After a 6 hour home sales pitch! I found out that the company does not normally finance more then 10,000.00. Ok. Well that would have been nice to know 6 hours ago. So fine I give a check for 2,500.00 my mom gives another check for the same and we will finance the rest. After waiting a day I find out nooooo they don't finance anything. They opened a credit card with Wells Fargo in my name! No way. So I call to cancel the order. Only to find out they cashed my check the day I gave it to them. And after I called to cancel they cashed my moms. Talk about a shady practice. Now I have to wait 10 to 12 business days to get MY money back?!?! It was the worst experience I have ever had with a company. So buyers beware! My money is held hostage so I cannot even get another company to come. Horrible practice. read more

Tom's installation team came to our house today and installed 12 new windows. They did such a GREAT job and he and the other two installers were super friendly. We love our new windows. Looks like a different house. read more

Feldco installed two screen doors and did a superior job. Everything from the sales person, measurements, interim updates, appointment scheduling and installation went off without a hitch. Wow, what a great group to work with! My doors are excellent quality and installed beautifully. I couldn't be happier with the results. Nice job Feldco! read more

The sales rep they were going to send has been a full time real estate agent for the past 12 years. Window sales is his side job. When I asked about it, they became argumentative and angry. I canceled the appointment. read more

This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. The sales person came to our home this morning and I am so angry. After his one hour sales presentation, I was ready to throw him out of my house. He was very nervy and treated me like a "little woman" from the 50's. Unwilling to give me pricing without my husband there. I told him that he had to work with me if he wanted to do business. Finally he scribbled some numbers on a pad of paper - no details - just one number. I pushed for more detail and he said he would only give the numbers to me if I was prepared to sign a contract today. Unbelievable - how could I consider the product without full disclosure of what I would be purchasing? I don't know if he took me for an idiot or what but I told him he was losing credibilty fast. I never had to work so hard to get some basic information so I could make a decision. This is obviously a very unprofessional company and I told him as much. I am prepared to purchase windows, but it most certainly won't be from Feldco. The sales guy should be fired. He represents Feldco horribly." read more

Listen up shoppers, because I have the scoop. I own an entire home of Feldco Sophia windows. (21) They leak, and they don't fit or guide well. They are a mistake. You absolutely can get similar quality for less. My installers rushed through the process so quickly, that by the time I noticed the multitude of mistakes, they had damaged or destroyed the casement along half of my windows. This was after I specifically asked them to only perform an install from the outside in. They did the opposite, and I had to call their office to get the work stopped. Months later, along with numerous arguments, they agreed to replace the casement damage with replacements that would be unfinished. I was two months into not being satisfied, and I still had a giant amount of refinishing to do on my time and with my money. Let's talk warranty. Feldco warranties you from spending any more money on their windows for a lifetime. BUT...after five years you will pay both a service call fee as well as all labor charges. That boils down to me having to pay $135 for the replacement of glass in one half of a double pane window. Really though, I just paid for the window all over again. I've left a metric ton of frustration out, but be warned. This company is not professional or ethical. Run. read more

A number of issues but major one is Full-Frame out to wall studs Window replacements were measured too small. This resulted in inside trim not fitting the window opening properly. Contacted manager w/ email and pictures hoping someone would be sent out to evaluate the error and reinstall correctly sized windows w/ correct inside trim. Day after email a feldco person phoned stating manager would be back tomorrow. No response since. Unacceptable job from measurement to installation. Lets see if you stand behind anything other than the actual window. read more

I had them come out for an estimate on replacing my front door. The door he wanted to sell me was $14,000. I told him "no". Now, Feldco calls me every couple weeks trying to sell me more stuff. I asked them to not call anymore. They said "sure". They keep calling. I told them to remove me from their list and NEVER call again and they said "I'm so sorry...we will DEFINITELY not call you again." They keep calling. Now, I tell them "YES! Please send someone over ASAP! I need 10 windows and a door!" When the guy shows up, I tell him my story and ask to be taken off the list of people who they harass. If they are going to waste my time, I'm going to waste theirs. I hate Feldco. Over priced crap and they harass you with phone calls forever. read more

