Quality/Quantity - What?!?! How do I not have a review on this? Is it because the last time I shopped here was during my pre-Yelp life? Or because I am more of a loyal customer to your competitor...? Anyways, this is one of the larger Lowes. My picture does not do it justice. Atmosphere - Huge location. Also a huge lawn and garden department (I felt like I was in Carson City, NV; see other reviews). Huge parking lot. Open 6 days a week from 6am to 9pm; and on Sundays from 7am to 8pm. Service - Self service. But typically better service than their competitors. Curbside pick up available. Price - Slightly above average, but not unreasonable. Worth the better service if needed. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1921 with your 2200 locations and growing. You were #1, the largest hardware chain store in America, until 1989 when Home Depot surpassed you. Purchase a new American Standard Champion #4 toilet. Box was sealed from factory. Plumber opened the box and the Tank seal gasket was missing. I returned to the store asap and explained the situation and needed to get it resolved asap while plumbers were at my house waiting.(costly) The store Manager "Dave" immediately walked me over to the unopened boxes and removed the seal kit and kindly gave it to me. "Apologies for the inconvenience " (no he didn't reseal the box) I was able to get back home quickly for plumbers to continue the install. This could have been a VERY expensive problem if the plumbers had to stop work and if I had to return the toilet back for store inspection/return. Dave's quick CS thinking cap was spot on and correct. Thank you Dave, much appreciated. Hopefully Lowe's Corporate will acknowledge Dave for this act of common sense approach to keeping customers happy. I shall return. read more

This is by far the best experience I ever had at at a home improvement store. They were friendly. They had staff at they help me the Staff. I came there at 5 o'clock. She actually cut my wood. It's too short. I got back to the store right before two minutes. What about the clothes and Steff actually help me because I cannot have my go to sleep or nothing and I need to go for her bed and went out of his way to help me. I don't know his name. But he was very helpful. He's coming to wait outside. He rang the wood to me. It was by far the best Customer Service I've had in years than any store. Thank you so much. Absolutely horrible, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM LOWES, spent about 10k on appliances and bathroom fixtures for our new house. Oven came in last week, delivery guys ran out of the house so fast after I had to chase them down to give them their drill and the old fridge doors they were supposed to take away. Then I unbox the oven the following week for my contractor to install and the whole bottom was smashed in, called lowes they said because it had been more than 5 days I can't get a refund or exchange, are you fing serious? ANd becuase it's been less than a year their protection plan doesn't kick in yet, they kicked me to fridgedaire (manufacturer) who tried to tell me I'd have to pay for it to be repaired, I finally convinced them to pay for all repairs. I will be charing this back since I bought a new oven not one that fell off a cargo ship and was then repaired by a handyman. Hopefully when they lose all the money on this sale it will make them learn. Also bought a vanity the door on it came in all scraped up, the box it came in was in fine condition so it's obvious it was packaged already messed up. I called them they said "oh it's another business that just sells through us so we can't send you a door" if you bring it back to a physical location we can refund you and order a new one" I explained I don't have a car that can fit it and the closes lowes is 30 miles away, they refused to do anything but give me a $50 discount on a $600 item, so I will charge this back too. I wish there was a zero star for this store. This store is actually right by my house and a lot closer, but I choose to go to a different store because every time I walk into the store no one seems to work there. You can't find anyone to help you. The only person that's there is a lady watching over the self check out and one lady in returns who I believe is the manager she's very grumpy. I tried to return something with my receipt and she was questioning why I was returning it when I hadn't even opened the package and I had my receipt! I also wanted to buy a washing machine and there was no one there to help so I left. Terrible Experience - Discriminatory and Unprofessional Behavior My father had a very upsetting experience at this location on Friday. While waiting in line, an employee named Bryan let another gentleman cut in front of him with no explanation. When it was finally my father's turn, the same employee went out of his way to inspect every single screw he had, treating him with unnecessary rudeness and zero professionalism. The difference in how the two customers were treated was extremely noticeable and felt racially motivated. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and deeply disappointing. Lowes usually knows how to do business. They have a nice selection of all the things that you'd expect from a home improvement and garden center. The prices are what you expect from a large hardware store. They run some nice sales. The section of the store that gets me to come back is their garden section. It is reasonably large with a good selection of both outdoor and indoor plants. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I've purchased plants here, both full price, on sale, and on clearance. As long as you select the plants that aren't dead, they come home and thrive. No bugs, no diseases. But this trip I picked up some clearance plants and took it to the self check out register. Every single one of the plants rang up at full price. I didn't catch this until I was outside and realized what the problem was. grudgingly trudged back to the customer service desk where it became apparent that the process to correct this was lengthy and detailed. Come on Lowe's, you can do better than this. You have done better than this in the past. Three stars until you fix your process. read more

