Everyone was very nice and it wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't great. They asked me that day to change my appointment time to come in earlier, which I did, and then I was kept waiting 20 minutes. I was just about to leave when they finally were ready to help me. it was disappointing to agree to help them out by changing my appointment time and then be left sitting there, wasting my time. I had booked online with a tech who had great reviews but was given someone else. I decided to stay anyway. I paid extra for Dazzle Dry, which is peeling after 2 days. My previous Dazzle Dry manicure, done while on vacation, lasted 10 days without chipping because it was properly applied. I feel bad because the staff seems really sweet but based on reviews and my experience, results can be inconsistent. read more

I visited this salon twice, and while the staff were SUPER kind and welcoming, the quality wasn't what I expected for the price. On my first visit, I asked for a cat eye black chrome design. I may have misunderstood what was possible, so the design wasn't quite what I had pictured, and one nail broke shortly after. They kindly called me back and redid them with a cat eye design, which I really loved. Unfortunately, within just a couple days, the new set also started breaking. Even after being fixed once for free, two more nails broke off in less than 3 days. For $80, I expected my nails to last much longer. I won't be returning, but I do really appreciate the staff's kindness and trying to fix it. And hope they can improve their technique. read more

I had an amazing experience! I walked in, and they were able to assist me without an appointment. I wait twenty minutes, which that's the timeframe they gave me. I initially wanted Gel, but the tech informed me of a natural polish that dried in a few minutes. I chose it, and it was so worth it! No chemicals, and it comes off with regular polish removal! It made my nails strong too! The tech was so sweet and kind! I loved that the salon was extremely clean, and sterile equipment was used on all clients! I was in Monterey so I went to try Nails on Cass Street out for the first time. Julie did my nails. She was very passive aggressive, and her energy was VERY negative from the moment I sat down. She made unnecessary sarcastic comments about the length of my nail beds being super long, the length of my real nails (that she cut uneven). And now 4 days later, the French tip has already come off. I had asked for a squared coffin shape, and she shaped it almost oval shaped. Overall, I was not happy with how my nails came out, but it was already after 7 when they closed, and she had already taken so long to shape my nails short, so it would have taken longer for her to fix the shape she already messed up on, with cutting my nails short. I showed her the picture with the acrylic, but I wanted it with no acrylic (since my nails are naturally long) which Is what I requested. You can see in the pictures I posted below what I got looks nothing like what I requested. read more

I needed an immediate manicure for a special event. I called and Julie took me within 30 minutes of my call on a Saturday morning. I needed to add two acrylic tips on one hand. The salon is tucked next to Heirloom Pizza. Plenty of parking. Nice shop with a big screen TV. I am uncomfortable when the technician uses a file and tools that has been previously used. I have been a victim of nail infections in the past. I wound up getting a manicure using dip powder and spent way too much money, $75 including a 20% tip. I am now done with these people! Today was my 2nd time and was worse than the 1st. It was freezing in there. Raining outside and your legs and feet sticking out. I went in for a spa pedicure. Nothing about it was spa. I was charged $70!! I have been getting pedicures for many years with gel nail polish. She told me they do not use it because you have to soak it off. Funny I went in there the 1st time with gel nails and it came right off. The 1st time I went in there I asked for short and rounded toe nails. I got square. She massaged one leg only and put the flowers on the side of my big toe instead of center. I still wrote a good review and gave an excellent tip. I figured I would give it one more try. The 1st thing I did when I arrived was to tell her what she did wrong last time. I was charged $70 last time and $70 this time and came out with no design. I tried to ask why it was $70 when I got no design this time. She said it is $10 for a flower. Never mind I got a flower on both big toes for $70 last time. So I came out freezing cold, with straight toenails yet again and no design and paid $70. They do not listen and do not care what YOU WANT. She tried to tell me I paid $60 last time. I went home and checked my bank statement. It was $70. We moved from Aptos . I got a pedicure every month with gel nails and a flower on each big toe. The best longest massages ever and the place was cozy and warm. Never paid more than $45. No atmosphere and cold and not very friendly. Off I go!! read more

