We ordered the wings, but they had run out and only had 25 left. They replaced the other half with an order of ribs, which was a really nice fix. The Alabama and curry lime sauces were both so good. Feges BBQ (Fee-Jus) started out as a humble BBQ Trailer over 10 years ago handing out smoked meat treats to customers at bars and events. Word of mouth caught on, customer numbers grew, so they opened their first brick and mortar in Greenway Plaza in 2018 to rave reviews. After COVID settled down the Longpoint location soon followed in 2021. The Longpoint location has a well thought out buildout with plenty of seating options to choose from, and even a kid friendly play area off to the side of the restaurant. You order at the counter in the back and then wait for your order to be brought out, unlike a lot of the cafeteria line BBQ joints where they slice and serve in front of you. I ordered the 2 meat plate, brisket and pork ribs, with fried okra and pimento cheese mac n cheese as my two sides. The pork ribs were killer. Amazing brown sugar and smoke, with a perfect tug that melts away in the bite without being too fall off the bone. The brisket on the other hand, was tender and pulled apart with ease but it was dry. Maybe I just got that end of the brisket that's already been sliced up and sat drying out a touch too long. It's not going to ruin my review as I know those things do happen and I saw plenty of better looking brisket on other plates. The mac n Cheese was fantastic and the okra was also a standout. Really solid sides. They have an extensive fixins bar with kosher pickles, bread and butter pickles, jalapenos, pickled onions, homemade hot sauce, and 3 or 4 different types of BBQ sauce for those that partake. Service was very impressive. The servers who brought out our orders were bending over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed for a good lunch. They had a promotion running for the World Cup where anyone wearing a soccer jersey got a free dessert. One of my tablemates happened to be wearing her Portugal kit for the game that day, so we got to try their bread pudding which was fantastic. Later another employee brought over bottle openers that they had made for the tournament and handed them out to everyone who wanted one. Just tons of effort which really makes a difference. Got the 2 meat (sausage and moist brisket) + 2 sides (coleslaw and loaded mashed potatoes). All in all it was good, but a couple of criticisms. I felt the entire dish had an overload of salt, and this comes from someone that loves salty things. The brisket was salty, and the sausage was super-salty. Even the white (BBQ) sauce was super-salty. The cashier was friendly and got my order placed right away, but it was a slow Saturday, and for some reason, after I paid, it took a REALLY long time for my basic to-go order to come out. Now, that out of the way, I had a good experience on my takeaway order and the food was quite good (minus the salt factor). The potatoes were flavorful and the coleslaw decent as well. Nothing over the top or mindblowing, but just good, honest sides. I would rank Feges "up there" with other legendary Houston BBQ joints, but I do not have a definitive Top List of those places. If I were in the area, I would stop in again, but I am not sure I would make a beeline to just hop in my ride and go there from my batcave in Spring/North Houston. read more

I've passed Feges BBQ a few times and finally decided to stop in when a serious BBQ craving hit. I brought my 16-year-old son along for the quest. It's a walk-up, order, and pay first type of setup. The place itself is nice and roomy, and the menu was pretty easy to interpret. My kid went with the sliced brisket sandwich and a side of seasoned fries. They offer a few sausage options--hot links, mild, and paprika--and I was pretty hyped to try the hot links. Unfortunately, they were out that day, and I later realized all of their sausages are pork-based anyway, which took a little wind out of my sails. So I pivoted and ordered lean brisket and smoked turkey with sides of Charro Beans and Spicy Korean Braised Greens. The brisket was tender and flavorful, exactly what you want from good Texas BBQ. The turkey was cooked just right and had a really nice smoky flavor. The Korean braised greens definitely slapped my mouth with a good kick of spice, which I appreciated. The Charro Beans also had a little heat to them, which made them more interesting than your typical BBQ beans. One small gripe: I wish restaurants would list the added ingredients in their bean dishes. Is it pork? Beef? Something else? Sure, I could ask--and if it were a serious concern, I would--but it's still a courtesy to guests who might forget to ask and have legitimate reasons for avoiding certain meats. They also had a trio of BBQ sauces: Texas Gold (mustard-based...not my thing), Alabama White (mayo-based...what even is happening there?), and Sweet Red. I'm