I have had nothing but problems from their customer service department. No one calls back for days. No one takes ownership of the problem at hand. I will never consider Feldco for any of my window needs and will be sure to tell others to do the same. GOO LUCK to all who have choosen them. Save your time and money and go elsewhere!!! read more

Wish I knew better. Installing windows is not rocket science. I replaced 6 windows and a patio door with Feldco four years ago. While the windows have been great the patio door is at least one service call a year, mostly for riding on the railing producing a horrible squeal. To be fair, they have fixed the issue each time and it's free - though scheduling usually takes a while. Now a 50 cent latch is broken that allows the screen door to lock to frame. I call to take advantage of my "lifetime" warranty only to find that the lifetime warranty is only one year. Years 2-5 you have to pay a service fee. After that you have to pay a fee plus labor? Perhaps this is related to the fact that we had their smarmy guy quote us for four more windows recently. Here's a word to the wise. They try to get you to sign in the house and hand over a deposit. Any contract you sign in your house is FULLY cancellable in 30 days. If you don't sign in the house they make you go to their store. Anything signed in a store is a done deal legally. read more

Product is good, installation process is sub-par. Our installers weren't prepared, were constantly on their cell phones, etcetera and the Feldco Rep told us they couldn't control it as they use sub-contractors for the installation. Good installers and good customer service related to our issue would have kept us coming back for other projects. read more

Our condo association hired them to do our entire 6-unit building. Installation went well and windows do not rattle like the old ones did. Not long after installation, one of ours cracked. Their customer service after installation is horrible. We would continually get sales calls from them (they don't cross-check with recent customer lists, apparently), and when I'd mention we were having problems, they'd give me a number to call rather than taking down my information and following up. When I finally did talk to someone, he heard my complaint, then said he would call me back. That was over a year ago. No call. I called a number that was on our bill, and got the same run-around. ("Not our department" type stuff). They promised to connect me with customer service, and said they would give me the number if we got disconnected, but never did. Keep in mind that their product is supposed to come with a 10-year guarantee. Seems like they're just waiting us out to see if they can get away with not following through. read more

Wow, called last week Thursday to place an order for Windows and was told by my salesman that he would call me back Friday after he received his schedule to come out with a contract. Unfortunately today is Monday and didn't hear from as of yet. Called Tony the sales manager to see if they were too busy for my order. He apologized but a little too late. Called another window company and gave them the order. That salesman is coming with a contract on his vacation. That's someone who cares about the client. Won T recommend Feldco in the future! read more

We had a pretty good experience with Feldco. Yes, the saleman who came to the house was pushing us to make a sale, but we were ready to say yes because the price he quoted was 20% lower than another company's quote and the product was better quality. Measuring and installation were flawless and on time and we're very happy. The only thing that is annoying are the sales calls we now get 3-5 times a month. They never leave a message and sometimes they call twice in the same day, home phone and cell phone. I usually ignore the calls, but when I do pick up I nicely ask that they please stop calling. No effect. Next time I will ask to be removed from their call list and see if that makes a difference. read more

The guy came to my house to measure up my windows. He saw my expensive car and tried to up sell me. I asked him a couple of questions and he didn't seem very knowledgable. He said he would give buy one get one window free. Like im not an idiot, no company will give you this deal. He said he would get back to me and never called or showed up. This was a bad experience. Would not recommend. Shop around people. read more

Wow, what a wonderful experience gone wrong. We are in the beginning stages of a major renovation project and simply getting all of our quotes in a row to finalize the budget. However, that really wasn't supposed to be the case in terms of windows portion because of a past experience with Feldco that motivated us to not shop around and stick to what we knew - from a product and service standpoint, but not necessarily being dismissive of the costs. From making the first phone call 6 weeks ago to having them set up an appointment after our closing, things seemed to be in line with our positive memory from the last time we purchased from them for our condo - in 2007. To further accommodate our needs, they were even able to reschedule and push our appointment up from the originally scheduled time/day. All pluses from that point. "Joe," our sales representative, came by and was 210% pleasant. He was vocal, very confident in the product/services/overall company and went through the whole presentation - like we remembered when we bought 9 years ago. We just happened to inquire about Feldco at the same time the lucrative "Buy One Get One Free" window promotion was going on. At the end of the measuring and consultation, "Joe" presented his price: Retail, less promotional discount, less an additional 3% from the factory, less 2% for posting a Feldco sign in our front yard for 2 weeks after installation, and then finally an additional 3% for cash deal. The Net was roughly $13K for rebuilding of new frames in all of the rooms, across 20 windows. Good price? Of course. A decision to be made on the spot? Absolutely not. After my wife and I decided we need a few days to think about this, I told "Joe" and his demeanor changed dramatically. He questioned why, asked if we were shopping his quote against another provider, and what could do to make us ink the deal in that day. In all honestly, if there was something else he could do then why sell me on "this is the bottom line" when clearly there is more to play with when I haven't insinuated that this is even a bad price - yet a significant amount of money to agree on spending without thoroughly analyzing our expenses for the renovation? Well, unfortunately for "Joe," I wasn't going to let him spend my money for me. I think the approach from the beginning was great, but once he realized that he wasn't dealing with a lay down and closing $13K over the course of 3.5hrs his true colors showed. "Joe" suggested everything from doing some of the windows now and lock in the pricing for the balance for 12 months to financing for no money down and no payment for 12 months. I think what he failed to do was understand that we needed time to agree on that amount, which wasn't going to happen today. I called Feldco for an estimate, not a hard sell on closing the deal today. I'm pretty disappointed in the entire situation and surely not using/referring Feldco to anyone in the near or distant future. 5/27/15 - spoke with the sales manager, Tony, to discuss the matter and he was very apologetic. I appreciate the gesture and I'm certainly impressed with the professionalism, which goes a long way. read more