My wife and I have been long-time Feldco customers, with them having installed numerous windows in our house many years ago, and so when it came time to get a new back door last year, we thought of Feldco. We explained that part of the issue with the back door is that it often got stuck because of the construction of the addition on our house, which seemed to settle and lift, depending on the season. But the sales guy assured us this wouldn't be a problem for them. Sure enough, as the seasons changed, so did the fit of the door. They came out two or three times to make adjustments. Currently, however, the door is nearly impossible to open and shut (you can only shut it if you lean your whole body into it and so we can't lock it from outside). I paid them $49 in advance for a workman to come and fix the door, having explained the problem to them over the phone and waiting two weeks for an appointment. When the guy finally came to service the door, though, he did nothing and said he'd have to have door installers come. We heard nothing after that, even though I filled out a contact form on their website asking that we get quick service, having waited two weeks already. We finally called them. They couldn't say when they would come again to fix the door because they were waiting for parts--something the guy who came to the house never mentioned and which no one ever called to tell us. The man on the phone was apologetic, but said there was nothing he could do, even though we pointed out we don't have a door we can lock and unlock from outside the house. We asked to speak to a manager. None was available but he said a manager would call in 24-48 hours. That seems like a long time to make a good customer wait but we said OK. More than 48 hours later, we still have yet to hear from ANYONE at Feldco. Maybe they've grown too fast? I don't know, but the customer service we're experiencing right now is deplorable. We will go elsewhere for our next windows and doors. read more

To Patti F. from Feldco, Thank you for your response. However, I would appreciate a contact phone number or direct email address so that we may be able to actually contact you to set up an appointment as soon as the weather allows; perhaps on or about April 1. If not, I fear that this is just another Feldco ploy to avoid any responsibility in this very serious and unfortunate matter. If possible, please supply us with your business contact information. Hello, Fellow Consumers, I'm in the process of selecting an Indiana company to put in 15 windows and have interviewed Window World and Paramount Improvements, with estimates ranging from $4,000 to $6,000. I was considering calling Feldco for an estimate, but your comments so far seem to show that you either love this company or hate it, so I'm still confused! Maybe your opinion depends on the crew that services your location? There must be a reason for the discrepancy in your opinions. It would help, if like the one reviewer, you mentioned how many windows you were buying, which grade of windows you purchased, and the purchase price. Also, does the company finance? Thanks read more

on may 13th, 2020 the rep from feldco came to our house and decided to have them do our windows we had no word from them when they were going to install the windows until we placed a call. they sent someone out on june 30th only to find the windows were not the correct size. my feeling is they were never made and they just sent someone one to look and give some excuse. it is now july 10th and we have had no communication from feldco what so ever.they have not returned any of our phone calls or emails. so i am asking for my deposit back and the work order be cancelled. i will not do business with a company who does not have it's customers best interests in mind. adios feldco. read more

I called Feldco for a free in home estimate, they promise that on the tv right? I get an email telling me one person is coming and I get someone else. Ok, maybe something happened. Then I am asked, "Where is your husband?" I explain that he couldn't make it but I assured NEAL that I will be making all the decisions just as soon as I meet with the other companies that I have scheduled for estimates. "I am afraid we will have to reschedule" I explain that I have lined up several companies to come over the next several days and that if he can't speak to me without my husband then he is choosing to not be considered for my business. He calls his boss TONY. His boss says he can stay. For the next 30 minutes he measures my windows, comments on how bad they are...duh why do you think you are here...and gives me the "these are the best windows ever" speech. Then he says we give a "deal" to those that sign with us on the first visit. I explain again that I am seeking several estimates and will make my decision according to what I feel works best for me, my budget and my house. I don't do high pressure sells. He then says, "OK I will email you the estimate in the next couple of days." WHAT? I thought people got a discount for signing on the first visit. Are you telling me that they sign without seeing a price? I assure you that is not the case. So clearly I pissed this man off and he decided that I was NOT worthy of Feldco Windows..LOL. I called Feldco back and asked if this was "normal", I knew it was not. Then I asked the guy on the phone, "Why would I choose to go with you?" The answer I got was surprising, "Ma'am that is a really good questions and I have absolutely NO answer for you" I have one...skip this estimate and move on to someone else. UPDATE: Tony did call me and tell me that NEAL must of had a bad day as this is not how they do business. He sent me the estimate via email for my consideration. read more

