New slice shop in Bushwick with some excellent Sicilian slices. There are 4 or 5 different specialty pies, all with toppings different enough that make them worth trying. The pepperoni is the definite winner ($3.50 for a slice), but the white slice with sausage is also great. Try the regular Margherita Slice ($2.75) too for something lighter and also satisfying. They also have some other specialties like Rice Balls and Calzones too. We tried the Chicken Parm Sandwich ($8), which was not particularly good, so stick to the slices or try some of the other items if you want something different. read more

According to my cousin, this is the best pizza he has had in New York. Let me tell you about my cousin in this review! This man has been eating pizza every day since he has gotten to New York. So I have to talk about him as I write this review. He is a wild man who loves pizza. He is bearded and he is of short stature. But his list of pizza places is a tall stature. And this place was on the top of the list. Though we ate at Luke warm and mildly cold, it was still the best pizza we had the whole weekend. We ate at four different places in about a weeks time. Had this pizza 2 weeks ago and had to write a review bc my mom loved it!!!! And she's very difficult to please. We had 2 reg slices one with pepperoni. They were seasoned so well and the pepperoni had a nice bite. This pizza is worth the calories. I always tease my roommate about this being his favorite place, since we live nearby and he often would rather order pizza than cook. With that being said, I can certainly understand the appeal. Truly horrible!!! I ordered a Sicilian pie and they had to put the minimum of a whole gallon of salt. I took one bite and we threw the rest of the pie away ...Barely any sauce, the crust was rubbery and I don't know they put some type of onions under the cheese. Please stop gentrifying Brooklyn /NY pizza. I could of ordered lil Cesars and it would of been waaayyy better . I'm not sure how long this place has been around, but man, it's one of the better pizza spots in Brooklyn if you want a richly flavored (almost tingly) simply slice. One set plain. One set with pepperoni. Delicious. Neapolitan Slice. Sicilian Slice. You can't go wrong guys. I've had the best pizzas of Naples, Italy. I've had the best Chicago can offer. I've had nearly every honest "best slice" in New York. Maybe this isn't your "type", but it's great pizza. Even in the midst of COVID, the pizza was delivered warm. I tossed it in the oven real quick to get it a bit hotter. And it was delicious. Great service. Great food. They have my love. read more

I love this place. Pizza is fantastic. Arancini balls are the size of a fist and could be their own meal. Like one reviewer said below, the pizza is FANTASTIC (especially the Grandma pie) but the service is horrible. Tonight, I ordered via Seamless, which includes my primary phone number for contact. I received a call at 8:30 pm, which was on time for delivery, so I'm expecting it to be the delivery person; however, it is someone from the restaurant giving me a stern, combative talking to about how the delivery person "has been calling for 15 minutes" with no answer. I say this is impossible because I've had cellular service and my phone has been with me. In fact, I had just finished another phone call. Then, the rude restaurant employee changed his story and said it "had been two minutes of calling." Again, I said this was impossible but I would be right out. He had already hung up on me at that point. Unacceptable. I called back and received this rude individual on the other end. I asked to speak with a manager and he gave me more rude rigamarole about how one wasn't available. Finally, after some prodding, he said the manager would be back tomorrow. I plan to put a call in, but wanted to raise a warning here. Of course, when I went outside to pick up the pizza, the delivery person was on a different phone call and just handed the pizza to me and left. This will be my last order from Fazio's unless things drastically change. No pizza is worth dealing with rude people who probably don't belong in customer service. read more

My neighborhood is lacking on the food scene. So my boyfriend and I are venturing to look for hole in the wall places that are delicious! We found this cute pizza place less than a mile from us called Fazio's, and we loved it. AND I got to admit, I like this place better than Prince's Sicilian pizza. It's less oily and the pepperoni are more crispy instead of thick and chewy like Prince's. I love the breading too. The bottom was crispy and if you look on the bottom it is nicely toasted. The only reason why I didn't give it five stars was because it was a bit luke warm. It wasn't as piping hot as I would want it to be. I like my pizza hot, and the cheese pulling from the crust. I don't think the people left it in long enough, but all good. Other than that, great pizza. read more

