Other than the great pizza some of our other favorite dishes are: The Chicken Piccata with linguini fini, lemon, capers, all in a great in a lemon cream sauce. Their Cedar Plank Salmon, which is North Atlantic salmon roasted on a cedar plank in a hearth oven with smoked paprika and lime. It comes with white corn and spinach succotash topped with Feta. Another must try is their Bolognese Spaghetti with Bolognese sauce made with beef, pork, red wine, and fresh scallions. We love their Garlic Cream Fettuccine with fresh Italian parsley. You can add chicken, shrimp or both if you want. Another great dish is their Tomato Basil Spaghetti with sautéed garlic and fresh basil. My grandson loves their Mac 'N' Cheese. Came here with some fam with some major collective appetites and then BOOM! I had to do a double take as I thought I was instantly being transported back in CPK time! Was that Aris, originally from CPK in Marina del Rey? But they had closed years ago.... At its height, that location was something special, and when I tell you they had a bona fide list of high-end CSA's (customer service All Stars) who gave impeccable service, I wouldn't be exaggerating! There was server Boon (from Thailand), server-manager Chris Keith (a local), greeter Therez, and the list goes on and on. Well guess what? We had the worst dining experience at CPK last night. We arrived before 5 pm and it took more than 2-1/2 hours to leave after being seated. This was not fine dining, so we felt it was unacceptable to wait so long for our orders to be taken, bread to be served, meals to get to our table. There was staff walking back and forth, but it looks like the kitchen was backed up. Seems like poor planning on the part of management for the holiday shopping season. I ordered spaghetti bolognese which used to be good. Last night's dish had overcooked spaghetti and watery sauce under it. I asked the waiter if there was any sauce on it and he said there was sauce. I didn't want to wait any longer so I just ate some and left the rest. My husband's salmon piccata was ok. My granddaughter ordered a kid's pasta with meat sauce, and she was looking for the sauce too. My husband ordered a mango ice tea, which was watered down without any flavor. To management, please be sure to tell your wait staff to brush their teeth if they deal with the public. My recent visit to what is usually my favorite pizza spot was a bit disappointing due to some service and quality issues. The service was incredibly slow and our server seemed thoroughly confused as he came to ask for our order twice as he had forgotten to put in the order the first time. We also had to send back our pizza because it arrived ice cold, so it had to be sent back to the kitchen to be reheated. Adding to the already not great experience was that our salad was very lacking in flavor and in freshness. I typically enjoy the atmosphere and food here but with the cold main dish, the sad salad, the poor service made the entire experience feel like a major letdown. You know I actually expected a higher star rating for CPK. But honestly I have to agree. We hadn't been to cpk in about a year or so and I feel like they have completely fallen off when it comes to taste and ingredients. Let's start with our server Charlie. If yelp allowed us to rate servers I would give him 5 plus stars for sure. Extremely friendly, and attentive while busy at 10pm on a friday night. So we ordered their famous bbq chicken pizza, and while the crust was great we found it a bit bland. The ingredients tasted a bit stale for some reason. Which is weird cuz we've never had that issue. Now the spinach dip was a complete fail. Not only was it cold in the middle when we got it but we can tell that's it's not made fresh. It's nuked in the microwave for sure. Don't order the spinach dip skip that and get something else. Charlie even took it back to kitchen and had them reheat it. So thank you Charlie however we wouldn't recommend it. It was loud in the dining room at 10 pm so I don't think it's a quiet place to eat so keep that in mind, lol. Maybe weekday daytime hours are better. All in all it is what it is at this point. After a 35 minute wait and seeing that tables were open, my group and I left. The same hostess saw us leave and I just shook my head. The moment I got to my car to go elsewhere, I get a message that my table was ready. I still decided to go elsewhere. I haven't been to CPK in over 10 years and after dinner on Sunday, I feel like I should go back. There's a parking garage right next to CPK, and it's free. We were seated pretty quickly and we sat outside. It was a bit chilly that night but there's heaters above and we never felt cold throughout dinner. We got mexican corn for the starter, which unfortunately, came out with our entrees but it wasn't the end of the world. The food was great, I got the garlic cream pasta with chicken. The chicken pieces were cut a lot smaller than I was expecting, I was hoping for some bigger pieces, but that's my only complaint about the dish. My boyfriend and I shared the churro dessert, which I highly recommend. It was delicious. I want to give a huge shout out to our waitress, I think her name was Joanna. She was absolutely amazing. I need to give 5 outstanding stars to bar area server, Charlie. His customer service was all thumbs up. He handled the bar area mostly by himself along with the help from a gal server idk her name. Most of the time when I dine in, I like sitting at the bar area being able to see everything. And of course no waiting but straight to ordering and eating. Charlie is by far the best customer service I've ever encountered here. Always very sweet and polite Manager Molly has done a great job in hiring him from the Redondo Beach branch to help bring him over to this biggest CPK branch ever in the whole USA in Manhattan Beach. From start to during to finish of all my dishes and mocktail drinks here, Charlie was not only diligent, polite, respectful, professional, genuine, and all around superb with his cheery manner and service, he was such a gentleman. You can tell he's been raised well and is great at his job. Anyone who has Charlie on their team, is such a blessing. Manager Mike is real nice and polite too. Love that he is helpful especially in accommodating my special request with my special pasta dish I've had for soooo many years of ten plus years. I have been a regular at this location for several years, today I saw a lady bring her pet inside to the dining area where three employees Liz, Ken and another (curly hair woman not in uniform) proceeded to pet and touch the dog on several occasions and then went on about their day to day business without washing their hands. Absolutely disgusting, Liz proceeded to tend to the bar and made drinks without washing her hands and I saw Ken go back to the area where the host is and touch stuff again without washing his hands. Going to the Manhattan Beach location here at The Village, I thought service would be much better given how nice this area is. Our server's name was Jessica and from the get go she was neither warm nor friendly. The first strong negative reaction from her came out when we asked about allergies. I asked multiple times but she didn't want to be bothered with listing them out. It didn't seem like she cared or took them seriously at all. Then she served water to our table and mine was coincidentally (or possibly intentionally lol) left out. We put up with the attitude a bit longer but eventually requested a different server since we didn't want to risk not being able to eat at all. Thankfully management was helpful with that request. Unfortunately the above experience did negatively affect the ambiance we felt here. As for food, we got a kids meal and a regular pizza with way too much arugula, so taste wise wasn't very satisfied. I remember it being better with all of these aspects before but again it's been a while. Likely won't be coming back again anytime soon. read more