I called three companies for estimates and found the quality and price of Feldco was the best. They were able to install my quality window sooner than the target date. While they were installing I noticed one of my other windows needed capping and called the company to ask if they could do that as well since they had enough material. Not a problem for an affordable extra charge they were able to cap my extra window. I plan on calling Feldco back as I need more improvements to my home. Their quality and workmanship is wonderful I could find no fault. read more

We recently purchased a garage door and our experience was wonderful from beginning to end. Our salesman was Anthony Vitale. He was a pleasure to deal with. He was friendly, knowledgable, thorough, and provided excellent communication with continued follow up. We waited less than three weeks for our door from order to installation which was about half the time proposed by the other companies we contacted. Price was very reasonable. Two gentleman did the install and they did a wonderful job. When they arrived they explained what they were about to do, which I appreciated. They touched base regarding any minor changes. They included us throughout the process. I wish I was able to recognize them by name to acknowledge the great job they did. Our door looks beautiful and we are so happy with the service we received. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone! read more

The deal started out just fine and then the installers arrived. The installation crew hardly spoke English, did not introduce themselves formally, only demonstrated the windows upon my request and couldn't answer any questions I had. Later I found items outside my house were damaged during install and I was never told. Last straw was an item turned up missing from my kitchen after install. I attempted to contact my sales rep to no avail and all the company did was express their regret that my experience wasn't great. The product is an upgrade from what I had though certainly not the greatest. I would highly recommend asking about installation partners and policies before agreeing to work with Feldco. It is unfortunate that I didn't do all of my windows at once - now I am using another vendor to replace the rest. read more

We will never do business with them again. Very poor quality workmanship as well as a take-it-or-leave-it attitude when it comes to customer service. We had Feldco install a replacement sliding glass door for our sunroom and also had them install a double hung window to replace a garden window in our kitchen. The total cost for the install was around $2800 which I thought was high, but I wanted to go with the big name contractor so that we wouldn't have problems and would get quality work. Boy do I regret that decision. The double hung window is where we are VERY unhappy. First of all, the Feldco installers completely cracked all of the tile above our kitchen sink removing the garden window. They just left a 2.5' by 1' gap of missing tile and exposed exterior brick and fiberglass insulation above our kitchen sink. When I asked the "quality inspector" from Feldco that came to inspect the installers work if this is acceptable craftsmanship his response was that they don't "do" tile. I asked him if Feldco was going to fix it since they broke it and he told me no. He just took a picture of the damage and told me he was going to report it to a manager. The next problem was that the window trim is clearly out of square. I can understand construction tolerances, but when I'm standing across the room and can see at the bottom a that the trim is tight against my cabinets and at the top there is a 1/2'' gap it is UNACCEPTABLE. The "quality inspector" didn't have much to say about how bad it looked. We are relatively happy with the installation of the sliding glass door even though the install team forgot to leave us the keys to the door and we had to schedule a subsequent visit for a technician to come back and replace the door lock so they could give us a set of keys for the door. It's a real pain to have to take days off of work multiple times because of their error. Bottom line is if you have a chance to use someone else to install your windows, go with the other guys, they are probably cheaper and care more about not breaking their customers stuff. read more

I had a house in St. Charles with originals 1958 single pane windows. Every season I manually added the storm windows on a ladder outside, silicone sealed them and every winter felt the breeze THROUGH the glass. I replaced 8 windows (2 casement sliders, 6 double hung) with Feldco's Sofia series and watched the difference. It was a small house but I watched my annual heating bill drop from $1700/yr to $700/yr. The windows were super easy to clean and had zero drafts. They were the best investment I made in that house. I have moved to Hoffman Estates, and we replaced 5 windows and have not regretted it once---EXCELLENT investment, same energy-saving results--and the draft we had from around the windows is gone as well. The installation was quick and professional, and even done in the dead of winter it was perfect. I recommend Feldco to everyone I know without hesitation. read more

I contacted them via the on-line service request because the two calls that I placed went straight to voicemail. Various sales reps then called 14 times over the next three days at various times of the day, including 8am and 9:40pm calls. I again tried calling and got voice-mail. Ended up going with American Thermal Windows, answered on first call, told me name of sales rep that would be coming to the house, once ordered sales rep told me who would be calling me next. I'll post the progress on them as the work progresses. As far as FELDCO goes I'd say based on what I experienced they're either too busy or hard up for business. Hope this helps. read more

