Quality/Quantity - The good news is that we got the minimum of everything we needed. But you were out of stock on the others. The good news is that I will be back and probably be spending a lot of time and $$ in the City of Vallejo... Bad for me, good for you. Atmosphere - Consistent with the brand. See my picture for both business and holiday hours. Plenty of parking. I have also learned to park as far away as possible to minimize flat tires. Some/many Home Depots have spilled nails, screws, etc. on the floors of their parking lots. Service - Sales floor service = 6 stars!!! Almost every employee asked us if we needed help. Went out of the way to offer help and offer to walk with us. Wow, new service program...? Too bad we ended up with the least happy cashier. She was not rude or anything, but it was obvious she preferred not to be dealing with the public today... If it was not for her, this might have been a 5 star review... Price - Inexpensive, low cost leader. I don't check prices. The only places that might be less expensive are Walmart (not enough selection) or the internet (Amazon), but I want my stuff now! I went to homedepot and found the HVAC section, where a gentleman was working in the aisle. I told him what I was looking for. Ok- forget this place- I will Not shop here again- I will drive to Fairfield- or shop at Lowe's. This was ridiculous- the customer service in the front is a joke. They had two people come in and " pick up" literally 20 orders to be delivered to peoples houses. They took up the two return people and they were not able to Communicate - just show them a phone a point ? Why ? Why can't they communicate ? Meanwhile the return line went 9 deep. And we waited and waited. Meanwhile two clowns came up to the front to " talk" - the one customer service lady asked them twice to help out na felt her take care of the long line. They asked her " what ???" And ignored her. I went back there the following weekend. Monty was there along with Francisco. They both were invested in my project. At that moment, no one else was around asking for help. They were both attentive to their customers. So when someone else came around, Francisco assisted them as Monty continued to give me ideas. I told him what I was going for and he started to provide other color options. I can tell Monty is passionate about his work and loves color. I hope he gets recognized for his efforts and hard work. Came in around 11am, one of the saw machine s was down but the vertical saw was working. A super kind worker helped us cut 1 inch planks down the way we wanted on the vertical saw. Came back around 7pm SAME DAY, different worker told us he would NOT do it because it's a vertical saw. Went to the customer service, lady told me no one on the floor was COMFORTABLE ENOUGH to use the saw. The same man who told us he wouldn't cut the wood came to customer service and started yelling about how everyone keeps calling him and how he wants to quit. Was super unprofessional using cuss words under his breath while seeming to wait for someone. When speaking to him he had an attitude when he could have replied kindly on the situation with the saw.This Home Depot is sucky over all with lazy employees who need to be COMFORTABLE to do their job. read more

It was the first store we stopped in shopping for a new refrigerator, and we found the perfect refrigerator, purchased it, planned for delivery, and left the store in less than an hour. Our appliance salesperson, Loida, greeted us, helped us find the perfect refrigerator, took care of the purchase and delivery plans, educated us as needed, answered our questions, and wished us a good morning as we left. :-) read more

The big difference between a small independent hardware store vs the Home Depot, is usually in the customer service and administration. My experience with about half a dozen Home Depots over the last 2 decades says the staff at the independent hardware stores is far better trained than the staff at Home Depot or other chain hardware stores. In fact, I've had appliances delivered by Home Depot. It took three attempts. The appliance had been paid for, but the store could not find any of the records of the sale. It took close to two months, for the appliance to show up. parts were missing, and even the delivery guys could not locate the record of the sale. Usually when things are this messed up, it takes a committee. For more routine sales, like picking up a lightbulb, the Home Depot stores are usually well stocked and the staff are competent enough. However, recently I have noticed they've gotten quite surly if that you don't use the app to locate the part. With this kind of service, I might as well use Amazon. Amazon has far better selection, more information about the product, and on the rare occasions when you need to contact customer service, they are well trained and pleasant. The one exception to the unpleasant customer service, are the staff at the front registers. They've been pleasant, and eager to help. I don't understand why there is a split, but usually leaving the store is the best part of the experience. read more

I like this Home Depot because I usually order ahead of time and then pick it up curbside or in store to save me time. Curbside service is never a long wait. Staff are friendly to my puppies and always courteous. Service has definitely improved. Although the parking lot is chaotic and too clean. It needs a bit of a clean-up as there's many trash on the ground. Hope management addresses this espcially at the curbside pick-up area. read more