old-school and stuck in my ways--give me something close to a classic red sauce and I'm happy. The Sweet Red delivered and paired nicely with the brisket. My wife and I have lunch at Feges today. We have eaten their multiple times in the past and have always enjoyed it. They used to have a very nice grilled Romain salad. They no longer offer that but they do offer a couple of other salads and now they even have a bowl. My wife ordered the Tex-Mex salad and I ordered a bowl. Both of us were quite disappointed in what we received. I added turkey to my bowl and I was amazed at how little turkey was in the bowl. I'm sure they must measure it, but there is no way I had more than 3 ounces of turkey. Sadly, I do not remember how much they charged for the extra protein added to my bowl. The bowl was also supposed to have crackling on the top. There were literally three small pieces of crackling. So more disappointment. As far as my wife's salad goes, it was a big bowl of lettuce with about a half a cup of black beans, some microscopic pieces of Cotija cheese, a few tortilla strips and some cilantro lime vinaigrette that was very thin and watery. Not very many tomatoes either. Maybe we just didn't order the right things. The problem is in this market. I was looking for a best burger in Houston to try, and this place popped up several times during my search, so of course, like any normal human, we went to give it a try! And of course, like any normal Texan, we didn't only get the burger, but we got bbq too and nothing....I mean NOTHING...disappointed!!! The staff were awesome, super helpful and patient as our group of four decided what to do. We went with a family option that inlcuded Turkey, Sausage, Ribs, Wings and Brisket. It also came with 3 sides, bread and dessert! It was A LOT of food, but perfect for sharing between 4 people. The burger was definitely delicious, I see why people say it's great. The only thing I wish I had done was dipped it in ketchup to get the acidic taste that I was craving, but I was too excited to leave the table because of all the other food that was right in front of me! The turkey was a star of it's own, I'm not usually one to get turkey, ever, when I'm out and about, but this turkey slapped. It was juicy, tender, smokey, flavored beautifully. I was thoroughly surprised! The brisket and the ribs were so so so good. The meat on the ribs fell right off the bone, and was great with and without the sauce. The brisket had just the right amount of meat to fat ratio. I usually go the more lean route, but what they gave me worked just fine! The sausage I wasn't a huge fan of, but all my friends loved it. It's always a hit or miss for me, I think its just me! The sides we went with were the brussels, loaded potatoes and the mac and cheese. Came here tonight after hearing about Feges BBQ being featured in Texas Monthly, and it definitely lived up to the hype. We ordered the brisket, a link of jalapeño cheese sausage, pork ribs, Brussels sprouts, fried okra, and a salad. Honestly, these were probably the best sides I've had at a BBQ spot--the Brussels and fried okra really stood out. Personally, I really enjoyed the sausage and pork ribs the most. The sausage had great flavor and a nice kick, and the ribs were tender and well-seasoned. The brisket was solid--definitely better than your average BBQ brisket and still very enjoyable. The setup is typical BBQ style: order at the counter and seat yourself. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside, and the place was filled with families, giving it a welcoming, neighborhood feel. It's clearly a family-friendly spot. Good option for BBQ. Spacious inside with plenty of seating and a good place to watch sports on the huge projectors. Employee at the front gave great recommendations. We tried the brisket, pork spare ribs, spicy sausage, and turkey. The turkey was moist and tender with good flavor. We also really liked the spare ribs - they had a nice glaze with just the right amount of sweetness, not too overbearing. Brisket was solid, and we found the sausage a bit dry. For sides, we did the gumbo, cornbread, Mac and cheese, and brussel sprouts. Gumbo was loaded with chicken and great, and the cornbread was excellent. Mac had a good bite and flavor from the pimento cheese. Brussels had too much vinaigrette which made it too sweet and soggy, would have been great if not for that. Its a nice clean, bright space with a really welcoming vibe. staff was friendly right off the bat and kept that energy throughout the meal. I went with the two-meat, two-side plate. The pork ribs were phenomenal, a masterclass in how ribs should be cooked. Perfect texture, great flavor, just nailed it. On the flip side, the brisket was a letdown. It came out chewy and tough, more in line with bad church fundraiser brisket than what you'd expect from a spot like this. Sides were a mixed bag but interesting. The loaded mashed potatoes were straight-up