I am surprised by all of the negative reviews on Yelp. It's what had me leery at first whether to hire Feldco. But they did a fantastic job installing 21 windows in one day. The windows were of the Sophia series and they are beautiful. The front windows I had with mullions in them, while all other windows were without mullions. I wanted to maintain that look I had with the previous windows. It definitely adds to the curb appeal! The trim that was put in around the new windows was perfect as well with no flaws in the cuts. And caulking was neat and clean. We took advantage of their 50% off sale and the price couldn't be matched. We were very satisfied! We would recommend them to our neighbors and family. read more

Here to update my old review, now two windows are condensing with ice between the panes. Customer service says there's a fee for them to come out and that's natural to happen but no other window is. Feldco just installed my Sophia Series Windows, a steel door and a storm door. The service was incredible; the installation totally professional, timely and perfect. I wanted to test Feldco with half of my home and they passed the test with flying colors! Feldco made me feel very happy for this investment. read more

The customer service was great, but the salesguy turned us off. Immediately after coming into our home, he commented on how young we were (we're both 28). With the rankest breath I have ever smelt and a 'Fonz' -like hair style, he then decided to tell us about how his kids live with their mom in our city and how he doesn't venture out here much. (Way to associate w/the client who has a 2 year old running around!) We told him we were short on time and we didn't want to waste his, but he insisted on going into intimate detail about way too much...(including repeating multiple examples of installations he's done in other cities and how he improved their construction grade junky windows.) He continued to talk over us when we prodded his point because 'it was important.' Why does it seem some salespeople, when nervous or anxious, ramble on about nothing that'll ever be cared about? (Like my 'construction grade' countertops or how the worst thing about Feldco is that I'll have to spend $70.00 to get them to come back out...) My biggest complaint is that throughout the whole hour and a half sales pitch, he continued to say how he was on 'our side' and how he was 'routing for our team,' but when we told him we didn't want to spend 5k for 6 windows; he smirked, then quickly packed up and left. While packing up, he said 'well, what did you THINK you were going to spend? We're not low-end windows, you can get anyone to give you construction grade quality.' He proceeded to comment multiple times that i need to spend money to get quality ... I would have shown him the door if he were not already leaving. WHAT A WASTE OF A NIGHT!?! Isn't there anyway we can just get this stuff quoted online? Please Feldco! I don't mind having salespeople come out to finalize bids, but this guy turned me off of Feldco. I don't trust any salesperson who just needs to hear himself and cannot be diverted from his memorized bulletpoints. It means he doesn't believe in (or know) the product. Since he had been working for Feldco for 3+ years, he should be well versed. Thus, I believe you have salespeople who do not believe your in your products. This doesn't just mean bad windows, it means untrustworthy staff who are NOT there with the intention of helping the company. They are there to stay afloat. On the positive note, the product seemed good AND of high quality upon my inspection. but FELDCO, PLEASE MAKE YOUR SALESFOLK WEAR TAPE RECORDERS SO THEY CAN HEAR WHAT NINCOMPOOPS THEY SOUND LIKE AND so they can improve their pitches. read more

Tim Miller from FELDCO came out to give us an estimate for replacement windows. He was truly worth MY weight in GOLD ! He spoke TO us... not AT us. He was not pushy or pressure us into making a decision. He gave us his best price and we didn't have to beg. Beware of their replacement policy! Had 18 new windows installed five years ago and since that time have had one seal failure (large picture window), and three broken by stress. We have had them out two times to fix the problems. Each time we were charged a $50 measurement fee and $85 in labor. The glass was "under warranty"! Shouldn't it all be under warranty if that is what they are selling you on??!! When we had the picture window installed we were told that the installers would be out between 8am-10am. They called at 710 and were here 10 minutes later! If you give a window of 8-10 then at least adhere to it or tell customers its 7-10. Tried having them come out to give estimate on new front door. What a nightmare that turned out to be! First, the house and account are in my wife's name so they wouldn't even talk to me unless she gave approval! I'm the one paying for the door! Why does it matter if she okays it? Second, they want two phone numbers. We only have a cell phone and they insist on two numbers. Apparently they don't really want the business do they. After all that we unfortunately have to give this company one star for the "warranty" issues, extra charges, time issues, and sales practices. read more