CAUTION! Their warranty is not what it looks like! They state that they offer "a lifetime non prorated warranty and will repair defects at no cost to the buyer". Non prorated means that the manufacturer or seller will replace or repair the item at no cost to the buyer in case of some problem with the product. Ok, so I buy $5,000 worth of windows 5 years ago and yesterday one of them was not working. When I called to schedule a repair I was informed that there is a $69 service fee. In addition I was informed that after 5 years I am also responsible for labor charges. This is illegal and a breach of contract. I am taking legal action. Buyer beware. read more

In times where there is a world pandemic, we are all supposed to wear masks in places that aren't outside or our homes. Two Feldco workers came to install new windows at our house today. They arrived at 8:30am and we asked them to wear masks while they were in the house. Around 1pm, I returned home to be in my backyard, went inside to change real quick, and saw the workers weren't wearing masks. I returned outside but about half an hour later went inside to ask if they could please wear their masks. The one man started talking back at me saying "well why aren't you wearing a mask, what if you have something that I don't want". He was extremely rude. My dad has Parkinson's Disease and is considered immune compromised. This man was not respectful at all. I went back outside after explaining I wasn't wearing a mask because I have been outside and only came in to ask them to put their masks on. I understand people need work more than ever right now but it's still so important to wear a mask and respect others. I am EXTREMELY upset with this employee and the fact they have been in our house for a good part of the day maskless. read more

It's unfortunate, with the world of the internet, people now have a venue to quickly complain for all to see, as these complaints almost turned me away from Feldco. However, our experience from the get go was 100% first class. We had a major project on our hands, replacing 24 windows in a 1956 restoration. We accepted bids from Feldco, Anderson, Pella and Jeld-Wen. What sold us was the professionalism of Vince. So much so that we had a simple question and he insisted on coming to our house on a Sunday to answer in person. After signing the agreement Vince held our hand through the entire process. When the measurement guy came out, he was just as professional as Vince. Taking almost 4 hours to diligently measure and walk us through the process of window replacement. Within 3 weeks we had a courtesy call to schedule the installation. We scheduled it for two days as it was a big project. The 2 man team arrived at 8am on the dot. Both extremely professional and courteous that we still had a sleeping infant in one of the rooms. They got to work immediately, stopping only at 12pm for a quick bite to eat. They worked through a massive downpour in the afternoon, completing the entire job at 9pm. They turned a 2 day job into one, with the utmost diligence and craftsmanship that you would expect from any tradesman. They even walked through the house with us at 9pm to show us all the features of the various windows, where they encountered some difficulty and solutions to problems. Moral of the story, don't be quick to look at negative online reviews and have that impact your decision before conducting proper due diligence. For every 5 bad reviews there are probably 100 extremely positive reviews. That said, my experience with Feldco was 5 star. read more

Not a bad product or customer service, got new windows for the entire house and new sliding door. Mostly satisfied! The issue came after the instillation! They called a billion times for at least 6 months after instillation, I had told them they did all the work they can to my house, told them to stop calling and even blocked their number... Apparently they are desperate for business or something!!! If I had anything left for them to do, they have defiantly lost my business!! read more