CPK is one of my favorite places to go to happy hour in Manhattan Village as they have lots of delicious food items along with good deals for drinks. I always order the Buffalo chicken bites, which is packed with heat but at the same time delivered a good umami flavor because of the blue cheese crumbles and ranch drizzle underneath, I had the dynamite shrimp for the first time and was shocked to find it delicious especially at a place that focuses on pizza dishes. The shrimp had the right amount of spice and tangyness to it, I had to keep coming back for more. One dish that I particularly didn't enjoy was the spinach artichoke dip, it didn't seem to have as much cheese as other places which I I was shocked to taste because I would think a place like this would amp up the cheese levels. I don't know why this place has so many negative reviews regarding its service, it's bound to be a busy place because a lot of people do come here to eat so I normally understand that there would be a wait sometimes, that happened to me today towards the end of my meal where I couldn't find my waitress to close out the bill but during the actual meal she kept the drinks coming and filled up and made sure everything tasted well with our meal. Overall this CPK has been very consistent with the food and I haven't had any issues with the services and I'm thankful for that. read more

What more can be said. The food is decent, at a good price, and the atmosphere is quite nice and modern. We enjoy coming here.

The soup and pizza were DELICIOUS. The only downside was the churro swirl, a bit odd that it didn't have sugar as any normal churro would have. The crust seemed thin and the inside was a bit empty. Would recommend getting a different dessert. The service was great! The only downside being the server took quite a while to get back to us for the bill when it didn't seem that busy or packed at the time. We couldn't really call for the server because they were not passing by our table at all. I'll definitely go back to try other pizzas and such. 4.5/5 read more

Parking is nice but I rode my bike this time. Not a lot of places to lock up my bike. I went on Veterans Day so it was a little crowded at the bar. The bartender was busy but she was pleasant. My other half got the club pizza. Now I was confused when I heard that, what is a club pizza? Food: CPK offers an array of different food/beverage options so it maintains a good variety. The food and beverages have some uncommon combinations which makes it a better than your average sit down restaurant. The pizza is the main item to judge by and CPK makes a good pizza that meets or exceeds the baseline. A base pepperoni pizza is really pretty good and maintains a great sauce/dough/crust/cheese/meat ratio. I think the salads are better than the pastas and overall the food is good. Service: I had a take out experience and not a sit down experience so I can only say it was good and I had no problems. Ambiance: CPK has a curated look and this location maintains it. I recently tried their New Crispy Chinese Dumpling Salad and it was amazing -I'll definitely be ordering it again as it pairs perfectly with a pizza as a side salad. The ingredients are fresh and healthy - the dumplings and the yummy honey miso salad dressing ties everything together beautifully.