My experience started off sour and this started with an online purchase for delivery on 7/10/24, and to be clear it was because my online purchase that was cancelled by Home Depot (no email, no notice and no refund). I called customer service many times and they all told me different things. I finally used the text in customer service line so I would have proof of what was happening and what I would need to do to get my refund and that I would need to go in person and go to customer service and give them my order number and my refund would be waiting... Here's the thing...I used an e gift card and apparently cannot be refunded and when an order is cancelled, so your refund floats around somewhere in space between your gift card and Home Depot and no one know where it is and how to get it back. 2 hours at the store waiting for an answer. Pretty frustrating but the staff were very helpful. They didn't brush me off and were very very helpful and apologetic. Looks like there's a glitch that now needs attention (heads up if you use an e gift card). I've gotten the answer I need (for Now) and now just waiting for the response from the escalation team. Shout out to Adisa, Brianna, Rita M, Simeron, and Autumn. I know you probably get a lot of sh*t from customers on the daily, so thank you for being patient while also trying to find a resolution, all while providing excellent customer service and assistance through this weird situation. Earlier this evening (8-28-25) I came to Home Depot to buy the simplest of items for my new washer. I needed a cap for the hot water outlet, a hose for the cold water, and a snap-to-fit fitting for my kitchen faucet. After looking around the plumbing section, I asked a female employee, who happened to be working on Aisle 16, for assistance. She was terse and curt and told me that is was all "over there", pointing to another section. She could have helped me to find what I needed, but made it clear that she was annoyed with me and decided not to. I wandered around looking and finally asked for someone to call for help. A male employee arrived and was so contentious with me that I told him it was clear that he was not going to help and walked away from the conversation, stating that I would find someone else to help. He said nothing. Several minutes later I saw his name on his apron and wrote it down,: Gary L. When he saw me do this, he called after me that he had tried to help me the best that he could. Funny that he could have turned around to help me find what I needed THEN if he had wanted to, but apparently had already decided that he would not. I asked to speak to a manager. No manager. I never did find the items I was looking for. I have had numerous appliances which used the same water system and I know that they are a dime a dozen; separately and in kits. On the way out I tried to buy an item from a "Customer Service" register. The card reader indicated "card error". The cashier said, "What? No money in the account?" I paid cash and left. I could not take her name because she did not display it on her apron. I am a Senior Citizen living soley on a fixed-income pension. I, like everybody else, have had my share of bad service and usually don't write reviews either way until now. Home Depot may want to review their customer service policy with their employees to remind them that they don't really own the store; they just work there like every working slob on the planet, and that some day they will be our age too. Customer service is absent when dealing with a purchased faulty dishwasher. Called within 2 hrs of delivery for a dishwasher that would not shut off and kept beeping. Couldn't send anyone out for 5 days and said they hoped my bedroom was far enough away so as not to keep me awake. No compensation for inconvenience or stress. I had to hire a handyman to pull it out and disconnect it. Having it picked up and my acct credited. Never a Home Depot customer again read more