delicious and easily a highlight. The barbecue dirty rice wasn't bad, just not my thing, some people might like it more than I did. Dessert absolutely saved the day. I went with the raisin rum bread pudding, and it was incredible. Rich, flavorful, and one of those desserts where you know you should stop eating, but you don't. Started initially as catering and pop-ups in 2012, Feges BBQ opened its first permanent location in 2018 in Greenway Plaza's food court. The second location opened in 2021 in this Spring Branch location, which we stopped by during a late afternoon Saturday. We found their offerings to be great, with emphasis on value and personalized service. My brother knows I really love happy hour (HH) menus, and discovered that Feges-Spring Branch is one of the few places that offers it on Saturdays. It has gotten numerous awards, including the coveted Texas Monthly 50 best BBQ joints in Texas. So even though all of us had already eaten lunch, he stopped by for dine-in during our drive back to his house in Humble. It wasn't too busy, so he had time to look at their HH menu and order a variety of things. You order and pay at the counter, and they will bring it out for you. Tori was the cashier/manager during our stay, and she was great: offering suggestions, making sure the discount for my brother's service was accounted for (the restaurant's founder is a veteran as well), and checking in on us during the meal. 20 Wings HH (a dollar a piece during happy hour) - chose three flavors of sweet bbq, sweet thai, lime red hot. My brother and nephew seemed to really enjoy them, decent size, with thick joint sticking glaze on the grilled wings. Chopped beef sandwich ($10); Pulled Pork sandwich (10): both on soft potato buns, they were both very good, little gristle, plenty of meat with smokey flavor. Bottles of coors light was $4 a piece, and went great with the meal. Pazole ($18) - this was highly recommended by Tori, so we got a large bowl. It had plenty of shredded chicken and hominy, with a very nuanced green broth. This was my favorite...couldn't finish more than half but took the rest home, and ate it while watching a movie later that night. There is a full, fresh condiment tray with sweet/hot pickles, fresh onions, pickled onions and pickled jalapenos. The choices of bbq sauces really added to the meal: reminded me of the four combo from Famous Dave's except a lot tastier. I especially liked the texas gold (tasted a lot like hot mustard sauce from Mickey D's) and the Sweet spicy vinegar sauce. Continuing my quest to try all the best BBQ in Texas, my recent quest brought me and my besties to Feges BBQ in Spring Branch. This is their main location, but they also have a small location in an office building in Greenway Plaza area. Feges has made the Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ list multiple time as well as Thrillist and other top ranking lists. It sits on a corner of a shopping strip with lots of parking. We came at opening time on a Saturday. You just never know how the lines at these popular spots will be on a weekend, but the BBQ gods were on our side as the crowd were very light. Let me tell you, the customer service was outstanding. We wanted to try a bunch of things and the nice, young gal taking our order gave us the most cost effective way to do it and we ended up getting to try more things. Throughout our meal, the staff was checking on us regularly and asked if we needed anything. Shoutout to Henry for going above and beyond the whole time. Inside is nice and spacious with alot of seating. They have a small playground outside as well as a spacious patio. The weather was perfect so we sat outside. I've had Feges on my radar for awhile for BBQ, but recently I've been seeing stuff on social media about their burger as well. So we got the Feges Burger which is a smash burger and it came with two patties, American cheese, pickles, onions and sauce. For a BBQ spot, their burger was excellent. It also came with seasoned fries which were really good. For BBQ, we ended up with some sort of family meal deal. It came with 3 meats, 3 sides and a dessert of our choice. We went with brisket, turkey, pork ribs, chili jack sausage, loaded mash potatoes, sweet + spicy sprouts and pimento mac & cheese. First off, all the meats were good. The ribs and sausage were equally my favorites. The ribs had this delicious bark on it and the meat was fall off the bone tender. The sausage had a nice kick to it. The turkey was a surprise hit. It was probably some of the best turkey I've had at a BBQ spot. It was so juicy and flavorful. The brisket to me was just ok. It was cooked just right, but it didn't wow me. Next time I will make sure to ask for some moist brisket. The sides were all so good especially the sprouts. It was nice to get a bite of something green between all the other rich food we were eating. To round out our tasting, we got an order of their smoked wings as