Needed to find a last minute gift for a religious event. From the outside, I would have never given a thought to stop by and check them out. The signage is outdated and the parking lot and area surrounding the business seemed sketch. When I walked in, I was welcomed in by their staff. On my day off, I decided to finally visit this shop after observing it open for awhile now. I had little expectations for a new store on Springs Road. Wow. Why did I not come sooner? Don't be fooled by the simple storefront. This store is deep and wide indoors with lots of inspirational merchandise, books, Bibles, artwork, and treasures tastefully displayed throughout the massive space. Again, wow. Cindy, the owner, warmly introduced herself to me and showed me to Bible journaling supplies to the back corner of the shop. I had to literally slow down and carefully look around. There were simply plenty of inspirational treasures and positive messages around this Christian book store. Cindy also asked about me. I love Christian book stores whenever city or town I can find them. With so many of them closing at major cities, this store is a ray of light in a long tunnel of worldly stores ---- a definite breath of Spirit-filled fresh air. I thanked Cindy for opening an amazing Christian store near my home. I bought two hand painted plaques at 40% off, two Christian books at 60 % off and regularly priced Bible journaling materials. This novel Christian store is an uplifting addition to all our regular retail shops on good ole Springs Road. I will spread the good news. This shop is a Godsend in the true sense of the word! As Mother's Day was fast approaching I found myself searching for a "brick & mortar" shop that not only had unique gifts but also had a Christian perspective within those cards & gifts! I'm so grateful that my online search led me to call Every Day Is A Gift! Cindy, the owner, greeted me with the most pleasant and welcoming voice and after she gave me a brief description of the store (as well as her testimony!) I knew that I must make the trip from Oakland to Vallejo!! Once I arrived I was welcomed in by Cindy and her staff as she took time to show me several items. I was very impressed with the wide variety of choices from beautiful sculptures to ceramics to jewelry to fridge magnets, etc. And IMO the prices are fair. For all the quality items that I purchased I know I would've spent far more in a mall gift shop! I was sooooo excited when this store first opened almost 5 years ago. Vallejo has not had a major Christian Books & Gift store for many years. It is such a blessing that this wonderful store is now in Vallejo. I met the owner Cindy Balanesi when she owned her restaurant The Good Day Cafe on Georgia Street here in Vallejo, Ca. This store has everything, Bibles, study books, biographies, devotions, daily planners, figurines, beautiful jewelry, hats, masks, tee shirts, dishes, calendars, and so many many more. Stop by. Before my church even had their own parish store, I've been longing to FIND A place that have Catholic items locally by since they closed the Hallmark store; and when I read in the newspaper that the former owner of "Good Day Cafe" (whose diner I enjoyed) was opening a Christian store, I got excited to check it out; and when I finally did, I purchase a few stuff and continue to go there to purchase more!! The staff is helpful & friendly and very polite, especially during this time of COVID-19, when asking customers to sanitize their hands and put on masks prior to you entering the store.