Here is follow up to this review, after posting initial review and requesting the Feldco customer service to follow up on regarding my experience with them. I got two calls from the Feldco representative. One representative informed me that when you sign up for financing, you'll be signing for their project credit card, and 90% their financing is done that way. This information could have been very helpful to know prior to signing up for the project. Which, I was not informed of and I was to believed to be that my driver licence and SS information was to check my credit rating. Any case I did appreciate the follow up calls from the two supervisors on this matter, and I've reviewed the situation with them. But they said not much they can assist me on the concerns I had (opened account and collections notices sent to the Experian credit report). But they did assured me no more surprises, and the opened project credit card account that was opened in my name by Feldco, remains to be my responsibility to managed. Either, I can close it myself or wait out the card period to be self extinguish. Okay thanks for the learning experience Feldco windows, most likely I won't go with these guys on the future projects. I wanted to a post a warning to people who wants use Feldco Windows on Des Plaines, IL. I got a quote for the 14 replacement windows, and agree on the quote price. When measuring crew showed up, they inform me of additional wood work needed and the work order was for one less window. The newly quoted price much higher then original. I've cancelled the agreement. They retaliated with opening bank accounts using my name without informing me and then sent collection notice to the credit company to hurt my credit rating, even though I did not have any balance with them. It's outrages, through out the whole time of quote process the sales person never said or notify me and my wife that the no interest 12 month deferred financing is actually credit card financing through Wells Fargo. If you are unaware customer, you'll be in for surprise after the cancellation of the contract. These guys are not be trusted. read more

Buyer beware. Had all our windows replaced by Feldco in 2004. Chose them after their super aggressive salesman convinced us that Felco guarantees all their windows for the life of our home. Too bad I neglected to read the fine print. Noticed today that there is mold growing inside one of our windows, I assume due to a seal failure. Called Feldco and oh yes, they will replace the window "for free", after I pay $85 for a technician's visit and an additional $65 for labor. So my free replacement window will cost me $150? Offered to discount $20 if I paid immediately over the phone with a credit card. Bah! read more

Worst Customer Service ever! We got a quote from them for new windows. They were one of the most expensive so we went with someone else that was more affordable. And Felco kept calling. I've done business with feldco for at least 9 year and am now very disappointed. My windows are less than 2 years old and one of the screens was not installed correctly. I called to schedule a sales meeting for additional product installation and I mentioned the screen. I was told that the installers would take a look at the same time of my other installation. They came, they saw, they said to call the service department there was nothing they can do. I called and was transferred and placed on hold for 10 minutes only to be hung up on. I called back and the service center was conviniently closed. I called a few days later and was told that it would take a couple of weeks before someone could come take a look. On the day of the service I called to confirm the arrival time so that I could be home. About 30 minutes before the tech were to arrive I was called and told they would not send a technician but to read off the serial number. Really??? I took a half day off work to read you a number you should have record of or i could have read the first time I called? So I gave them the number and it will take yet another 2 weeks just to get a screen that was not installed correctly first time. It's a shame I have several other projects that I will be going to a competitor now. Had you not given me such a run around I would have been more understanding. Mistakes happen but this was excessive. read more

We bought 3 windows a couple months ago, and are happy so far. We had one that was leaking water, which was our main reason for replacing them now. Windows appear to be very good quality. we now have the nicest windows on our block! Thanks Feldco. read more

Unless you have all day to wait around (think cable company bad) for installation- DO NOT USE FELDCO! Sales was okay ( a little high pressured-just be firm in what you really need and do not need)--had to wait a week for measurements (I don't understand why sales can not be trained in this as well instead of taking work time off to have yet another person out to the house). These measurements turned out not be correct and had to take work time off AGAIN for another person out to re-measure. Finally installation day- took time off work to wait around for the 8-noon block they scheduled me in (no set time was offered or given)-then around 11:30 got a call from the contractors stating they will not be at our house unitl 2:00 PM. Irate that is is NOT what I agreed to I called the manager and explained the situation an demanded compensation for my lost work time etc. He stated that these delays are to be expected and at most he could offer me $25 gift card toward future purchases. So- after hanging up and reviewing the contract- I wait here for Feldco under a 3-4 hour delay, work time, personal time and money lost on my part as Feldco fails to perform to standard business practices and treat their customers like they care. DO NOT USE FELDCO!!! Amendment to the above comment: Jake the manager from Feldco personally came over to our house during the installation to apologize for the mix up--cudos for that!! read more

