Perfect spot for dinner our first night in the area! Literally a 13 minute walk from our Airbnb (but we drove!) So much fun seeing the train, backwards posters, and the best thing there... autographed photo of Cory Feldman, lol. That aside, there is nothing that completes a meal with good friends than sharing fried pickles. I got a grilled chicken Caesar salad to share with the hubs who got the fried clams. They were so good crispy and crunchy that the hubs kinda inhaled them and I only managed to grab two!! My kid was so happy to get Mac and cheese from the little's menu. My tween enjoyed the original burger with no mustard. I love that you can decide between fries and their homemade chips (both are great but go for the chips!) The staff is super friendly and really accommodating. The hubs has an issue with dairy and they were able to help check to make sure he didn't have anything dairy and made substitutions so he could enjoy a meal without worry. Lost 1 star cuz my daughter's first burger was just a bit toooo charred (could not bite it) but they were super nice about bringing another one out for her that was perfectly cooked. We lived our waitress! She was so nice and kept checking up on us! If we're in the area again, this will be the first place we go! read more

Excellent. All American comfort food is the best way I would describe it. We got an assortment of Fried Pork Chops, Hamburgers, Chicken Fried Steak, Pasta, Barbecue. Everything was excellent. This place has charm and character. The staff were very polite and attentive. Drink prices are reasonable. In fact, everything in Canyon, TX is reasonably priced. I really don't have any complaints, although there are only eight Uber drivers in this town and we met two of them :) The restaurant was excellent, and if in town again, I will visit. Kudo's! read more

So my husband and I decided to try this place out. Nice place and atmosphere. I was so disappointed that we were waiting nearly 10 minutes. And then once our drink order was taken, the waiter had to come back twice to clarify what my husband wanted for his drink. Also I got a French fry in my corn . But my chicken was delicious. Nice and juicy and the mushrooms and onions on top were perfection. Loved it but sadly that was it. read more

Custom burgers ohhhh my! Salads and sandwiches delicious. Oh their cowboy queso is amazing. Go visit the Palo Duro canyon and then come here!! There are model trains running around the ceiling. Movie props and posters. What a cool place. Food is excellent. read more

While traveling across the country, we were looking for something local and not a chain and stumbled upon this place. Promptly seated our enthusiastic and pleasant server came over and explained the menu and options. We each found something that we liked. The interior is decorated very cool with lots to look at. I wish I'd taken a picture. If you're traveling through town or a local, give them a try! read more

I had not ate here since college, which would have been over 16 years ago. It had been a while, but this place is still great! We started with the chips and "Wrong Way Queso," and then my son had the popcorn chicken with homemade chips, and I had the "Wrong Way Chicken," which was a grilled chicken breast with mushrooms, cheese, and bacon. I had a Caesar side salad, and a side of their green beans. The salad had a little too much dressing, but was tasty, while the green beans were homemade with onions and bacon. The chicken was amazing! I would've taken a picture, but I ate that far too quickly. My son enjoyed his popcorn chicken, but it did remind me of something you could get at a fast food joint; definitely not hand battered. My husband's basketball team, along with the cheerleaders, all ate here after their playoff game. The restaurant was more than accommodating and served them quickly. They all had chicken fried steak and seemed to really enjoy it. This is the place to eat in Canyon, for sure. read more

This place is awesome! We ate on the outdoor patio three days in a row. It was great weather, but we had a puppy and they were very accommodating to this. The southwest tortilla soup is a standout... it has so much flavor, we ordered it three days in a row. My husband was a huge fan of the chicken fried steak. My favorite (aside from the soup) was the pasta and loaded baked potato. There are so many side options we were able to try most of them. The service was also great, every time we went, even though it was in the 80s, we were the only ones on the patio because we had our dog. Highly recommend :) and I wish I had that soup recipe! read more

Place was cool, nice venue good service, waiters had nice attitudes and we were sat quickly. Food was subpar, not really that great for the price and my chicken was undercooked, decently pink. Would give it another shot if I'm ever in town again! read more

Good atmosphere, it 's nice to watch the train models go by. Depends on where you are seated, will depend on how many you see. The fish melted in my mouth, the crust was crispy and well seasoned. The chicken was juicy. The coleslaw was good favor too. The fries were crispy and well seasoned, no salt needed. The staff are friendly and professional. I need to mention our waitress, Katie, she was very patient and polite. She was extremely busy but never neglected us. Looking forward to returning and trying other food items. read more

Stopping by from Fort Worth and came across this pretty cool looking place. I had the Beef Tips with Caesar salad and broccoli. The Beef Tips were pretty good as was the Caesar salad. Our waiter was very responsive as he informed us that he accidentally mixed up our ticket with another table's. We got the chocolate cake for dessert and he comped the cake for the mistake, even though it was just a few cents difference in the prices. Overall, I really enjoyed the place and the atmosphere! read more

Great food. Variety of choices for the whole family. Great service every time I have gone.