I had a window and a slider door installed a few weeks ago. I had originally been tempted to use Feldco because of the $1 charge for installation. The salesman that came to the house was more than thorough and I learned so much about windows that I didn't know before. The windows came in a little after 3 weeks after we placed the order and we were told between 3 and 6 weeks. The installers were prompt, clean, quick and did a beautiful job. I felt bad because it rained the whole day they were working and they tried so hard to keep my house clean and dry! I have gotten so many compliments on my window and slider and I love them. I am looking forward to lower gas bills this winter because the slider fits so snugly. I would absolutely recommend Feldco and I will use them again when I replace more windows. You live and learn, sometimes the hard way. I could have saved a LOT of money if I had only gone with Felco in the first place!! I hired Feldco to replace my "bargain" vinyl thermopane windows by a different contractor at my apartment building. This is the third year I used Feldco to replace the "bargain" windows as they continue to fail. I found out the "bargain" brand had only a 5 year warranty after which time the "bargains" began fogging up (broken seals) and became difficult to close and lock. Moreover, the "bargain" installer is no longer in business! Each time I was impressed with Feldco's quick response, turnaround time, and professional installation. The windows look great and the tenants enjoy them. Most of all, I now have Feldco's lifetime warranty on the new windows! I will be replacing more windows in the spring and you bet I will use Feldco! read more

After having the windows installed I have had a service tech out to look at the complaints about the window and all I got in a response from him was "its in the spectrum". Two of the screens are a good 1/2 inch to small for the window. in one of the windows there is a good quarter inch gape in the outside frame, and every window the joint where the frames around the glassmeet looks horrible, like very poor workmanship. All of the "glazing" was done poorly and there is sillycone all over the glass. A full week after the Service tech came out I called back to find out what they are going to do about the problems and they said that they tried to call me but the line wasn't working, it's a business line and it was never not working, and that they ordered one new screen and were going to take one window out and reinstall it. They did not order the second screen and he knew nothing about any of the other complaints and when I asked for a manager I was told well thats why the service tech came out. Same your money and buy your windows from someone else. I have never been so disappointed in any product as I am in these windows. Gregg Stoxen read more

They probably deserve 5 stars for my experience with them, but no one walks on water. Plus, the windows just got installed so I'm unsure how they will hold up long term (I will post another review should I experience technical issues with the product). I am in Sales, responsible for millions of dollars worth of revenue so I appreciate a good sales person, at the same time, I can "smell a rat" from a mile away. My Feldco salesman (Mike M) was about 45 minutes early for the appointment. He called and asked if it was OK if he arrived early. As a sales person myself I appreciated Mike's style. He was not pushy what so ever. He was very kind and genuine. I mentioned the 0% interest offer which he was able to extend for me to 18 months (yes, no interest for 18 months). He mentioned that the lead time was 4 to 6 weeks. We bargained on the price back and forth (remember, I'm in sales!) and we came to a very nice number. I was very happy with the price comparing to what others have paid. After we closed the deal Mike sat in my house for quite some time and we chatted about life (this is normally when the sales person bolts and goes to his next appointment). He was wonderful. Moving on, the same day Feldco office called me to schedule the window measurement. On the day of the appointment, Jim (the technician) called about an hour ahead of the appointment and asked if it was OK for him to come early. He got here early and took the measurements in about an hour. No problem. To my surprise, Feldco called about 2 weeks after Jim was here saying they are ready to install my windows. REALLY!? What happened to that 4-6 week lead time? Well, it was reduced in HALF. AWESOME! My favorite part - the day of the install. Remember, a window is a window (most companies make good vinyl windows nowadays), installation means EVERYTHING. The guys showed up on time. Two brothers, about to install 14 windows by themselves. I said:"Are you sure you can do this"? He said:"No problem M'am". I gave them each $50 before they even started and said "PLEASE do a good job, I'm begging you. I don't want issues later and have to pay for a technician to come out on a warranty claim" (I was terrified of reading horrible reviews on YELP about Feldco). These installers were DYNAMITE. I got them coffee, doughnuts, served them with whatever they needed BUT they were so appreciative, SO EFFICIENT and so damn good. I asked them if they'd like lunch and they both said "No, we work through lunch". I still went out and got them sandwiches which they REALLY appreciated. They ate in 20 minutes and went right back to work. At the end of the day, they said "Can we come work for you again tomorrow??" :) The end result - my windows look fricking AWESOME! My neighbor (a handy man) called to comment on the windows and say how nice the house looks now. The caulking around my windows is SUPERB and it was tricky because I live in a historic brick cape cod built in 1937. These two guys knew their stuff, I am SO HAPPY I got them as my installers. So, my summary? Feldco gets 5 stars but for now I'll give them 4 until windows prove themselves in frigid Chicagoland weather. I am so sorry some of you had issues. Please be nice to sales people (our lives depend on making a sale) and please be nice to the installers (they work their asses off). I hope to god I don't have a warranty issue down the road, but my windows, trim and caulk look absolutely incredible. Good luck everyone. read more

