I loved how gentle they where and how friendly it was. Very calm, relaxing environment. I am usually a very picky person when it comes to people touching or working with my feet, and they did an amazing job with the pedicure. I will be coming here whenever I get another chance.

My friend and I used to go here. We got fungus here and she is losing her toenail next week by surgery. When we asked them to use our creams, we were denied. I got a full set with a little design and it only cost $55! I really appreciated them fitting me in within the hour after I called! The place was nice and quiet with pop radio playing in the back, which I prefer over serene spa music! I also loved that they called their returning clients by name and were very personable! I had a very nice experience here today! I called in and made an appointment on the same day (called around 11:30 am and got an appointment at 5:30pm). I arrived early and they were able to help me immediately. I had Debbie and got a gel manicure. Debbie is an artist!! And she is extremely detail oriented. She was very good and meticulous about making sure my nails were perfect. I definitely did not feel rushed at all. She helped me find the perfect combination of colors. I also showed her a picture of an intricate design on the ring finger and she was able to replicate it perfectly! I am so in love with my nails!

THESE LADIES ARE THE BEST. My grandma came here religiously for years, and she would take me and my mom as a treat to get pedicures. She was a very classy lady and knew her stuff! Now I come to get gel nails regularly, and I simply love it! It's a great community spot. Their pedicures are equally fabulous with great massages and attention to detail. Any time I'm traveling and pop into other nail salons, I'm always disappointed. Nowhere else can match. So many great color options and great atmosphere.

I am a loyal customer of Fancy Nails. It is small but clean, professional, and has very talented nail technicians. I have tried out 4 other salons in Monterey area that had prettier decor but lacked in service and were over priced for what they were offering. First time here. My normal nail tech had to cancel my appointment. I am so glad I found this place! And they could get me in. Very friendly staff, very clean. Small and not very busy, which I loved, I felt like the 4 ladies were just concentrating on their customers and not rushing! Would definitely recommend!! Great pricing too!! read more

Just had my nails done for my brother's wedding and I am in loooove!! I absolutely hate the idea of someone touching my feet one because I'm extremely ticklish and super sensitive--but this place has always made me feel at ease and they do such a great job! I also got acrylics for the first time and they are gorgeous, and Tina made sure to confirm what I wanted always. Everything is a pro to come here, the only thing I would say is make sure to book ahead as they get busy--definitely worth the planning! read more

I had made an appointment with a nail salon down the street. After waiting 30 minutes and noticing the disorganization and poor work, I left and decided to take my chances as a walk-in. Mimi was able to get me in for a mani-pedi combo. I love that the salon is small and that they take their time to work on you. Quality work and relaxing environment. Awesome foot massage. Great price. Being new to the area, I'm so glad I found Paradise Nails and will be making this my new salon. I will recommend Paradise Nails to everyone. It was so nice to be back in my favorite nail salon! I couldn't believe all the special measures and care taken to be safe and protected (for them too!) that have been implemented, including screens at the manicure tables and in between the pedi chairs. Great nail salon. I was visiting from Miami and a manicure/pedicure at my hotel/spa was $160 (regular not gel). After whale watching this salon was 10 minutes away. I paid around $60 for a regular gel mani/pedi. I would never do my toes again with gel. It took more than an hour to remove. The manicurist did a great job. Took her time, was patient and it came out beautiful. Lasted more than 5 weeks! Highly recommend this salon. read more

I got dip nails done today and Mimi did a fantastic job. I am a nail biter so she didn't have much to work with but she turned my sad little nubs into beautiful nails. She was incredibly friendly and very pleasant to chat with. The full set of dip nails was $40 which I feel is very reasonable for the area. Highly recommend! read more

This place is small but mighty! Here are my nails after about 4 days and they look BEAUTIFUL! Will be back again! The girl who did my nails was so gentle and meticulous about her work! I wish I got her name before I left. I would trust these girls with my nails again because I saw how she would catch her mistakes and go back and fix them without me asking. I went to Fancy Nails for the first time today. What a Hidden Treasure!!! I never knew they were there. It was GREAT! The ladies are so sweet, friendly and funny! The place is clean and comfortable. Tee did the base of my manicure and pedicure and Tina did my design - I will say since it is a pride design, it has many colors and I feel like a lot of people in the salon were like omg so many colors - not in a bad way but just in general. But I think the service was great and pricing reasonable for what I got. Tee had to deal with my not great feet that are prone to ingrowns and thus have a lot of dead skin like underneath the corners - I kept apologizing and she was very kind. Lots of creams and a steamer for the pedi I got which was nice. I will say, I don't think I saw them open their tools for the pedicure from a sealed like bag, they just came from the back on a tray - though it's possible that they were just opened away from me. Tina was very kind and did my designs which were fairly...detailed I would say. When I had a want of more paint or more jewels, she did it without complaint - I am very quiet when I am in a nail salon personally - or at least I was in a quiet mode so I did feel bad for being silent but not much judgement from what I can tell. So many people are popping in and out and I would say I don't know how they manage all the clients they have with maybe like 6 people? But they do. My mani pedi took 1.5 hours for reference. I will update this as far as wear later on. I would say it was good quality service for the price and for a general nail salon - you may disagree if you are used to going to nail art specific people perhaps but that's my view. As far as vibes - super busy like I said - people come and talk to each other while they get services - not what I like to do personally but there's lots of that. Employees talk to themselves in their language but surprisingly quietly, I had no idea how they all heard each other. There are two big TVs they have generic shows and ads running on and general spa music. They also have a either ancestor altar, and or ancestor plate - I think that is what it is called though I am not certain - in the front. I thought it was a nice touch personally.

My previous Dazzle Dry manicure, done while on vacation, lasted 10 days without chipping because it was properly applied. I may have misunderstood what was possible, so the design wasn't quite what I had pictured, and one nail broke shortly after. They kindly called me back and redid them with a cat eye design, which I really loved. Unfortunately, within just a couple days, the new set also started breaking. Even after being fixed once for free, two more nails broke off in less than 3 days. For $80, I expected my nails to last much longer. I won't be returning, but I do really appreciate the staff's kindness and trying to fix it. And hope they can improve their technique.

This place is great! You NEED to make an appointment though, as they only have 3 chairs for nails and 3 for pedicures. I paid $35 for a full set of acrylics and gel polish, which is definitely competitive pricing for this area. Tina took her time with my nails and was very gentle with my cuticle because they were damaged (I bite them, tsk) did not hurt at all like some places. I was really glad that she didn't file off a thick layer of my nail like some places, only what was needed to ensure the nail would stay properly. My only criticism is that I wasn't asked if I wanted a design even though I was looking at them (missed opportunity, I was ready to spend more money!) so my advice, just be very clear with what you want. Otherwise, totally great place. Friendly, thorough, clean, good price. read more

Mimi did such a great job! I came in with some pretty horribly done acrylics and she fixed me right up! Got the perfect almond shape which is big for me because I like shorter nails! I have been with MeMe since 1996! So when she moved to the Olympia Plaza, I followed her! She is the best! My nails are always great looking! Last 2 1/2 weeks! The pedicure is like heaven! That is a treat for me! Call 1st, make an appt, and you're going to be a happy customer! read more
