I was looking for an artist who could give me a fun vision for upcoming events. Nina and the crew at Vanity Nails were amazing!

Very happy with my experience. I came here for the first time today and it was great. The environment was nice quiet and clean. But mainly Susie and Angie are what made this experience nice. One worked on my mani while the other worked on my pedi both turned out so nice and I loved that both of them paid attention to detail! Even asking me every once in awhile if it still looked good to me. I appreciate that. Will definitely be coming back. (Posting pic of the manicure only due to not really wanting to post my feet lol but my pedi looked just as great! )

I just found this Great Nail Salon. It's a very Classy and Clean little place. It has a relaxing atmosphere and the people were wonderful. Most importantly their work was Excellent! But the Best thing is.I finally found a really great place to get my nails done! Thank you so much Vanity Nails! I love my nails.

Where do I even start? If I could give it half a star I would. First of all they sat me down, then they worked on other customers and cleaned their store. When I posted about the dirty towel the young girl comes up to me IN THE MIDDLE OF MY PEDICURE and goes "can you take down your yelp review its not dirty its just nail polish" Missed or late to your appointment? Don't worry! They'll blow up your phone with phone calls until you answer and explain When I tried to explain that to a paying customer you give me a dirty towel her response was that they "wash them and its not dirty." But I as a paying customer sit down with no explanation get a towel with brown stuff on it? And then am asked to be silenced because its bad for business? They then at the end of my appointment started someone else's pedicure with no gloves and just left mine. Last time I ever come here Ive tried 3 times I'll stick with nails on kass st in monterey better service and pedicure

I've been searching for a good nail salon in the area. I would drive all the way to San Jose to get any mail services, but this place definitely has been giving the same quality that I found in San Jose. It is a super small shop so I would suggest always calling before heading there! Bring in pictures of any looks you were thinking of and they really do their best to match it!

Finding your go to nail shop is always hard when you are new to an area. I've tried out several shops and this has been my favorite so far. I called to make an appt and luckily I was able to get my nails done the same day. When I arrived the wait was short, however, I was not greeted for a few mins which was quite awkward. My nail technician was gentle but wasn't afraid to get in there and get all my cuticles removed. I was concerned about my thumb nail because it was splitting. A thin layer of acrylic was applied on top of this nail to protect it. The massage at the end was relaxing and such a nice way to end my manicure. I got the gel manicure which ran me $35 before tip. Not the cheapest shop I've been to, however, not the most expensive. My biggest gripe about this shop is that there are no prices listed online, or on display inside of the salon which I'm not a fan of.

Came here because of the great reviews and proximity to my house. They fit me in on short notice, and I love how they turned out. I hate when I get gel polish and my nails look all thick from so many coats. I wanted a natural shade this time and it came out great. She shaped my nails exactly how I like and she checked in with me multiple times to make sure I liked the shape, length, color, etc. She also redid my flower design until it was perfect. Will be going back here from now on.

Well worth the 30 minute drive from Watsonville.

Asked for a last minute appointment and was easily booked in. Andy worked on my acrylic nails and was so attentive to his work. He spent a good portion of the time making sure the shape was perfect and shaved down the underside which many nail techs forget. He did an amazing job and I will go out of my way to get my nails done here even though I live in San Jose. And I'll specifically ask for Andy he did an amazing job!

Clean! This is important. I had to wait since I was a walk-in, but I was prepared with a good book. Bench was very comfy and ambience was pleasant. I had a gel pedicure that was done well. Price was $50. Bathroom is gender neutral, location is easy to access with ample parking. Very friendly staff, chairs & tables were all in good repair. 10 stars & highly recommended. read more

My absolutely favorite nail salon on the peninsula. I rolled in a few months ago to get my nails done for my engagement shoot, literally the morning of, even though I'd never been before. They did an AMAZING job - the perfect nail shape, beautiful design, really friendly techs. I have been going back for wedding nail practice/trials and have loved every single one they have done. All of the techs are super talented. The salon is on the smaller side - 4 or 5 pedicures chairs and nail stations, but the space is perfect. They have incredibly fair pricing - especially for the quality. Whenever I go it is very clear that they have a ton of regulars and take the time to know their people. I can't imagine going anywhere else! read more

I found Nina on a lucky whim when I moved to Monterey County almost 4 years ago and have followed her since! Very happy she and Lam decided to open their own shop! Service is always great, I definitely recommend an appointment, especially on the weekends. Customer Service is also great, its a relaxed cozy environment. Many of us joke and openly laugh with Nina and Lam. I have had a Pedi from all of them and they are all through and detailed. Nina normally does my nails and no compliants. I have to also throw in that my husband is also a regular and enjoys his services from Andy or Angie. Highly recommend, reasonably priced as well read more

Let me just start by saying that I have had some of my best nails done here. For one, I have never felt pressured to get something I didn't want or been upsold, which I really appreciate. Secondly, the quality and care that went into my acrylic gel nails means I've been able to wear the same set of acrylics and get fills only for over three months with my natural nails still very healthy underneath. This also means I've saved a lot of money and wear/tear on my natural nails. Also, the staff here is very up front regarding what they can or can't do, so you know exactly what to expect and they never want to send you away with nails you are unhappy with. Lastly, the owners are very charming and funny; I highly recommend coming here! read more