In a spot in Brooklyn where pizza is a little bit hard to come by Fazios's is a bit of a standout. They specialize in Sicilian style pizza but they make excellent round pies also. The specialty slices are legit here. If you came expecting plain cheese and pepperoni you might be in for a surprise. The have those but so much more. Today I had two Sicilian slices, a broccoli rabe, sausage, and fresh mozzarella. Then a tomato, onion and fresh mozzarella. Both were excellent. The crust is dark and provides a good crunch when you dive in. The menu is small but what they have they do well. Its mostly a high end slice joint but they also do sandwiches, calzones, and stomboli. There are a couple of tables outside on the sidewalk. This place was phenomenal. Last night, myself and a lady friend decided to order some pizza. She was not convinced that you want to eat any, but after seeing this pie, she quickly changed her mind. The total came to $24, and arrived in approximately 45 minutes. The crust was thin, but not too thin, and cooked to perfection. The sauce...was divine. The amount of oregano sprinkled upon the pizza was literally perfect. The cheese? Delicious. I used to have a go-to spot in the area, but Fazio's has given it some serious competition. I will probably order from Fazio's again in the next week or so. I kid you not, order from here. You will not be disappointed. read more

I'm sure if you scoured every "best pizza" list you could find, Fazio's isn't going to be on it, but I say a very good argument could be made to give them one of those notable mention slots. The regular slice was good, but nothing special, your average NY slice. If I had just had that, it would be a run of the mill 3 star review. But of course, there's no possible way I could ever muster up the self control to just have one slice, which in this case worked out great, because the Sicilian slices are the real gems here, and definitely worthy of some praise. It's not your typical Sicilian slice here, I would say it's much more like focaccia bread, with sauce and cheese. Which really made for a great slice, and something relatively unique, at least for the NYC area. With the exception of a few heavy hitters (like: DiFara's, Emmy Squared and Prince Street,) I'd say Fazio's could hold it's own against pretty much any other Sicilian slice in the area. read more

Good food as always, great pizza! Love it. But delivery driver gave my sister a very stern almost inappropriate talking to in person that was slightly scary about how he can't walk up steps in building and it's "got to stop".... we order from there once a month. But that's what delivery is. That's why we tip the drivers. He was carrying on that he couldn't do it anymore. It's fine if he called and said I'm downstairs but he never did that. Obviously delivery is an issue so I'll have to change restaurants. It was very bizarre. In all fairness delivery man which is the same one every-time is elderly and overweight so I can see steps being an issue but they should probably give him a better job and give a kid the delivery job. read more

Probably the best Sicilian slice you're going to get in this neck of the woods. Nice and crispy on the bottom, reminds you of pan pizza. They sprinkle some seasoning on top that makes you think of Pizza Hut breadsticks but better quality. Good sauce to cheese ratio. Service is prompt and friendly. The space feels clean but casual, and they have seating by the windows which they open when the weather is nice. Feels very New Yorky. read more

Ordered from here once and the pizza was solid. It took a while but all around tasty and definitely seems to be the best in the area. To make this a classic Yelp review I'll talk about something else. Went to buy dough to make pizza at home - pro-tip - every pizzeria in NYC will sell you a ball of dough if you are feeling lazy but want to make your own thing. They refused to sell any dough balls because "it's the weekend," I kind of get it but kind of don't. You guys going to run out of dough if you sell 2 dough balls? If so maybe you need to reconsider your process. Also, for what it is worth, the employees were not wearing masks. Good pizza but a bummer experience with the staff, who claimed the owner had the NO DOUGH policy. Be good vibes, that's all I am saying. Won't go back or order again. read more

Santo Fazio was running his own successful Italian restaurant in the East Village when he decided he wanted to move to something simpler, where he could put all his energy into crafting simply exceptional food, and that's how Fazio's was born. We're a fast-casual Sicilian street food spot bringing Italian specialties and unrivaled Sicilian pizza to Bushwick. Established in 2016.

The desire to bring simple, yet authentic, Sicilian "Street Food" to Bushwick is what inspired Fazio's. Mr. Fazio wanted to bring back the Sicilian delights he had experienced growing up in the Arthur Avenue section of the Bronx. He approached it with a Field of Dreams mentality "Build it, and they will come!" He was right. Since his opening, the community has welcomed him with open arms, but their greatest compliments often begin with "This pizza reminds me of (insert your favorite place from childhood or youth) For Santo, it was the culmination of a dream to create the Sicilian and Neapolitan pizza he had grown up on.

