Highly recommend this company and my best wishes to Alex and Nima.

I engaged looking for vendors on servicing our residential home…read morefor installation of a new HVAC system, because every single summer since moving into this house (5+ years now) we've always had coolant leakage and have to fix leakage and refill Freon, which is a temporary bandaid fix. This summer it broke yet again and we bit the expensive bullet and started quote shopping. Right off the bat, Alex, was very responsive and communicative in getting us quotes in numbers and cut straight to the chase with numbers games for us. This is an expensive purchase and Alex was very willing to work on getting us the best price in any quote we could procure or others we talked to in the Austin area. Our AC unit went out Sat/Sunday, we talked Sunday night to Alex, and Monday evening after talking with 3-4 more companies, pulled the trigger on our new Carrier 3.5 T unit to swap out our current Trane 3.5 T unit. Alex's crew, his brothers, showed up bright and early Tuesday morning, and got to work! Pulled out the old HVAC system for interior and exterior, which was not an easy job in how our home was built and whoever lived here before decided to put all the big ticket items in the garage but the guys did a great job getting creative! I also spoke to Nimo, who was an absolute pleasure from a business standpoint, in ensuring we could understand everything we paid for today, helped turn the system back on, confirmed everything was properly installed and cleaned up and left even better than when we came in! I absolutely love that we went with Cool Time HVAC. Their customer service is unparalleled in helping us navigate something the typical homeowner considers a headache, and painful financial purchase, but they made it such a no nonsense ordeal. We appreciated the expert eyes, care for our home, and family friendly local business and personalized service in explaining registering for the unit, along with future care maintenance tips, along with hvac inspections that we look forward to continuing for our relationship in our HVAC love so it has many many years of use out of it before we have to do this all over again :)

I called Trusted heating & cooling to sign up for the maintenance package. They came out and asked if I had any concerns with our system and told them down stairs unit was just replaced last year and the other been working fine. The technician then went and removed all of our air filters and told us we should replace them cuz they're dirty and left them on the side of the wall. He then went upstairs to look at the upstairs unit and turn on the AC to test it and went in our attic to look at the system. At this time our system was blowing cold air and everything was fine. He then and called me and said there was a problem and had me come up to the attic. He was trying to explain to me what was wrong but was having a hard time explaining it. Something about the board not working which I was confused and kept asking. Well it's been working completely fine today so I don't understand. He then told me I should just call our home warranty and they can fix it. Still confused as to if it was broken or not but said okay. Maintenance the other one. I thought this was very strange but figured out. I'll just have someone take a look at it. He then calls me outside about our brand new unit and tells me this one is broken as well. Once again not making sense and how it was broken that just it wasn't working and I should call the people that installed it and he doesn't want to touch it. It seems since I told him we had home owners warranty, he didn't want to work on any of our equipment because he couldn't upsell us. Also, I think he knew he broke the upstairs and wanted to leave as fast as possible. Once he left and I went upstairs I noticed it was tremendously hot and something wasn't right. I called the office and told them I believe it's broken. When I was looking at the thermostat nothing was working. When I spoke to the series manager he just said that his technician took videos and documented that it was already broken once he arrived. This is obviously not true because if it wasn't working we would have called our homeowners insurance not them to get are semi-annual maintenance before summer. The service manager didn't even try to help us get this resolved and back up and working basically said it was already broken and we are trying to pull fast one. I have never received this type of customer service before. I would never recommend this place to anyone. By far the worst experience I've ever had.

AC stopped working middle of the night on Wednesday evening. Was lounging in bed watching videos…read moreand heard a pop. Thought it was my crazy neighbor banging his door closed, and forgot about it. Then I started to hear a buzzing every 5 minutes or so. Told my wife to check her phone, figuring that was vibrating. That wasn't it. I then thought hmm what could it be, and as I listened closer noticed it coming from outside where our AC unit is. Went and checked thermostat and saw it was at 78. Wife likes it on 72 and I can say this unit has been managing that this year with the lower summer temps. Went out and checked it and yes the fan was on but you could tell the compressor was trying to kick in and buzzing like missing a connection. Knowing from my past AC events and that pop, I figured and hoped it was the capacitor which is usually a quick fix. The unit was 4 years old, but I was not surprised being an electrical engineer and knowing how more of the solid state components added to these appliances don't last as long as old discrete mechanical ones. What happens in our throw away economy. That is why I was so glad we used Eric. He not only gave us a great deal and great service but he offered the best warranty around. Wife texted him Thursday morning and he showed up less than 30 minutes later. He worked for about 20 minutes knocked on the door and said it was a bad capacitor and all fixed, and reminded us to not touch the thermostat for the next day or so. We asked how much we owed him and he said, "No charge." Music to my wife and my ears. House was back down to 72 by mid day and everything back to normal.