Visited Monterey for the weekend and last minute searched for a place to destress and get a mani/ pedi for me and a pedi with no polish for my husband. So glad we stumbled across this nail salon! Come here for the best relaxing acoustic music videos, a quiet vibe, the comfiest hot pad on the backs of the pedi massage chairs, and treated by the sweetest family run business. Loved my polish color and the careful and thorough care we received for the most reasonable price. Will come back again next time I'm in town!! read more

Overall, just ok. I called ahead and scheduled a manicure and pedicure. It's a smaller salon with only 4 pedicure stations and 3 manicure seats. Good customer service, workers are more on the quiet side which I like. They have hot tea and water for customers. They don't offer packages for nails such as a deluxe pedicure (hot stones, foot mud mask, hot wax, etc). It's a basic pedicure which unfortunately means not being able to peel my dead skin and smooth out my rough, cracked heels. Decent color selection. My manicure was good but I didn't get any technical designs or anything. I'll probably try another spot out but come here as a last resort or emergency. read more

I was from out of town and looking for the best nail place. This place was clean family-friendly I believe family owned. The nail stations were cleaner than any place I've ever been. They brought out clean equipment for my nail fill. And for my pedicure, they put the cape in the bottom of the bowl and when they were done, they sprayed the bowl down and wiped it out as well. Lam did my acrylic fill. He listened to the shape I wanted. He was a perfectionist. Next time I visit Marina . I am definitely going there. read more

I asked for a pedicure and a full acrylic set. The person how did my full set, didn't even cut my cuticles or give me a hand massage. I understand that they were busy but I asked for a service and payed WAY TOO MUCH for a half ass job. Save your money and go somewhere else. I paid 83 for my service and regretted walking in. My nails grew out WAY too fast because they didn't cut my cuticles like they should. read more

She takes her time making sure I am happy with how my nails look and she does it with precision and high quality. She doesn't overcharge and both husband and wife have a great sense of humor. Yum and Nina are not only amazing nail technicians, but they're amazing people! I made a same day appointment for me and my 4 year old niece and when we got there they were both ready to go. Nina did my pedicure and Yum did my manicure. Truthfully, these are the best almond shaped, French tipped nails I've ever had. He got them beautifully straight and thin so they don't curve over my fingers and the almond shape is pristine. I wish their business was in my home town because I'd never go anywhere else again! After he finished my nails he did my niece's nails and they are so pretty. She is 4 and absolutely loves her nails. He was patient and talked to her and made it all about her. You won't regret giving this newer business a try. read more

Very quick work as well, but the final result is always beautiful in my experience. If I tell the nail technician what I want, she does exactly that. The nail techs are extremely quick, which can result in some minor nicks and discomfort - but nothing too bad. It just happens when you're working quickly, so keep that in mind if you're sensitive. The procedure for dip powder is a quick one - no curing required. So it can be a nice option for those who are wary about the curing lamps. They cut, buff, dip a few times, then shape the nail, and add the finishing touches. It takes around an hour or less for a basic dip powder manicure. Which is great if you're in a rush. I highly suggest the more translucent shimmers with a few gem touches (top row in the swatch book), it makes for an elegant manicure. Overall I would come back for a quick manicure / pedicure and highly suggest people to try them out. A lot of nail salons get booked in advanced so it's great to see that some salons (like this one) can accommodate walk-ins.

When I went back to ask for a repair, I was being charged $10 dollars. In terms of friendly customer service, I would question it, my daughter requested a specific tone of color and was given the 1 tone the nail shop had available. They used gel color to paint the tip or her nail rather than powder like most nail spas. She was never asked if that tone was okay or whether she wanted to choose something different. Also the nail beds look cloudy as opposed to a transparent glossy finish. She even showed the nail tech an image of what she wanted and got something different and was charged $55 for some cheap work. When I went to talk to the owner Susan who apparently was the person who worked on my daughter's nails she wanted to charge me $35 to fix the one nail and change the color. Mind you I was not asking for a change of completely color. I was primarily asking for the nail to be fixed. Had I paid the $35 i would have been paying a total of $90 for a super short set . I dislike being "that" person but figured it's fair for others to know how they may invest their money. Check the pics out. Ultimately, she fixed the broken nail for free and did a worser job. Didn't even bother cleaning it, shaping it or ensuring it was the same length/width to her other thumb. Im now gana have to go home and file the sides and length. Never again...

Susan did my manicure and even did a little massage on my hands a bit after she was done. As a massage therapist I appreciated it! Andy did my sister nails and he was awesome and very funny! We were there closer to 6 (closing time) and the wasn't a sense being rushed or anything he took his time to finish her nails. They do an amazing job at their work, but they lack listening. I've gone a total of 4 times to give it numerous chances and failed. $35 pedicure turned into $50 when I've repeatedly said the $35 one. Same with a normal gel manicure. Not that I can't afford it, but it's the principle. Do better! read more
