I find at a Japanese restaurant. I also got the butter chicken, it was OK. I didn't find the chicken super tender so I would skip it next time. We also got the maple glazed chicken wings. I found the breading to be overly salty. I ended up taking off all of the breading and my younger son ate a ton of the chicken. I would skip it next time. We got the steak skewers, which were pretty delicious. Again didn't love it so probably would get something else next time. My husband did not like his ribs so he definitely should skip that next time. So overall, the food was OK, but my kids absolutely destroyed their pizza and I love the atmosphere, which is why I'm giving this place four stars. I see that it has great potential. If parking is a problem, I recommend parking at icon park and walking because it's about five minutes away. Our server was super nice, she was a bit slow, but she also had a giant table next to us, which could've contributed to that. I would definitely come back. I enjoyed our experience here.

The service was good, and we were in and out. Granted, we sat at the bar and got one drink each before the dinner rush was in. The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the small portion sizes. The drinks were quite expensive for how little beverage was to be had in the little glasses. Ik restaurants like to say it's all the same, but definitely felt like they priced us out of buying another drink due to the small serving. Onto the drinks, I really enjoyed the Crush Crush. I'm a big cosmo girly and this was spectacular for being used to tasting the vodka in a martini drink. I was very happy with the flavor and enjoyment I got from it. My boyfriend got the margarita and he enjoyed it, but also was a bit disappointed with the portion. I still recommend this restaurant if you're wanting to have a swanky cocktail outing, but maybe have a few other places lined up and don't depend on spending your day/night here. The food looks great too. I will be bringing an office event here to try the food next.

It's both a beautiful and intimate setting, but also sophisticated and classy. Not for everyone, but I welcomed the adventurous mix of flavors. - The Spaniard A small charcuterie plate with a few cured meats, cheese, nuts, olives, jam, dried apricots, and hardened bread. This isn't the usual type of appetizer I enjoy, but I enjoyed trying all the different flavors. - Chuleton Bone-In Rib-Eye You get a choice of two sides with this, and we chose the brussels sprouts and olive oil-potato puree, which is basically rich and creamy mashed potatoes. The brussels sprouts were seasoned and roasted very well, and I loved how they were very crispy. The rib-eye comes with a tasty tomato-based oil and roasted bulb of garlic. The meat was very fatty, thick, and cooked to our perfect medium rare, closer to rare. - The Toledo Tapas Bar Dessert It's a mousse bar that has a sample of different flavors on top! The most discernable taste was the chocolate mousse, really - great for chocolate lovers, though I do wonder what the other option of Basque cheesecake may have tasted like. Our waiter was immensely helpful and awesome throughout the whole experience, and kindly boxed our leftovers. I would recommend Toledo if you're staying at Coronado Springs and would like a nice, relaxed date night.
