Just had a salesman come out for an estimate to replace my 2 standard patio doors also including energy efficient glass. After complaining about how much he has to drive, and acting as if the replacement is a major project, he quoted me $5,400! When I told him that he is more than $3,000 over Lowe's quote for Pella doors, he then offered me $4,400. When I still declined, he then offered me $3,200! What a rip-off, apparantly their salesmen can make up any price they want. And he was also insisting I keep my current trim. Stay away, in my experience their business practices appear to be very shady. And their 'free installation' amounts to $150 a door, ridiculous! read more

I wish I could give Feldco a negative rating!! They are by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with!! I recommend anyone needing to buy windows to avoid Feldco at any cost!!! The customer service was pitiful!!! read more

These windows leak more than my old windows. The windows are hard to close and don't seal properly. You can sit and watch the drapes blow in the breeze even though the windows are closed and sealed. Complete pieces of crap. Feldco will not stand behind their products. A feldco rep came out three times and stated thats how the windows are designed. Really????? I never heard of an energy effecient window "designed" to leak during thunderstorms but I'm not an engineer. I'm tired of getting the run around so i guess I'll learn to live with it. I would stay as far away from feldco and the garbage they are peddling. read more

Save yourself the trouble...not worth calling Feldco. We bought windows last year from Feldco and had a great experience. Since then, there have been new sales people and inexperienced at that. We had an unprofessional guy come, and LATE. The appt went 2 hrs, unnecessary. He quoted too high then emailed us with an approved price from his manager. Which was still higher than Pella. Then he mysteriously he found a door in our price range. We were interested so he came again, yet again very LATE. And again stayed for almost 2 hrs. We literally had to ask him to leave multiple times. We did sign the contract. Then 4 weeks later were told the window we ordered, Feldco doesn't offer! What! I got an email, not even a call from our sales guy. I could have saved myself the trouble and ordered from Pella to begin with. I gave them till the morning to get the order right otherwise, I'm canceling. What a hassle! read more

First they left me a message every day for a week to come out for a quote on windows. I decided I was in fact ready to start getting quotes on windows so I agreed to have them come out for an estimate. I then proceeded to schedule the appointment and was informed that my husband and I had to both had to be home for this. I said we have very busy and opposite schedules so this would not work for us. They then refused to come out! What a joke of a company. This is not a business I would want to give my money to. You would think this would be the time the customer service would be the best. I would be scared to see how they treat their customers after they get your business! read more

We had first round of replacements done 4rs ago. We had the remainder done 3/23/17. That's 9 windows plus a picture window with 2 side windows attached. Great job, great clean up. More than nice workers. And although the last renters barely opened windows, we are happy we haven't had any problems with them. Would recommend. read more

I purchase 4 windows less than 3 years ago from Felco after the windows was installed they never closed completely at the top kept sliding down still airy .I called the sales rep someone came out made some adjustments and tried to make me think it was just normal after installation. Talked to you like you don't know whats going on in your own house .To date I still have not got any resolution to my problem, In January of 2017 I purchased 4 more windows this time from Home Depot. You can immediately tell the difference between Felco and Home depot's windows. MONEY was just wasted.Customer Service was not helpful at all . Save your money!!!!! If I could give 1/2 star that would be to much ! read more

I called Feldco on 7/22/2013 to have a rep come out to my fathers house and give a estimate for windows, siding, soffit and fascia. I was asked if I was the home owner. I explained that I was not, my father is out of town for the week and it was my job to gather estimates from various companies while he was gone so when he returns we could make a decision on what company to go with. I was told they would not send a rep out to the residence without the home owner present. Frustrated, I asked to speak with a manager. After explaining myself again, explaining that I was acting on behalf of my father and would be making all decisions on style of windows & siding so a estimate could be put together. I was again told they would not send a rep out without the homeowner present. Why is this? This is because Feldco use high pressure salesman that want you to sign a contract right there on the spot. . This is, in my opinion poor business practices. Any business that is willing to lose $20-25,000 dollars worth of business because we wouldn't be signing a contract that day is ridiculous. read more

