Great spot to grab a glass of wine, cocktails, or snacks, especially for happy hour. We've been…read morehere twice now and last time we had a really nice time hanging on the spacious patio. There's thankfully parking in front and around the back in lots. One of the highlights is their charcuterie boards - we ordered one last time and it was packed full of goodies: meats, cheeses, cornichons, olives, nuts, fruit, etc. Really well thought out. We did consider coming back here recently for our friend's birthday but apparently if you try to make a reservation for over 6 people you have to PAY per person - that's a little ludicrous. I understand a party of 50 and charging some fee, but to charge for a small party is a way to not get party business. I would likely come back here as it is a nice central location and has a nice patio though.

We stopped here just last night for a glass of wine after dinner at home. And the experience was…read morequite nice so I must write. The high top tables in the bar area were not cleared of the dirty dishes/plates etc. as the restaurant appeared to be understaffed at the time of our arrival. Hence, a young lady who greeted us upfront took us to the bar which we had issues with. We enjoyed looking at the menu for both food and drinks. Each side had selections of various kinds. Since we didn't need to eat, we turned our attention to the drink side where we noticed wine flights. Both red and white had had 4 different flights. And each flight comes with 3 varietals of wines. We both are more of red wine people. My daughter went with the Argentinian one; I went with the European Vacation. After comparing the two, our votes went to the European one. This definitely supersedes the South American wines in overall quality and tastes. Out of the 3 in the European one, the Spanish wine (Marques de Grinon, 'Caliza' 2020 vintage) stood out the most to us. After we had finished our flights my daughter ordered a full 6oz glass of it to fully immerse herself in the wonderful Espanol wine. The bartender, Jake, was peppy and pleasant to us. We felt bad though. He was busting his bottom to serve everyone in the bar area. Besides that young lady in the floor who occasionally came and went there was nobody else. Not sure if they were simply short staffed or they are always that way where they need to hire more staff, I hope the issue gets resolved soon. Hats off to Jake; no matter what, he was pleasant to everyone not forgetting to walk each one through the menu and promptly delivering their drinks once made.

The bartenders…read moreare always awesome, and if you go for happy hour, they will be your servers more than likely. That being said, the rest of the staff, without exception, are some of the least friendly, seemingly miserable, people. And, I don't like unhappy people handling my food. And truth be told, the more miserable the employee, the worse my food actually was. We have been going here quite a bit over the past half year, even bringing our service-oriented friends to check it out. However, I think we'll be scaling back our visits. It breaks my heart, because I truly adore Ben and the other bartenders. However, I don't like paying good money for unhappy.

The staff was warm and welcoming as well as accommodating. We sat on the patio and it was lovely. What a wonderful way to end a beautiful day at the gardens - with a full stomach and a refreshing beverage. I would definitely go back, especially when I visit the gardens as it's an easy drive (and you could also walk).

Always exceptional food, beautiful presentation, with sustainable practices, this is the place to celebrate a special occasion. The current menu, which runs through June, is the final menu by the current chef and it highlights Costa Rican cuisine. The chef and staff have gone to great lengths to showcase this Latin American dining experience. The Barramundi was by far my favorite on the menu, although that is relative among the 7-course meal. Everything we tried was knock your socks off delicious. I love the quiet dining room, with a chance to visit with others sitting near you at the chef's counter. Their fermentation program is second to none. One thing that always makes a meal memorable is the service. The Bruto team takes care of everything and knows just about everything food or drink wise. Again, I counted the kitchen staff: The ration is 1 to 2, meaning you will feel like a VIP with the personal interaction. It's not fake either; these young men and women want you to have an enjoyable and memorable time. What an impressive restaurant and food laboratory where they are always pushing themselves for tasting excellence. Bruto = passionate knowledgeable people