I had new windows installed in 2014 and was happy with the results. I rarely open my windows in the living room chosing to use the windows in my family room. When I did open the windows in the living room I found that one window did not close properly. When I closed the window the top window came down and after this happening fir a few days I called Feldco to have someone come our to check the window. Th ed specialist came out and said that there is nothing wrong with the winfow and just to close it gently. Hmmm.... I did that and there still was a problem. So I called again and another specialist came out and told me there was nothing wrong with the window... Still problems...I was interested in new doors so Rob came out to discuss doors a d I asked him to check the window and he said they did not put a latch on the top window so he will have someone come out a THIRD time to install the latch...Ok so I told him I would think about the doors. The latch was installed and all was good. I opened the problem wkndow a couple of weeks ago and same problem.....When I called Feldco the young lady on the phone was very nice and I told her that it seems this window is defective and a "specialist" needs to come out again but they would have to charge me. What?? The office manager said they would give me a discount but since it was so long they would have to charge me to come. This has been an ongoing problem and not at all my fault so now I have a faulty window that doesn't close properly and I don't feel comfortable but I don't think I should be charged after other specialists said there was no problem. We recently bought our house with Feldco windows already installed which are fine. We have two old sliding doors that we wanted to replace. We called Feldco and they sent a sales person over for a 60-90 minute session. Right from the beginning we felt that we were being played. He quoted us the initial price which was extremely high. Then the incentives started to come in. First, it was 40% off because of a company incentive. Then when we said that it was too high for us, he took $300 off for financing. He then went outside so we could discuss it. When we still thought the price was too high he brought it down another $300. We still wanted to talk it over and email him back but the sales rep said "he didn't use email". However, what really ended it for us was when I asked a basic question and he responded with "Sweetheart..." and proceeded to tell me why I shouldn't be asking that question. Needless to say we went with another company. read more

I wanted to give Feldco ZERO stars, but the app won't allow me to. I would never NEVER recommend Feldco replacement windows to anyone. We ordered the windows on May 2, 2019 and they were installed on May 24, 2019 and that was when the hell began. The windows would not close nor lock properly. One window was warped. The top sash would fall down. The three crankout window screens would not latch. The screens had gaps in their mitre; you could see thru them to the outside. There were cheaply manufactured mechanisms that broke off in our hands off the screens. And MIND YOU the total bill for 8 replacement windows was $8,000. When they did come out to repair the windows, we were told the installers installed the windows incorrectly to begin with. The repairers were unaware of the numerous problems so they only repaired the screens (even though we did tell them about all the other issues). I have called at least twice to complain about these things and was told a manager would call me back, but no one ever has. We are still waiting over 5 weeks for the crankout window to be repaired. They were supposed to come out today, they called to say they'd be late, then they never showed up! In short, the quality is far inferior, very cheaply and poorly constructed, customer service has been horrible as we have never been able to speak to a manager (do they even exist?!). If I could remove these windows to get my $8,000 back I would in a heartbeat. If you live in the 60103 zip code I would highly recommend Woodland Windows in Roselle. read more

Feldco delivered a quality product and great installation experience! I would recommend to anyone. We had 14 windows replaced and their installers were efficient and very professional. They barely even stopped working even with the 95° heat! I would give them an A++ read more

