My nails were a three star experience at best. My pedicure was four stars. I visited in April 2025 as a walk in. I was in the area on a quick weekend getaway with my husband. I was recently healing from a health/medical incident, and I really wanted a mani pedi. The salon is clean and was mostly relaxing. I found the staff to be polite and accommodating, too. I wanted airbrushed ombre nails and showed a picture of what I have gotten at a salon I've been to near my hometown. The first woman looked at my picture and suggested a younger girl do my nails because she is apparently very good at nail art and special requests. I wish I could remember her name; I'd written it down previously, but I can't find it! Anyway, she was on her phone the entire time. She had her AirPods in and talked and talked. I won't even go into the details, but I learned a lot about her against my will. What was supposed to be a relaxing experience turned into an anxious experience for me. From this conversation, I learned that she was supposed to leave earlier but my nail situation was going to make her late. This made me feel nervous because I didn't want to make her late, but she was in the middle of doing my nails! She said she could do the type of nails I wanted, but in the end--she couldn't! She made one of my nails bleed and it hurt! Then, when she couldn't do my ombre nails, I just suggested she do a French tip. The white part of the nails was so thick and pretty messy. She didn't even bother to fix it because she was late for her next appointment outside of the salon. She left before the entire manicure was done and someone else finished up with the massage etc. My pedicure was delightful. The pedicure okay was gentle, attentive, and kid. I really enjoyed the deluxe pedicure, and I'd come back just for that. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE I quit frequenting this salon - even though I'd call and make an appointment, they'll accept almost every walk-in, including right as I come in for my appointment time, and then I end up waiting 30-60 minutes AFTER my appointment time because they're rushing through the walk-ins and will try to fit me in after that. One time I booked a manicure and pedicure, and kept being told they were almost ready for me as they try to work on walk-ins. In all, I waited almost an hour and was about to walk out when they said they were ready. I told them I had to pick my child up at a specific time, so they rushed through a shoddy pedicure and then told me to come back for a manicure. I would like to support Mikey but I don't have that kind of time to waste. I am much happier at Carmel Rancho Nails... they honor appointments and do a much better job overall. read more

Lasted forever and cleaned my cuticle like never before! 10/10 Gel x done by a lady, she was kind but seemed like she may need alittle more training, they didn't last at all, but deff going back to try out other techniques- they have sooo many!! Bad experience, unprofessional nail person. I made an appointment at this place because my previous Nail Spa is moving, trying to stay in Carmel Valley. The person doing my nails had no idea how to do cuticles; she kind of picked at them, nothing more, see pics. I also told her while getting my nails done that she was not painting the edges of some of my nails; she glared at me when I mentioned this. She would also blurt out at other attendants about whatever she thought was wrong, mean! When I was finished, I couldn't see how bad my nails looked because my hands were still moisturized. I got the gel polish so my mani would last; today is Saturday, got my nails done the previous Tuesday, it's been four days, my cuticles look horrible. I regret that I gave this person who had no business doing nails a full gratuity; as mentioned, I couldn't tell how bad my nails looked until the moisturizer on my hands had worn off. Went to the salon for my first time. Everyone was so friendly. Salon was clean. Gel pedicure was great. BUT my dip manicure was pretty bad.. the lady who did the manicure was so nice but the manicure was one of the worst I've ever had. Very uneven. Some of my nail isn't even covered with polished. Super uneven filing. I am so sad because I wanted this to be my new salon.. unfortunately I won't be back. I would've asked her to fix it had there only been a nail or two but all 10 nails need to be redone. Not worth my time. Pictures don't really do it justice.. but I attempted to take photos for reference **update: the owner Mickey reached out immediately and offered to redo my manicure. He did an outstanding job. ENRAGED WRITING THIS REVIEW!!!! BEWARE OF SCAMMING!!!!! I called the week before Mother's Day to ask about a digital gift card and the person who answered had me Venmo them in place of a physical or digital gift card. I asked for two $100 gift cards.Thought it was a little weird but they confirmed everything on their end and said they received the payment. My sister who was gifted one of the gift cards ($100) went in to get her nails done used the giftcard and they said that only $55 was on the card!!!! The card had never been used before so that is just not accurate. They made her pay and basically scammed me out of my money. Just wanted to do something nice - it's a shame their business practices are so shady because the nails came out pretty good. We are extremely unhappy and need to warn people!!! Mikey is amazing at taking the time to make sure designs and the nails in general are perfectly done, I have loved every set he's done for me! My dad loved the pedicure he got as well. However, I had another worker do my nails before Christmas and they didn't turn out how I exactly as planned and they started to lift the next day so I had them fixed while on vacation BUT ill still come back as Mikey does beautiful work :) read more

Not what I expected, they have too much coating. Some nails are different sizes. When I asked for chrome powder and showed her a picture she just nodded and agreed even though she didn't understand me. She mistakenly gave me French tip so I asked for chrome powder again with some help from her coworker. She just put the powder on top of my already done nails and slathered on more clear coat. I probably would have said something if I noticed but it was close to closing and I didn't want to take too long leaving. I've been coming to this salon for a while now. It is by far my favorite in the area! It is not only beautiful and elegant inside, but everyone working is so pleasant and great at what they do. Every picture inspiration I bring has been matched or exceeded to the tiniest detail, or sometimes I let Mikey work his artist magic and I get a beautiful surprise set like this one here I have received so many compliments on this set, and it's one of my favorites as well.
