I returned to the store asap and explained the situation and needed to get it resolved asap while plumbers were at my house waiting.(costly) The store Manager "Dave" immediately walked me over to the unopened boxes and removed the seal kit and kindly gave it to me. "Apologies for the inconvenience " (no he didn't reseal the box) I was able to get back home quickly for plumbers to continue the install. This could have been a VERY expensive problem if the plumbers had to stop work and if I had to return the toilet back for store inspection/return. Dave's quick CS thinking cap was spot on and correct. Thank you Dave, much appreciated. Hopefully Lowe's Corporate will acknowledge Dave for this act of common sense approach to keeping customers happy. I shall return.

Oven came in last week, delivery guys ran out of the house so fast after I had to chase them down to give them their drill and the old fridge doors they were supposed to take away. Then I unbox the oven the following week for my contractor to install and the whole bottom was smashed in, called lowes they said because it had been more than 5 days I can't get a refund or exchange, are you fing serious? ANd becuase it's been less than a year their protection plan doesn't kick in yet, they kicked me to fridgedaire (manufacturer) who tried to tell me I'd have to pay for it to be repaired, I finally convinced them to pay for all repairs. I will be charing this back since I bought a new oven not one that fell off a cargo ship and was then repaired by a handyman. Hopefully when they lose all the money on this sale it will make them learn. Also bought a vanity the door on it came in all scraped up, the box it came in was in fine condition so it's obvious it was packaged already messed up. I called them they said "oh it's another business that just sells through us so we can't send you a door" if you bring it back to a physical location we can refund you and order a new one" I explained I don't have a car that can fit it and the closes lowes is 30 miles away, they refused to do anything but give me a $50 discount on a $600 item, so I will charge this back too. AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO LOWES.

An hour before he was due to arrive, he canceled and said he would call me later in the day which he did not. I attempted to text him 3 times that week and he didn't respond. He called a week later and reset the job date. The day before he canceled again, and we rescheduled again. He did not show up. I sent him a text and informed him I would find another painter and to please drop off my doors. He refused to bring the doors to me, so my general contractor ended retrieving them. The painter that did my paint job was very good and one third the cost of Antonio. I do not recommend this painter.

It is very obvious from the unsatisfactory appearance that your employee lied to me and never applied the primer. He also agreed to use fiberglass tape because paper drywall tape has a tendency to bubble if not properly applied, which it has now. Moreover, the cause for drywall tape bubbling or cracking is almost always not enough mud under the tape or too much mud on top. This was not the professional job I expected.

He wanted to charge me $9,500 to paint approximately 2,000 square feet of external walls and trim on my house. That comes out to about $4.75 per foot. I got some other quotes at $2/sqft and they were a much better and more established business. I was too insulted to even attempt to negotiate down from the 2.5 times rate he had given me when others actively advertise their rate at $2/sqft and give me a fair quote to start off the negotiation. SHOP THE MARKET! UPDATE: The owner has responded, and so I will respond to him. He says that the cost of giving bad bids out to potential clients is his loss and not the client's. He is right, but not for the same reasons he gave. It's ONLY his loss when people like me report his unscrupulous business dealings on sites like Yelp. Outside of that it costs him pennies in gas to travel within the same area he is working in to go to someone's house, spend a couple of minutes making basic measurements so his estimates seem legitimate, and then comes to the home owner to get rejected at a fairly high rate I'm guessing. But there is always that one sucker out there that will make it worth it for him, so his "time and gas" is not the loss he makes it out to be. If he spends 20 minutes on 10 different houses and only 1 accepts his bid, then he spends 3 hours and gets a job that will take maybe 16 hours at most at a 2.5 times inflated price. That's a pretty good deal and that is his business model. I did indeed get better quotes, and they were from people that have a business model of quantity and quality of jobs rather than hunting around for the few suckers that are willing to pay out 2.5x the market rate! If you believe in respect, then respect your potential clients and give them a fair bid!

Not only did David arrange to have the painting contractor Beto here with a second story ladder, it all came together on short notice. By the end of the week, my vents looked like new, and I was amazed how efficiently Paintmasters handled the coordination. From contact to payment in two days. A handyman might have cost less, but knowing my contractor was insured made what PM charged a good value, imo.