I was very disappointed this AM. Workers around but oblivious to their customers. Literally had to search and find help like we are playing a game of hide and seek. Employee on her phone (blonde lady in the back of the store with 2 other workers beside continued to talk on the phone about work scheduling) instead of offering to help a customer so I moved on... I purchased a stackable washer and dryer from Lowes that they told me would be delivered today 11/24/25 between 3:30 and 7:30. At 6:29 I received a text from the delivery service that they had just left their last appointment and were on their way to my home to make the delivery. I waited until 8pm, and called the store in Vallejo where I spoke with a person who told me that the delivery company said they had tried to call called me twice, which was a lie I had my phone literally in my hand from 3:30 to 7:30 and when I told him I never received a call he all but called me a liar. There was never a call to my phone just a text. The person at Lowes that I spoke with was very dismissive and all but called me a liar when I told him I never received a call, then offered to cancel my order, no compensation, no apology which proved to me they could care less that i had left work early and sat here for 4 hours. Lowes Is a very large company and my $1800.00 means nothing to them so my recourse is to take my business somewhere else which is what I'm doing. You get one chance to screw me and that's it. This happened to me with Home Depot last year with a fridge, which is how I ended up at Lowes where i purchased a fridge Home Depot had a better deal for the item. I have a Home Depot credit card and I went to Lowes anyway because they did the same thing. I will not be purchasing any large ticket items from Lowes again. if Lowes or Home depot gives you a window that is late in the afternoon there is a very good chance they won't show up. I went online and purchased the same washer and dryer from Airport Home Appliances and Lowes can keep theirs, oh and the product was $500.00 cheaper than Lowes too. One star review from me. I would give a trillion negative stars to just point out that this store -- this one is shit. Let's break it down: 1. I placed an order online. Received an email from Lowe's stating that it was ready. Arrived at Lowe's and discovered that the order was incomplete. I ordered nine items and only two were available. When this was pointed out to the "Lowe's employee" - she was poised and ready to decapitate me -- until I provided a simple counting method to show her the mathematical error. Then the blame was displaced. I was then told. "Oh...FedEx messed up your order". My response: "I ordered floor tiles from Lowe's. Not FedEx." 2. My wife and I waited in an aisle for 15 minutes for a "Lowe's employee" to come to an aisle to assist with locks. Mind you, my wife and I watched "Lowe's employee's" linger in a collective bunch, all in front of the cash registers ... after she had asked them four times to send someone over. When someone did come over, they asked if we needed help, then said "Oh, someone will come over. This is not my area." WTF? 3. One night, right before Lowe's was about to close, I needed more moving boxes, and there was only one "Lowe's employee" at the register. A line started to form, about four people deep, and the person at the head of the line was having some issue" that the only cashier was having trouble solving. Meanwhile, a collection of "Lowe's employee's" were having a group hug with management in front of the store. They were clapping and cheering as the store manager continued mumbling words to his preoccupied flock, and not once did the manager look up and say "Oh, there are customers waiting to purchase things. Maybe we should regroup after we take care of these customer's." -- I guess MY personal shopping expectations as a "customer" are a little too high! But I needed those boxes, so I waited roughly 20 minutes in line to purchase them. And last but not least, I'm done with Lowe's. No more for me. Back to Home Depot. It's been a great 3 weeks dancing this dance with you. Now I know why I never ever purchased from Lowe's before until this need came up. I know that I insulted nearly all of the staff, and that some of them may do their job well -- but hell -- a good number of them defied logic, and most of the people I interacted with insulted my intelligence. It's a shame that a few bad employee's can really make a store brand suck. In fact, Lowe's is not for Pro's. Lowe's Just Blows. At least this store does. read more

Lowe's service would be considered good if 'cashiering' is all a customer needs. Unfortunately, some customers need help locating stock or getting explanations and/or instructions; true "hardwares" provide that. The Lowe's in Vallejo seems to function as a warehouse with hard to locate, often phantom, stock but it has friendly cashiers who may check their computers and tell you "the item is on aisle #1 bay 11". Chances are the item is not there nor will there be an employee around to help find it. Sigh! Lowe's however has a great selection of impulse items that are usually on sale and thereby represent good values. read more

This is an updated review. I was there earlier to pick up the Valentines' kit for kids at the customer service. The "Please Wait Here" social distancing marks on the floor are meaningless. The lines were spiraling out the main entrance. There were three cashiers yet they were using the middle line (where only three guests can stand 6 feet apart) as 1 main line without clearly marking where to fall in line. Add "Form a Line" here sign and block off the rest of your lanes. I don't think it's wise since it would make it nearly impossible to wheel their huge flat carts to form a single line out of the entrance! So I wasted 10 minutes waiting for no reason. It would make sense just to simplify the pick up process for the kits at an express pick up cashier instead of waiting with people who are returning multiple items. Here's a tip...just buy your own V-day kits for kids at a different store or Amazon. Don't waste your time. read more

Do not get extra sets of keys made at the Vallejo Lowe's! They have a 3rd party vendor kiosk setup but the keys cut by that machine does not work and actually got stuck in my door almost ruining my lock! I got 3 keys made and NONE of them are cut right and do not work. When I went back to Lowe's for a refund they told me it's not their problem! It's their vendor kiosk in their store and I would not have had keys made by it had they now allowed it to be setup in their store. And nobody was in the back to make keys so me and 3 other customers were forced to used that faulty key kiosk. I'm sure none of their keys worked either! And the vendor never refunded the money either! SHAME ON YOU LOWES! Those extra keys were for my kids! Good thing I tested them before they actually needed to use them to get in the house when I'm at work! NEVER HAVE LOWES KEY YOUR KEYS! Either stand by the products and services rendered in YOUR store by vendors you allow in or don't allow shoddy vendors either shoddy products and services in where you won't even vouch for them!