Feldco Windows are terrible quality or their salesperson had no knowledge of what he was selling. We went with the exact recommended best windows for our home. 16 of them. 12 all the exact same size windows. The windows did not last 3 years. We had 3 frames completely rot and needed to be replaced. Our heating bills were higher after replacing every window in our home with Feldco windows. We had to purchase new windows within 3 years of the Feldco windows. Their only solution was to "upgrade" us to a completely different window style and change the look of our home to "solve" their window quality problem. Because their windows also rotted the window frames and the wood trim, we could not chance that these "upgrades" would not further cause structural issues. Feldco REFUSED to even consider offering a settlement to us. Which seems very fishy as those "upgraded" windows "free" to us would have a cost so why would they not satisfy a customer ??????????? read more

purchased windows in May 2016. Now one won't go down and one won't unlock. Called last week and was told since windows were over two years old we would have to pay a "trip fee" -49.95 if paid on phone or 69.95 if paid at time of service call. Told them I would call them back and pulled my paperwork. Guess what this week I am told the trip fee applies after one year and no explanation as to why I was told two years last week. Bought windows from them ten or twelve years ago and no problems and my parents bought them before that and recommended them to me, no problems now this. Reading here seems they changed in regards to their operation a few years ago. going to review all my paperwork to see if these charges are in there but would never use them again. you would think a company would want to correct a problem with their supposed "best" product but apparently a few bucks more is more important than good relations with customers of long standing read more

Just want to say that I think Feldco is fantastic! We had a bay window and a garden window installed and we love them - they turned out beautifully and have added beauty and value to our home, not to mention eliminating drafts! Everyone at Feldco has been a pleasure to work with too - from salespeople to customer service to the installers. The installers were quick and also cleaned up after they were done. I've recommended Feldco to friends and neighbors, who have already used them too. I will definitely use them again for future window needs. read more

Don't spend time looking at any other place for new doors than Feldco. They're very professional and do a great job. Installers clean up when they're done. I love my new doors. You will too when you call Feldco read more

Great experience from the start. I decided to go with Feldco because I needed to make sure I had a company that I knew would install properly regardless of the quality of the window (not that these are low quality, but installation was the most important). My salesman was very knowledgable, very nice, and very accomodating. My windows came in about 2 weeks faster than anticipated and the crew installed them quickly, properly, and cleanly. I was so satisfied I just placed an order to the remaining windows on my home and can't wait until they're all installed. read more

This is our second time using Feldo windows. We had 1/2 the house done about 8 yrs ago and finished up most of the rest. Sales Men that visited us was great. We took advantage of the 40% repeat customer sale and the installers were efficient and finished up the job in less time than I expected since most of the windows were on the second floor. They even rerouted a cable wire we had going through a lower level window up to a second floor outside. We were very happy with the whole process. I would have to say that what we payed we expected the price to be a bit less with the sale but we took advantage of the 18 months no interest deal too. read more

We just had Feldco windows installed. The crew was professional. The clean up was excellent. The guy who did the caulking was meticulous making the final touches. I read some bad reviews and was not going to use Feldco but a co-worker used them and he loves his windows. Anderson and Pella windows remove the entire casing holding the windows and it is very costly but Feldco had what we wanted just to remove the window alone which they call retrofit windows. The price was 1/2 the cost compared to the Anderson and Pella windows. I would use them again. read more

This company refused to even set up an appointment for an estimate unless both myself and spouse were present.

I would recommend Feldco to anyone looking for quality windows. The sales team that came to my house was very knowledgeable and I didn't feel pressured at all. However, it was a bit longer than I expected and there was a ton of paperwork once I made the decision to purchase the windows. The measurement team was quick and the installers were very careful, polite and everything was immaculate when they were finished. There customer service was excellent on all levels. read more

After putting Feldco windows in two of my houses in the past 7 years I finally had a warranty issue @ 18 months after the latest installation. Please note if after 1 year they say the warranty says there may be a trip charge, what it should say is there will be a trip charge. So to repair their defect free of charge you'll pay $69 for them to drive 10 miles to repair their shoddy workmanship. My next house will not get Feldco windows, they do not stand behind their product, yet let you believe they do. read more

