I went to this FedEx location to return a package and was met with poor customer service from the start. Despite being the only customer in the store, two employees appeared to argue over who would help me, which made it obvious there are issues among the staff at this location. The employee who eventually assisted me had a negative attitude throughout the interaction. Instead of properly inspecting the package, they shook the box, heard slight movement inside, and immediately insisted I needed to purchase a new box or extra padding. After adding significantly more padding, my husband returned with the same package a few days later and experienced the exact same issue. Employees again refused to inspect the package before rejecting it and cited a supposed policy requiring "no sound at all" and "no bends on the box," which seemed unreasonable and inconsistent with FedEx packaging guidelines. At that point, it honestly started to feel less like concern for packaging standards and more like employees were using vague interpretations of policy to pressure customers into buying additional boxes and padding materials. read more

I'd give zero stars if I could, because I almost got scammed by the lady working at the front today. I was trying to get a package shipped in a USPS package (which was the only box I had on hand, I might add), and when I went up to the front desk, the lady (in a condescending tone) told me they wouldn't take it. I asked why, and since it was due to the packaging, I couldn't get it shipped out. She then offered to get me a new box... for another $10 plus tax. She THEN told me she would charge me extra for the extra room in the box based on how much noise mine made?? I straight-up grabbed the box and walked out. I didn't catch the woman's name, but she was condescending, unprofessional, and most of all - a scammer. She clearly looks at everyone who comes in as if they're made of money. I expect a basic level of professionalism when interacting with customer service representatives, and that was not my experience with Johnathan at the FedEx Office located at 1615 E. Imperial Hwy., Brea CA 92821. I was shipping an item in a cylinder tube, and the contents were knocking. Johnathan informed me that FedEx could not accept the package in that condition, which was reasonable. I opened the tube and saw that adding a small piece of paper would resolve the issue. When I asked for a piece of discarded paper, Johnathan declined and stated that "the cameras might see me." While I understand this is a busy season, a basic willingness to assist customers with simple, reasonable requests is a core expectation in any service environment. Experiences like this influence where I choose to take my business. I hope this feedback is used to reinforce service standards and ensure more consistent customer interactions moving forward. read more

Went for notary service which is listed as a service but when we got there, they only offer it online. That's fine, we ended the service right then so not really but oh well. But the customer service person was the worst and zero help. Won't be going back there. And very much recommend finding another location. read more

This place was supposed to seal my limited edition print. However instead they've lost it and said we're sorry. We cannot find it. Utterly pathetic service and absolutely disgraceful. I tried to drop off a pre-paid return, but an employee named Jowel shook my package and claimed I had to pay $3.99 for "filler" or he wouldn't accept it. I've used FedEx for 20 years and have never heard of such a ridiculous rule. This is a blatant attempt to force unnecessary upcharges on customers. Unacceptable. What's worse is the staff's behavior; they are genuinely malicious people who are incredibly cruel and disrespectful, even toward elderly customers. My friend who is elderly needed some help sending a document. When he arrived at this location and stated what he needed he was met with flat court unfriendliness. Specifically this review is a complaint against a male Caucasian (late 20s?) Working in the late afternoon of June 19th. My elderly friend was told he needed a label and that he needed to scan the document he brought in. Apparently the employee was pretty unpleasant about this in his words and tone of voice . Things didn't improve all that much once the employee finally managed to come out from behind the counter and assist my friend. He was gruff and my friend didnt appreciate that whatsoever. I've been using Fedex (from back when they were just Kinko's) for years, mostly in December to make photocopies of my hand-drawn Christmas card to send to family and friends and to give to coworkers. I used to have a great experience with them. (The first I used was on Placentia Ave. in Fullerton - so sad that closed years ago). I've been going to the Brea location for awhile now (with the exception of last year where I went to the one closer to work in Anaheim) and it's been fine at Brea till this year - I've used the self-service color copier there for years (usually once a year). This year, they got NEW copiers that acted weird. I take an 8-1/2 x 11 board and reduce it down by 50%. It's ALWAYS put the image in one quadrant of an 8-1/2 x 11 sheet, allowing me to easily fold it into 1/4, making it the perfect size card for sending. This year, it put the image in a weird stop, closer to the middle. I tried again and it happened again. I took it up to the counter and the lady wanted to scan it (not sure why she didn't go to the copier I was using right away). She explained that they got NEW MACHINES this year and that's probably why it wasn't working the way it used to. Another lady though, did come to the copier and tried a few things and it DID work. She had to use trial and error because I'm guessing the corporation did a piss-poor job of teaching the staff what the difference / features were on the new machines. I got there 30 min. before closing (as I was at work and couldn't come earlier). If everything had worked as it always had, I could have gotten everything done in probably about 15 min. As it was, I was there till closing (when I was abruptly told to "wrap it up.") I'm giving the second star because the lady DID come over to help and that was cool. But the new machines SUCK, they are not intuitive. Last year I did had issues with the one in Anaheim in that I'd see LINES in my copies, maybe every 3rd or 4th one, which I didn't notice till I got home. Now after all of these years, I'm actually thinking of going to a different place next year. The new copiers are just horrible to work with, but we'll see. read more

FedEx is terrible . I would give them a zero if I could . My package came one month late and was charged almost the same as the item cost. Tried to speak with a supervisor and of course none were ever available . I will try to send my packages by any other means possible and the sad thing is they could care less about the customers . read more

