The store offered a great array of nail colors. While I don't have pictures, I was super pleased with the outcome of my pedicure that as of this writing is STILL intact. I just want to say that I recently lost my nail tech suddenly and broke a nail. I was in a panic trying to find someone in the Seaside area that does nails to my liking as you know it's very hard as nail salons in the area are very outdated and not up to speed on modern nail designs, styles and shapes. Fancy Nails has stayed on top as my favorite, though, with most of the women being good with pedicures and Mimi being my preferred tech for nails. I loved this little place! We lived in Monterey for 2 years, but I didn't find this place until our last few months there. I wish I had found it sooner! I got dip nails done a couple of times, which never chipped or came off, even when packing for a move or dealing with a toddler. The pedicure I got once was SO amazing and relaxing, and I feel she really took her time on me, which was great. I also got a gel manicure done right before we left, and that stuff stayed on for over a month (with chips showing up a couple weeks in), and the design I asked for was replicated perfectly. They were very meticulous and they kept everything sterile as they went, cleaning and switching gloves as needed. Worst experience ever!!!! I was charged full price for half ass service that was rushed because they had people coming in. I went in for a full set & a pedicure. Left with both my hands & feet being unfinished because I was unhappy with their service. My feet were just cut soaked & lightly rubbed 5min & excessively lotioned to the point she had to get a towel to remove all the access lotion. My nails were crooked uneven & the acrylic was not applied fully correct on some. When I expressed I shouldn't be charged full price for half assed rushed service the lady tried to say she spent an hr & a half on my nails but in all reality I was in the salon 36 minutes. Smh. I came here because of Yelp. I get my nails done in Las Vegas, but I was here. So I decided to try it. I asked for gel. They gave me a selection to choose from. I told the lady do not cut my cuticle. She said ok. But I told her 3 times because she kept cutting them. Next morning- I looked and have a cut on my cuticle. What the heck? I told you don't cut them. Gel nails should last three weeks. I left looking the a 5 year old did my nails... not only is the paint uneven that my thumb nail polish came off... the design is not at all okay the moon looks like a C that is about to connect. I know the owner of the store knew she messed up on my nails becuase she ushered me out of the salon so fast and had audacity to ask me for 40 dollar! This is not 40 dollars plus tip work. She didn't even offer to fix my nails... I will never go to this place. I wouldn't even go back to have her fix them even if she paid me and it's been less then 24hrs... I'm am beyond happy and pleased with my nails and the work she put in. Took a little over 2 hours but they're perfect. I recommend making an appointment cause the girls in here are always busy.