I would like to thank Feldco for making the whole window installation process so easy. Feldco installed 11 windows, front and rear doors, and screen doors for us. The salesman was very knowledgeable and showed us just the products that we asked for rather than forcing us to get something that we did not need. The install process also went very smoothly. The installers were very proffesional, showed up on scheduled time and cleaned up after they were done with there work. Good job Feldco. read more

I needed to replace a glass block window in my basement with a window we could escape out of in case of a fire. I specified this in my online request and also verbally when talking with the person setting up the appointment. When the representative came 35 minutes late, the rep. took a look at the window and then at his paperwork and said he has a notation that say's NO BASEMENT WINDOWS. He then called someone and said they don't do basement windows in Berwyn because they don't make windows that satisfy Berwyn's codes. He then gathered his things, said I'm sorry, walked away and left me dumbfounded. What the heck. They did not know this when my original request was made? I called their customer service after he left and they said they don't know why he was sent for the estimate. read more

Ready for story time? Well, now that I signed up to Yelp to write a review for a GREAT company, and I'm now looking to price storm doors for installation this fall, I came across Feldco and figured I'd leave the review I never left before. We got our house in 2004...2005, we decided to replace the windows. 12 windows, Feldco came out and gave a great estimate, measured correctly, made the windows. And a crew came out and installed them in a few short hours...great job. So why wouldn't we contact them for two storm doors and an entry door in 2014? Well, we did. The guy came out and showed us options...gave a not-so-great estimate, but they did so great with the windows we figured we'd give them the business again. Measured, set up the financing (good terms through Wells Fargo). Then a technician came out, to double-check the measurements and gave a date for delivery and installation. Delivery day comes. They send ONE short middle-aged man (not blaming the poor guy) to install THREE heavy doors, so it takes a LONG time. The entry door and one storm door go well, much to his credit. But then he removes our old front screen door and goes to install the new one. It doesn't fit. All that money...two separate people measuring...and it doesn't fit. By now he's been working for NINE HOURS and it's dark. He packs up the doors (INCLUDING OUR OLD SCREEN DOOR) into his van, and informs us that the door will have to be ordered...which, of course is another several weeks for custom size...which we'd already waited in the first place. Call to complain, and they casually tell me and my wife they'll put a rush on the new order. No sense of urgency in the half-*** apology. But my concerns were shared with the "management team" who did nothing but cut my wait time down to TWO WEEKS with no screen/storm door. Wooden entry door unprotected from the Chicago fall weather (plenty of rain and wet leaves, this was in early October), I (and my wife) ask for ANY cost adjustment due to THEIR ERROR and the fact we didn't receive service/product as promised, and the fact their error left us with a missing screen door (which looks very tacky, I might add)...of course noone wants to entertain that thought. So the door finally comes over two weeks later...more than two months after the initial meeting. To install ONE door, they send THREE young guys, and they're here and gone in no time. Why they sent one poor older guy to do an inverse installation, I'll never understand. But it's a fair indication of how backwards their business practices apparently are. Given the poor ratings they've received from others, I'm obviously not alone. And it's funny that they couldn't be bothered to stay in touch enough to give sincere apologies, but CERTAINLY have called our house multiple times a month since, to drum up more business. If you, the consumer, are still reading...thank you. If this review saves even ONE of you from the headache my wife and I suffered at the hands of this unprofessional company, then it was worth it, for more than just my therapeutic value. If you, a Feldco representative, are still reading this...stop calling us. We'll get our doors from a company that can do things right the first time and/or at least show genuine care and concern for its customers. We're not falling for that again. read more

I would never do business with Feldco again. Sales guy was great beautiful doors we bought. My wife and I wanted to up grade our doors so we bought top of the line doors. I remember they had a problem installing my front door but they finally got it. I've had problems twice with the front door. So I called with the same problem front doors won't lock because they are not lined up. I've been calling going on 2 weeks and they have been giving me the run around and I told them how are they security doors if they don't lock. I had a 300 dollar door on there for 20 yrs no problems and I've had these doors 3yrs and they are giving me a problem and they still are under warranty. The guy told me I'm not sending no one out to fix your doors I told him so basically I have to deal with it myself he said take it as is. Sales guy was great beautiful doors customer service will not help u and don't believe the warranty. I'm gonna call a lawyer and deal with this because now they want to say I have a foundation problem. So they will not fix the doors. read more

they need to improve their service. I went there to ask for a quote and i had to wait until someone noticed me.

