Had an extremely tall palm tree in our backyard that needed to be removed to make way for an ADU. Called Anna and she was very responsive. They are licensed and insured which was good. Got a good quote and set up the date. They came on time (even a little early!), and got down to work very quickly. Fidel was very impressive! He's obviously quite experienced and knows what he's doing. His helpers were also very efficient and things moved along smoothly. It was a huge pile afterwards but they cleaned up everything and left things better than when they came! Highly recommend and would use them again for any big tree removal or trimming. Thanks guys! read more

Never spoke with the guy about how many hours it would take. I did ask how many people was told 3. ASSUMING three people 8 Hours. I was good with Price 1350. They made 2 1/2 Hours. I paid them, but I never will again. read more

I could NOT be happier with Fidel's Tree Experts! I requested an estimate via Yelp on a Wednesday, they came out the next day to give me a quote and then completed the removal of two trees and the pruning of one on the following Tuesday. The employees were very friendly, hard-working and efficient. I should note that I got two other quotes and Fidel's was the cheapest. And what really made me smile was that two of my neighbors hired them on the spot! Go with Fidel's. You will not be disappointed! read more

They dropped ads off at my doorstep multiple times, which I saved. Now I need work done. I went to check their license # with the Contractor State Licensing Board and it should the number was affiliated with a Gen Bldg Contractor in SOLVANG, who has not been in business since 1985! So, if they get hurt on your property, prepared to be sued! Sad. read more

Hired them to grind out a tree stump. Fidel asked for a picture and gave a quote of $250, asked if I had any other quotes and I said they were around that. Said he would do it for $230 and could do it the same day. Ended up having to reschedule for the next morning. He came and ground down the stump. My neighbor came over(because I was at work and had asked him to) and reminded him that there was going to be concrete going in and asked if he did it deep enough. He said yes. Over the weekend I started digging out the roots and uncovered the rest of the stump. He had ground it down to the same level as the sidewalk. No where near deep enough. Contacted Fidel again and he said he would come the next day, again had to reschedule. Told me he would be there at 7am AND he said "his boss" told him to charge me another $100. I didn't have much choice since the concrete guys needed it done before they could continue. He ended up showing up at 9am instead. From the reviews and the contact on the page I was under the assumption that Fidel was the owner. read more

Absolutely EXCELLENT work trimming out front & backyard trees! Trimmed our front tree that was hanging onto our roof, as well as thinned out both front trees to keep them healthy, looking great, & helping them grow. Trimmed our backyard trees to give us back a significant portion of our backyard, as well as keeping them healthy, looking great, & growing correctly. Extremely responsive: asked for a quote on Sunday morning, came over to inspect, suggested also doing our front yard trees that also really needed it, came out on Tuesday morning, & finished all the work within a couple of hours. Extremely reasonable price too! Extremely professional, knowledgeable, & friendly crew! Very Happy! We HIGHLY recommend their work!!! read more

I'm not even sure this company deserves a 1 star review. I provided pictures and requested a quote for a complete job. Initially it was the best quote for the work and was excited a company would do the work at the lowest estimate... Well you get what you pay for is the old saying right?.... Right. Because the estimate was lower than the other companies I reconfirmed the price they gave was for the exact work I asked for' a trim on 3 palms and 2 small tree pulls. They reverified the estimate was correct. Come the day of the services they told me they would be at my home around 1pm. They arrived at 2:15pm. No updates on why they were late... When they arrived, they told me the estimate I was given was wrong and that they wanted to take lunch... As they arrived to a new job??? I'm a fair person. When you run a business and you are running late it seems logical and decent or good practice to inform clients you may be running late. I understand this can be a dangerous job and my initial concern was that someone got injured on the job and why they weren't able to provide a timely notice why they're late. Nope... They just do what they want. No replies to my text for updates when they arrive... Because I have no plans of my own and my whole day is built around them because that's what they expect right? So now I have to cancel my appointments because they couldn't keep theirs. Please understand that if you choose these people to work with, you're on their time. Considering there are numerous other tree service providers that do the same job, I am now willing to pay for service that goes the extra mile, sticks to their price quotes, arrives on time, informs their clients if they'll be late, and takes lunch between jobs, not when they arrive to a new one. It's not complicated people. Make the best choice for you. read more

I reached out to Fidel's Tree Experts because we needed some tall trees trimmed. I spoke to Alan, who scheduled us for the appointment. He kept in touch with us throughout the process. Fidel, Felipe, and the other worker were also very kind and accommodating. They did a great job on the trees, as well as the cleanup. The price we agreed upon was also very reasonable. If you are in need of tree trimming or landscaping services, Fidel's Tree Experts is the place to go. read more

I was texting back and forth with Ana, and she provided one of the lowest estimates out there. I asked for their license number to make sure they are licensed, bonded, and insured and when I looked up that license number, it did not exist with the Contractors State License Board which lead me to believe this business is not licensed. I then texted her back and sure enough I was ghosted so that is a definite RED FLAG!!! Hire at your own risk and hopefully no one gets injured and goes after your homeowner's insurance and file a claim. If they provide me with an actual valid license number, I will update this review. read more