Buncha idiots. I asked the salesman why his windows were better than all the other windows Ive seen and his answer was they sell more. Like I care how many windows you sell. It seemed like an average window that was over priced. He started at 6300 but then took off money for reasons like (its tuesday, he liked me, he had another job down the street and wanted to package them together, they had a special, typical b.s.) then droped the price down to 4250. I didnt take the deal. The office called back 2 weeks later and said they have a new special thats 40% off the last price I was left with. So now we were at 2550. I didnt like the starting point of 6300 went to 2550. What if I woulda bought it at 6300? Was the salesman going to pocket all that extra money? I thought that this company was excellent from start to finish, beginning with the salesman, the office contact and the installers. In addition to which, the product is top-notch ( the salesman was very good in the demonstration of the product, and since my family was involved in manufacturing, and I purchased raw materials, namely metals and plastics, I could readily see that the product is super. An update on my situation...I ended up filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Feldco has an "F" rating with the BBB and 26 complaints in the last 12 months. Feldco called me that same day to schedule a service appointment. By some miracle, the replacement window that they had been "waiting" on for 2 months was finally ready! Funny how that works. It's amazing that it takes 2 months of headaches and wasting my time calling them when apparently all I should have done was filed a complaint. Lesson learned: Customer service is non existent at Feldco so don't waste your time calling them, just write a bad yelp review and file a complaint. It's the only way to get a response. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They do not have a close relationships with the truth. Installed windows in 2015. This winter when we noticed one of the windows was frozen on the INSIDE we noticed the latch wasn't closed. When we looked into it we realized it has never lined up and closed properly (latch doesn't line up with hole) since installation. Called for a repair appointment on their installation error and was told they'll charge 75 to come look at their mistake. When we complained we were told a service manager would call. Three days later no call. Called again told a service manager will call. Now 4 days later no call. This is a security issue as well as a frozen window issue at this point. Will not be using Feldco for windows planned in 2017. read more

We had Feldco stop by last night to estimate window replacement throughout our house. At the time of making our appt and at confirmation, I clearly stated we are in the process of gathering quotes and will not sign a contract on the spot. The sales rep showed (late), all was well until we started talking price, again we stated we were not signing (he claimed he did not get that message), the sales rep threw out 2 sets of lower prices in attempts to gain our business, then began to tell us that if we didn't sign Feldco would not bother to send another rep out or honor those discounted rates. He then advised Feldco would rather go to the house next door for the full profit than come back to ours, adding he had a family to feed, etc. At which point we told him to go to the house next door...NOW. He back pedaled a bit to save face but the damage was already done. We have a family to feed and work hard for our money as well and are not going to be pressured or insulted into making a deal. Besides that, they did not have exactly what we were looking for and their guarantee was not as good as a local company - this also upset the rep, which sent him into a heated tirade of all the things wrong with other window companies, even producing a rate quote on a competitor's document. Being a former sales rep myself, I found that to be truly distasteful all around. Another issue is that the rep stated and flashed a BBB accreditation, inviting us to check them up; we did so today, only to find that the accreditation was suspended in 05/11 with numerous complaints on file. The Feldco process requires a sales rep visit to make the sale (and they want both spouses present), another visit (7-14 days later) by someone who actually knows how to take the window measurements, then another 6-8 weeks to process the order and windows, not sure how long it takes after that to schedule the installation and actually get them installed. We might have chosen Feldco if the sales rep could have accepted our decision to think on it. We were well aware that it would cost us $500-700 more for that opportunity but he was not content to walk away with that potential sale or profit and on terms that would warrant a call back and great review. read more

I called Feldco to install 2 storm doors, front and rear. The called within a day and scheduled a visit by a salesperson. The salesman was pleasant, not pushy, knowledgeable and helpful. We wanted a more expensive door on one doorway and he did not keep pushing for us to install both doors in the expensive version, because it would have made no sense. Next, Feldco sent a measurer -- a wise and money-saving move on their part. A few weeks later, two men came out and installed the two doors in a matter of about 3 hours. The quality of their doors was apparent -- these may be a bit more, but they are going to look great 15 years from now. My inspection showed the installation to be great. Now that we see how much warmer our house is on the first floor, we realize we should have done this years ago. As you see, I can't say enough good things about Feldco. read more

The absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with. We were looking for replacement doors and windows and after some research decided to go with Feldco. The window install went as planned but after that, Feldco kind of forgot about us. (the window guys were nice--barely spoke english--and did NOT clean the window after the install) We made numerous phone calls--I'll spare you the details but, we called over 12 times--and never really got an answer as to the whereabouts of our custom door--that I thought THEY made at THEIR factory--WRONG! (The order from some other supplier! ) They finally called to schedule a door install appointment for late afternoon on a Friday. We even questioned their appointment time knowing that it would take a the better part of a day to install the door. Their deadline came and went without so much as a phone call--until 30 minutes later--and they called to cancel. I finally spoke to supervisor that claimed she wasn't aware of any of this and that there was nothing they could do. Glad I took the afternoon off to wait around. I guess I wouldn't be so mad except, we questioned them about scheduling us so late in the day and they assured us that it would be no problem. Customer service at it's absolute worst. read more