On Sept 18 of 2018 I purchases 10 windows for replacement. At the time the salesmen assured me these windows would be installed before winter. On Sept 26th the windows were measured. On Dec. 11th an appointment to install the windows was made. Five of the windows were measured incorrectly.I was told they would have to be reordered.I was told this would take two to three weeks and that they would put a rush order in.It is now Jan 26 and I haven't heard a word. No update no nothing! Very disappointed in Feldco. I have left messages with the Operations Manager twice to discuss some issues I was having with the windows that were installed and my call was never returned. Also contacted the salesman to express my concerns. He said he would look into my concerns but never received a call back. Poor customer service! The installer was very polite and somewhat efficient but he doesn't work for Feldco. If I knew what I know now I would have NEVER done business with these guys. Wish I would have stayed local. read more

*** Final update. Thanks for commenting on my review. I understand that you want husband and wife to be present IF they are married. Feldco did an excellent job. The product was great and the service was very professional and friendly. I'm very happy with everything

Feldco's salesman will show up and almost immediately start showing you alleged affidavits from former customers stating that their prices was better then other companies. Beware this is a ploy so you won't price compare, because Feldco windows are astronomically priced. I didn't purchase their window because I had done my homework and realized that they where not even in the same ball park as other companies. They also use a high pressure tactic of offering you an additional discount if you are willing to purchase NOW, again this is done so you won't take the time to price compare. Do your homework, don't fall for their tatics. read more

This is the start of my Feldco review, but unfortunately you're going to have to wait a week and a half before I can truly give them a rating but it can only stay the same or get worse. 1. Contacted Feldco in January about a price for replacement windows in May. Salesman was knowledgeable and courteous. 2. I called around May 10 (I don't have exact date) to sign contract, Saleman even came on the Sunday of Mother's Day to sign the contract and get half the money, but again, he was nice while taking the money. 3. Feldco called and scheduled and appointment for Friday 16 between 10-12, I told them that's fine as I have three kids at home between 2-4 and they nap after 12 in the bedrooms as I'm replacing all the bedroom windows. I received a call at work from the Nanny at 1:00 stating they haven't shown up yet, should I put them down, I told her to hold on and I would call. I called, waited on hold for 15 minutes while they figured out what happened. It was a computer problem where they had me in the system for the right time, but the computer didn't alert anyone to show up. I was informed that this has never happened, they apologized and rescheduled for 5-19-2014 between 4-6 which was great as the kids would be up. 4. On 5-19, nobody shows up, I call Stacey at night after I got home from work to find out what happened. She wasn't sure, but said she would put this directly to her manager. I asked for a managers name, couldn't get one. She says she can schedule me again, I told her anything except 12-3 time where the kids are sleeping. The quickest day she had was 5-29, 10 days later. I had to take it, but I'm wondering if I should have canceled as the other quotes were right in line with Feldco. The worst part is that this is just for a final measurement, then it takes a month after that for the installation. If I'm already having this hard of time with just getting a measurement, what's going to happen for the real install. I will be updating this after the 29th, probably stating that I canceled my order and demanded my down payment back or maybe I'll be able to say the Feldco employee (all subs from what I read) actually showed up. 5-20-2014 - Moving on up-2 stars- Feldco called today and they are sending a measuring tech out today. Lets see if they show. 5-20-2014 - Tom showed up on time, measured the windows, setup installation date and couldn't have been more courteous. Up to 3 stars, hopefully the installation goes we'll. 6-5-2014 - Installation Day- window 8-10, received a call at 7:45 saying they would be here in 20 minutes, they showed up right on time. Crew blanketed stairs, walkways, and everywhere they worked. I had covered everything in plastic, but it turns out I really didn't have to as after they removed the windows portion, they put plastic behind them and removed the rest straight outside. The crew was very professional and walked me through the steps and asked if I had any questions multiple times. I would give this crew five stars, but leaving Feldco at 4 only because of the early mess ups. Windows look great, I would agree with others that the hardware seems cheap but we'll see how it lasts over the years. I have to say, Feldco does care about it customers as the crew finished up a manager showed up to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. You may pay a little more for Feldco, but I would still recommend them to anyone wanting new windows. Trent read more