We saved all our pennies about a year or so; then dialed up the phone 8 -6 -6 -4 - F E L D C O. Neil was the one to answer our call, Robert came out to measure the wall. Three weeks later came the call to install! Squished through the doorway the window was wide; the door jamb has gouges impossible to hide. The height was perfect, the window too narrow; the gaps were filled in with wood scraps and foam marrow. The casing too large now had to be cut; rough plywood reveal had to be covered up. After sanding and varnishing what did we see? White blotches popping out quite obviously! We sanded that plywood and varnished some more; the splotches popped out just like before. Our nice new window fully installed; the interior finish we are greatly appalled! Robert came back to practice photography, "Something like this I never did see" Two week later we were still holding tight; Neil rang us right back, said "we'll get this made right" Ed called and said No, can't be us - the problem must be with the factory ---or me! Now finishing wood is a hobby I pride in, Ed quickly retracted, the factory he'd confide in. Now here is something I'd like to know, Shouldn't that have been done weeks ago? HMMMM...two weeks more; Will a call come one day - On our costly garden window that's simply OK? Now each time into our new bath we go, we think unkind thoughts when we think of FELDCO :(. THE RESPONSE AFTER THIS POSTING WAS A CALL FROM LISA OFFERING TWO GIFT CARDS IN - WHAT I THOUGHT WAS RECOMPENSE - FOR THE DAMAGE TO MY HOUSE AS WELL AS THE DISFIGUREMENT ON MY NEW WINDOW. Lisa, I am greatly disappointed in the "Gift Cards" you sent. Not only do they not make up for the added expense of making your Feldco window look proper, it is a marketing effort to encourage us to spend even more money with a company that has not satisfactorily guaranteed their original work! My door-frame still has deep gouges that was damage made by your installers - the wood on the window still has white blotches, We had to purchase additional wood trim to cover the cheap plywood facing of the window frame, and additional wood finish in effort to make everything blend to the multi-layers of varnish used in effort to cover your (FELDCO's) spillage of glue/foam/lunch/whatever that unknown substance is that is staining my $3,000.00 window. We are most unhappy. Sincerely, Pamela NOW ANOTHER THREE WEEKS HAS COME AND GONE. I naively thought the compensation offer for my additional expense to repair my door jamb and new window was rather generous. Unfortunately when the gift cards arrived, it was not assistance in rectifying my current situation, but rather marketing discount cards for the purchase of additional product! Why I ask, should I be willing to dish out additional monies to a company who clearly does not want to make the effort to honor an original guarantee for the product they offer, nor take responsibility for damaging my home in the process of installation. I've spent $3000.00 for a window with defect, and an additional $75.00 in material plus personal time to make this window acceptable. My excitement of finally affording a window I had longed for for years has dissipated to nothing but regret each time I think of what should have been and the reality of the situation. read more

I am a new home owner and many of my friends have used Feldco in the past and have spoken great things about them. So, I called Feldco and had my windows replaced. However, after the installation one of my windows was getting stuck when I would open and close it. I wasn't sure if this was normal since they were new, so I called customer service just to ask some questions. After receiving good service from the installers, I was extremely disappointed when I received horrible customer service over the phone. I originally spoke with a woman named Shelly who was extremely rude and couldn't seem to answer my questions. She didn't sound interested in anything I was saying, didn't make me feel valued as a customer and sounded irritated....as if I was bothering her. She just kept saying "MmmHmmm" and then she transferred me to someone else after I spent time explaining my entire situation to her. I thought maybe she transferred me to the installation department, or a supervisor....but all she did was transfer me to another customer service rep!!! I had to explain my entire situation all over again. The 2nd rep helped me a little more but by this time I was just so frustrated. Although the prices at Feldco are reasonable, and my experience with the installers was good....the customer service was HORRIBLE and I truly expected more from a well known and well liked company. Yes...they're just WINDOWS, but to a new home owner they were much more. It would have been nice to feel valued and to know that my concern was heard. I receive better customer service at the dry cleaners :( read more

Totally dissatisfied! It took almost 7 months to have two entry doors installed correctly. They completely messed up the order. First, the wrong glass was in one. The door frames were the wrong color. The weather stripping was the wrong color. Some of the capping was damaged. They installed it the way it came and Said they would return soon to correct the problems. Then we had the problem of 3 no shows and no calls. To make a long, long story short, after dozens of phone calls, and several visits by people looking and taking pictures. One day they would correct this, then a couple weeks later they would fix that, and so on, and so on. We wasted about 10 days, staying in wait at home. Trying to see the owner about our problem, was like trying to get past the guard to see the Wizard! He never even called with an apology. Now there calling trying to sell us windows! GET LOST! read more