well. We got the hot red and sweet Thai flavors. I personally liked the wings alot. I typically like a crispy, fried wing, but they achieved that crisp while smoking it as well. I do wish the flavors were just a little more pronounced. To finish off our meal, we got the PB&J chocolate cake. I'm a sucker for peanut butter flavors anything and this cake delivered on that. Based on the mixed reviews I was pleasantly surprised. Was it the best BBQ? Definitely not, but it got the job done. I was expecting the line to be outside the door but it was a steady crowd. The ambulance feels like a BBQ sports bar since they have several big screen TV's to watch the game. I decided to order their two meat plate. I wanted pork ribs but they were sold out around 12 noon, which is a little crazy because they open at 11am. So I went ahead and got the moist brisket, burnt ends and my two sides were the Mac and Cheese & bbq dirty rice. I also ordered their 10 piece wings, half red hot and half curry lime. My friend got the brisket sandwich. Let's start with the moist brisket, it was solid. Not the most tender but it wasn't dry. It was a dry rub but I wished they would've seasoned it with more salt. Brisket wasn't that fatty as I would've liked it, but I enjoyed it. The burnt ends were sweet, nicely glazed with I'm assuming it was some sort of maple syrup. Mac and Cheese was cheesy and creamy with a subtle pimento cheese flavor. I also like the noodles they used for the Mac. Dirty rice was fine but I'm not a fan of sweet dirty rice but understandable since it has bbq sauce mixed in. The wings were not bad, I think they smoke it to order. The curry lime was decent but there was no curry flavor just lime, curry could've been stronger. The red hot was not hot at all. It was mild with barely any sauce. I wouldn't order it again. My friend sandwich was fine but the bread could've been better in quality. Put that on a brioche bread and toast it with butter and you got yourself a good brisket sandwich. The bbq sauces were just sweet, I like mine spicy and tangy. The pickles were terrible, just sweet. Seems like this restaurant likes their food on the sweeter side. Overall, not bad at all. 3.5/5 stars for the food but I'll round it up to a 4 because the cashier was very nice and answered all of our questions. She made sure we were well taken care of. This is a solid Texas BBQ place. With all the local competition for good BBQ, I think this place will be around for a long time. I won't say it's the best of the best, but it stays competitive and I'll be coming back. Overall all the meats were great. I usually never give chicken or turkey a chance so I didn't go there. The brisket and sausage were great but I must say that Truth BBQ and Blood Brothers are slightly more impressive. I love their free sides like the pickles. I certainly helped myself to much of that. The paid sides like their Brussels sprouts were also quite delicious. You gotta give those a try. They are well- roasted and sweet. The service here is pretty good - not amazing, but the staff are friendly and they come by to clear your table trash often. It's somewhat self-service in that you get your own drink including refills. They do expect full tip despite the semi-self-service since they bring the food to your table. The ambiance is nice. Nothing too showy and definitely clean and decently spacious. It's also not too loud inside despite being pretty packed on a weekday for lunch. There is ample parking and lots of other restaurants and retail nearby. The Long Point / Bingle location isn't the fanciest, so just don't leave valuables in your car. The pork ribs were great and tender and seasoned nicely (would get this again) and sausage was moist and flavorful. We went to Feges on Friday night for a good friend's birthday. It's always nice when you can go to a really good bbq place and get food within 15 minutes and also find a table for a group of 10. I had the 2 meat with the brisket and ribs along with mac and cheese and sprouts. They accidentally gave me pulled pork instead of ribs and when my Fiance let them know, they gave me the ribs too but for free. She got some sort of fancy salad and we share a serving of fries with the whole table as it was huge. My friend also let me try his fried rib and it was really good. The food at Feges BBQ can be good, but the service is unbelievably frustrating. I once ordered a steak rare on steak night, and it came out well done. When I asked for it to be remade, I was told it would take at least 45 minutes to get another steak -- which made no sense. Most recently, I called to place a to-go order and was told they don't accept phone orders; you have to order online or come in person. Has anyone ever heard of a restaurant having that policy? I haven't. It's especially frustrating because the food already takes a while to come out. We came here for lunch on a Sunday. It wasn't as packed as I thought it would be. There