My parents had ordered new windows for their house from feldco. one of the windows they ordered was a bay window. The bay window turned out to be more of a hassle then it was worth. My parents had to call the to come back about 5 times to fix things they messed up. It is still not to their liking however they just gave up on calling as nothing was getting resolved. Not to mention they were smoking and leaving cigarette butts all over the property and swearing in front of the little kids. I would never recommend going through feldco for your windows. it is a waste of your time and money. read more

I purchased a new patio door from Feldco. I had no issues with the sales or install situation. My issue was with billing department. I gave the company my debit card number and authorized the finall payment of $1399. The company charged that and an additional $2684 (more than the cost of the whole product let alone the final payment) and cause my checking account to be overdrawn. No one from the company contacted me to inform me of the error, I discovered this when my bank notified me of the overdraft. I called Feldco and was placed on hold, then told all billing department members were at lunch. After I informed the woman this was not acceptable and they need to find me someone now, I magically was able to speak with someone in billing. I was told that they entered the amount incorrectly and they thought that they cancelled the second charge. They also chose not to notify me because they thought that with credit cards it was just put as a pending debt and not immediately taken out of the account. I told the man in billing, i informed your office upon giving them my card information it was a debit card and I was confused why that would matter in the first place. This is a serious financial concern for me and I had to report it as a fraud charge to my bank. I believe that they company should have offered a reasonable percentage off the final cost of the product, not just an apology. I have a negative account until that money is returned to my account. I was so upset and feel completely taken advantage of by this company!!!! Unless you pay cash for the service, I would not give them any of your information!!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Patti (feldco rep) $100 to make up for your error seems a pretty slim considering your company over Drew my checking account and took 3 times the authorize amount of money from my account! This is just wonderful right before Christmas! Gee thanks! This is why I filled a BBB complaint and have given poor reviews to this company so others can avoid this situation! read more

So very disappointed in Feldco products. We bought a new door, it's not only a year old and they have had to come back three times already to fix the screen and put rollers on. Now, they have to replace both glass insets that have the built in blinds. We have not even had it a year whereas the door we replaces was the original and had no problems. It was not a feldco. We wanted to update the look in our kitchen. As we now need to replace windows in our home, I guarantee it won't be from feldco. read more

I recently had Feldco come out to give me a quote on 4 large slider windows and an 8 foot sliding patio door. One of the reasons I called Feldco was because a family member recently had them out for a quote and the price was reasonable. When placing the call for appointment, all went well and some specific questions regarding my needs were asked on the initial call to help make sure they had a product I needed, given I live in a town home with a home owner's association. The sales representative arrived on time (I will not mention his name), however he did not take his shoes off when he entered my home. He proceeded to measure the windows and patio door, then came the sales pitch and pricing. I was not overly impressed with the presentation of the product, and was more impressed with other companies I had come to my home. While he was presenting, I had two questions I asked and he said he would need to get back to me with the answers. When I asked these questions, he did not write them down. I was also not impressed with their BBB rating and misleading promotions. Apparently the buy one get one sale advertised on TV is only for double hung windows and a disclaimer indicates that on the commercial, although you cannot read it on a 90" television even if you had a magnifying glass, and their website offers no fine print regarding this promotion. While going over pricing, I kept in mind that my family member had been quoted $5200 for 14 double hung windows in the Sophia series. The price I was given was significantly higher and I had less windows. I did consider the fact that my windows were significantly larger than my family member, and were the slider style instead of double hung. I was given two price options, one with all four windows and one with all four windows and the sliding door. When I mentioned the price my family member was quoted, the sales pitch quickly ended and suddenly the sales rep could not find his papers to provide me a written quote and said he would have to follow up via e-mail. I felt as though he didn't believe me when I told him what my family member was quoted, and he seemed rude when he left my home and didn't even offer to shake my hand upon leaving. The next day I received the e-mail below. The e-mail included a quote for just one of the two prices he gave me and included mis-spellings, poor grammar, and lacked a greeting and salutation. Feldco is pleased to following windows for your consideration. 1,2 lite slider kitchen 1,2 lite slider dinning room 1,2 lite slider bedroom 1 1,2 lite slider bedroom 2 All windows. have lifetime, transferable waurantee Inside outside top to bottom, and includes glass breakage, and screen repair All windows can be removed from frame for easy cleaning. Price with all discounts $3525.00 Delivery would be 4-5 weeks from date of order. Price is good till end of May. A separate e-mail was sent by the sales rep reviewing the quote my family member was given and he sharply pointed out that she had different windows which I had already disclosed to him. He also pointed out she had a different price than I had shared with him. Since my family member had received so many quotes, I got the information mixed up and provided him information on a quote from a competitor. My mistake. To make a long story end... I will not be using Feldco for my window and sliding door replacements due to their poor customer service via written communication, poor presentation on their product, and mis-leading advertising on promotions. I am still waiting for the answers to my two questions.... read more