Horrible customer service. Watched them be super rude to an elderly gentleman who was confused on how to print something. He even said "would it be okay if I asked for help if I can't get the code" and she replied " if you can't get the code there is nothing I can do for you". When I got to the counter they refused to accept the package I was shipping because it was "open". They told me I needed to put it in a box. You can tell he didn't want to by the way he slowly did other stuff before even getting to me when there were no other customers. I witnessed something very concerning. The manager, Jose, was yelling at a customer simply because they had stepped over a line on the ground. What made the situation even more confusing is that there was a rope marking the area, and the customer never crossed it. If the rope is meant to indicate the boundary, then why wasn't it placed where the manager didn't want customers to pass? Instead of calmly explaining the issue, Jose escalated the situation by raising his voice. It made me wonder how he must speak to his employees if this is how he treats customers. This kind of behavior doesn't create a welcoming environment, and it's something that should really be addressed. read more

I got to Fed Ex after rushing from work to beat their 6pm closing only to be told at 5:56 that they already shut down the machine for me to scan 1 page. Your closing time should be changed or you should post the different times you close different areas of your store. This is frustrating!!!! read more

This location was great to work with. The line was a bit long and I waited in the shipping line instead of the production line on accident so waisted a bit of time there. When I spoke to the staff they quickly helped me decide what would work best for what I needed. They were efficient and did everything I needed and the shipment arrived as expected. Unfortunately this review is a long time in the making. Shipping through FedEx is a part of my job, I have been to this location around 10 times now. Every time I come in I have anxiety because the workers make me feel like a burden for my shipments. Unfortunately my experiences with Jowel are what have really tipped me over the edge. He makes me feel like a burden for coming in and having him process my shipments. I have also had a rude experience with the manager Jose and the blonde woman who yells at customers while packaging items on the ground. As soon as I let Jowel know I needed to purchase Pak's and process some shipments, he started to complain. I explained to him that I would love to be able to process these online, but that my account discount won't apply online. He then tried to show me how on a computer, and he was also not able to apply the discount. I may start driving to locations further away just to avoid this place. I never expect super friendly service, but I would expect them to at least not be rude and make me feel bad. Audible groaning and complaining is not acceptable. I also wanted to note, this is my first 1 star review ever! Do better. read more

Joelle is the paper police here. Be sure you check your paper in with him or he'll tell at you. I asked if this was a new rule because the 4 other locations I've been to this month have never asked to check my paper. He said they a do and so rude about it. Also, their papercutter is misaligned. I am a frequent customer of Fedex office and this is the worst customer service. Was in and out quickly, the person that helped me knew exactly what I needed and he was able to quickly help me. This has to be one of the best fedex office locations I've been to. Finally, the cost to ship the item was surprisingly affordable, given fedex being premium shipping option, versus usps or ups. read more

Manager will tell you he can't take your ground package after you walk in and send you away to come back in 2 hours because they are maxed out at the moment. What's the difference with taking it and having it picked up in the next batch? Probably the most stupid operational policy I have ever heard, sending a customer away to a different store. read more

Stood there listening to a manager and employee talking about personal matters for five minutes. I'm literally a few feet away and staring at them. Because the story was sad, I tried hard to be patient and not interrupt...and I didn't. However, it was unprofessional...not once did they acknowledge that I was there. The employee facing me could see me and could see that I was waiting. Maybe try telling your customer that you'll be with them right away. Maybe finish your story later...went in today and had another employee help me with printing. Service wasn't what it used to be. Person helping was borderline rude. Looked for a FedEx Office Print & Ship Center since I was in the area and thank goodness for this location! I have been to this plaza so many times but forgot about this FedEx location, near Buca di Beppo, in the corner. I had a few items that I needed to return via FedEx and I always get a receipt for drop-off confirmation. In the corner of this plaza, make sure to to read the one-way signs as there are many. I took a bit ol' circle as I was hoping to turn one way but that one lane was one-way so had to turn around. There are a few parking spots in front that note 30 mins only, which is perfect for one to run a quick errand here. Upon entering for the first time, it was brightly light, clean, and the signs were clearly hung - noting which counter was for which service. I was in and out within a few minutes. Great customer service! If I need to utilize FedEx services in the future, and am in the area, I will most definitely return. read more

Seeing I'm not that savvy, I rented the computer, and printed out 3 estimates in 7 minutes. The price was 0.40 cents a minute and I was given 3 envelopes for each bid. Took way too long - 30 mins - to simply mail one overnite letter. Then, got charged twice in error. Called the store once I saw the two charges. They wouldn't help me and sent me off to your customer service - which I assume was in the Philippines. Spent 45 mins with them - before being told they couldn't help me and I'd have to call back on Monday. Decided to go back into the store, and they helped me get a refund. But took a long time. Multiple customers in store and about the same number of staff behind the counter - but only one or two helping anyone. Customers were not happy and it didn't feel like staff was much concerned. Manager (I think) finally came out and began to help out - but for the final ten mins I was there, he hadn't even finished with one customer. I spent $95 to send one letter overnite. I'd expect much better service for that kind of cost. Next time, I will try UPS or USPS. I'm missing the value of FedEx in this experience. Very high cost. Takes way too long to get served. Errors. Remote support that can't help. And takes way too long to get problems created by FedEx store staff corrected. What feels like a general lack of concern for the customer. This is my second time at this location. I was shipping an international package -- a gift package to a good friend in Canada. I'm not very experienced in shipping and especially with international shipments - I had no idea what it entailed and what the process looked like. Danieli was so pleasant and friendly. She explained the process, what my options were for my shipment and even showed me the packages that could be used for the shipment to ensure my gift arrived safe and sound.