If you're looking for something delicious to eat near Palo Duro Canyon, this is a great place to go to. They have classic Southern favorites like chicken fried steak and beef tips and they serve it with a smile. Our waiter was so kind and helpful. Our group enjoyed all the things - especially the chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak, and beef tips. The chili cheese fries and chips and queso were great as well. We'd definitely go back here. read more

Feldman's was recommended by the staff at our hotel. What a great place for dinner! First, the dining room is relaxed and whimsical. We thoroughly enjoyed the grilled chicken salad and the delicious queso & chips as a starter. The salads are not only tasty, but a fantastic value. The bowl was so big you could bury your whole face in it! We finished our evening with the Bourbon pecan pie. Truly amazing! Our service by Abi was friendly and attentive. No hesitation about recommending this great restaurant. read more

This place at one point many many years ago was so good. It has sadly gone downhill. I would have to convince my husband to come here and give it another try though out the years and it unfortunately didn't get better, but worse . I wish it was as good as it used to be years ago. read more

I sat outside on patio since I had a dog. I went inside and checked in with the hostess who said she would send a server out to me. 2 different servers came out to check on patrons and clean a table, neither acknowledged me. I asked one of the servers if she could take my order and she said she had to check with the hostess??? After 10 minutes with no service I left. Awful service, or lack of service. I picked this restaurant because it had a dog friendly patio. After driving for 8 hours no dinner was to be had at this diner. Terrible service, do not recommend. me read more

Good food, good service. first time we have been there and liked it so much we came back for a second meal. Recommend it if you're new to the community or if you're a regular. read more

The food is always sub-par. chicken is pre-cooked and stored in water taste like hot dogs. Brocoli and cheese potatoe was so disgusting. It's supposed to be a b&c soup on a baked potatoe, not warmed canned cheese sauce with steamed brocoli on top. What bar doesn't carry a basic Moscato? THIS ONE. I should have just gone to Texas Rose like my original plan. My Bar tender was awesome, though. read more

I had the white cheddar cheese bites and chips and salsa as a starter. The Green Chile Chicken sandwich was served in chipotle flatbread. The chicken was a little thicker than I'd like and sort of tough. It had a great flavor though, and overall it was a good meal with excellent service. read more

I had a very unusual dish that was delicious... a loaded baked potato with chicken fried steak and gravy on top. I chose a house salad as a side dish. The salad was cold, crisp and excellent. The chicken fried steak tasted "home cooked." It was just right. Another person with me had a 6 oz sirloin that was cooked exactly as she requested. Both meals were reasonably priced in today's economy. Our service could not have been better. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The ambience is diner-ish. Highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Feldman's has noticeably declined in the last few years. Prices have increased substantially and the food and service quality has not increased to match. I used to go here pretty much every week, now I rarely go at all. The food is still very good, though. If you are visiting canyon and you are willing to spend money, it is worth dining in. read more

I was looking for a burger after spending the morning walking in Palo Duro Canyon Park (also recommend) I stopped in Feldmans - what a good decision. In my quest to eat healthier this year, I ordered the grilled chicken salad. Cold and crisp greens, perfectly cooked chicken - one of the best I've had! The chicken fried steak looked great too! My fiancée and I came here around noon last Sunday after church. There was a small wait time, however the bar seating was open. We opted for the bar and had amazing service! We both ordered the country fried steak with the sides of a Caesar salad, macaroni and cheese, corn and mashed potatoes. Food was amazing and quick and the price was great! I also loved the trains above us and through the decor was interesting. read more

The staff was quick and helpful. Was clean and had an awesome aesthetic i especially liked the model trains going around the track above our heads. The chips and queso was mediocre. My wrong way chicken was good not the best chicken but was good. The mac and cheese was not good the cheese felt watered down and had a grainy texture. The mash potatoes and gravy was average and tasted good. read more

Wrong way defiantly turn around and go another way. The service is slow the food is cold and the margaritas are watered down and if you ever wanted to taste as frosted battered and doused with dill salt get the fried pickles .... So in other words feldmans warned you right in the title it is a wrong way to go inside. Yuck yuck yuck. Myself and my family all had stomach aches all night after eating here. read more

Small portions for Big Prices on to-go food! I ordered a side of broccoli and a Bowl (not a Cup!!!) of chicken tortilla soup to go. The soup was 8 ounces at best for $7.50 (which is really a cup) and the broccoli was $3.50 for a tiny 3 ounces which was a couple of bites. Really? Do they only give children's portions to people who ordered to go? The food did not taste badly I was just disappointed with the portions. read more

You might miss this tucked away joint if you're driving through this sleepy college town. It's behind some other places, so you'll have to look for it. The floor plan is large and open, very causal. The place was a bit dimly lit for my taste. It could use some more light to brighten up the place. Our waitress/hostess was alone at 3:00pm when we came in. She had about 5 tables and did an outstanding job taking care of all of us. The food was OK, reminded me of basic Texas fried goodness. We started with the fried pickles, which I must say were actually pretty damn good. Nice cuts and good breading. We ordered mustard to dip them in instead of ranch and our waitress looked at us a little funny, but it was a great choice! For food my man went with the Texas Egg Roll. Ever heard of a deep fried Philly Cheesesteak - well that's what it was. Healthy - NO ; Good - deep friend anything is right!! I had the 'manager special' with a broccoli and cheese baked potato and Caesar salad. The potato was really pretty good - not spectacular, but tasty; my salad however went swimming in dressing and I could only eat about half of it. The fries were cooked nicely though - crisp and light! Overall - not to bad for this modest college town, but I'd have to try something else out next time. Certainly wouldn't return for any of the other - except those fried pickles - mmm mmmm mmmmm ;) Kinda disappointed the train wasn't running either :( read more