Purchased a French patio door from Feldco. The sales person sold us on an invisible screen door. After finishing the installation, the installer explained to us that the door would not be usable if we had people over going in and out of the door and that it would not be a good idea to have children using it. I have two small children and the door leads to our deck making it a high traffic area. The sales person knew this and said nothing about how unsuitable this door would be in our situation. I tried to live with the door but it was absolutely horrible to deal with for all of us, an extremely inferior product. I called Feldco to complain and was told a manager would contact us. It took 3 increasingly angry phone calls before I was finally called back. The manager apologized and promised to work on a solution to the problem and call me back. He never did. I tried to follow up again with still no further word from management. Horrible sales, horrible product, horrible customer service. Will never use them again. Just seeing their commercials makes me angry. Will probably write a bad review every time I see one. read more

I have to say that my experience with Feldco was wonderful. I did have a quote from another dealer and they were very pushy . I purchased Feldoco windows about five years ago and am very satisfied. From ordering to installation the process was easy. There were no problems and I noticed a difference right away. We got new windows in I think 99 they were good..now we had a problem of them "falling" down on top if you left them open for more than 1 day they would slip down you know in the summer and spring on nice days you would have to go around checking to make sure all the windows on Top were still up so that you know BUGS didn't come in. One service guy told me that I should just "put screws in the windows to hold them UP". New service guy said the springs are fine they just needed extra weather stripping to help them hold their place. OUr $1500 Garden window is NOTHING but trouble. the side windows broke and took them several steps to "fix" it and NO WAY can you put plants in this "garden window" frost builds up in the winter and in the summer it BURNS the plants. Last night while watching the Grammy's it sounded like a gun going off in my house it was the window above my head shattering on the top. No one was touching it no one had touched it. Called them and the lady said a "TECH would call me back in a few short minutes" ok well almost 10 hours later no call I called the 866 number. The next person was very rude told me they didnt' open til 10 so nothing I can do and then said repair shop opens at 8am and nothing they can do because it was going to take WEEKS to get the window in. Called the repair shop left a long detailed message. Then got a call back finally from there. She said it's because it's cold the glass does funny things. It is going to take 4 weeks to get new window and it will cost $39 for a "trip" fee for them to come out each time. Each time it is really SOMETHING else when I talk to them. I am really disappointed and WISH I would have gone with Novy's windows here in Brookfield! SO STAY AWAY FROM FELDCO!!!! So not worth it! read more

I had purchased 4 windows for the back of my house for a total of $2,767 a couple of years ago. I called Feldco Wednesday evening to set up a free estimate for the 12 windows on the front of my house and received an appointment on Saturday at 3:30. I was SHOCKED and disappointed when the salesman did not show up. I was informed that because I didn't call Feldco back on Friday to state I would be home (which I thought was perfectly clear when I set up the appointment) they chose not send anyone out. I did have a message on my answering machine but it stated my appointment was on Satuday and I was not told that if I did not call back that no one would come out. I never received a call on Saturday just following up. I was suprised in this economy that Feldco is not interested in continuing my business. read more