Meet the Business Owner: Santo F.

Fazio's Pizzeria is the vision and creation of Santo Fazio. In his 20s, Santo traveled extensively in Italy immersing himself in Italian culture and cuisine. Ultimately, he was drawn to his ancestral roots in Sicily, specifically Palermo and Messina. It was here that Santo's passion for pizza took hold. When he returned to NY he became the pizza chef for Two Boots restaurant. He would go on to open his own Italian restaurant (Three of Cups) in the East Village and consult for numerous restaurants around the country before opening Fazio's.

I was looking for the owner or manager but thanks to this kind couple, that wasn't needed. Their blunt comments maybe embarrassed the hostess because only then did the hostess look at me rather than past me, and ask "how many..." she was ready to tell us there was no availability when I answered that we were a party of four as she looked around the dining room and gestured as if to say 'no seats'. I added that we had a reservation for 10 minutes ago. She asked my name and checked her tablet, then said "ok" and sat us at the table by the door. Once we were seated and situated, my young daughter looked up from her menu and asked me why was everybody else helped before us? She honestly didn't know. For those not familiar with having these types of conversations, let's just say that they can make even the best tasting pasta and pizza unsavory if you dwell on it. It's bad when a 7 year old notices they were "othered". Your mileage may vary, I'm sure there is more than one hostess working. Seems a bit out of place next to a deli on a residential block. You can kind of miss it if youre not paying attention. We were a party of 6 and had a 5 PM reservation. You have to pass through this dark curtain and go to the middle of the bar where the host will greet you and bring you to your seats. We were seated promptly with no wait. The restaurant is VERY small. So much so that at our table, all I had to do was reach my hand out and I would have been touching the kitchen counter. It does get a little crammed/crowded, but not in an annoying or unbearable kind of way. The vibe is actually really cozy and rustic. Very dim lighting so either whip out the flashlight on your phone or hold up one of the real candles they have on the table to read the menu. The food menu is straightforward and simple. They have an extensive wine list. I love how on the food menu, next to each dish, they tell you the region of Italy that dish gets its roots from. They have lovely dinnerware here. They brought out a foccacia bread for the table with a tomato dipping sauce. Absolutely delicious foccacia. The sauce was a tad too salty for me. I started off with the mocktail Luisa. It was passion fruit, lemon, agave, ginger beer, and mint. It was $10 and very fresh and mouthwatering! For my appetizer I had the Calamari alla griglia. Grilled calamari with guacamole and carasau bread. I've never had grilled calamari before. Only either marinara or fried. I also thought pairing it with guacamole was an interesting twist. I was so pleasantly surprised by this dish. The calamari were perfectly fork tender grilled. The guacamole went well with it. The carasau bread was more like a tortilla chip. They give you a decent amount for $24.95. That app slid down my throat effortlessly! For my entree I had the Maccheroncini alla Norma. Maccheroni with eggplant in tomato sauce with ricotta cheese. The pasta was so fresh and perfectly cooked. The sauce reminded me so much of my Calabrian grandmother's. The ricotta made it rich and creamy. Filling as well. So much so that, even though it wasn't a huge portion, I had to take home half of it because I was verging on being stuffed! My mother had the Cotoletta alla milanese. Keep in mind that if you get this chicken cutlet dish that it serves about four people, even though its for 1! HUGE portion. About 4 enormous cutlets that gave my mom 3 days of leftovers! All of the desserts were $12.95. A nice selection to choose from, but I had the classic Tiramisu. They make it here tableside. He made it with such care. Loved watching him put it all together. Let me tell you, that was the BEST Tiramisu that I've EVER had! Wow, just amazing. Very balanced, quality ingredients. The marscapone was so decadent, creamy and fresh. I could have easily taken down 2 of them! I tried some of my mother's chocolate cake. Delicious and decadent. Service throughout our dinner was above and beyond. Attentive, kind, concise and our waiter was such a cutie! Smooth sailing throughout the entire meal. We barely had to wait for anything. Amazing restaurant and staff. We ended the night with cannolis, which was a pleasant surprise to find 3 came in 1 order. One side is pistachio while the other had a coco dusting. These were again delicious but pretty filling and sweet so we could only eat one. The staff here was also very friendly and service was quick with food coming out much faster than I expected.