In my front and back yard, Fidel's crew just planted (3) 24" box trees, trimmed my very tall pine and palm trees, transplanted rose and lavender bushes, and removed dying agaves and huge bougainvillea bushes. I reached out Friday, got a quote from them Saturday, and the job was done by Thursday, over the two days it wasn't raining this week. Felipe was SUPER polite the whole time. His and the arborist's recommendations during the quote were why I picked them. When they couldn't transplant an oak tree, he thoroughly explained why. Each time I added to the project he took it in stride. If I need to plant more trees, I'll definitely return to them! read more

We have a large and unwieldy tree that was long overdue for pruning and shaping. After having several companies come to look and give us a bid, Fidel's was by far the best option. They took the time to talk about the tree and provided some very good suggestions. They showed up and took care of everything quickly and professionally. Philipé (sp?) was great from start to finish. The quote was equal to or much better than the other bids, and I felt much more comfortable with them. read more

Fidel was great! I reach out to them on Yelp. They came the same day and gave me quote! I have to add I called serval other people and his prices was way lower than anyone else I asked. So late last night I was looking for someone to remove these trees and branches at my father in law house while my hubby was going to be there today. Reached out to several companies and what do you know Fidel's contacted me first. I explained what I needed and wanted them removed today. He said he would be there between 8am-9am, we would agree on a price and he would remove them right after. We are so thankful he was able to EXCEED expectations... he was reasonable and great to work with. If you need service please use them as they are amazing!! read more

Very good competitive pricing. They did the job efficiently and always asked me great clarifications questions before proceeding with XYZ work. This made me feel confident that the team would always double check with me before making any changes to the landscape that they weren't sure of. They made sure to tell me everything I need to know about where they will cut the tree and any risks to the nearby fence and how to avoid it. The team was also very kind and I am happy with the result! When getting the quote, Jesus was on time and patiently answered all my questions! The team is stellar :) read more

Mark and Fidel came out to give me a quote for a tree removal service. They were the first to respond to my RFP, punctual for the site visit, and proposed a more than reasonable bid that beat 4 other competitors. Mark was very responsive in addressing my concerns and went above and beyond in meeting my needs for the project. It was a no brainer to go with this company. Paul and his crew came as scheduled and did amazing work in a very professional manner and quick timeframe. Their technique in taking down trees appears to be safe and definitely very experienced. Paul also has good ethics when it comes to cutting down trees properly and will advise against any unsafe cutting. Paul and his crew did not hesitate to accommodate special requests that came up. I am very satisfied with the quality of service provided and will use them again for future projects. I highly recommend this company for their quality, cost and speed. read more

Our family decided to have a rather large tree in our backyard removed so we reached out to several tree services and decided to go with MC Tree Experts due to their prompt and professional communication and great price quote by Mark. Paul and his crew arrived within 2 days and removed the tree and stump within 2 hrs! Paul and his crew arrived on time, worked tirelessly and cleaned up everything before leaving. Not reliable, I scheduled a time to meet them at the property and they confirmed the time. When I arrived, he did not show up at all. when asked where he is, he said he is in south California! and would not be able to make it! Of course if you are hundreds miles away, you would not make it. But this is totally not acceptable and sign of NOT RELIABLE read more

Paul & his crew were very professional. He had great communication and the job was completed in less than 2 hours; they cleaned up and it looked like they were never even there! Having the Venmo/Zelle payment option was a major bonus! We had two very tall evergreen bushes taken down in our back yard. They came out same day, cut down trees, removed and chipped them right in my front yard and cleaned up everything. It looks great!! I highly recommend Paul @ Monte Cielo Tree Service -- A+ read more

I'm still in serious need of getting my trees pruned. They responded to my initial request yesterday- hence the 3 stars. I asked if they can come for a free quote today from 1-2p. Exchanged contact information. Around 1p my roommate told me he still hasn't gotten a call. I gave them benefit of the doubt since gave them a window of time. 2p rolls still no call/show. I messaged them 20 mins later to not come anymore. It's 2:34p and still no response. Thank you. read more

Fidel's Tree Experts were very communicative, reliable, professional, and efficient. They arrived on time, got rid of two stumps that I initially asked for. I also asked for an estimate for another tree in the back after they arrived and they gave me an estimate for that on the spot, and they got rid of it on the same day in addition to the two original stumps. Overall, a great experience with Fidel, great price on what we requested, fast and efficient service. Would recommend them to others. read more

They were very responsive. Their quote beat out 5 other companies. They answered all my Yelp messages and scheduled a service date within a week. The rain stopped their work and we rescheduled the following week. They cleaned up all the debris. There was a small repair that was needed due to a fallen palm leaf that they fixed. No haggling. Everything was straight forward. read more

Quick to respond to my request for a quote to prune our maple tree and clear it from the power lines. We also had them cut back trees that come over onto our property from next door. I really appreciated the fact that an arborist was doing the work. I would definitely recommend. read more