Honestly worst experience ever! Don't go! Made an appointment for my birthday and they "didn't have time to do my manicure." I've never been to a nail place where staff do NOT know how to do a full set or dip.....so basically they can only paint nails?!?!?! They took no walk ins, could not accommodate client needs and were awful at customer service. They did a good job on the dip nails for my friend. My pedicure was awful- they have shitty color choices and then didn't even remove my callus despite paying for it. They charged me $18 to file my nails and cut my cuticles since they couldn't accommodate my appointment. No care from staff or even apologies. No remose from them. Sold gel nails @ $65.00, but put on press on nails instead! That was only the start! I also asked for their primer $65.00 pedicure. From the half hearted massage to the painful nipping, it was all down hill. For the first time in my life I thought of walking out without paying for my services!! (However, my sense of right and wrong wouldn't allow it...) no matter how badly someone's service is I t's never OK to walk out without paying. But I can honestly tell you I didn't leave a tip at all for either person. I would never recommend the salon to anyone... And I mean, even my worst enemy, I would never ever recommend, this salon to anyone! read more

Got a gel manicure and I'm not sure what even got done. My cuticles were still a mess and it looked like I had painted my own nails. I went back and asked her to fix them and she attempted to clean them up and really did not accomplish anything. First picture is of them when I got to my car and then second is after she "fixed" them. I also just said I wanted my nails shaped and she ended up taking all of my length off. My nails were beyond the tips of my fingers and now they're little stI ended up going to another salon to get them fixed and now they look like they're actually professionally done. After spending over $100 I was extremely upset, lesson learned. Do not recommend. Update: they commented on here to email for a refund. I emailed and never heard back from them. read more

I called and made an appointment the day before for the following day, a Saturday. Two days prior I had my first experience with powder dipped nails and hated the nails. The nail tech put too many coats and my nails were soooo thick. I was in Carmel for a wedding and I wanted to get my nails redone. Sonya did my nails on this day and she was very accommodating. Instead of taking the powder off and going with all gel like I wanted, she suggested filing down the powder and just reapplying gel. She said it would cost $25 (cheaper) and take less time. She was helpful with selecting the color, and she was patient with me when I couldn't make up mind. The salon was clean, airy, and welcoming. They have many color options and offer a variety of nail polishes for you to choose from. I highly recommend this business! read more

I moved here a few months ago and went to Nails on Cass Street for my fist mani/pedi since moving to the west coast. I feel that I was misled by the reviews I saw. Everything was very timely but I felt extremely judged the entire experience. I requested oval shaped nails to which I got the response "are you sure? Oval would make your nails look even shorter." I have always gotten oval or almond nails and was just taken aback by this comment. I also had someone working on my fingernails and another individual working on my toe nails. The two co-workers were discussing restaurants they had been to lately and, being new to the area, I asked where/what the restaurants were that they were talking about. I only got a nasty look in response as they continued talking to each other. Now that was just the experience at the location. Two of my dip powder nails broke within three hours of getting them done. All ten of nail tips had broken within less than a week. These girls seriously work hard to take everyone that comes to the door. If you don't like to wait, make an appointment like the rest of us that are already in there. Some of these low star comments don't fit with their service and are most likely fake. They always fix anything someone doesn't like, but you have to tell them. Had a wonderful experience at this salon! Brought a whole entourage to get their nails done on a Saturday! Called over a month in advance after doing a quick check for nail salons near our hotel. They happily took our appointment and said that they would have no problem accommodating the large party -- 6 people total (We had 5 Pedicures and 5 manicures--which was perfect since they had 5 pedicure seats). They were wonderful. We strolled in with our coffees and were seated immediately with the pedicure seats already filling with water. It was great.
