My buddy and I first heard about Grey Ducks Eats from Cellar West Artisan Ales in Longmont. We try to swing by the taproom every few months even though it's a commute from Denver. When we saw the truck would be setting up shop on Friday, we made the last minute decision to jump in the car and check it out. These guys use local, high quality ingredients, which is paired with an homage to old country cooking techniques. The menu is small, but packed with goodies and the occasional special. +Roast Beef - ($10) Smoked Mayo, Pickles, Crispy Onions, Butter and Microgreens. I don't even remember the last time I ordered a Roast Beef Sandwich. This brought me back to my childhood, though the flavors executed were above and beyond your average sandwich. The star of the show is the Millabrød bread, which was hearty and crisp. Everything paired nicely together and you won't leave hungry! The [assumed] owners were so nice and friendly. Plus, the meal was a match made in heaven with Cellar West's delicious beer! I highly suggest tracking down Grey Duck Eats or giving them a shot when you see them pop up at a local brewery in Longmont or Boulder.

Although there are a few items on the menu that sound really appealing, I'll have to try my best not to order the same thing every time. The food is easily a 10/10. Service was great too. The woman who took our order was super friendly and helped my dining companion choose between 2 dishes. Its loaded with snacks, chips, canned drinks for purchase as well as Mexican food made fresh to order. (Tasty too!) Their prices are great and def the most affordable of all the food trucks I've come across in Boulder. I also love that they usually stay parked in one area for 4+ hours, so you don't miss them. The fish was incredibly fresh and the temaki rolls were huge! Got super lucky and they had fresh Toro on the menu, so I had to get 2 Toro temaki an done scallop temaki. Both rolls were made fresh and as I said above, the fish and scallop was super fresh tasting. With 3 rolls, I was incredibly stuffed afterward. Only criticism I have is I wish the nori was more crisp and the rice was better cooked, but for the price and the fact that this was all made in a food truck, I have no complaint. The food truck schedule is on their website as well as their regular menu, though it should be noted that they have a pretty sizable menu of specials when I ordered.