was not even a line when we arrived. Thought that was a little odd. The staff was very nice, although I do think they took a little long to bring out the food to our table. We only ordered two sandwiches and waited like 10-15 minutes for them to come out. It wasn't even the busy and bbq food is already cooked way before serving. We ordered a Sliced Brisket Sandwich and a Chopped Brisket Sandwich. Both sandwiches were good but the sliced was definitely better and a dollar more for a reason. You get a more flavorful and juicy bite on this thicker cut of brisket. The brisket also had a beautiful smoke ring. Not that it matters but the sauces weren't anything special. They had three vinegar based bbq sauces and a sweet one. No spicy ones. I ordered take out for a gathering on July 4th. This was my first time visiting Feges BBQ. I first learned about Feges on The Texas Bucket List. I had high expectations since they made the the Texas Monthly Top 50 back in 2021. It was busy, but the wait to order wasn't too long given that it was a holiday. Brisket - I ordered 1.5 pounds. I'm not sure if they have a moist vs. lean option. If so, I was not given a choice. The brisket was good and had a nice bark, but it could have been a little more tender. It took some effort to cut it with a fork. Pulled Pork - I was able to order the last of it which was only 1/4 pound. It was good and very tender! Spicy Korean Braised Greens - I love greens and I liked the flavor, but they were way too spicy for me to enjoy. Money Cat Potatoes - These had a bit of a kick to them as well, but I liked them. BBQ Sauces - The Vinegar sauce was my favorite. The Alabama sauce was very good but extremely salty! I didn't love the Sweet BBQ. Unfortunately they ran out of mac and cheese. They were already running out of food by mid afternoon. I'm just grateful I was able to get the last of the pulled pork. The young lady at the register gave me a cup of water while I waited. I think it took about 15 minutes or so for my order to be prepared. They had two large projectors showing the Astros game so that made the wait more enjoyable. They put pickles, onions, jalapeños, and bbq sauces in the bag without me having to ask which was nice. I did have to request some bread slices though. We came here for dinner in a group of 6 and had a great time. There was plenty of seating indoor and outdoor, and there wasn't a long wait to order. Our group decided to order a lot of food to share. Brisket, ribs, and wings for the meats, and the greens, potatoes, elote, and sprouts for the sides. When we came at around 6 pm, they were out of biscuits, cornbread, and macaroni salad though. Of the meats, the ribs were perhaps my favorite, and of the sides, the potatoes were. Then, we also got frozen margaritas to go with our meals! For all that food and for the quality, it was very reasonable priced - somewhere in the ball park of $30 per person. I'm very glad we came here and would love to come back one day! read more

Portions of meat felt a bit small but still filling. 4 sauces to choose from but i wish there was a spicy version. The sweet was a bit TOO sweet. My favorite was the Texas gold. I go in approximately 8:30pm grab a 2 meat plate pork rib and moist cut brisket with the brussel sprouts and Mac n cheese! My order has 1 pork rib and 1.5 slices of lean cut brisket! I just visited the same place 2 weeks prior and ordered the same thing with 3 ribs and 2 slices of moist cut brisket! For the price I'd like to know the quantity is consistent! One day I get enough for a doggy bag and the next time I needed had to grab a light snack afterwards! Brisket was not what I orders and the ONE rib was actually good but this experience for today's prices wasn't acceptable! I'll be back only bc I can eat bbq 7 days a week! read more

This place was excellent. The burgers reminded me of a smash burger. Great seasoning, well cooked, flavorful cheese and juicy (not greasy) patties. The brisket and hot link sausage were good. I wanted the brisket to have a deeper flavor (although it was perfectly cooked). I wanted the sausage to have a smoother texture but it had an excellent bite and sexiness. Smoked Turkey was delicious and moist. I had two side dishes: The spicy greens were on point. The Mac and cheese side was delicious (and I'm not typically a fan of Mac and cheese). Fries were flavorful and well fried. I enjoyed the BBQ sauce options. The facility was inviting, clean and fun. The staff were friendly and the food came out quickly (over lunch on a Wednesday). There is an outdoor playground and seating if you like. The parking lot can get full so be patient or be willing to walk a little bit further away. Would recommend and I'll definitely be back. Delicious burgers and fries!! We've been here for BBQ and it's delicious but heard about the burger and ran here. It's a great BIG smash burger. It's pretty messy which is the only downside, might benefit asking for a piece of foil or butcher paper to wrap it in so you can hold it and eat it. Will definitely be back read more