To be fair....although the lines at this Vallejo Home Depot are reprehensible. I have to say that after we rennovated our house and spend $$$$. I had a great experience with the customer svc people. Very helpful and lots of hustle. Returns are super easy and convenient. I have to give credit when it is due. However, the window dressing person was not very trained, whenever, my wife and I asked a question; she literally just read the pages off the same book/catalog....(I can do that) point is, I felt she was not trained or knowledgable, my wife and I figured out things FOR HER during our interactions w her. This is for online - I didn't go to any brick and mortar location. Me at 230pm - hey my wash machine delivery shows it was cancelled. Customer Service Rep- yeah the driver showed up and no one was home Me: right my delivery window is from 3-7pm CSR - yeah well they were early they got there at 150, so you'll need to reschedule for a different day but you can't do that now you'll have to call back after 3pm cause that's when they schedule. Me: That's stupid, I knew this was gonna suck I want a refund and I'll take my money somewhere else CSR (when I say say this guy gave no fucks I mean he absolutely gave no fucks) - sure thing there's a receipt for a refund coming and there will be a survey at the end of this. I spent all day cleaning out my garage, unhooking my appliance, etc and arranged my whole day around this. I ran one errand. They were an hour early with no warning and I wasn't even given an option to have them circle back since they were clearly ahead of schedule. I called a smaller local company and paid $200 more, but I got a live person and hopefully it will save me a weekend at the laundromat with two toddlers in tow because I was not prepared to go another week adjusting my dailies for Home Depot. Also. Please take better care of your staff. I've been in management a long time and the apathy I got tells me that this guy is overworked, underpaid, and hears people like me all day long. Or maybe the delivery drivers can be incentivized to keep their routes instead of being rushed along. The hour you saved on their wages is hopefully worth the sale you lost. I don't know. Not usually my go to place for plant finds but every so often they have a rare little find. Indoor plant area is small compared to other locations. The parking lot is a bit snug but never had problems finding parking. Staff is pleasant. Overall the store is clean and has your basic essentials. Personally I had a pretty great experience at this Home Depot. I was looking for some sod for a DIY doggy porch potty area. Online it said this Home Depot had it in stock. I wandered around the garden section for a while unable to find it. Eventually I asked a couple of young ladies working there. They used their phones to try to help me locate the sod. (Too bad there's very little reception here...) One girl remembered she saw a guy buying sod earlier that day. Maybe it was just my bad luck that man might have bought the last of it. So there wasn't real grass. The girls were able to direct me to the selection of artificial turf/grass. There was even a premise doggy porch potty kit available. But I figured DIY would be cheaper and give me more flexibility. Then the girls were able to flag down an employee that operates the cutter for me. I had a slightly unusual request to cut the 12'x1' into four equal sections so I could make it into a square. The man took care to measure out the turf and was able to get it done. He even taped everything together nicely for me. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and they have really good customer service! read more

Just doing some organizing and would like to keep the door open more often without letting vermin in...so took a little trip to the local HD. The staff member Cheyenne was buy but without a fuss stopped and was quite helpful. We discussed what I would need the wood for, was it for inside or outside, and size. I've always liked home depot and the knowledgeable staff that are ready to lend a hand or point you in the right direction. I'll be back for my next DIY projects. Home Depot's appliance installation is unacceptable and dangerous. Upper management is at fault for this problem because they are not providing proper oversight and corrective measures in response to numerous Temco complaints! 1. Driver adjusted the washer and dryer so that they would not ROCK, but he did not know that they both have to be LEVELED so that the clothes drums and their bearings will not be damaged by wobbling and banging during the high-speed spin and dry cycles. I offered my carpenter's level, but he also did not know that it should be checked on the three cabinet seams specified by LG, rather than incorrectly on the lids. He readjusted all the levelers to meet these requirements. 2. Driver smashed the dryer vent hose against the wall. See the attached photo. This poses a fire hazard because lint will collect prematurely at the tight bottleneck areas. It also prevents proper airflow, which can increase drying time and damage the blower. Ten years ago, Sears Delivery had provided the correct 90-degree close-quarter couplers on my old LG dryer. When I told him that it was not acceptable, he stated that he had to leave and demanded that I sign the Appliance Delivery Receipt, which I refused to do unless the problem was corrected, i.e., "Services were NOT performed." 3. Driver dented-in the coupler on the wall vent in order to make the vent duct fit. Lint now blows out into the garage through the dented gaps. 4. I received an e-mail copy of the shipping document and discovered that the driver had forged my signature and printed name. See the attached photo. 5. Temco returned a few days later, but they informed me that they could not correct the dryer vent hose problem because Home Depot does not provide them with the correct parts. However, why didn't they use Home Depot Vent Kit Model #110050, Store SKU #1005154499. So, not knowing how to correctly install a vent or requesting the correct parts is somehow Home Depot's fault? How about much better training at Temco? 6. LG requires that their brief, automated installation tests be run on the washer/dryer electronics, mechanical components, and vent. He was not aware of how to do this, which is alright because I had downloaded LG's installation manuals ahead of time, but what is troubling is that he refused to take the time to run these 5-minute acceptance tests. 7. I gave Home Depot 10-days to deliver my washer and dryer, but Temco called at the last minute to say that the driver did not report to work, so it was rescheduled for the following week. I feel sympathy for the less mechanically-inclined customers who blindly accept delivery without verifying that it had been performed correctly. Such quality issues will cause premature appliance failures and dryer fires. read more

I had to wait for help in many departments for a long time and electronics guy never showed up even though I had someone call him on the loud speaker! OMG. Never again I will show up in this location... Also the lady over the carpets were not helpful at all, she just asked if I needed any help but she actually ran away when she realized she cant get what I need and it was too much for her.
