Onion Rings
Jina K.

We came on a weekend evening and had no problem finding seating! We received excellent service, and our food was brought straight to our table for us! I ordered the Chili Cheese Fries not knowing how huge the portion was going to be! There was a very generous portion of fries, chili, and cheese on top. I was only able to make a small dent even with sharing it. I also tried the Onion Rings, which were very crispy. I wish there were more pieces with soft, chewy onion inside instead of the really crunchy, thin pieces. Regardless, they were good and so was the ranch! My sister enjoyed her hamburger and crispy fries. Also, not pictured is the Breakfast Burrito. I tried a little bit of it, and it was huge and really yummy. All of the food was very hot and fresh.

Medium Rare Steak Sandwich

This is a solid place. Counter service diner food. A steak sandwich combo with fries and a drink is about $20 and portions can be seem as pretty large and filling which might be easy to split and share or saved for a 1.5 or 2 meals as leftovers. You can order the steak cooked to order (like a juicy medium rare) as it's a then breakfast steak styled cut, so you don't want it overcooked where it gets dry or tough and a medium rare amplifies lower grade cuts of meat to become quite delicious and easier to chew/eat.

Good food, quick service, no complaints! Seat yourself, basic cafe style. I've been here plenty times and can't wait to return! Always order an omlette, not sure there's anything bad on the menu!

Nice breakfast spot for diner type food. Made to order and very popular with the locals. It is obviously a hometown regular's eatery. Crispy Bacon, Hashbrowns and eggs were made to order. Big servings and fresh. The club sandwich and fries were just as good. They left out the middle bread as requested and the condiments were plentiful. My only regret is not getting the pancakes. The orders I saw looked great! Plenty of seating inside. Many to go orders placed as well. You order and pick up at the counter. Ketchup and other condiments are on the table. There is parking along the side, in the back and on the street. We went on an quiet Sunday so it was not too busy Looking for a quick easy eatery this is the place!

fantastic cafe is a local el segundo business that i've been enjoying for years. it's a diner with a pretty big menu. for the price, it doesn't really disappoint. i've enjoyed their cheeseburger combo, blt, breakfast burritos, and so much more. their fries are a highlight for me. service is always friendly and quick.

Nasty old fries and chicken strips

I have been coming here since i was 14 and the service just keeps getting worse and worse. They just served me reheated fries and nasty chicken tenders and had the nerves to lie to my face about the fries.

Best Staff around..!!!

Average quality food at lower than average prices. Not usually a place to hang out. Not a first date place. Good place on a budget.

This place has the best fries. Every Sunday I go over to the darn place and order many fries. The seasoning is divine.

Drink orders were taken quickly and everyone found a delicious cocktail to begin. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and fried deviled eggs to start. Everyone loved the dip as there was hardly any left by the time I eyeballed it. That was ok though because I was focused on those eggs. I love me a devlled egg and had never tried a lightly fried one before. The quick fry does heat the entire bite up so just be mindful. It was good but I'd likely try another appetizer first. Then, we got down to the entree orders. They do offer a bistro plate that has a 4 oz filet on top of a little piece of garlic toast. It comes with a side of soup, corn chowder, and a bistro salad. I have to admit, it was a perfect size for me. The corn chowder was creamy and delicious, not too much roasted corn and just perfect amount of heavy cream ans spices. My filet was perfectly cooked, medium rare. I asked and received some creamy horseradish for it, which was delicious. The bistro salad had an Asian vinaigrette and was perfectly crunchy to pair with the filet. My peer ordered the Reuben sandwich which looked pretty amazing. Another ordered the meatloaf special on a bed of mashed with gravy which also looked incredible. We split two "butter cakes" which were so good. Yellow cake with an external crunch of sugar crystals, topped with a berry compote and whipped cream. Now, THAT was a standout among desserts. Go there. Get some. Life is too short for boring food. The staff were all incredible as well, very attentive. This place may become a "must do" while we're in town moving forward so keep it up, Nick!

It was hard to have a conversation but the burrito definitely made up for it. Super delicious and what you expect a burrito to taste like and more. The tater tots were also yummy and super crispy. YUM! The French Toast for me was underwhelming and it was cooked inconsistently with the other toast it came with ... wasn't my fav and wouldn't order again. Dry and not for me. Parking isn't my fav either, but I love the area.

After eating so many heavy meals two times a day for 4 days, wanted/needed something lighter. Started with the yogurt plate which had nice fresh fruit of apples, grapes, blackberries and bananas along with granola and honey. This was good. We also had the avocado toast - generous portions. It looked like it was one full avocado on two slices of hearty toast with green goddess dressing. Had 2 poached eggs (perfect), 2 slices of crips bacon (also perfectly crisp) and a side of fruit - this had the same as the yogurt plate but also had figs and plums!. The french omelette is traditional, delicate, simple and delicious. The side salad is quintessential French - greens with a light dressing. It also had the same side of fruit. Lovely way to start the day!

From the moment we walked in, the vibrant, rustic-chic atmosphere set the perfect tone for a memorable evening out with a group. The food was phenomenal--every dish was bursting with flavor, creative, and perfectly prepared for sharing. However, what truly made the night special for us was our waitress, Angel. She provided top-notch hospitality from start to finish. Angel was incredibly warm, attentive to our whole table, and highly knowledgeable about the menu, guiding us toward some fantastic choices. Her friendly energy completely elevated our dining experience.Between the delicious food, the great beachside vibes, and Angel's exceptional service, this was easily one of the best meals of our trip. The place is really cute, clean and just a little upscale - great for locals and visitors alike. As we seated, we ordered our drinks. They were all great and quickly served. They do know how to make a nice, dirty martini. We started with the house made focaccia and cheddar biscuits. That focaccia was warm, light and delicious with butter. Everyone loved it. Then, the biscuits showed up and stole the show. Order the biscuits. I ordered the sea scallops dish, very tasty and light. The other standout on the table was the Monday night special of fried chicken. My peer and boss split that dish and it was plenty. Half of a chicken, perfectly battered and fried! For dessert, we all shared the cheesecake and budino. Very cute place for brunch events as well. All of the staff were very good and multiple people helped serve the table. Go there, get some. Life is too short for boring food.

The food was good, although nothing particularly outstanding. The desserts were enjoyable, and the pizzas were prepared well. While I wouldn't rank the pizza among the best I've had, it was definitely respectable. Overall, the food was satisfying, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for a casual meal. Where this restaurant really shines is its atmosphere and outdoor setting. The location is beautiful, and the exterior is incredibly inviting. The outdoor dining area features decorative umbrellas or shade canopies suspended overhead, intertwined with string lighting and surrounded by beautiful climbing vines. The combination creates a charming, relaxing environment that really adds to the dining experience. I can only imagine how nice it looks in the evening when all the lights are on. While the food may not blow you away, the ambiance certainly makes this restaurant worth visiting. It's a great spot to enjoy a meal, relax, and appreciate the surroundings. Overall, a solid restaurant with decent food, enjoyable desserts, respectable pizza, and an atmosphere that's probably the real star of the show. I'd recommend giving it a try!

The roti was flaky! Strawberry bingsoo - had more syrup than I'm used to for bingsoo. Otherwise my favorite dish I tried here. It's their prerogative, but I think this place would do better with a more focused menu. Based on the other reviews, there's clearly some star dishes people routinely order so it might be cost effective for them to pare down whatever isn't doing as well.
