Their fries are fabulous too... but watch the calories as they are fried in peanut oil! The best part of this brand is their toppings! We have been coming here over the years. We always come here for their fries and (peanuts lol). The workers here were very nice and attentive. They greeted us upon arrival and they were ready to take our order. The portion of their small fries is enough for me as I am small, but for the price, I think it's still a small portion. The stupidity of this place. It is completely empty, not surprised why after walking in. I already have had their food before (Five Guys in general) and didnt care for it but my daughter was sick and wanted fries so I thought I would oblige. I tried to place an over the phone order for three burgers, three shakes, and three fries. Since my order exceeded $60 the manager at the time got on the phone and told me I had to go online or to the app to place my order. I have placed the same order at this location plenty of times as well as the one in Redondo Beach and have never been told this. I was practically in their parking lot so I could've gone in but since they were making this hard for me I told the guy Nevermind I'll just go to in-n-out. Their loss because my order was over $60. Came to in-n-out and spent $43 so I saved $17 plus they lost the tip I always give. What's the lesson here guys?!? You're overpriced cause I got the same thing two blocks down at in-n-out. Came to quench a craving for a burger and was sadly dissatisfied. The staff is welcoming and the food is decent in taste quality are the only good things I can say at this time. The prices are just outrageous! You really need to order your burger with EVERYTHING, or "all the way" as they call it, to make it even remotely worth it. Doing the math, it would have cost me around the same to make 8-10 burgers (with fries) at home. My boyfriend's "Bacon Burger" came with one tiny, and I do mean TINY, strip of bacon and a few measly shreds of lettuce. I understand it's a business and they need to profit by cutting corners with their customers and their satisfaction but this was just ridiculous. This was my first time at a Five Guys and I've heard a lot of great things so my expectations were pretty high! Well they more then met them plus the service was great!! The burger was one of those 'you can't put down because it will fall apart it's so juicy burgers' and I mean that in a good way :) I also love that the topping options are all included - I got grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, tomato & mayo! Yum!! The 'small' burger is plenty big, that just means one patty instead of two. Tip #1: There are free peanuts by the entrance, just grab a cup! The fries were sooooooo good! Nice and soft but firm (I hate hard fries) and seasoned just right with a cajun flavor. Plus the portions are healthy. By which I mean large not good for you LOL Tip #2: They have those 'million flavor' soda machines so try something new :) The service was great, when I told him it was my first time he went over the whole menu and even things you could order off menu. Had a pretty disappointing meal for lunch today. Got the same items I usually get but the fries and burger were bland. What's funny is that I told the cashier I liked my fries with extra seasoning and he commented that they are already pretty heavily seasoned so I got them regular. A few minutes later I was served some of the blandest fries ever. Maybe it was a bad April fool's joke. Either way I was short on time so I just finished my meh meal and left. Staff could be seen/heard joking around in the back and when you are served good food it's seen as them being outgoing and fun, but when the food sucks I just felt like they should be joking less and focusing more on cooking up a good meal. It was pretty dead so it wasn't like they had a lot of customers waiting. This chain has been a hit or miss for me and this time it was definitely a miss. Sucks because the Cajun fries and burger can be pretty good if done well here. The pickles had no flavor whatsoever and tasted like tiny cucumbers. For $16, I want some flavor in my food. Should've gone to In N Out instead. A fraction of the cost and consistently better tasting. Now select your favorite beverage and then select from a list of flavors or mix-and-match. Vanilla Coke it is. NOW push the Push. Can I stop here? As a franchise, I rate franchises all together... unless a particular location, employee or menu item stands out. With that being said... great service and friendly personalities at this location. I told the cashier that it was my first time at five guys. I can't remember his name but he was a large black gentleman. He kindly walked me through the menu and relayed some expectations for five guys. That was very much appreciated! He even helped me with a gift certificate issue I was having. Very pleasant individual! I would try five guys again at this location because of that experience. Now to the food. I love the fact that you can customize your burger! We had this 2 nights in a row that's how good it is. 1st time trying it, it was dinner for my husband and myself, 2nd night was for the family, 4 of us. We ordered 4 burgers and 1 large order of fries, we spent $56 for all of us, prices everywhere have gone up so this feels about average cost. The burgers were so good, double patty and very filling, one large order of fries was plenty for a family of 4, 2 adults/2 kids. $7.29 for a hamburger? Well, yes and no. The first thing you see on the menu (top left) is a $7.29 burger and a $7.99 cheeseburger. But, what it doesn't tell you is that is for the 1/2 pound burger, not a single patty 1/4 pound burger. The other thing you need to know is that price includes your choice of several toppings including mushrooms. So if you like mushroom cheese burgers, this is a very good deal. My single cheese burger was $5.99. Add about $2.50 for the drink and it's less than $10 for lunch. But...they also have fresh french fries which will be poured all over your burger and also will start to get your napkins dirty. But, they taste great so it may just be worth it. You're going to get burger and fries all over your fingers so grab extra napkins. You're also going to get to choice whichever type of drink you like as they have one of those fancy "100 in 1" drink machines. This location shares its parking lot with several other popular eateries so parking can be tight. Also, many of the spots have the single line between slots as opposed to the double lines so opening your door can be a challenge. So, back to the burger. It is juicy and fresh and, with all the toppings you want, can be a bit messy. But, this is well worth it. It is a very good burger, a thick patty with fresh ingredients. Ask for extras (like pickles) and they are provided. This is part of the reason the prices are a bit higher. If you like a plain burger (cheese, lettuce, tomato, sauce), they you might not feel like you get your moneys worth. But, if you like a lot of toppings, then you will be happy.
