Purchase a new American Standard Champion #4 toilet. Box was sealed from factory. Plumber opened…read morethe box and the Tank seal gasket was missing. I returned to the store asap and explained the situation and needed to get it resolved asap while plumbers were at my house waiting.(costly) The store Manager "Dave" immediately walked me over to the unopened boxes and removed the seal kit and kindly gave it to me. "Apologies for the inconvenience " (no he didn't reseal the box) I was able to get back home quickly for plumbers to continue the install. This could have been a VERY expensive problem if the plumbers had to stop work and if I had to return the toilet back for store inspection/return. Dave's quick CS thinking cap was spot on and correct. Thank you Dave, much appreciated. Hopefully Lowe's Corporate will acknowledge Dave for this act of common sense approach to keeping customers happy. I shall return.

Oven came in last week, delivery guys ran out of the house so fast after I had to chase them down to give them their drill and the old fridge doors they were supposed to take away. Then I unbox the oven the following week for my contractor to install and the whole bottom was smashed in, called lowes they said because it had been more than 5 days I can't get a refund or exchange, are you fing serious? ANd becuase it's been less than a year their protection plan doesn't kick in yet, they kicked me to fridgedaire (manufacturer) who tried to tell me I'd have to pay for it to be repaired, I finally convinced them to pay for all repairs. I will be charing this back since I bought a new oven not one that fell off a cargo ship and was then repaired by a handyman. Hopefully when they lose all the money on this sale it will make them learn. Also bought a vanity the door on it came in all scraped up, the box it came in was in fine condition so it's obvious it was packaged already messed up. I called them they said "oh it's another business that just sells through us so we can't send you a door" if you bring it back to a physical location we can refund you and order a new one" I explained I don't have a car that can fit it and the closes lowes is 30 miles away, they refused to do anything but give me a $50 discount on a $600 item, so I will charge this back too. AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO LOWES.

When confronted with some impossible to eradicate mold, I suddenly realized I needed a drill brush. And since my current drill is a little too expensive to risk shorting out, I needed an inexpensive drill. So I quickly turn to the Harbor Freight app and priced the purchase. I was pleasantly surprised. I had no idea you could buy a drill for 15 bucks. And I've priced drill brushes before, and the package at Harbor Freight was approximately half the price of what I expected. Now the store is meticulously labeled, making it trivially easy to find what you're looking for. Unfortunately the drills and the drills accessories occupied and inordinately large amount of space. Luckily the harbor freight app clearly listed that both items were located on aisle one. It was just a matter of scanning every item to find the ones I wanted. I was pretty astonished by the array of tools. I spotted a few items on my wish list, but I managed to refrain. All in all my trip was quick and pleasant. I had a nice little chat with the security guard who seemed very friendly and was obviously bored with the lack of crime in the store. Check out was quick and efficient except for the coupons. I needed help at the register to figure out how to clip them.

It is an interesting addition to what was clearly once a dying strip mall. We were on our way to Lowes when my husband saw this spot and wanted to stop. He found only 1/2 of what he was looking for. But the woman working there knew where the item was to be located and while I couldn't find it, I didn't mind the trip. The security guard watched my husband's newly purchased items while he joined me in the search for what he was looking for which was very nice. It's weird because after visiting the store in San Rafael ages ago and making a big purchase, my husband said that everything he bought was cheap and complained. And yet, like a lemming running to a ledge, every time we see one of these he wants to stop. I still don't know why. But, I think he's more careful about his purchases which means that he's learned something.

Over the years I have been able to count on them. This visit was to replace our trailer key that got melted last week camping. It was well, it was melted but still worked but barely. I had been to HD earlier in the day for other things and attempted to have them copy it. They couldn't. I thought well I bet Ace can.. and I was right! David spent some time on it for sure, he even tried different methods. I am happy to report I just checked the keys and they ALL 3 work! Ace is the place!