On my Top 50 journey, Feges was lucky number 49 and what a way to wind down this epic experience of visiting the Top 50! Out the gate, I would put Feges at 4.5 stars, but was more than happy to rate it 5 for Yelp purposes. Upon walking in, it's hard to not notice how impeccably clean the establishment was and I loved the nice touch they provided by playing old western movies on the blank walls to the side of the restaurant. The guy behind the counter was as friendly as could be since there wasn't a line when I came in on Saturday 6/1/24 around noon. He said everything I ordered was right on point, stamped my passport book, and hoped I liked everything I ate. And I did. My ribs were perfect. 10/10! Perfect meat to bone ratio. Perfect bite on the rib. You could literally see my bite mark impression on the meat as if I was biting into butter. And the flavor and seasoning on the rib was spot on. My lean brisket ate a little dry but was still most certainly quite tender. The smoke flavor was also a tiny bit lacking as well. The spicy sausage was an excellent bite of food. Had great snap and the texture was exactly where it needed to be. It wasn't very spicy and that was fine but I definitely recommend it. The hidden star of the show was the Big Red pork belly burnt ends. WOW what a stunner. The burnt ends had the perfect meat to fat ratio and you could actually taste the Big Red on the meat. Really nice touch there. As far as the sides go the money cat potatoes were the star hands down. Fried nicely and tossed and in super yummy sauce. Definitely get these. Also, as far as Brussels sprouts go at bbq joints, these were really nice. Sweet and crispy, not soggy at all! If you like Brussels sprouts you should definitely try these. The Korean braised greens were definitely that. The more I eat greens the more I love them. These were piping hot and you could definitely taste the Korean flavors. I chugged the pot liquor as fast as I could. Finally, the buttermilk biscuit on its own was fine, kinda dry honestly, but with that cinnamon butter, it definitely did the trick. Honorable mention: I am not much of a sauce guy, but the sauces provided on the tabletops were absolutely delicious. I didn't eat it with my barbecue, that would be a sin. Not impressed. Ordered a 2 meat/2side plate. They were out of ribs - I got the brisket and burnt ends. Brisket was a 5/10, burnt ends were not good. Sides: pimento Mac n cheese - not good nor was the mashed potatoes. Everything seemed like it was cooked several days earlier and warmed up in a microwave. Sorry- won't be back! read more

Really tasty food but missed too many things in the togo order. Ordered 200$ worth of food today and they forgot half of the sauce, all of the bread, and both desserts. We called and the manager promised to refund the desserts so hopefully that happens. The best pork ribs in town! Brisket is done beautifully and the chili jack sausage is stellar. Do not skip the charro beans, curry lime wings, or bread pudding. The mac and cheese was a miss for me but kids will love it. Plentiful seating, space for kids to let out their energy inside and out. Servers were more than helpful but didn't over do it with the check-ins so we could enjoy our meal and conversation. Really clean too! Easily a top 5 bbq spot in Houston. read more

Can't say enough of how much I love this development, plenty of parking available and outdoor seating an play area for families. The dining room is big and has some fun art work and windows to the outside and the kitchen. There's a big offset smoker right up for us to marvel at as well. This whole plaza has really great food concepts. Walk up order counter with a chalkboard sign that has daily happy hour specials as well. The cashier gave us some tips on what are some of the best sellers thankfully. Got the brisket, pork ribs, and mild and paprika sausage as proteins. Went with the Brussel sprouts, cornbread, and French fries for sides. Unfortunately the bbq here does not keep up with the BBQ Renaissance that Houston has enjoyed over the last 5 years. To be fair, the smoke flavor is present in all the meats, and is very well represented and not overpowering. The brisket is lacking any moisture, very lean cut (which some like) that just had no fat to give it that beefy unctuousness. The pork ribs we got were on the smaller side and dried out as well, some came off the bone too easily and some didn't want to come off at all. The sausage was the best of the group, but nothing I'm coming back for. Sides were good! Crispy Brussels. Really tasty cornbread served with a honey butter that really elevates it even more. Super crunchy fries with plenty of seasoning. The frozen margarita was aslo well dressed and a nice happy hour add on for $5. My biggest gripe is the pickle bar; GET RID OF THE BREAD&BUTTER PICKLES!
